Chapter 9~Dawn of a New Day
Kagome woke to a misty morning, the air was crisp and sweet. She looked up at Inuyasha, who was looking down at her with his amber eyes.
Inuyasha with a hint of a smile in the corner of his mouth- “How do you feel Kagome?”
Kagome still groggy-“ okay...” she lied. “I’d like to take a bath though.”
Inuyasha looking guilty replied-“I...I already did that for you.” (Waiting to be Sat ,squinting from the thought of her words of the direct order, and the unavoidable fallow threw. )
Kagome slowly climbed out from under the sprawled out sleeping bag. Trying to reduce the pain she slowly stood up somewhat straight with her hand over her stomach. Inuyasha jumped up and helped steady her. Kagome grabbed a hold of him to steady herself.
Kagome took a couple of steps away from him, looking at the ground, softly spoke in a lovingly voice- “I know Inuyasha....thank you. But I just feel....disgusting......I can still smell Naraku... on me.” (She shivered in thought)
Inuyasha -* I can’t smell him on you anymore. I made sure of that. * He looked at the ground sadly as if he could read her mind. Inuyasha gruffly spoke- “You can’t go alone...wait till we get to the village.”
Kagome turned to look at Inuyasha sadly- “I..I don’t know if I’m ready to go back to the village.” She looked away “ I don’t think I can stand to be near anyone rate now... let alone myself.”
Inuyasha took a couple of steps toward her, with a worried look-“Kagome ....something happened to you... and Kaede might be able to help. And your powers...we need to get you somewhere safe.”
Kagome looked back at Inuyasha.
Kagome -* He doesn’t want to be around me either....I can’t blame him.* “What about my powers?”
Inuyasha raised his voice that was laced with anger-“Kaede told me about your powers being uncontrollable after you diapered. Why didn’t you tell me before?”
Kagome-“I’m sorry Inuyasha. I wanted too but I didn’t want you to worry about me.”
Inuyasha- “ Kagome...I...I worry about you anyhow. But your powers...”
Kagome-“Could kill me Inuyasha. I didn’t want anyone to know because if we do face off with a demon and I loose my life because of my powers... But I will try to stay out of any danger if I can okay.”
Inuyasha nodded-“Okay.”-*I wont let you die. I swear it.*
Inuyasha grabbed everything and stuffed it into Kagomes back pack.
He walked up to Kagome as he dressed himself, she turned from him and said-“ Well, lets get going then.” and began to walk slowly.
He could smell her pain under the strong alluring smell-*Damn, she so stubborn.* he slung her bag over a shoulder.
Inuyasha caught up quickly and carefully picked her up-“You should rest Kagome.” Inuyasha was now looking at her in a very stern way.
She knew she had no say so in this argument.
Kagome looked at him with a full face of sadness- “Alright Inuyasha.”
Inuyasha looking proud of himself-“Keh”.
Inuyasha raced for Kaedes village.

Inuyasha stopped to rest-“ We’re almost there.” Accidentally awakening the sleeping young women in his arms.
Kagome looked up at Inuyasha- “You can put me down now Inuyasha.”
Inuyasha looked as if he forgot he was still holding her, but he liked holding her.
Inuyasha put her down gently- “Keh, you are stubbern.”
Kagome was holding on to Inuyasha kimono, her body was still very weak. Inuyasha knew she was still way too weak to do much of anything.
Inuyasha smelt a demon heading there way- “ Great, just what we need.”
Kagome looked at him in question-"What?" With a look of dread, and fear in her voice.
Inuyasha looked at her with a smile- "It's a weak demon don't worry Kagome.", *At least I hope it is.* “Stay back and don’t do anything got it.”
Kagome nodded.
