Chapter 6~Surprise Meeting!
~~~~~~Kagome walked through the medoew and wondered what to do, but all she could think of was her promise. The promise to do her family right, to do what she thought her family honer wanted of her. So she walked back to the carraige and the monk, the toad like demom and told them she would do it. No sooner had she gotten to them before the toad shoved the vile into her face. She didnt say a word but took the vile and drank it like it was her last drink.
~~~~~Kagome wasnt sure what she was drinking but she had made her choice. Miroku and Jaken did not ask but just took what she did as her answer. Although they didnt say a word both were relived and pleased that the young princess would drink the potion and marry thier master, but no one could expect what would happen when she finally saw thier lord and his young sister.

~~~~~Up in the tower Inu watched the young girl walk back to the carriage and say some words he could not hear. His hearing was far more attune than normal beings but at this range it did him no good but his eye sight did not fail him. After a few words, he saw Jaken practically shove the vile in the girls face. With what looked like a deep sigh she drank it all, showing the empty bottle to both Jaken and Miroku, then they climbed in the carriage and were headed for the castle. Inuyasha knew this was his cue to get down there to meet his bride to be. Custom called that his sister, being his only kin be there as well, but he was still leary about the potion and if it worked, he wasnt ready to put Kanna in any danger till he knew what was what. So taking a deep breath, going over his appearance he went down to the hall to greet his new bride. Man he was no looking forward to it, but if truth be known she wasnt ugly that was for sure, so it would not be a hardship to bed the wentch when the time came, he thought to himself as he made his way down to the main hall where all the servants were busy buzzing about for the arrival of thier lady.
~~~~~The carriage drove through the large castle gates and rode on for a bit before pulling up to a very large and elegant castle. Kagome couldnt help but awe at the site of it, it was far larger than her own family palace and grander than any place she had ever seen. Even from here she could see vast gardens and fountains adorning the grounds. They looked so inviting, Kagome wondered if her new husband and lord would allow her to walk about and explore all the new places and beautifull settings. But before she could have time to really comtemplate anything the carriage stopped and she was ushered out with haste.
"I am sorry Lady Kagome but we are late and I am sure our lord is eager to meet his new bride." came the apology of Miroku as he helped her rather hastily exit the carriage. The snort from Jaken did not go unnoticed and Kagome gave him a glare which he either ignored or did not see.
~~~~~Before she could even breath she was ushered into the castle by Miroku as Jaken snapped orderes in his squeaky voice telling others where her things were to be sent. Soon she was in one of the greatest halls she has ever seen. Most of the walls were murals of a huge white dog battling demons and humans and such, she wondered at these, but she wasnt given enough time to really look for already there were servant surrounding her pulling at her kimono and brushing the dust off of her and fixing up her hair which she assumed had gotten mussed somehow during the journey. As the servants buzzed around her she looked up the long winding stairs and her breath caught in her throught. Everyone stopped in mid motion, as if frozen. They all knew what she had or must of seen and wondered about her next action.
~~~~~Without conscience thought or a word she walked to the stairs and looked up in awe. She wasnt sure what she was seeing but it was the most beautifull thing she had ever seen. At least she had never seen anything like it and the colors were bright and amazing. Without realizing what she was saying she uttered in a wowed voice outloud.
"Your beautifull." she said in almost a whisper yet loud enough for everyone to hear. That is when the camotion started.
"What the fuck??? she can see me?? didnt she take the potion??? didnt it work?" came an angry voice from the beautifull thing she was still staring at. Miroku rushed to her side and the whispers of the servants sounded like a loud hum.
"Yes my lord she did indeed take the potion I swear it" came Miroku's voice before he turned to Kagome and spoke to her.
"What do you see Lady Kagome?" he asked,
"I see colors and lights...I see a shape..human in form but nothing but the colors." she replied automaticly as she was still awed by the beauty of the colors.
"What lights and colors Lady Kagome?? Will you explain please?" Miroku asked.
"On top of the stairs..I see a form...human like but yet not I cant tell...it is outlined in a beautifull bright red aura like form and towards the middle its starts to turn blue then bluish white...then silver...Ive never seen anything like it..its..its beautifull." she responded, and Miroku although relieved, was puzzled.
"She can not see you my lord." he told Inuyasha.
"Then what is all that jibberish about lights and colors??? I was told that all she would see was a form, like a gray shadow?" Inuyasga replied with some anger, he didnt like being confussed and he was a hell a confussed at the moment.
"I was told the same my Lord but it appears that our lady and your bride to be may have miko powers within her somewhere...for only that explains why she sees the aura and not the shadow." came Miroku's sage response. Inu growled. Oh great he thought, I have a Miko for a bride??? Miko's and demons did NOT get along well, especially when Miko's wanted to purify every demon they came across, not to mention they were purer than any other being created.
"Im no Miko nor are any of my ancestors or I would know of it." came Kagomes reply as her haze fuddled mind came back to the present and heard all that was said. Before anyone could reply to her comment a small childs voice was heard and Kagome was again transfixed by the beauty of the colors she saw.
"Omg she is even more beautifull than the other." she gasped and Inu grabbed Kanna and hid her behind him.
"What are you doing here Kanna?? I did not summon you." came Inu's angry growl, he was real protective if his younger sister and would kill and die for her. But Kanna was used to his protectiveness and smiled up at him.
"I came to see my new sister, brother...is that not the way of things when the lord takes a bride??? was I not supposed to be here??? Was I wrong?" replied Kanna and Inu melted. How could he be mad at her, even if he knew damn well she knew it was custom, but that he had not wanted her there just yet.
"Your colors...the outline is lavender then pink..towards the middle blue then bluish white then silver...truely beautifull." came Kagomes voice.
"As you can see my lord the potion does work, she can not see you or your kin but she appearantly can see your aura's." replied Miroku.
"Take her to her rooms." came Inu's reply as he grabbed Kanna and left the landing. For some reason when the colors and beings left Kagome felt bereft, alone and sad. She couldnt explain and didnt try. She did at least thank Kami that the man she was to marry was full of light and color instead of grey and darkness.
"This way Lady." stated Miroku as he lead her to her home away from home. Kagome was again sad. Would she ever see her true home? Would she be happy? Was that foul mouth who was her husband to be always that bad?? Sighing she followed Miroku and hoped things would look better.
A/N~Yes I know short short short but as it is Im pulling every creative juice from myself to even continue, I wont leave it hanging but I dont want to leave it without at least something to keep those who follow this without a small bite to tid them over...dont know whats happened to my muse, has anyone ever had thier muse gone for soooo darn long???? sigh...anyhow hope it was not to bad and hope it met with your standards even if it was short, will try again to come up with another chap soon, till then be well safe and good much huggles and smiles Mija...:-)
