Chapter 2: A little brother? And WHO'S ON MY TEAM!

"Oh really? Well then, I'll just have to make you tell me where she is!" She saw the shadow of her mother being thrown across the room and then she heard her mother's scream. The girl, who is a younger version of Rayne, whimpered more but stopped once the footsteps entered her room.

"Oh Rayne... where are you?" The voice of the man said playfully. She tried to make herself disappear with the darkness but it didn't work. She saw his hands extending toward her and yanked her out of the darkness. She yelped and stepped on his foot hard. He let go while cursing and she ran outside. Out there, she saw her whole clan... killed.

"Okaa-san?" She said looking at the dead face of her mother. Rayne then turn around but came face to face with another body.

"Otou-san?" She said in shock. Her dad was the strongest in her clan... if this... guy can beat him then she has no chance against him. Rayne ran in the streets trying to look for anyone alive, but all she ran into was the guy from before.

"Well, well, Rayne... now's it's time..." Rayne looked up at him, afraid and covered her eyes and-

BAM!!

Rayne opened her eyes to see that she fell off the bed. Her hair was a mess and she was sweating. "I was like… 6 or 7 at the time..." She then glance at the clock, only too see that it was only about 4:20. She groan, knowing that she won't be able to go back to sleep, got up and got ready. Once out, it was only 4:45 and she decided that this time, she'll eat breakfast. Rayne grabbed her ninja gear and went outside, going toward the Ichiraku Ramen place. Along the way, she pasted by a room that had the lights on.

"Who would be up this early...?" She asked herself. She then heard an "Oww...." and immediately recognizes it as Naruto's voice. Rayne blinked once, twice then noticed that he lived about a block away from her. Sighing she decided to ask Naruto if he wanted to eat with her. She went knocking on his window with the lights and waited for him to open up.

Naruto's POV

When I heard someone knocking on my window I stopped my training to go see. I brought a kunai with me just in case, I mean come on, there could be dangerous ninjas out there. So, I was surprised when I saw Ray-onee-chan there. I grinned and asked,

"What are you doing up so early, Ray-onee-chan?" she looked at me with a blank stare.

"Why are you up so early, Naruto?" She asked me back. My grin got even wider (if possible)

"I'm training!"

Rayne's POV

When I heard that Naruto was up just to train I gave him a little small smile but it was gone in a flash.

"Um... well... uh... do you... do you wanna go eat raman with me?" I asked looking off to the side.

"Is anything wrong, Ray-nee-chan?" Naruto asked me. I shook my head.

"I've never asked a friend to join me in anything before... and this is not a date. Just a..." I trailed off, hoping he would know what I mean. I guess he did because he jumped for joy and ran to what I'm guessing is his room. I stepped inside to what looks like a living room and sat down on the couch. I saw clothes flying in all directions and had an anime sweatdrop. In a moment, however, he came back and we left. When we reached the shop, Naruto ordered two Ramen bowl and I ordered one.

"What kind would you like?" The girl asked. I glanced up from my hand and replied,

"Miso" and she left. It then started raining.

"Aww man... it's raining now..." Naruto mumbled.

"What? Don't like the rain, Naru-kun?" Rayne asked in a teasing way, attracting the attention of the old man, the girl and a couple, all who knew of Rayne Raito's reputation of being almost a female Sasuke Uchiha. Naruto huff and crossed his arms.

"No way! I have to get use to these weathers so I can become the Hokage!" Rayne chuckled, again earning stares from the people around them. Never had they seen Rayne show so much emotions.

"You're just like Mitsu." Naruto heard Rayne mumbled to himself.

"Who's Mitsu?" Naruto asked, Rayne froze in mid movement while the two couple left, not wanting to be in Rayne's range of fire and the old man and his daughter (is she his daughter?) moved aside.

"Mitsu..." Rayne put her chopsticks down and her bangs moved to cover her eyes, where Naruto saw held sorrow. "He's my little brother." Naruto was confused, why was she so sad?

"Did he... die?" Naruto dared to ask. Rayne sharply looked at him and he flinched and the sudden movement.

"No... but he doesn't know that he has a sister." She said. After a moment of silence,

"Oi people, talk" she demanded. "I hate having silence after a depressing mood."

"But Ray-nee-chan, I thought you like silence." Naruto asked

"I do, but not a silence of sadness." Rayne replied. "Anyway, we gotta hurry, it's almost time for the academy to start. Are you ready for the out squads?"

"Yeah! Believe it!" Naruto said putting his fist in the air. Rayne sigh and finished her ramen, paid the old man and they both left. Rayne entered the classroom first, followed by Naruto. Rayne tried to go to her seat but all of Sasuke's fangirls were in the way. Naruto sat with his head on the desk smiling when Shikamaru walked by and asked why he was here, since the meeting was only for those who graduated. Naruto points to his forehead protector and said,

"See, see, see here Shikamaru, it's right here. I'm also a ninja starting today!" Naruto boast. Rayne sigh, knowing she won't be able to get to her seat for a while and went to a young girl with dark hair and white eyes looks at Naruto with a smile on her face. She is wearing a large jacket and her forehead protector around her neck. She is glad that Naruto was able to graduate. Rayne went to her and nodded.

"Hinata" She greeted. The girl fumbled with her fingers and shyly replied,

"H-hello Rayne..." For a few moments Rayne stood up, but then she got tired of standing so she went and attempted to get to her seat, where she is unsuccessful.

"Oi, all you idiotic girls MOVE already. I'm trying to get to my seat." None of them moved. Rayne's eyebrow twitch and she focused chakra to her hands, which became a sword like image. She then swung it to the ground where all the girls are crowding her seat and blew them all away. The whole classroom watched in awe as she walked toward her seat calmly as if nothing happened.

"What was that, Raito?" Sasuke asked her when she sat. Rayne smirked at him and asked,

"What was what Uchiha?" She asked back. Sasuke growled.

"You know what I mean, what did you do to your chakra to do that?"

"Like I tell you." Rayne said leaning back on her chair, pulling her headband from her forehead over her eyes. Sasuke turned back to look at the board... and to get clomped by his fangirls again. Just then, the door opened to see a pink hair girl with green eyes and a blonde hair girl with pale blue eyes entered the room, both panting.

"I made it first." The blonde, known as Ino said panting.

"You kidding? my foot was at least half a centimeter ahead of yours." The pink hair, known as Sakura said back. She then saw Sasuke and squeal his name, making Rayne's ear hurt a little.

Unknown to them all, Sasuke is being watched through a crystal ball, as someone asks the Third Hokage, if that is this year's number one rookie, Uchiha Sasuke. A group of ninja are surrounding the Hokage and looking into the crystal ball. The Third confirms that the boy they are watching is indeed Uchiha Sasuke. A female ninja with dark hair and a red vest, says that Sasuke is a survivor of the Uchiha Clan. A white-haired ninja, whose entire face is covered by a mask and the forehead protector except for his right eye, watches on.

The crystal ball shows the girls arguing with Naruto still sitting on the floor. The white haired, one shown eye ninja notices that the boy on the ground is Uzimaki Naruto.

The ball also shows Rayne sitting in her seat with her headband over her eyes. The female ninja asked if that was Raito Rayne, the number one female rookie of the year. The third confirms that too and also says that she is the survivor of the Raito clan besides Mistu Takana, who doesn't know that he is from the Raito clan nor have a sister.

The scene then changes back to the classroom when Rayne heard a 'thump' and a whole bunch of 'Naruto!' so she decided to pull up her headband. What she saw made her jaw drop. Naruto and Sasuke kissing. She couldn't help it, she burst out laughing, which earns her stares from people like Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata and others. When Sasuke and Naruto broke apart, they were going to kill eachother. I leaned in closer to Sasuke,

"Oi Uchiha, I never knew you were GAY! And with Naruto do doubt, geesh, if you were gay I thought you would've gone with someone else." I said while smirking. Sasuke glared at me.

"I'm not.. gay" He said like it was poison. I snickered.

"Sure... then why'd it take so long for you to say that you're not, huh?" Sasuke was about to reply but Iruka sensei already came in and everyone went back to his or her seats. In the classroom, Iruka-sensei says that as of today they are all official ninjas and blah blah blah... at least that's what Rayne heard... Iruka-sensei then started to tell them their teams.

"Cha! I'm going to be in a team with Sasuke!" Inner Sakura thought to herself.

"I want Sakura on my team! And Ray-onee-chan too! Just NOT that jerk Sasuke..." Naruto thought.

"Three man-cell? and one four man cell? They'll all just get in my way." Sasuke thought bitterly.

"What? Three and one four man cell? I don't want to be with any of Sasuke Uchiha's fangirls... or him for the matter." Rayne thought.

Rayne's POV

"Alright, here are the teams..." Iruka-sensei started but I didn't hear her name...yet.

"Squad 7. Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura-" At this Naruto stood up and waved his hands in the air in happiness while Sakura groans while Iruka-sensei continued, "Uchiha Sasuke-" This time, the two reversed, Naruto groan while Sakura cried in happiness. "And since this is the four man cell, Raito Rayne." I blinked in surprised then went back to my calm face. Naruto cried out in happiness again and gave me a peace sign which I just waved back at him, Sakura was glaring daggers at me because I think she thinks I'm going to 'steal' Sasuke from her. Pff... like I would.

"Sakura, I'm not going to 'steal' Sasuke from you, I have my mission to do and I cannot afford a distraction." I said to her and she nodded at me and turned around.

"Naruto's a dope but he'll be strong, I can sense it. Sakura... she's going to be a problem... and as for Sasuke, he's a jerk. Simple as that." Rayne said thinking about all her teammates and not noticing Sasuke looking at her then looked back. She was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard Naruto yelled,

"Iruka-sensei! Why do I, a great ninja have to be teamed up with a loser like him?!"

"NARUTO!" Sakura shouted.

"Hn. Try and keep up, dunce." Sasuke said, making the whole classroom laugh but me.

"The only dunce I see here is a raven cockatoo boy right in front of me, or should I say, a crossdressing idiotic female?" I said smirking. Sasuke turned around and glared at me.

"We went through this before Raito." he said hissing. "I'm NOT a crossdresser, or a cockatoo and you're the idiot!"

"What ARE you, a snake? You always hiss whenever you talk, cockatoo boy. You're hair makes you look like one, Uchiha." I said right back. We then had a glaring contest where Naruto was saying 'Yeah! Go Rayne!' in the background and all the fangirls mumbling 'why is he talking to her?'

"Alright, alright, that's enough. Now I suggest all of you eat lunch with your teammates and meet back here after lunch to meet your Jounin. You're dismiss." Iruka-sensei said and everyone started to leave, including Sasuke and I.

"Pff.. like I'm going to eat with the pink hair obsessive wanna be kunoichi Sasuke fan... better known as, Pinky. I can't find Naruto and I'm NOT going to eat with that... that raven cockatoo idiotic jerk." Rayne thought going outside just to see Naruto ambushing Sasuke and coming out transformed as Sasuke.

"What?" Rayne asked as she went to see the real Sasuke.
