This is my frist go at an anime fic so don't expect it to be good but I hope you enjoy it none the less, please read and review thank you.

****** Nerv Briefing Room ******

Gendo Ikari was sitting at the head of the polished oak table where the rest of the Nerv command staff where seated, his face was as unreadable as ever.

" The first order of business is that there will be two new Eva pilots that will be arriving with an experimental Eva unit within six hours from now when they arrive I want them put though the standard harmonics tests and sych-tests." he said in a monotone voice, secretly he was very pleased with the way things had transpired at his meeting with the UN staff where had used his charm, threatening manor and a liberal dose of vague and nasty hints at what would happened if they had failed to stop the angels.

" There bio's are in the folders in front of you I want you to study them carefully." He added as he looked each of them over and when he came to Misato he saw the cold look in her eyes and he smiled to himself.

" What can you tell us about this new Eva unit? " Dr.Akagi asked as she started to reading over the pilot's dossiers, " The new unit is an experimental model that is armed with meson laser and a 210mm auto-cannon with variable select fire mode as well as two progressive knives." was Gendo's answer and Dr.Akagi wrote something down on a pad of paper that was beside her.

" Where are the two pilots from? " Dr.Ibuki asked as she chewed on the end of her pen as she often did when she was nervous, to put a finer point on that fact, the commander scared her, badly.

" Both pilots are from Granite City Canada."

" I never knew Canada was capable of producing an Eva unit. " Dr.Shigeru Aoba said as he made a few notes of his own.

" Before second impact Granite City was nothing more then an advanced bio-tech laboratory set in the Canadian rocky mountains when the dust settled from second impact the survivors in Canada moved into the laboratory but in order to house that many people they had to expand and after a lot of construction Granite City was born." Gendo had a vague feeling similar to what a history teacher would have felt when teaching there first class as he spoke, " When the U.N. met for the first time on the matter of the angels and founded Nerv it was decided that any surviving country that had access to biotechnology would produce an eva unit for our use and left the matter of procuring and training of there pilots to us."

From there on he listened as they made there reports to him as to what had happened while he had been away and once they where done he called an end to the meeting.

" Captain Katsuragi a moment of your time is required. " Gendo called out as the staff was leaving the briefing room and from the tone of his voice this was not a request but a demand.

Slowly Misato looked at the commander and she could detect nothing that would give her any insight to his frame of mind but she had more then a sneaking suspicion as to the reason she had been singled out and she was more then happy to stay behind for she had quite a few things of her own to tell the commander.

" I have received a few reports about you inexcusable behavior while I was gone and I'm telling you that it ends here and now or you will be *drummed out * of Nerv." Gendo said to Misato as he looked into her eyes, his voice much colder then it had been juring the meeting.

* You son of a bitch! * Misato thought to herself as she listened to the commander and she did not miss the special emphasis on the words drummed out which meant a death sentence for her.

" Now you listen here you low down scum bag!, your son has been badly injured and I took what steps I thought necessary to get to the bottom of the matter and how the hell could you let those loony brain butchers turn your son into a vegetable! " Misato as she looked right back at Gendo so he could she the rage in her eyes as she fought down the urge to strangle him.

" Shinji is an eva pilot first and foremost CAPTAIN I took what steps I deemed necessary at the time to insure his quick recovery so that he could resume his duties and I will not have you countermanding any more of my orders in such matters is that understood? " Gendo fired back, putting a threatening venom in his voice as he allowed his right eye brow to rise a fraction of a millimeter to send a clear message to Misato that she was skating on some very thin ice.

Misato felt the urge to pull out her gun and shoot the commander and her hand slowly moved a fraction of an inch to her holster but stopped as she remembered that she had left it in her locker when she arrived at Nerv for this meeting as she was unsure as to how she would react to seeing the commander and cursed herself for it as the commander had seen the movement of her right hand and could feel the hardening of the commander's face then see it as he had his hands folded over his lower face as usual.

For a moment there was nothing but the sound of the meeting room's air conditioner as they exchanged hateful stares.

" As of now the pilots will be given a three thousand yen allowance every three weeks and you will be paid the same sum of money on top of your usual wage, be sure to spend it wisely." Gendo said as his right eye brow raised once more as if in amusement even though his voice maintained the same cold tone there was an undertone of sarcasm that tripped more then a few alarms in Misato's mind as he continued to speak.

" Further more you will be moved into a large house for all the pilots will be under your care-" Gendo smiled to himself as he saw Misato's face faultier and the look in her eyes that seemed to say * YOU ASSHOLE! *

"-It would be in your best interest to see that they are well taken care of, if I hear of you so much as threaten a hair on there heads, it'll be your neck in the noose. "

" One last thing captain, there will be a full eva recovery team at the airport to secure the experimental eva unit when it arrives by air transport, you will be there to meet the new pilots and to bring them here for processing as well as the tests, dismissed. " Gendo added before he slowly turned in his chair so that his back was facing Misato who's face was turning an interesting share of red as she fought down the urge to scream, " Yes sir! " Misato said as she turned to leave the briefing room and muttered under breath " You fucking asshole, bitch bastard, whore. " and just about wet herself when she heard a deep dry chuckle from the commander and she increased the speed of her pace, unsure if the commander had overheard her less then kind comments and as she made her way down to the Nerv motor pool the P.A. clicked on and she heard the commander say, " Dr.Akagi please report to the meeting room for a personal briefing." and shuddered.

****** Tokyo-3 Airport ******

Misato watched as the huge air transport plane came to a halt and the boarding ramp was wheeled over to the passenger door as the back loading ramp slowly opened.

Misato watched as a young boy fallowed by a young girl walked down the boarding ramp and made her way towards them.

" Make sure that all my luggage brought to me as soon as you can. " Misato heard the young girl say to a harried looking porter, the boy was watching as a huge, flatbed transport truck was backing up to the lowered cargo ramp where a huge tarp cover pallet was being off loaded from.

" Hello I am Captain Misato Katsuragi. " Misato said to the two children as she looked them over, boy was dressed in a pair of black jeans and a white t-shirt and was wearing a long black trench coat and there was an army style backpack on his back, the girl was dressed in a very expensive looking green dress that looked to be made of silk, a green sun hat and a white parasol resting on one of her shoulders.

For a moment the girl and the boy looked at her then they introduced themselves.

" I'm Gwen Masters and I am pleased to meet you Captain. " the girl said as she bowed slightly and Misato returned the bow, Misato could sense a dignified air about the girl as if she had been raised in high society.

" I'm Drake Frost. " The boy said as he nodded his head slightly towards Misato who could tell that the boy had come from a poorer background then his fellow eva pilot.

" If you two will come with me I'll take you to Nerv headquarters where you will be processed and tested." Misato said to the two children and watched them carefully in order to get a clearer picture as to there mind set.

" But what about my luggage, I must have my outfits after all it would be unseemly to be dressed as lowly as I am." Gwen said and Misato was surprised by how cultured and regal Gwen was.

" Don't worry you belongings will be transported to Nerv once they are unloaded. " Misato told Gwen who looked very displeased by that, she then asked Drake if he had any luggage on the plane.

" No I have all my gear here with me." Drake said as jiggled the backpack, " What do you mean by processed and tested? " he added as he gave Misato a very weary look.

" That means just filling out some paper work and few medical test to ensure that you are in good health. " Misato said to Drake and took notice of the very deeply mistrustful look on his face.

" Fine let's get this shit over with. " Drake said in tired voice as he rubbed his right temple for air travel did not agree with him.

" Must you use such crude language there are ladies present you uncultured lout. " Gwen snaped as she gave Drake a withering gaze.

" Can it princess! I'm tired, I'm hungry and I have had it with your high flute'n attitude." Drake snarled as he gave Gwen deadly stare.

* Gendo you are a dead man for this! * Misato thought to herself as she did her best to calm down the arguing children.

Once Misato calmed Drake and Gwen down she lead them to her car, " Must I ride in such a common conveyance, it is so undignified for lady of my breeding. " Gwen said as she took a good look at Misato's car, Drake ask if he could drive as a joke, unfortunately for the two of them Misato was now in a very foul mood, due to stress and a lack of much needed beer.

" Both of you can it right now!, Gwen Nerv is not a jet set for rich and spoiled I'm not your chauffeur and Drake no one drives the car but me is this understood!" Misato raged at the two of them.

" Oh very well, if I must I must. " Gwen said in a huffy tone of voice as Drake gave Misato a * Fine, fuck you to * look, " I was just joking, who hell pissed in your coffee! " Drake snaped and Misato told him to shut the hell up as she opened the trunk and wished nothing more then to stuff the two of them in it and told Drake to put his backpack in it.

Once they where in the car Misato put the pedal to the metal and sped towards Nerv as both Drake and Gwen let out a startled yelp.

Once they got to the Nerv parking lot Misato drove the car in the elevator and smiled to herself for she could see the wary looks in Gwen and Drake's faces and knew what going to happen next would be a real mind blower for the two children when the elevator begain to make it's decent.

Drake was sitting in the front passenger's seat and was looking out the window as they continued downwards and after a few minutes he looked over at Misato who had a smile on her face that puzzled him, " So how long is this going to take? " he asked as he found himself growing impatient with the slow decent of the car.

" Not long now." Misato said to Drake and begain to giggle slightly that caused both Gwen and Drake to give her an even wearier look but before either of them could say a word the lights in the elevator tunnel grew brighter and momentarily blinded the two children, once they could see there jaws hit the floor of the car as they beheld the sight before them.

" Welcome to Geo Front. " Misato said as she took a moment to enjoy the stunned looks on Drake and Gwen's faces, " UNBELIEVABLE! " Gwen said in an awed voice as she looked out the window of the back left door, " Geo Front was built so that if another second impact happened there would be a safe haven for the people of Japan. " Misato said as she giggled once more as she watched Drake who had his face pressed up against the front passenger window to take in the sights as they continued to descend towards the bottom of Geo Front and Terminal Dogma where Nerv was head quartered.

Gwen saw the way Drake was pressed up against the window and felt a surge of anger at the sight of him gawking out of the window, even though she was impressed with the sight of Geo Front she was not reduced to acting like a brain dead yokel by the immensity of the sights before her.

" Drake you make me sick, look at you sit there and acting like a hick seeing a city for the first time! " Gwen said acidly, this snaped Drake out his awed state and he turned to face her with a hateful look on his face,

" Fuck you, who the hell do you think you are anyways to be giving me grief, I men this is not something you see everyday you know so why don't you shut up and get the hell off my back! "

Misato shock her head as the two children begain to bicker quite loudly in the car, leaving Misato fighting down the urge to pitch both of them out of the car even though they where a hundred meters or so in the air, the trip from the surface of Tokyo-3 to the ground of Geo Front took only ten minutes but it would seem like an eternity this time around as Drake and Gwen really got hot and heavy with there insults and put downs.

Dr.Akagi looked at the two children as they where brought to the medical section of Nerv and she was about ask Misato a question but when she saw the helpless and fuming look on the captain's face she decided to forget the question, " Thank you for bring them here, why don't you get a coffee and something to snack on, we're going to be here for awhile. " Ritsuko said to Misato who looked at her and mouthed the words " Thank you. " from behind the two children and left them, thankful to get away from the two hellions who just about drove her over the edge.

" I am Doctor Ritsuko Akagi and I will be asking you a few questions as well as administering a few test to determine how well you will do as eva pilots. " Ritsuko said to Gwen and Drake who where giving her a guarded look for they had no idea what was in store for them as she picked up one of there dossiers and briefly skimmed thought it.

" Gwen we'll start with you ok? " Ritsuko said to Gwen who was looking quite bored but before Gwen could say anything Drake butted in, " Hey Doc I don't mean to be rude but is there any chance I might be able to get a cup of coffee and some grub from you, it's been a long flight and I 'ant feeling to perky."

Ritsuko looked over to Drake but before she could say anything Gwen spoke very harshly to him.

" Why don't you keep quiet, it is very rude to interrupt someone when they are speaking to someone else, you heathen. "

" Hey fuck you to princess, how the hell am I supposed to do these tests if I'm feeling like a week old dead cat, besides you look like you could use some meat on your bones ya fucking toothpick! " Drake fired back as he leaned against a wall with his arms crossed over his chest and a nasty scowl on his face.

Ritsuko watched the interaction between Drake and Gwen and carefully noting everything they did for her assessment report to Gendo.

After five minutes or so Ritsuko stepped in broke up the argument, " Gwen, Drake that will be enough, I'll have some food brought up, in the mean time Gwen if you will come with me, we will begain the tests."

After stopping at the nurse's station and ordering some food and coffee to be sent up to the waiting room, Ritsuko led Gwen into an examination room.

" Alright Gwen sit up on the bed and undo your dress so I can listen to your heartbeat. " Ritsuko said as she pulled the stethoscope into her ears and watched as Gwen undid her dress and pull it down over her shoulders.

" Ok Gwen breath in and out." Ritsuko said as she held the stethoscope just under Gwen's left breast and smiled to herself as she got a good look at Gwen's budding breasts and listened her Gwen's beating heart and made a mental note to get a hold of Maya as soon as she was done with Drake and Gwen.

" Very good, now I'm going to test your reflexes. " Ritsuko told Gwen as she took a rubber mallet and gently tapped the spot just behind Gwen's right elbow and watched as her armed jerked in response to the tap, then did her left arm, " So far so good, now I need you to pull up your dress so I can test your legs. " Ritsuko added with a slight smile that gave Gwen the willies and caused her coco brown eyes to widen slightly.

" There's no need to be embarrassed Gwen, it part of my job to make sure that you are in perfect physical health." Ritsuko told Gwen as she laid a reassuring hand on her shoulder and Gwen gulped a bit and slowly raised the hem of her dress so that her knees where showing and Ritsuko knelt down and stole a quick peek at Gwen's white lace panties, * Damn it woman get a hold of yourself! * Ritsuko thought to herself as she tapped Gwen's right knee and watched as her leg jerked then quickly did the left one.

" All seems well there. " Ritsuko said as she stood up as she fought to put a damper of her slowly raging hormones and she vowed to herself that she was going to really do a number on Maya.

" Now I'm going to take a few blood samples, this will sting a little." Ritsuko added as she told Gwen to stick out her left arm then tied a length of rubber, surgical hose around her bicep and gave the main vein in the crook of her elbow a few slight taps to make it rise.

Once that was done Ritsuko jabbed the bulging vein with the needle as Gwen winced and quickly placed a vacuum filled vial into the needle to draw the blood out.

" You doing just fine, a few more vials and we'll be done here. " Ritsuko told Gwen in a reassuring voice as she replaced the full vial with a fresh one and watched as the dark red blood surged into it, once that was done Ritsuko took one more vial of blood then pulled needle out of Gwen's arm and placed a cotton ball over the needle's entry point and told Gwen to hold her arm up as she went to get a band aid.

" Ok Gwen just one more test and we'll be done for the day." Ritsuko said as she placed the band aid over the cotton ball to hold it in place. " But first I need to know if you have had your period yet. " Ritsuko added as she put on a pair of rubber gloves and she saw Gwen's face turn a deep shade of red.

" Don't worry it's all part of being a woman." Ritsuko said to Gwen and noted to herself that Gwen was going to grow up to be a very lovely looking woman as she felt a faint stirring between her legs and she asked Gwen when it had happened, once she had her answer Ritsuko took out a box of tampons and instructed Gwen in there use.

" Ok where done here for today." Ritsuko told Gwen and as much as she wanted to do a full gynecologic check up on Gwen she knew that it was not needed and she was no pervert or so she told herself despite her feelings at that moment.

Drake was pigging out on a bowl of some kind of a rice dish with lots of beef and steamed vegetables and was licking his fingers clean, he had no idea on how to use chopsticks and there was no fork or spoon to be had when Gwen and Ritsuko entered the waiting room.

" You barbaric swine, look at you eating with you hands how disgusting! " Gwen said with a slightly horrified look on her face causing Drake to stop eating and Ritsuko to make another mental note.

" Hey bite me princess, do you know how to use chopsticks? " Drake said as he chewed in the food in his mouth causing Gwen to give him another disgusted look, " In fact I do know how to use them, you low life gutter trash. " Gwen snaped back at Drake who was giving her hateful look of his own.

" Ya well not everyone knows how to use them, you uptight twat! " Drake fired back as he watched Gwen pick delicately at the small plate of the same rice, beef and vegetable dish he had been snacking on, making a mental note on how she was using the pair of chopsticks in her left hand.

" That will be enough you two, Drake come with me! " Ritsuko said in a raised tone of voice before the argument could continue * Misato I truly pity you to no end * Ritsuko thought to herself for after the commander and Misato had finished there privet meeting Misato told her some of what had been said.

Drake got up from his seat and shotguned down the last mouthful of his coffee," I'd be glad to, anything to get away from this waste of space! " he snarled at Gwen who ignored him.

As they where making there way to the examination room Ritsuko quickly looked over Drake's dossier.

Ritsuko stopped for a moment and re-read Drake's dossier in order to confirm what her eyes where showing her then they continued into the examination room.

" Ok Drake take off your coat and shirt so I can listen to your heartbeat. " Ritsuko said as she placed the stethoscope in her ears and turned to get a fresh needle and vacuum filled vials so she could get some samples of Drake's fairly rare blood and missed out on Drake who quickly took off his trench coat, his shirt and two other things that he wrapped up in the trench coat.

" Now Drak-GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY! " Ritsuko half shouted in horror as the vials and needle fell from her hand as she saw Drake who was siding so that his profile was facing her and she saw that his chest, back and arms where covered in scars.

" Hey blondie it's not nice to fucking stare! " Drake snarled as he held his arms over his scar covered chest and Ritsuko could see hate, shame and self-lothing in his cobalt blue eyes and it took a moment for his words to sink into her shocked brain and slightly stoppered ears.

" I-I-I'm sorry I-" Ritsuko started to say as she picked up the dropped needle and the vials that had not been broken from there impact on the floor, " Save it sister I don't need your fucking pity! " Drake said as his eyes narrowed into hateful slits as Ritsuko's mind was filled with all sorts of images of physical, mental and sexual abuse.

Ritsuko steeled herself and slowly reached out to check Drake's heart beat," Ok Drake breath in and out. " she said to Drake who looked like he was ready to rip her head off and she was not surprised to find his heart was racing as she listened to it.

" Ok Drake I need to test your reflexes are you going to be ok with that? " Ritsuko asked as she held out the rubber mallet so that Drake could see that it was harmless.

" Fine! " Drake growled as he steeled himself for what was to come and was surprised to that there was no real pain when Ritsuko tapped him with the rubber mallet and his right arm jerked quite violently from the impact, Ritsuko noticed that Drake's reflexes where more sharply defined then Gwen's had been and filed that bit of information away in her brain as she test his left arm that had the same reaction as his right arm had.

Ritsuko took a deep breath, unsure on how to tell Drake what she would need him to do next as Drake gave her a fish eyed stare, " Drake I need you to take off your paints-" Drake's look of deep mistrust changed to a

* What The Fuck * look "-so I can test you leg reflexes." Ritsuko said and watched as Drake undid the laces of his scuffed up army boots and took them off then his socks and Ritsuko saw that his feet where badly scarred as well and her dread increased as Drake slowly undid his paints and she could see that it was taking all of his will power to remove them, exposing his scared legs to her.

* What the hell happened to you! * Ritsuko thought to herself as she saw that the scars ran up the entire length of his legs to his hips and further, causing her guts to churn wildly as some horrifying thoughts and images flashed across her brain pan.

" Y-you doing just fine Drake. " Ritsuko said, her voice was horse and her mouth was as dry as the Gobi desert from before second impact and she saw that Drake was looking away from her as she knelt down and taped his knee and barely had time to get out of the way as his leg kicked up quite violently then she taped his left knee and it was the same as his right leg had been, if she had been a split second slower she would have gotten a boot to the face.

Ritsuko stood up and picked up the needle and just about had heart attack as Drake jumped off the examination table and was slowly backing away from her.

" Fuck you! no fucking way are you going to use that on me, I'll fucking kill you if you try it! " Drake snarled as his wide eyes darted wildly to and fro.

* Christ! he's like a trapped animal * Ritsuko thought to herself as Drake continued to back away from her and Ritsuko knew that when Drake found himself back into a corner he would attack, slowly Ritsuko put down the needle at watched Drake very carefully, unsure as what to do in this kind of situation, she was very tempted to call security but for some reason she felt the need to try and reach out to Drake who had obviously been though some kind of hell that had him so very freaked out about needles.

" Drake listen to me I'm not going to try and take your blood if you don't want me to but I really do need your blood. " Ritsuko said in her most soothing tone of voice that she could muster and watched as Drake begain to relax a little bit, * so far so good * she thought to herself as she took a step towards Drake who was giving her a deadly stare.

" Why?, why do you need my blood for? " Drake asked in low, rumbling tone of voice as he watched the doctor take a step closer to him and he and slowly drew back his right arm causing Ritsuko to stop moving towards him.

Ritsuko took a deep breath and forced herself to relax and slowly held her hands up in front of her so that Drake could see them, " I need to know what kind of blood you have in case you are injured you made need a blood transfusion and if I give you the wrong blood you will die! "she said to Drake who had a confused but mistrustful look that replaced the wild and nearly psychotic look that had been in his eyes a few minutes ago.

" What do you mean by that? " Drake asked as he slowly lowered his hands to his waist for he had no idea why he had been put on the plane and sent overseas and he wanted some answers.

" You mean you don't know why your here? " Ritsuko asked as she had wary look on her face as she looked Drake right in the eyes to try and understand what he was thinking and she was surprised to see the look of confusion in his eyes as well as his own wary look.

" No I got nabbed by the pigs and put on a plane and I was told that I was needed here, that when I met that bitch Gwen." Drake said as he forced himself to relax for he was sure that the doctor was not going to try and spike him with the needle.

" Jesus Christ! " Ritsuko swore as Drake spoke to her and she was unsure as what to tell him, " Look Drake I don't know why you got sent here without being told what to expect but I really need to finish this examination, I promise you that I won't try and take your blood ok? " she said to Drake who still had that deeply mistrustful look on his face, " What do you need me to do? " Drake asked as he lowered his hands but still kept his hands balled into fists.

Ritsuko gulped as she felt a sense if impending horror as she spoke.

" I need you to get back on the table and remove your underwear so I can check you down there. " Ritsuko said as she pointed at his crotch and saw Drake's face turn a deep red and took that as a good sign.

Drake looked at Ritsuko for a moment as his face got redder and redder then he nodded his head and sat back down in the emanation table and pulled down his gray boxers.

Ritsuko was relived to see that Drake still had all his parts and cupped one of his testicles, " Turn your head and cough. " she said and Drake did so *so far so good* Ritsuko thought to herself as she cupped the other one and told Drake to turn his head the other way and couch as she felt a bit of blush creep up her face as he did and suffered what any normal young human male would suffer in this situation, in layman's terms he got a stiffy.

" Ok Drake we are done here, I'll leave so you can get dressed. " Ritsuko said to Drake who just nodded his head in embarrassment, " Drake don't be embarrassed what's happening to you is perfectly naturel." she added and walked out of the room, * Looks like I can rule out any sexual abuse in his case but what the fuck happened to him? * Ritsuko thought to herself as she waited for Drake to get dressed.

When Ritsuko and Drake returned to the waiting room and told the two of them that they would be staying at Nerv for a few days until the testing was done with and led them to some unused sleeping quarters and once they where settled in Ritsuko when back to her office and begain to fill out a butt load of paper work and all thoughts of getting together with Maya for a little heart to heart was quickly forgotten.

The next morning both Gwen and Drake where taken to the cafeteria from some breakfast.

" What is this?, where is the eggs benedict and the sweet ham stakes? " Gwen asked one of the cafeteria works who looked at her as if she was some kind mutant freak, Drake on the other hand was loading up a plate with some eggs bacon and hash browns, " Hey princess you should be thankful there feeding on this gig, for all we knew we would have to buy our own chow. " he called out as he snagged a knife and fork.

Gwen just looked at him for a moment and decided to ignore him and Drake could see the displeasure on her face because she had to eat such common fare as she put some scrambled eggs and bacon on her plate, once she was done with that Gwen sat as far away from Drake as she could not that Drake cared in fact he was thankful for that at lest he could eat his breakfast in peace and all the while Ritsuko was in the background making her notes on the two new eva pilots.

Once they where done Ritsuko walked over to where Drake was sitting and asked him to come with her Drake asked Ritsuko to hold on for a moment and quickly got himself another cup of coffee, he had a feeling he was going to need it as Ritsuko told Gwen to return to the waiting room, thus sparing the poor cafeteria staff a harsh tongue lashing from Gwen on there poor culinary selection.

Once they reached Ritsuko's office she told Drake to have a seat, " Now Drake I'm going to say a few words and I want you to say the first thing that comes to mind ok? "

Drake gave her a wary look for he had no idea what the hell was going on or why it was happening but he decided that he would go along with it even if it was just to see what would happen.

" Ok fine let's get this show on the road." Drake said as he took a swig from his coffee.

" Cat. " Ritsuko said

" Dog." was Drake's reply

" Car."

" Speed."

" Money."

" Bribe "

" Blood."

Drake's eyes narrowed slightly when he heard that, " Kill. "

" Fight. "

" Win. "

" Sex. "

" Woman. "

" Angel. "

" Death. "

" Ok Drake now I'm going to show you some ink blots and I want you to tell me what you see." Ritsuko said as she turned over a card that had been laying face down on her desk.

" It's an ink blot. " Drake said in a slightly puzzled and annoyed tone of voice as he tried to figure out what the hell kind of game Ritsuko was playing at, undaunted Ritsuko put down that card off to one side and flipped over another one.

" An even bigger ink blot, what the hell is the point of all this shit? " Drake said as the annoyance in his voice grew more pronounced.

" Drake the reason for this test is to see what images you see when you look at the ink blots." Ritsuko said and Drake ask what did that have to do with why he was here, Ritsuko could see that Drake was not going to be cooperative with this part of the testing and decided to move on with the next test and opened a drawer in her desk and took notice of the wary look Drake was giving her as she pulled out a rubic's cube and a stop watch.

" Now Drake I'm going to mix up the colors on this rubic's cube and you will half an hour to match up all the colors like they are now. " Ritsuko said as she held up the cube for Drake to see and see the puzzled look on his face then she gave the cube a few good twist and turns to mix up the colors then handed the cube to Drake and click on the stop watch.

Drake looked at the cube for a few minutes then begain to twist and turn it as he tried to match the twists and turns that Ritsuko had given the cube but in reverse order but all he managed to do was mix up the colors all the more, * Shit, shit, shit! * Drake thought to himself as he continued to twist the cube when he had an idea.

Slowly Drake gave part of the cube a half twist so that the one side of the cube was off centered and begain to look it over as Ritsuko continued to watch him, then Drake pushed on one coroner of the cube and popped off one part of the cube that was a smaller cube, he put the bigger cube down and picked up the smaller cube and looked it over, unaware that Ritsuko was watching him more intently then she had been when she begain this test, with a slight smile on his face Drake picked up the bigger cube and begain to pop pieces off of it until there was a pile of smaller cubes on one corner on Ritsuko's desk, then he took what was left of the bigger cube and begain to match up the smaller cubes with the part of the bigger cube that they went with.

Soon Drake was done and Ritsuko clicked off the stop watch and took the rubic's cube from Drake and saw that all the colors where matched up as they should be, " Well done Drake you fished the test with ten seconds to spare." Drake nodded his head, thankful that the test was done, it had been a real brain buster putting the cube back together.

When they returned to the waiting room Gwen was fuming, " What took you so long, I have been waiting for hours and hours in this dreadfully boring place." she said as Drake looked at her then shook his head and sat down and did his best to tune Gwen out.

" Gwen these test take time and can not be rushed, now come long it is your turn. " Ritsuko told Gwen who was looking at her with a * how dare you keep such an important person like me waiting *

" Oh very well let us be done with this mater for I grow weary of all this nonsense. " Gwen replyed in her most commanding voice and Ritsuko had a very unprofessional urge to smack Gwen up side the head.

" Have fun princess. " Drake called out after them in his most sarcastic voice as he made himself as comfortable as he could, Gwen let out a miffed * Humph * sound and walk away from the waiting room with her head held high in destain towards Drake and Ritsuko who just shook her head in dismay as she added yet another metal note that would soon be put in her report to the commander.

" Ok Gwen sit down and make yourself comfortable and we'll being the tests ok? " Ritsuko said to Gwen who sat down in front of her desk in her most dignified pose.

" Now Gwen I'm going to say a few words to you and I want you to reply with the first word that comes to mind, are you ready? " and Gwen told her that she was.

" Cat "

" Ok Gwen now I'm going to show you some ink blots and I want you to tell me what you see when you look at them ok? " Ritsuko said to Gwen as she reached for one of the cards that was on her desk and flipped one over.

" Very good Gwen. " Ritsuko said as she put the last card down and took the rubic's cube and held it up for Gwen to see and saw the annoyed look on her face," Gwen I'm going to mix up the colors on this rubic's cube and you will half an hour to match up all the colors like they are now. "

" Must we play these childish games for I have far better things to do then this." Gwen groused as Ritsuko mixed up the rubic's cube and Ritsuko let out an exasperated sigh, " Gwen this is the last test ok so let's just finish this. " Ritsuko told Gwen as she handed the cube over to her and picked up the stop watch, " Begain now. "

Gwen looked at the cube for a moment then begain to twist and turn it at an ever increasing pace as the seconds ticked on and Ritsuko could see the mounting frustration in her face.

" THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND I REFUSE TO PLAY THIS SILLY GAME! " Gwen shouted and slammed the rubic's cube down on Ritsuko's desk who pushed the stop button on the stopwatch that read 00:15:32 and watched as Gwen begain to sulk and took a few minutes to get her flaring anger under control for she had better things to do then to put up with Gwen's spoiled attitude.

" Very well Gwen the tests are over for now. " Ritsuko said as she quickly jotted down something on the piece of paper she had been writing on since the tests begain then got up from her desk and led Gwen back to the waiting room.

" Well now what do we do? " Drake asked Ritsuko in an annoyed voice, if there was one thing Drake hated it was waiting as he stood up from his chair and stretched a few times to get the kinks out of his back and for once Ritsuko was unsure as what to do with the two children, she could not let them run at large though out Nerv and she knew that she could not have them with her when she went to give her report on them to the commander and from the looks on there faces she was unsure if they would not end up killing one another if she left them alone together and to top it all off the rest of the Nerv staff where busy at there jobs and would be unable to watch them and do there work and she was sure that they would be pissed off if they had to end up baby sitting them.

" I'll take you back to your rooms, you will wait then and I'll be back as soon as I can." Ritsuko said to them in her most calming voice that she could muster, well that idea went over like a lead balloon as Drake blew his stack, " This is bullshit!, what the hell am I supposed to do in my room sit around and beat it? "Drake snarled as he fought down the urge to kick Ritsuko's ass and that earned him a dirty look from Ritsuko and Gwen, " This situation is intolerable and I demand that something be done about it right now! " Gwen hollered for she was fed up with being treated like a common child.

Ritsuko felt like tear the hair out of her head in frustration and exploded.

" LISTEN YOU TWO LITTLE BRATS I HAVE A TON OF WORK TO DO AND I AM NOT GOING TO PUT UP WITH YOUR PISS POOR ATTITUDES UNDERSTAND, IF YOU DO NOT GO TO YOUR ROOMS I'LL HAVE SECURITY ESCORT YOU TO THEM IS THIS UNDERSTOOD?! " Ritsuko screamed at the top of her lungs causing both Gwen and Drake to flinch and she saw the * Bring it on. * look from Drake and the

* How dare you treat me like a common hooligan * look from Gwen and she fought down the urge to turn them over her knee and tan there asses right then and there and to hell with the consequences.

Drake look right in Ritsuko's eyes and saw the steel in them and did his best to match her stare but in the end he could not and told her that he would go but he was pissed off about it, * Your going to pay for this big time you bitch. * Drake thought to himself for no one treated him like this and got away with it.

" Very well but know this I am going to tell my father about how poorly you have been treating me and he will deal with you. " Gwen said to Ritsuko sullen tone of voice for her father was the president of the Gen-Sys bio-tech corporation that had quite literally given birth to Granite City and he had lots of power, political and economical that could be brought into play.

" Good, now let's go." Ritsuko said in a deadly cold tone of voice and the three of them made there way to the rooms that Drake and Gwen had spent the night in and once they where in there rooms Ritsuko took the precaution and locked them in there rooms then made her way to her office to pick up the test results on the two children and make her report to the commander and her report did not bode well for the two children.
