Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Loveless Suna ❯ Chapter 13 ( Chapter 13 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Well, this chapter is the most between Gaara and Shizuka.
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, nop I really don't.
“Konoha, you need to go to Konoha!” I said all of a sudden frightened when I looked back to Gaara.
“Temari and Kankuro are already on their way and I'll follow them after I have delivered him to Baki.” Gaara answered glaring at Shori, who returned one of his own, but he lacked in the terrifying part.
The redhead mad a couple of hand signals and brother and sister came closer while all four of us were getting surrounded by sand. A moment later I heard Baki's voice call stunned `Kagekage-sama', but there was a little relief detectable.
Curious I looked up from Gaara chest and discovered that we were standing right in front of the Kazekage tower. With a smooth movement the redhead gave Shori and Keiko to his consultant. He clearly didn't know if the woman had something to do with my kidnapping or not. Afterwards he dragged me in the tower to his room. Underway he ordered a maid to prepare his departure.
Once his bedroom door was closed behind him, he smashed his mouth on mine; helpless asking for access, which I gladly gave him. Before I knew it we were lying on his bed with his hand caressing the skin of my abdomen.
“Gaara.” I sighed happily when he attacked my neck. He left a couple of clear marks behind before he started to kiss my lips again and suddenly withdrew entirely. Stunned I watched him get up and look down on me.
“Konoha.” Was the only thing he said as explanation and I nodded understanding.
“I want to go with you.” I decided fast also getting up. A stern look gave his opinion. “Come on, I can be useful. I'm the only one who ever came in contact with a member of the Matshuo clan.” I tried persuading him, but his expression didn't change.
“Gaara…” I pouted gliding my arms around his neck, giving him a tempting kiss. Inviting arms embraced me, but when our lips separated, he said very short `no'. “Gaara!” I tried ordering him, but of course had no success. So I released his neck and walked away past the bed only to stop in front of the window, examining the busy streets under us.
The redhead sighed behind me and I heard his footsteps closing in. His arms embraced me again, but now from behind and he pulled my back into his chest.
“I don't want to lose you again.” He whispered in my ear and I felt my heart miss a beat. Why could he say everything so seductive?
“That's why I have to go.” I mumbled and turned in his arms. “I couldn't endure it if something would happen to you and I'm not there.” I confessed staring into his hypnotic oceans. He gave me a small smile and kissed me reassuringly.
“Nothing's going to happen to me.”
“So you're just going to leave me behind with Shori near?” I asked hoping to rile him up and as expected I felt his arms tighten around me.
“Do you feel something for him?” He asked bitter and I could feel the jealousy radiating from his eyes.
“Would I be here if I did?” I asked sarcastic and felt the arms slacken.
“You did spend a month with him as his bride.” He complained childish what I decided was adorable.
“If I loved him, I would be going through the rehearsal of my wedding now and definitely not have searched a month long for a way to contact you.” I put him at rest with a small smile that quickly changed in a pout. “Can I go now?” Gaara rolled his eyes, but I noticed a small smile of his own tug on his lips.
I kissed him once more as bribery and eventually heard a muffed `yes' come out of his mouth before it claimed mine again. His hands slid automatically under my clothing and I felt explosions under my skin with each contact. My own hands slipped in those red locks where I had longed for.
He twisted us smoothly around so that my back was now aimed at the bed and I waited patiently for the push that we land me on my destination, ready to take it to the next step, but knocking obtained us from our own world.
Glaring Gaara separated from me and walked to the door and pulled these annoyed open. Behind the door a saw a very scared maid and recognized her as the one that the Kazekage ordered to prepare his trip. The redhead also seemed to realize this because his face softened, but he still wasn't happy with the intrusion.
“Everything's ready, Kazekage-sama.” The maid said quietly trying to mask her fear.
“Good, Shizuka's coming with me.” He made her clear and she nodded understanding that they needed to prepare food for one more person. She quickly bowed and left us alone again.
“Go pack!” Gaara ordered me before walking after de maid. I watched him walk away and tried to situate myself.
`Actually this is the first time I've been in Gaara's room… and it would help if I knew where this was located.' I thought scratching my head almost hoping that that would summon an idea. Eventually I sighed and decided to walk back to the entrance and then to retreat to my room.
`I know it's a big detour, but else I would completely lose my way and that wouldn't help Konoha one bit.' I supported myself.
-
After ten minutes Gaara came rushing in my room, which I had finally reached, saying that we urgently had to leave. I gave him an excusing look and packed as last my pajamas.
“Hmm, if it would depend on me, you wouldn't need those.” The Kazekage mumbled husky in my ear. I felt the hairs on my neck stiffen and wondered how he could move so silently. Blushing I closed my backpack and turned around to see my seducer with closed eyes leaning against my door.
“I'm ready!” I called rushing towards him. He slowly opened his eyes, which slid from my face to the backpack in my hand. Then he straighted himself and opened the door.
-
Without saying anything, but in a comfortable silence we walked outside. There was the same maid as before waiting on us with two small bags in her hands, while Gaara's gourd and his backpack, which reminded me of Neji's, stood ready to go beside her.
Gaara took over the two bags, gave one to me and put the other in his own backpack. The gourd went on his back and the backpack was hung on his clothes. I had to admit that it surprised me that it didn't fall. Once entirely ready, he looked oddly at me and I realized I've been gaping at him like an idiot with a small bag in my hand.
Turning tomato state I quickly put the bag in my backpack. Once it was on my back I gave Gaara a smile that told him that I was ready. He nodded, walked toward me and grabbed me by the waist. While I was pushed against him his sand already started flying around us and we were on our way to save Konoha.
-
“Will we get there on time?” I asked after a quarter of an hour. My head was resting against Gaara's chest while my hands were clenching his clothes.
“Yes, we still have two and a half day before the attack and I can reach Konoha in two.” My pillar answered rubbing soothing circles on my back.
“But what if they discover what has happened?” Now I looked questionable up in the blue-green, waiting eyes that know I wasn't done yet. “Wouldn't they attack sooner?” The blue-green eyes closed and opened in a second as if the Kazekage needed time to think about his answer.
“Then Temari and Kankuro will stop them.” He said without doubt and I couldn't help but smile. It was nice to hear that he had faith in his siblings. “But you will not come near the fight!” He said sternly, which made my smile disappear, but then I saw the concern in his eyes.
“Of course, I'll help the wounded.” I answered retrieving my smile. “Where there many last time?” My smile made place for concern.
“A couple of ninja's didn't survive.” Gaara looked straighted a head, avoiding my eyes.
“Ohw…and those patient's at the hospital? Souta, is he alright?” I remembered the little boy and decided that he must almost have gotten a heart attack seeing Shori and that black haired woman overpowering me.
“Souta!” The redhead quickly looked back at me with narrowed eyes.
`Is he jealous again? Doesn't he trust me at all?' I thought oppressing the urge to roll my eyes.
“A little boy I met in the hospital. He's an orphan that I promised to protect. And now he must think that I'm…” I couldn't get the rest out of my mouth, but Gaara understood me.
“He's alright.” He said to my surprise.
“Everyone who was at the moment of the attack in the hospital, made it.”
“Oh…” `He doesn't know Souta, for a minute I thought he did. Wait… if he did know him he wouldn't have gotten jealous.' “Great, then I certainly must go and see him once were in Konoha.” I said relieved. The rest of trip we made small talk or I slept safely in Gaara's arms.
-
“Have we arrived?” I asked stretching my arms.
“Almost.” A voice answered from a small distance. With sleepy eyes I took in my surroundings and discovered that we were still in the forest around Konoha. A cold wind made me crawl back in my sleeping-bag.
`Wait, my sleeping-bag?' Stunned I examined my bed and decided that this definitely wasn't my bag. It had an even sand coloring, perfect for camouflage in the desert and smoke suspiciously like a certain Kazekage I knew. In contrast to Gaara I had a normal, blue sleeping-bag, which had been the cheapest in the shop.
“Wouldn't it be best if you also get some sleep?” I asked breaking the silence. Gaara gave me a strange look. He knew that I knew very well of his insomnia. “If you're going to war tomorrow, wouldn't it be best to have your full attention on the fight?” I could hear the concern in my voice and he clearly also. Gaara sighed and stood up to walk to me. Next to me he kneeled and caressed the hair locks on my forehead.
“I'm not tired and there has to be someone on the look out.” He said with a sweet voice.
“Then I'll do that!” I offered sitting up still completely in the sleeping-bag. Again I got a strange look as answer. “Okay, stupid suggestion.” I mumbled. Gaara smirked and drew me in his lap.
“Once my chakra has restored, I'll teleported us to the Hokage's office.” He said opening his sleeping-bag to get a better look at me.
“The Hokage's office? Isn't that impolite?” I saw him smirk again at my question. `Alright, perhaps he isn't the most polite person.' I thought seeing that smirk.
“She's expecting us… me.” Gaara corrected himself.
“Oh…”
“It's to make sure that the Matshuo clan doesn't see us entering Konoha. That's also why Temari and Kankuro have disguised themselves as traders.” He continued and I nodded understanding.
“Oh… hmm, then I hope we don't run in to them, the Matshuo clan I mean, on our way.” I said resting my head on his shoulder.
“Don't worry, I'm keeping an eye on our surroundings and my chakra-level low.” I felt him press a kiss on my hair as reassuring and my body relaxed itself entirely against him. I felt safe, warm and loved. It didn't take long before sleep once more had his hold on me.
-
“… to see her again.” I heard someone say, but my eye lids were still too heavy to discover who had said that.
“Do you want me to examine her?” The voice offered and I became conscious of the arms under my knees and shoulders. `Someone's holding me!' Then I felt a warmth going over me that stay longer on my abdomen then any other place of my body.
“No signs of intercourse. He didn't force himself on her.” I felt my carrier release an oppressed breath. Slowly I opened my eyes and looked in the relieved ones of Gaara.
“Good morning.” He whispered gently.
“Hello, Shizuka-chan.” I heard that other voice and examined at last the owner or better the ownster.
“T… Hokage-sama.” I mumbled sleepy while my brain was progressing what had just happened. I crossed my arms and looked back to my carrier.
“You could simply have asked if he had done something.” I barked at him and I got an excusing look back.
“Don't be mad at him. It was my idea.” Tsunade defended her colleague, but my face told her that I wasn't angry at all. Then someone interrupted us by knocking on the door, which the Hokage answered with a very loud `What?!'.
“Those two… traders are here, Tsunade-sama!” Shizune called from the other side of the door.
“Send them in!” The door opened and I watched a man and a woman slip in. I knew that they where Temari and Kankuro, but you wouldn't recognizing them if you didn't know. For once Kankuro wasn't painted, but did have a fake mustache glued on. He had straight, black hair till his shoulders; I guessed it was a wig and wide, brown trader's clothes. Temari had just like Kankuro straight, black hair till her shoulders that partly hid her face. Her clothes were those of a prosperous trader's woman with a lot of colors.
Once the door closed, Kankuro all of a sudden flew towards his brother and me. He took me out of Gaara's arms en cuddled me until I just knew I had some new bruises.
“I'm so glad you're alright!” He gasped exaggerated until Temari beat him on the head.
“Always exaggerating.” She sighed and also gave me a quick hug. “But I'm also glad you're alright.” She continued while releasing me. I smiled at her while Gaara's arms slid back around me waist.
“Possessive, aren't we…” I heard Temari mumble, but her younger brother was clearly ignoring her and had returned his full attention to the Hokage.
“Do you have already spotted the Matshuo clan?” Tsunade nodded and signed to Shizune, who quickly obtained a map from a cupboard. She spread these out over the papers on Tsunade's desk and stepped back to give her master space.
“According to my scouts they're here.” Tsunade indicated to a piece of forest that wasn't that far from Konoha. “In about one hour they're going to be here.”
