RECAP:

Dio raised his eyes to Luciola's giving his friend a smile as if saying everything is all right now. It was then that he saw the relieved expression on Luciola's face making him realize that Luciola had been worried about him this whole time. He stood as did Luciola and Dio quickly walked the few steps between them and embraced Luciola once more whispering in his ear

 

“No need to worry Luciola, everything will work out in the end and we will live happily and grow old together forever staying friends.” Luciola hugged Dio tighter surprised at how much wisdom were in his words he then thought of how his friend had truly become a man in such a short time.

 

 

 

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: PREPERATIONS FOR DEPARTURE

 

Lavi happily ate the food that Dio had brought her as a tune played in her head, when she had finished off the last bite she laid back on the bed wondering how long it would be before Dio and Luciola returned thinking about taking a nice hot bath. She then changed her mind remembering what had happened the night before not wanting to repeat her mistake she then sat up on the side of the bed swinging her feet back and forth clicking her heals ever so often. She knew that she was board but didn't want to leave the room and bump into anyone she didn't want to see so she continued swinging her feet back and forth.

 

Lavi's feet came to a sudden stop as she felt the familiar feeling she had the day before but it wasn't morning anymore wasn't it supposed to be called morning sickness! But before she could think more on the subject she was diving for the bathroom a hand over her mouth. She almost didn't make it in time but just as she could feel it coming up she was over the toilet. Her body folded in half as it shook emptying it's self of everything she had just eaten.

 

And when it had finished she felt drained of all her energy the only thing that she wanted to do was lay on the cold tiled bathroom floor and rest. She didn't plan on sleeping there and told herself that she would just rest her eyes for a bit and then she would drag herself over to the bed and get some rest. She closed her eyes a small smile forming on her face, her body was so hot and achy and the floor was so very cold, before she knew it she was asleep so deeply that her mouth was hanging half open snores coming from inside.

 

A few minutes later the door to the room opened Dio stepping inside with Luciola in tow. He looked at the now empty tray and then slowly turned his head looking at the now wide open bathroom door. He stepped toward the doorway seeing a pair of bare feet poking out on the floor he gave a heavy sigh saying

“Oh my it seems to have happened again.” He didn't look back at Luciola when Luciola asked

“What has happened Lord Dio?”

 

Dio sighed again not answering his friend's question and he knelt near Lavi's sleeping form. He really didn't know why she always ended up sleeping on the floor when she was done it made it harder for him having to carry her back to the bed. He glanced up as Luciola bent down to see what was happening he gave his friend a small smile saying

“She seems to be getting sick a lot these past couple of days. She said something about the morning and how it made her sick but Luciola it isn't morning and she is still sick.”

 

Dio shook his head from side to side as he rolled her on to her back lifting her up against his chest an arm under her head and the other under her knees. He shook his head at Luciola's offered help and stood Lavi in his arms as he walked over to the bed. He looked down at the still bare mattress a frown on his face he turned to Luciola asking

“I seem to have forgotten that I said I would make the bed could you please do this small favor for me Luciola?” Luciola answered with a large smile on his face as he followed Dio's eyes to the pile of sheets. Dio stepped back as Luciola made the bed he was amazed at how fast he was and when he was done Dio said

“Wow so that's how you make a bed?”

 

Luciola gave a small laugh saying

“Yes Lord Dio that is how you make a bed.” Luciola was very surprised when he had heard Dio mutter that he had said that he would make the bed. He didn't even think that Dio knew how and after Doe's question he knew that he had been right. He stepped to the side watching as Dio lay Lavi down on the newly made bed with gentleness that Luciola hadn't seen him use since they were children.

 

Dio carefully laid Lavi down on to the bed spinning around as he searched for a blanket stopping when Luciola stretched out his arms that held the blanket Dio had been looking for. He took the blanket from Luciola giving him a smile of thanks as he placed it on top of Lavi's still sleeping form. And when Dio faced Luciola again he put a finger to his lips saying

“This will be our little secret okay Luciola?”

 

Luciola gave a nod thinking how much that had reminded him of when they were young. He motioned Dio back outside the room and said

“When shall I prepare for our departure Lord Dio?” Dio gave his friend a smile as he replied

“As soon as you can I am going to go have a talk with Alex about Alvis while Lavi is sleeping. I hope for us to leave tonight at the latest with or without Alvis.” Luciola nodded in agreement and gave Dio a smile before he left to gather what they would need.

 

Dio took a deep breath as he watched Luciola's retreating back and after it disappeared around the corner he headed in the opposite direction toward the bridge and Alex's office. He didn't know what he would say to Alex once he got there but knew it had to be done if they were to leave that night with Alvis along with them.

AUTHOR'S NOTES:

 

Yes I know that this chapter is the shortest yet but I am getting to the ending finally and I think that there will be three more chapters left but don't worry they will becoming soon. I have started two other stories one called spirited love and the other called blood month check either out if you like spirited away or hellsing. Well I have a lot of typing to do and thanks for having this stories hits reach over 1,000 I feel special I hope to post the next chapter or two tomorrow or Monday look forward to it! And here is the title for the next chapter CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: GOODBYE TO THE SYLVANA. OH and one more thing I based Lavi's sickness on my own experience and I know all to well that the bathroom floor can be really tempting after getting sick every time I ate. I got weak a started to loose weight but it went away at the end of my eighth month but I don't think I will make her suffer as long as I did I might stop it at three months or something review and let me know what you think should be the amount of time she gets sick.
