Chapter 17~The Aftermath
Kirara was helping Sango sit up.
Inuyasha picked up the little fox in his cradling arms as if Shippo were a new born baby. He walked to the hut and placed him on the floor carefully. Then he want to check on the others.
Sango had crawled over to Miroku and was holding her hand over his wound to stop the bleeding.
Inuyasha knelt down next to them-“Are you okay Sango?”
Sango- “Yeah, I’ll be fine. But Miroku is badly injured.”
Miroku still lying down on the ground-“I’m sorry Inuyasha, I thought I had him.”
Inuyasha grabbed Mirokus arm and swung it over his neck and lifted Miroku up into a standing position and walked him into the hut.
Sango followed to tend to Mirokus wound.
Inuyasha looked at Kagome as he sat the monk down.
Kagome was tending to Shippo though she was more injured than the little fox.
Inuyasha-“Kagome you need to rest you are too injured to be helping.”
Kagome with a guilty look-“How can I rest when this is all my fault.”
Kirara entered the hut with Kaede on her back.
Kaede got off and patted the demon cat-“Thank you Kirara.” she said weakly.
Kagome went over to the old woman who was now sitting on the floor with her back resting against the wall and her eyes closed.
Kagome looked at the arrow in Kaedes leg, she grabbed it gently and began to focus.
A soft purple glow started to surround Kagome.
Kaede with urgency -“Nay child. Ye shouldn’t in your condition.”
Inuyasha looked up while he was helping tend to Miroku-“KAGOME..NO”
Kagome looked over at the hanyou with spirit filled eyes. It was unlike anything Inuyasha had ever see in Kagome. He stared into the tremendous soul that made Kagome who she was. She was confident to the hilt and saddened by pain?-“I have too. I ‘m the only one who can.” she closed her eyes slowly.
Inuyasha screamed as he reached for her, his hand passed threw the purple light that shown from Kagomes softly pulsing body-“NO... K A G O M E”
The purple light grew more intense as it started surged with power.
Inuyashas hand laid on her shoulder. He could feel a gentle tingling sensation run threw his body. It felt kind and warm yet made his nipples hard and every hair stand up. It was unearthly.
Kagome squeezed the arrow tight... as soon as the arrow dissipated Kagome limply fell, Inuyasha catch her before she hit the floor-“Inu..yasha...”
Inuyasha softly whispered with concern- “Shh don’t talk.” as he looked at the miko who's eyes were still closed.
Kagome-“I...had too. Please don’t be mad.....I didn’t hurt you did I?” Her eyes fluttered open to see a human Inuyasha-“Inuyasha?” Her body could not hold to consciousness any longer and she blacked out in Inuyashas arms.
Everyone was staring at Inuyasha.
Inuyasha-“What? What the hell are you all looking at me like that for?”
Kaede-“Ye are human Inuyasha. Or had ye not noticed?”
Inuyasha looked at one of his hands. The long sharp nails that he was use to seeing during the day had turned in to normal human looking nails. He saw his hair that hung down his chest had also turned black.-“WHAT THE..”
Sango-“Kagomes powers purified you...”
Miroku-“Is it permanent?”
Kaede-“Nay.”
