"Kagome stop fidgeting!" Kaede whispered harshly.

"I'm sorry I'm just nervous what if he's-"

"What if I'm what?" Inuyasha asked as he sauntered in to the rather plain Parlor room.

Startled Kagome's head snapped up when she heard Inuyasha speak her eyes focused on his person, and was pleased by what she saw. He was as sharp as a tack even though his glossy black hair was unfashionably long, but in her eyes it added to his appeal, as did his piercing amber eyes. All around as far as looks go she found Inuyasha St. Clair very handsome, and very wealthy from what she was slowly gathering. He seemed to be Kikyo's kind of man, but if he was, or is, then why did she run away?

Inuyasha had to say that he was taken back a bit when he saw Kagome this time around, because this time she was a vixen compared to the hermit he had met a day earlier.

But when matched up against Kikyo did she compare? He looked her again his gaze sweeping her body as best he could, do to the fact that she was sitting. What he saw was very pleasing to both his mind and body.

"What are you starring at sir?" Came a rather shrill voice.

Inuyasha winced and finally took notice of Kagome's companion she was an older woman probably in her late 30's early 40's. "My gift if you must know." He replied rather rudely. "Do you have a problem Miss-?"

"Kaede, and as a matter of fact I do have a problem." The woman exclaimed her heavy French accent making itself known.

Kagome intervened before any more words could be exchanged between the two. "Kaede, calm yourself you knew of the situation before we arrived, now that we're here do not become an albatross around his lordship's neck." She paused before smiling gently, teasing. "Like you are around mine."

Kaede grumbled. "Poppycock."

Inuyasha watched the scene between the two women unfold with interest he soon found himself enthralled by the sound of Kagome's voice it was very soft, from barely being used he assumed.

"Why don't I have Myoga show you ladies to your rooms?" Inuyasha suggested.

Kagome's brown eyes clashed with Inuyasha's amber one's and something passed between the two of them that neither understood. "Yes that would be lovely." Kagome replied.

Inuyasha ringed for Myoga. When he arrived Inuyasha gave him directions on what to do with the two ladies and their luggage.

He turned to Kagome briefly and smiled. "We shall discuss what your duties shall be after dinner."

Both women watched as he left leaving the door open behind him so Myoga had no trouble with the bags.

Kaede huffed. "Discuss?" She said rolling her eye. "The only thing that man wants to discuss is getting between your thighs."

Kagome blushed, and walked ahead of Kaede a little faster to avoid speaking of what she was sure to eventually do with the Viscount St. Clair.

Both women followed Myoga to their rooms the manservant was around Kaede's age he was sturdily built, and talked with and Irish brogue. "You ladies will be residing in these conjoined rooms until Madame Kagome's sleeping arrangement are changed." He paused letting his words sink in with both woman. "If there is anything you two should need summon for myself or any of the other working members of the staff, and if this is all I shall be one may way."

"Who will send word about dinner?" Kagome blurted.

Myoga smiled. "I will come back and escort both of you ladies to dinner."

The aging man turned to exit leaving the two women to their own devices. Both women were pleased to be left alone if only for a little bit.

"Look at this bed it's so big!" Kagome exclaimed. "I've never seen a thing like it."

Kaede watched in joy as Kagome explored both of the rooms with rapidly growing fascination. "It's all so beautiful."

The exploration was interrupted by a short knock at the door than a turn of the knob. Soon the two women were starring a several maids who had brought in a large tub filled with warm water, and smelling salts.

"The master has order us to bring up this bath and salt for you miss." Said one of the maids.

Kagome smiled brightly. "Thank you." A few seconds went by and most of the maids left all except one.

The woman was very pretty with her abundance of red hair she smiled in a friendly demeanor and hand Kagome the bath salts. "Here you go my lady it's the salts that the master wanted for you to be scented with." She paused. `It's Vanilla."

As soon as the maid had passed the salts off to her she hurried out of the room before Kagome could get her name.

"Well lass lets get you into the tub and dressed for success, because something tells me that the Viscount St. Clair isn't a patient man."

Inuyasha waited with ill concealed agitation for Kagome to appear at the dinner table it had been nearly 10 minutes since he had sent for her and so far she was a no show.

Signaling Myoga to his side he whispered harshly into the man's ear once he reached him. "What the hell is taking so god damn long?"

"Nothing Milord it seems that you gift has just arrived."

Turning Inuyasha eyes landed on her graceful form descending down the steps. As she approached the last 5 steps she made a misstep tumbling the rest of the way down and landing not so gracefully on her butt.

Both men made a move to grab her before she fell but their attempt were unsuccessfully.

"Kagome are you alright?" Inuyasha asked as he helped her to her feet.

Blushing as she attempted to steady herself. "Yes I' am thank you for asking."

Ushering her to her seat Inuyasha acted as the perfect gentleman and pulled back her seat for her. "Were is Kaede?" He asked trying to strike up a conversation.

Happy for the change of subject she began talking. "She was tired from the journey here so she decided to take a nap."

Nodding his understand as he rounded the table and took his seat. "Well I guess our conversation will be much easier without Kaede around." Looking around at his staff he began to dismiss them one by one until soon the room was empty.

"Much better." He said as he dug into his meal. "So you do have some idea as to why you're here right?"

Kagome nodded her head as she pushed her food around on her plate. "Yes I do."

Inuyasha looked up from his plate to her face and to notice of the blush that graced her high cheekbones. "Tell me." He said wanting to test her. "Tell me why you're here."

"I' am your gift." She paused then looked up from her plate looking him in the eye. "Your whore."

Inuyasha stood, his chair scraping across the hard wood floor. "Don't call yourself that!" He shouted.

"Why not? It's true." She replied taking a bite of her asparagus.

Inuyasha's amber eyes had a gleam in it that they did not have in them before as he rounded the table coming to a halt right behind her. "So you think yourself a whore now do you?" He asked seductively in her ear.

A chill ran up her spine. With him being so close it made her breath hitch. "It doesn't matter what I think." She whispered quietly.

He smirked against the shell of her ear darting his tongue out he ran it across sensitive skin of her lobe. "Your right." He said in that low gruff voice of his. "It doesn't matter."

Kagome couldn't squelch the fluttering in her belly nor could see do a thing about the tingling in her ear. "Are you finished, Milord?" She squeaked.

Her virginal attitude was something he wasn't used to he found it interesting yet annoying. Smirking once again as an idea fell into place in his head. Maybe he could loosen her up a bit that way when it came time to take her maidenhead it wouldn't be such a trial.

"Finished?" He asked as he pulled her seat back and offering his hand to her helping her up. "I'm far from it." Tugging her into his arms he looked into her eyes, and saw fear, apprehension, and curiosity. It was cute his little virgin was afraid, but once he had conquered her fears, and unlocked the door to her passions she would be just as skilled as her whore of a sister.

A surge of anger hit him as he thought about Kikyo that bitch would regret running out on him like she did. He would make a fool out of her, by making her half sister who was a bastard by law, a Viscountess…a wealthy one too!

His attention turned to Kagome once again she was still staring at him with those uncertain emotions in her eyes. His arms tightened around her waist mechanically, and just like he had done countless times before he lowered his head toward her brushing her velvet soft lips with his own he groaned at the contact, he hadn't expected her lips to be a soft as the were.

He felt her body grow lax in his arms, and knew she was giving herself over to him. To the kiss.

She was enjoying the feel of his lips, and the small caresses he placed on her back making her feel way too comfortable. He kissed her at a leisure pace and she didn't mind because after all this was her first real kiss. Time seemed to slow down and freeze for them because it felt like forever before they even broke apart.

Inuyasha smirked at her flush appearance. "Get used to such intimacies." He paused. "Because once you are my wife you'll be engaging yourself in them often enough."

Kagome face went from being dazed to outrage. "W-Wife?" She stuttered. "But you can't marry me."

"Why can't I?" He asked coolly.

"Because I' am to be your whore, not your wife." She panicked.

"I truly don't see the difference." He sighed.

Kagome's outraged swiftly changed again yet this time it was anger that can. "NO DIFFERENCE!" She shouted. "Why you egotistical JERK!"

"It seems my bride has shown her true color." He said his amusement evident, but it quickly vanished. "You will be my wife by the end of next month." He growled. "That gives you six weeks to prepare for your duties as a wife to me." Inuyasha could see the sparks of defiance in her eyes but ignored. "Is that clear?"

"As crystal." She said as she pulled free his grasp. "I'm no longer hungry I shall go to my room now."

Inuyasha watched as she turned her back to leave. "Did I say you could go?" He asked arrogance dripping from his tone.

Kagome faced Inuyasha with murder in her eyes. "You don't own me." She growled.

"Your wrong my dear because I do." Inuyasha said as he stood and walked over to her taking her chin firmly between his fore fingers. "You're my bitch, and if I tell you to jump you say how high."

Pulling her chin free she smiled coldly before she did the unthinkable. She raised her hand and struck him. "Goodnight Inuyasha." And with that she turned and left.

Inuyasha was dumbstruck and just watched her go silently promising that he would make her pay dearly for such a blunder.

Kagome ran quickly to her room she desperately needed to talk to Kaede. How in the hell could she disappear with her money if she was locked to Inuyasha in holy matrimony? This was definitely not good.
