Disclamer: I do not own Eva this fic has lemon and lime in it so if that bothers you do not read this fic that does not mean that there is nothing but mindless sex in this fic, it does have a plot.

This is my frist go at an anime fic so don't expect it to be good but I hope you enjoy it none the less, please read and review thank you.

Part 4

Changes

****** Misato's Apartment ******

Misato had put the last piece of packing tape on the box and got to work on packing the next box.

As she working Misato's mind drifted from thought to thought, namely on how the hell she was going to deal with Asuka, Rei, Drake and Gwen living under one roof and of poor Shinji who had no idea on what was happening nor what awaited him when he returned home, let alone what day it was.

As Misato was putting the last of her things into the box when she came across cd of classical music that Shinji had gotten her for her last birthday and she started to cry despite her best effort not to.

Asuka had finished packing her things and was walking into the living room to tell Misato she was finished when she heard Misato crying and without knowing why she crept into the living room and saw Misato sitting in front of a box holding a cd case in her hands, Asuka could see the title on the cd and realized it had been the cd that Shinji had given Misato for her birthday, Asuka was unsure if she should say something or just walk away and leave Misato to her misery because ever since the day Shinji had been injured and after the talk that Misato had with her and Rei living under the same roof with her had been like walking though a mine field for Misato had been alternating between being snarly towards her and other times she would be crying to herself leaving Asuka unsure as what to do so she just did her best to avoid Misato and did her best to carry on living her life as best as she could.

* Misato you are one messed up chicky-poo * Asuka thought to herself as she turned and left Misato in the living room when she found herself standing out side of Shinji's bed room and found herself wondering about how Shinji was doing as worry slowly wormed it's way into her heart, When Misato had came back from visiting Shinji she had been a terror to behold as she paced though out the apartment swearing like a trooper and shotgunning down beer after beer and Asuka could see the rage in her eyes and knew that something bad had happened juring the visit but she knew that it would be a very very bad idea to ask Misato what had happened so she went to her room and did her best to tune out the sounds of Misato's ranting.

* I hope your ok Shinji * Asuka thought to herself as she walked into Shinji's room and stood there for a moment as she felt the emptiness in the room and unknowingly to her the emptiness in her heart.

The slowly Asuka begain to pack up Shinji's stuff as her mind drifted in the sea of her thoughts.

**** Gendo's Office ****

" Commander these two children are useless as eva pilots, in fact there worse then useless." Ritsuko said as she sat in the chair across from Gendo's desk as she put two folders down on the desk for him to read though.

" What makes you say that for Doctor? " Gendo asked as he looked at Ritsuko with his hands folded over his lower face as he always did and let Ritsuko go on with her report for he was slightly interested to hear what she had to say at this point in time.

Ritsuko could not make out what Gendo was thinking as she continued on with her report, " Both of the children are unsuited for piloting an eva, first off Gwen Masters is living in a fantasy world, she treating this as if some kind of filthy pleasure cruise, she will crack under the slightest pressure putting not only herself at risk but she will endanger the other pilots as well. "

" Drake Frost not only has trouble with authority figures but he is heading for a psychotic episode, the kid looks like he's been thought a meat grinder and he has no idea of why he is here, from what he told me he had been shangi-hi'ed and sent over here for christ sakes! " Ritsuko spat as she hoped that the commander would see things her way but deep down in her heart she knew that her words did not carry a lot of weight with the commander.

Gendo sat there for a moment and contemplated on Ritsuko's words he knew that it would be rough for the fourth and fifth child but he was sure that they could be whipped into shape, " You report is so noted. " and from the emphasis the commander place on the word " Noted " she knew that he meant * Your report is so noted and disregarded * as he spoke on, " We will have the fourth and fifth child as back up for the other children and I will brief them myself, have them brought here..now! "

Ritsuko just about bit her lip off in sheer frustration as she made it known to the commander that if anything happened it would be on his head not her's, if they lived though any screw up on the new children's part then got up from her seat and walked out the door of the commander's office to bring Drake and Gwen before him.

" It about time do you have any idea on how long I have been waiting for you and how dare you lock me like that, I demand to speak with my father right now! " Gwen said in her most commanding tone of voice as Ritsuko opened the door to her room.

" Shut it, the commander wants to see you and I don't want to hear any more lip from you understand? " Ritsuko said in the coldest tone of voice she could muster, " Good once I speak to your superior officer you will not have a job left. " Gwen shrieked in outrage, causing Ritsuko to take a deep breath to keep herself from hauling off and belting Gwen, " If you are done let's go! " Ritsuko said and walked out of the room.

" Well it about fucking time blondie, what the hell do you thing you are doing locking me up like that for? " Drake snarled as he took a few steps towards Ritsuko, his hands balled into fists and Ritsuko could see the rage in his eyes and blew her gasket, " SHUT THE HELL UP YOU LITTLE PRICK!, I'M TAKING YOU TO SEE THE COMMANDER AND I SUGGEST YOU DON'T PISS HIM OFF OTHERWISE YOUR GONE! " Ritsuko screamed at Drake with such fury that it halted Drake in his tracks.

" Good I have quite a few things to say to the asshole that is running this shit hole and you can kiss your job goodbye bitch! " Drake fired back as he did his best to calm down for he knew that things where getting out of hand but there was no way in hell he was going to stand for this kind of treatment and he also wanted some answers as to why he had been dragged halfway around the world and waited for Ritsuko to lead the way.

As they where walking down the hallway towards the commander's office Ritsuko did her best to ignore Drake and Gwen who where reading her the riot act and taking cheap shots at one another when they finally reached the commander's office and went in side, Ritsuko thought about leaving the office but she stayed due to two reasons, one she had not been dismissed and second from the looks that Gwen and Drake on there faces she knew that they where badly intimidated by the commander and she wanted to see the two kids get a good scare as payback for the shit she had to put up with from them.

* Shit! that's one cold looking mother fucker * Drake thought to himself as he got a good look at the commander who had his hands folded over his lower face as usual and decided to play it cool and kept his mouth shut.

Gwen had no idea of what to make of the commander but deep down in her heart she had a feeling that her daddy would be unable to shield her from the flack that the commander might have in store for her as she did her best to keep calm.

" I am the supreme commander of Nerv, Gendo Ikari and I understand that you two have some question as to why you are here? " the commander said in a commanding voice that made his words sound like a statement rather then a question and for a moment Gwen and Drake looked at one another then Gwen spoke to the commander.

" Why have I been treated so rudely for?, it was so humiliating to be treated like a commoner one word to my father and you'll be out of a job! "

Gendo just looked at Gwen for a moment so that he could keep himself from laughing at her empty threat for he was quite possibly the most powerful man on earth and to have a spoiled fourteen year old girl threatening him was almost to amusing to comprehend, " When you learn to behave like a lady you will be treated like one." was his reply and he looked over at Drake who was standing there with his arms crossed over his chest and looking like he was going to try and kick some one's ass leaving Gwen standing there in shocked disbelief for it was so incomprehensible to her that she was being treated like a misbehaving child.

" So what's the deal here, why the hell have I been dragged half way around the world for and brought to this shit hole for? " Drake said in a neutral tone of voice for he was in no mood for an argument despite how angry he was and it was taking all of his will power not to grab the commander by the throat and beat the answers out of him, plus he had met a few hard cases and from the way the commander was speaking to him Drake had a feeling that the commander was not to be taken lightly.

" There is a deadly threat to the human race from beings know as angels- " Gendo was starting to say when he was rudely cut off by Drake.

" Angels?!?! Ya right what the hell have you been snorting? " Drake said as he blew his stack for everyone knew that God was a lie or at lest in his mind that's how everyone thought of God and there was one thing Drake hated it was being lied to as the commander was doing to him and Gwen.

Gendo's eye brows furrowed slightly as he heard Drake speak and he let a touch of displeasure seep into his voice as he spoke for if there was one thing that he disliked very much it was being cut off while he was speaking.

" If you will remain silent I will explain the situation to you understand?...good now as I was saying the human race is threaten with extinction by beings know as angels and it is up to you to fight them." Gendo said as he continued to stare at Drake from behind his tinted glasses and from the look of Drake's face he knew that he would have his hands full trying to rein him under his control.

" Right I find that hard to believe, why don't the army deal with these angels for? or are they to much of a bunch of pussies to fight them? " Drake said in a sarcastic tone of voice for there was no way he could accept the fact that it was up to him and Gwen to save the human race.

" The army can not defeat the angels for only children that where conceived at the time of second impact have the power to stop the angels." Gendo said as more of his displeasure creeped into his voice but before Drake could say another word Gwen butted in, " And just how are we supposed to do that, I find what you are saying to be unbelievable to say the lest, this is such utter nonsense and I for one will not put up with it any longer! "

Drake looked over at Gwen and thought to himself * Right on sister you tell this shithead what is what * before he chimed in, " If the army can't stop them with there weapons what do we, use harsh language?, or perhaps we could ask them nicely not to wipe us out? " in mocking tone of voice.

Ritsuko was abut to tear a few strips off of the two children for being so disrespectful but never got the chance for the commander did something that she had never seen or hear him do before, he laughed but it was a laugh that was reserved for when someone was amused by the stupidity of a another person.

" If that is the case then perhaps what I will show you will change your tune." Gendo said as he got to his feet, his words had a * If you dare * tone to them and from the * This had better be good * look on Drake's face and the cautious yet intrigued look on Gwen's face he knew he had them cold.

****** Outside of The Eva Hanger ******

As they made there way to the eva cages Gendo watched the two children as they fallowed Ritsuko and he could tell from the way they walked that they where on there guard as they asked Ritsuko a few questions about Nerv headquarters.

Once they came to the doors that led to the eva cages Ritsuko typed in a code on the keypad and the heavy steel doors slowly opened and the children came to a sudden halt as they got there first look at an eva unit.

" You mean to tell me you want me and Drake to fly these things? " Gwen asked the commander in a nervous voice for the very sight of the eva units sent shivers down her spine for not only did she find them to be ugly as sin but there reminded her of a monster out of a pre-second impact horror movie she had seen when she was a just a kid and the movie had scared her very badly.

" The eva units do not fly Gwen, but we do want you and Drake to pilot them against the angels. " Ritsuko told Gwen as the commander continued to watch them with an unreadable face, " Yo chief can you explain to me why only me and Gwen can pilot these things and not some other chump?" Drake said to the commander as he tore his gaze away from the eva units.

" That is because only children that where conceived at the time of second impact can interface with the eva units. " Gendo told Drake and he could see that Drake was seriously considering what he had been told and that was quite a far cry from the disbelieving and disrespectful mind set that he had when they first met and Gendo knew that Drake would sign on as an eva pilot and all that was required for that to happen was a nudge in the right direction and he would provide the nudge.

For a few minutes the four of them stood there as the technicians when about there tasks of maintaining the evas at full operational status, " So the long and shorts of the matters is you need us to pilot these evas to save humanity's asses from the angels eh? " Drake said to the commander with slight smirk, for he had never be in the position where anyone needed him for anything nor had he been in the position of power and responsibly that there need for him and Gwen created and he was unsure on what to do but he did recognize an opportunity when it present it'self and he was going to do his best to capitalize on it, in simpler terms he was not sure but from what he had been told he quite literally and figuratively had the world by the balls and he was going to bleed commander for as much cash as he could.

* This is to easy * Gendo thought to himself as he could see the greed in Drake's eyes, " What you say is true Drake, you and Gwen will be fairly compensated for your troubles. " he said in slick voice that vaguely hinted at the promise of untold wealth.

Drake's smile grew when he heard the word *compensated * but that did not mean he was a fool to take the commander at face value without some deep consideration of all the facts, after all what good was a boat load of money when you where dead but still Drake knew that his life at this point in time was getting a lot better then it had when he had been living a hand to mouth existence back in Granite City where he had to scrounge and scam like a madman to keep himself from ending up in the streets with nothing more then the clothes on his back.

Gwen could see the drool that was figuratively running down Drake's chin and was disgusted by it, she knew first hand at how greed could turn a person into a puppet for the ones with money as her father bent, bribed and blackmailed people into doing his bidding, " Money is that all you can think about Drake, you make me sick! " Gwen snarled at Drake who gave her a * hey fuck you to * look, " Look Gwen not everyone is born into a wealthy family where they have everything handed to them on a silver tray so take a flying leap over a short cliff and I don't appreciate you interrupting me and I'm trying to do a deal! " Drake fired back, then looked over to the commander and added " We are doing a deal right? "

Gendo looked at Drake and decided it was time to settle the matter of his recruitment for he knew that he would not be able to get Gwen to join the cause with promises of monetary gain but he knew how to handle her, " Drake you and Gwen will be paid three thousand yen per three weeks, your room and board are included as well as all medical and dental expenses and you will be trained to pilot the evas but I expect you to cooperate with the staff on Nerv and the other children, that is the deal. " Gendo said to them, mostly for Drake's benefit and from the look on Drake's face he could say with ninety-nine percent certainty that it was a done deal between him and Drake.

Drake thought about the deal that had been laid out for him he was certain he could hack the training even though it most likely be a hard road to walk as for cooperating with the staff of this place he was sure that he could come to an understanding with them but as for the other children he was not to sure about them but he was confident he could wing it, " Yo chief I have one last question for you before I give you my answer on the deal we're hashing out here, will I have to pay taxes on the money I make here? "

Gendo chuckled to himself when he heard Drake pop that question, " Taxes, what are taxes? " he said with a knowing smile.

* Hot shit * Drake thought to himself and he stuck out his hand, " Ok count me in. " he said and for some reason he had a strange feeling that he was shaking hands with the devil as they shook to seal the deal.

Once Gendo fished shaking Drake's hand he turned his attention towards Gwen who was standing there with a vaguely disgusted look on her face and Gendo took a moment to choose his words carefully.

" Gwen as you know you are needed to pilot one of the evas and I know that you do not have any real need for money, think of this as not only saving the world but once the angels are dealt with you will be well remembered as one of the people who saved humanity and you will be on a position to make some serious changes in the world, for people will be more inclined to listen to what you have to say and agree with your ideas. " Gendo said to Gwen who was giving him a * I listening to what you are saying but I'm not biting * look and he stopped to thinking about what he was going to say next as well as giving Gwen time to think about what he had told her.

" Think of how proud your family will be of you for doing this, I'm sure that you have always wanted to show them that you are a capable young woman who can rise to meet the challenges that life has to offer and think of the honor and fame that you will bring to your family's good name. " Gendo added as he saw the look in Gwen's eyes that told him that he was slowly getting to her, for he was certain that Gwen had a deep hate for living under the shadow of her parents and always having to live a lie that money and power heaped on one's shoulders instead of living her life as she saw fit.

Gwen had considered the commander's words and they struck a cord deep in her mind, sure she had the best that money could buy, the clothes, the best foods and the best education but there was still something missing from her life and even though she had no idea what that missing thing was it was the fact that she wanted be praised for what she had archived by her own willpower and her own merits instead of being praised for achieving the goals because that was what was expected of her for in her mind Gwen thought of herself as a worldly woman who could make it on her own given half the chance and the other thing that was bugging her was the shallow life she was leading due to the money and power that she had been born into, namely all the hobnobbing with all the other rich people who wore false faces that there arrogance demanded that they wear and for the one that she had been forced to wear because if she didn't she would be cast out of her little world and it security into a lonely world of uncertainty and destain from the rest of the herd that she had once traveled with as her circle of friends became less and less until she was alone.

Gendo could see that all that was needed was just a slight push from him and she would join the team just as Drake had done as Asuka, Rei and Shinji had done because it was his will for them to do so.

" Don't you want to show everyone the young and capable woman that you are but are stifled by the ideas and concepts of that others of your class think you should be? " Gendo asked in a slightly honeyed voice that was making the idea of piloting the evas more and more agreeable by appealing to Gwen's vanity and fears.

" Very well I will pilots these evas if I must. " Gwen said in a cool and slightly haughty tone of voice to cover the real reasons why she was agreeing to job and Gendo smiled to himself as he felt his ego grow with Gwen's acquiescence to his will and caught the look of * slicker then goose shit off a shovel * from Ritsuko who had a secret smile of her own as she mentally took a few notes on how to deal with the two newest members of Nerv and felt a slight sinking feeling when she noticed the slight bulge in his paints for he had been getting off on the slight power trip that the recruitment of the two new eva pilots that sent him on and cursed Drake and Gwen once more for making her life hell as Gendo told the two children that he needed them to return to the rooms for a short time as he and Dr.Ritsuko discussed the next phase of there testing,

* I hope this will be a quickie. * Ritsuko thought to herself as Gendo ordered her to take the children back to there rooms, made them as comfortable as she could and then return to his office.

****** Misato's Apartment ******

Misato had finished packing away the rest of her stuff after her latest crying fit and took a quick look around to see if she had missed anything and once she was sure that there was nothing left she slowly made her way towards Shinji's room and stop dead as she saw though the open door Asuka who was packing away Shinji's stuff and from the looks of the many boxes that where stacked neatly in one corner of the room Asuka had been working at the job for quite awhile.

Asuka felt like some one was watching her and she slowly turned around to see Misato looking at her and from the slightly blank look on her tear stained face she was unsure of Misato's frame of mind.

" Well you where busy packing up the stuff in the living room and I had finished packing my stuff up so I thought I'd start of Shinji's stuff, I hope you don't mind. " Asuka said as she continued to watch Misato, hoping like hell that she was not going to bite her head off for going though Shinji's stuff in order to pack it away.

" Thanks Asuka. " Misato said in a slightly shakey tone of voice for she was shocked that Asuka would do anything to help her especially the way she had flown off the handle at her and Rei after Shinji had been injured, in fact she was sure that Asuka hated her for that and would be nothing but trouble from there on in

So when she found Asuka packing away Shinji's things she had been unsure of what to make of this small miracle.

Misato then grabbed and empty box from the small pile that Asuka had brought with her into Shinji's room and begain to help Asuka in the packing of Shinji's stuff and they blushed when they found a few of Shinji's nightly reading materiel that where tucked in between the mattresses of his bed and decided that they would promptly forget about the girlie magazines after they where packed away not that they, well Misato at lest could not blame Shinji for that, Asuka however had a slightly disgusted look on her face but decided to keep her mouth shut on that matter for she knew she had no right to call the kettle black.

Once they had finished with the packing Misato called for a moving van and then the two of them waited in a tense silence before Asuka worked up the nerve to ask Misato how Shinji was doing and from the look on Misato's face she knew that Shinji was not doing so well and the same worry that she had been experiencing grew more pronounced.

" Misato do you think you can bring me to visit Shinji once we have unpacked all of our stuff in the new house? " Asuka asked as Misato opened up the last can of her beer and sucked it back.

Misato looked at Asuka for a moment unsure of why she would want to see Shinji, " Asuka Shinji is in no shape to see anyone right now, he is such a mess tha- " Misato started to say as her mind took an unwanted trip down memory lane and she had to fight back the urge to cry, once she got herself under control with the aid of her beer she told Asuka about how messed up Shinji was and was taken aback by the look of concerned outrage in Asuka's blue eyes as Asuka said a few unkind things about the doctors and nurses that where taking care of Shinji leaving Misato wondering why Asuka was acting the way she was when it came to the matter of Shinji's health and the rather rotten care he was receiving at the Nerv mental health unit.

Asuka, once she was done cursing out the Nerv mental health workers she asked once more if Misato would take her to see Shinji and this time there was a hardness in her voice that told Misato that she would not be denyed what she wanted, however Misato was not going to give in and take Asuka to see Shinji once they had unpacked there belongings in there new house but that did not mean Misato was blind to the deep need that Asuka was going though, close but not quite and told Asuka that the next time she went to see Shinji she would ask him if he wanted to see her if he was capable of answering her that is.

With that said the woman said nothing more on the matter and begain to talk about minor things as they waited for the moving van to show up.

****** Rei's Apartment ******

Rei was sitting on one of the boxes that held her scant amount of worldly positions and was feeling dead dog tired she, like Misato and Asuka was waiting for a moving van that the commander had provided for her use as she ran her hand though her knotted hair and dimly realized that she would need to get her act together and fast but that line of thought was lost in the swirling chaos of her mind for she had gone to visit Shinji despite the dire warning that Misato had given her to stay away from Shinji but in the end it had proven to be a futile effort for when she had arrived at the mental health wing of Nerv the staff had politely but firmly told her that only Shinji's immediate family or his legal guardian could see him despite her best pleading and threats to have the commander on there cases.

" Shinji I hope you are well. " Rei wispiered to herself as the growing and ebbing tide of emotions held her in it's complete control as the endlessly seeming waiting continued and when the moving men showed up to her soon to be abandon apartment Rei stood to one side and let the men go about there work, once the moving men finished there work she took one last look at the messy and empty apartment that had been the only real refuge that she had even known in her life and bit her lower lip as fear of leaving her shelter from life as she came to think of her apartment slowly filled her with a deep dread of what her future held for her than she left the apartment to house the ghosts of the past and drove off in the moving van to what ever her fate had in store for her.

****** Misato's Car *****

" So where are we heading to captain? " Drake asked as he looked at his freshly minted Nerv ID card as Gwen pouted in the back seat of the car, still unable to comprehend the sudden changes that his life had taken not that he was really complaining about them.

" We are heading to our new home Drake, there you and Gwen will meet the other two eva pilots who will be living with us. " Misato said as the car begain to climb up a steep hill, Misato looked in the rear-view mirror at Gwen who was silently fuming in the back seat, for when Misato got called to pick her and Drake up after the moving van had arrived at her apartment and begain to load up there stuff she found Drake and Gwen arguing about something and from the looks on Drake and Gwen's faces it had been nasty augment that she had to put a stop to as the commander and Ritsuko where standing there watching them.

Once she had gotten Gwen and Drake to settle down she told them to get into the car as she stole a look at Gendo and Ritsuko and she could see the * I so pity you * look on Ritsuko's face and even though Misato could not read the commander's face she was dead certain that the commander was laughing his ass off at her and oh how she wanted to belt the commander one but Ritsuko saved the day when she told Misato that she would have to bring Drake and Gwen back for the rest of there tests early in the morning for she and the commander had decided that the children need to get settled into there new home instead of being couped up at Nerv all the time as they went though with there tests, and Ritsuko had wanted them out of her hair big time even though she liked Misato it was her row to hoe not her's.

" So when we get to our new home I want you two to be on your best behavior understood? " Misato said in a stern voice for she had enough to deal with as she not only got herself and Asuka settled into there new home but Rei as well and she could just picture how Asuka and Rei where going to be at each other's throats and not for the first time Misato was damn glad she did not have any kids of her own.

As the car came to the top of the hill, Drake and Gwen could see a large house off in the distance that was facing a small lake and stood three stories high, * Damn! * Drake though to himself as the car pulled into the large driveway of the house, Gwen slowly looked at the house and fount it to be a bit basic but still all in all it did not look to be all that bad as the car came to a stop beside a moving van, where they saw a young red headed girl giving directions to two very harried looking moving men.

Once they where out of the car the red headed girl came up to them and gave both Gwen and Drake the once over, Hi I am Asuka, Langly Soryu, best eva pilot in the world. " Drake and Gwen gave Asuka the once over as they introduced themselves but before any more words could be exchanged a second moving van slowly pulled into the drive way and they saw a blue haired girl step out of the moving truck and slowly walk over towards them, missing out on the hateful look that Asuka was giving the newcomer.

" Jeez Rei what the hell happened to you? " Misato said to Rei once she got a good look at her disheveled state, " Nothing captain I am tired that is all. " was Rei's reply, her voice no more then a dry wispier.

Misato led Rei over towards Drake, Gwen and Asuka so that she could make the formal introductions and gave Asuka a harsh glare, knowing full well that Asuka would verbally run down Rei the first chance she got.

" I am Rei Ayanami. " Rei said as she bowed towards Gwen who was looking at like she had just crawled out of the nearest sewer, " I am Gwen Masters it is nice to meet you. " Gwen said as she bowed back to Rei who had her dead pan look on her face causing Gwen to slightly squirm when she looked into Rei blood red eyes.

" I'm Drake Frost, nice to meet ya. " Drake said as he nodded his head towards Rei who reminded him of a freaky raver girl he knew back home and he felt the sudden urge to ask Rei if she dyed the other half but managed to keep his mouth from rambling on as he too felt slightly uncomfortable at Rei's empty gaze.

For a moment they stood there at a loss for words until one of the moving men that had driven Rei up to the house asked Misato where they should begain unloading Rei's stuff when Drake called out, " Dibbs on the attic if it's liveable. " and Misato groaned for she was now convinced beyond and shadow of a doubt that what ever bad stuff she had done in her past lives was now being called into account by the cruel fates that where enjoying a good laugh at her expense.

" Fine Drake you can have the attic if it's liveable and we'll divide the other rooms as we get moved in. " Misato said in a gruff tone of voice that made it all to clear to the children that she was not in the mood for any of there bullshit as she turned to tell the moving men to hang on for a few minutes as they took a quick look at the house to see where all the rooms where before they stared to move the stuff in.

The five of them walked into the main entryway that had gray slate titles on the floor in front of the main door to there house and down the hallway there was a large carpeted room that Misato took to be the living room and there was a small pile of boxes in the middle of the room that measured out to be about a hundred and twenty seven feet by about a hundred and seventy eight feet and the walls of the room where done in dark knotty pine with a huge fire place on the far wall from the entry to the living room.

The word * WOW! * raced though there six minds as they got a good look at there luxurious home's first floor that had a large master bedroom that was about twice the size of the living room that was also done in a dark oak and had a deep blue carpet in it, it also had it own bathroom that held a huge tub that could hold two people into in comfort as well as a jacuzzi and a huge full length shower and the bathroom was done white marble and all the taps where done in polished brass, Misato claimed that room as her own right off the bat.

As the moved on they found another bathroom that was similar to the one in Misato's bedroom but done in a slate gray marble with chrome fixtures and further up the hallway was a dinning room/kitchen area that was about two hundred and twenty feet by about two hundred sixty five feet done in a lightly stained pine with black marble flooring that held a large kitchen inland with a rack of chrome pots, pans and other cooking utensils, off to one side was large gas range stove and oven done in old settler style, beside the stove a few feet way was a large double side by side sink done in gray stone, set into a dark oak counter with stainless steel taps and just off to one side of the kitchen/dinning room was a long dark oak table that could easy hold ten people around it with matching chairs.

Then they made there way down the staircase that was in the back of the kitchen area that led down to the basement that was over four hundred and thirty six feet that was divided into three rooms.

The first room was the furnace room that held the massive furnace and hot water tank to provide heat and hot water though out the house, then next room held three huge washing machines and three dryers as well as a double sink off to one side and these room had a deep green carpet.

The last room was a big room with a bright red carpet that was full of exercise equipment such as a weight bench a rowing machine three exercise bikes and a full range of barbells and a punching bag set into one corner of the room, once they had checked out the basement they made there way back to the kitchen.

For a moment they all looked at each other with a * What the hell is this shit * look on there stunned faces before they made there way towards the hard wood staircase that led to the second floor and just about dropped a log when they came to the second floor that had three rooms and a dark forest green carpeting though out the hallway and the doors to the rooms that where done in a birch with silver doorknobs.

Misato opened one of the doors and saw that it was done up like an 1800's style library from England that was about a hundred and thirty feet by about a hundred and twenty feet, the oak bookshelves where empty and there where four overstuffed black leather chairs that surrounded a bear skin rug that was in the middle of the hard wood floor.

Slowly they made there way to the room in the middle of the second floor and opened the door to reveal a room with a light tan plush carpet that was about a hundred and fifty five feet by about a hundred and forty feet that held two pool tables off to one side and at the far end of the room was a ping-pong table, along one wall was a row of ten pre-second impact arcade games and ten post second impact arcade games and a few overstuffed red leather chairs around a stylish silver and glass table and at the back or the games room was a large bathroom that held a toilet and a large sink with a plush rose colored carpet.

Misato let out a delighted squeal as they opened the door to the third room and saw that it was done up like medieval tavern that measured a hundred and forty feet by about a hundred and thirty five feet done in a knotty pine and oak flooring with three tables though out the room with four chairs at each table and along the far wall was a fully stocked bar with a verity of rare vintage wines and other types of alcohol that drew Misato towards it like iron fillings to a magnet and off to one side of the bar that held six wooden stools in front of it was a cleverly disguised fridge that looked like a wooden ice chest that was chocked full of ice cold beer that Misato opened and slammed back like a dying person in the middle of desert that come across an oasis.

" Wow, who the hell did you off to get this place? " Asuka asked as Misato polished off the beer with a loud belch that seemed to echo though out the bar room strangely enough both Rei and Asuka where so taken in by the decadent luxury of there new home that they had forgotten about there hate for one another as Misato took out another can of beer and slowly nursed it.

" Don't look at me the commander set this place up for us." Misato said with joy for she was so happy at that very moment if the commander would have walked into the barroom she would have given him the hard core fucking of a lifetime right then and there.

" Captain where are the bedrooms? " Rei asked and within a few minutes they where making there way to the third floor.

Then they reached the third floor they saw that there where six rooms arranged in a semicircle and decided to start with the left most room and opened the oak door that had the same silver doorknobs that the rooms on the second floor had and was hard wood flooring though out the third floor landing, when they opened the door they saw that the room was about a hundred and fifteen feet by about a hundred and eleven feet that floor was covered in a light moss green plush carpet and the walls where done in a light cherry wood with a huge bay window the over looked a part of the wooded area that surrounded the house.

" I will take this room. " Rei said to them and slowly walked into and taking note of the lay out of the room that was shaped like the slice of a pie with the narrow point of the pie where the door was and the larger part of the pie was set in the back of the room and they seemed to get a strangely pleasant sense of solitude from this room.

" Ok then Rei this will be your room. " Misato said and gave each of them a look that told them that there would be no argument over the matter before they walked into the next room beside Rei's new room.

When they opened the door to the next room on the left side of the third floor they saw that the room was in the same shape and size as Rei's room but this room had a dusty rose carpeting on the floor with ceder walling and the bay window was at the back of the room that over looked another wooded section that surrounded the house and it had a soft warm feeling to it that spoke of relaxed leisure.

" This room is divine! I MUST have it! " Gwen said as she walked into the room with a big smile on her face and slowly turned around to drink in the beauty of the room, " Ok Gwen it's yours I hope you will enjoy it. " Misato said as she found that they room truly did suit Gwen who looked like a young child turned lose in a candy store.

When they opened the middle door they found that it was a bathroom with same size and shape as the first two bedrooms that looked like something out of ancient rome with turquoise floor tiles and a large tub that was sunk into the floor with a white clam shaped sink with silver taps and large toilet that had a soft looking blue seat cover on it to keep a person's backside nice and warm on a cold day.

" Damn now this is living in style! " Asuka said as she walked around the bathroom and there was heartfelt agreement on her statement and they quickly left the bathroom to check out the next bedroom like eager children on christmas morning.

They opened the third door of the room beside the bathroom and saw that it was just like Rei and Gwen's bedrooms but there was a light sky blue carpeting and pine walling and it's window was in the back of the room as well and it gave them a good view of the lazily rolling wave of the lake and they where filled with a calm serenity.

" This is Shinji's room, no doubt about it. " Misato said for she knew deep down that the calming effect was what Shinji would need if he returned to live with them as well as continue to pilot an eva in order to save mankind from the angels.

" Who is Shinji? " Drake asked as he looked around the room and found it to his liking.

Misato looked at Gwen and Drake for a moment, " Shinji is another eva pilot like you four but he had been injured and is recovering in the Nerv infirmary. " Misato said with a slightly down cast voice, " Was Shinji injured while he was fighting the angels? " Gwen asked as she saw the pained look on Misato's face.

" No he was hurt at school and he was taken to the infirmary to recover. " she said to Drake and Gwen who could tell from the deeply concerned look in her eyes that it would be wise to drop the matter.

" Well I hope this Shinji guy is going to pull though what ever shit he's in. " Drake said and got a few harsh looks from Gwen and Asuka, Rei still had her dead pan look on her face and Misato still had the woe be gone look in her eyes.

Without another word on the matter of Shinji they moved on next room.

When they opened the door to the fifth room, she saw that it had been like the rest of the room in it's shape and size but it had a sunset red carpet with oak walls that spoke of smoldering passion and a lust for life, it's bay window looked out on part of the lake and part of the woods that surrounded the house.

" I want this room! " Asuka said with a hungry lusty tone of voice as she wondered into the room and found that it agree with her immensely.

" Well that solves that problem. " Misato said in a tone of voice that seemed more lively then it had been when they had picked out Shinji's room.

They moved onto the last room and when the opened the door they found it to be like the rest save for the smokey gray carpeting and dark cherry wood walls the filled the room with a strange sense of mystery as the bay window looked out into another section of the forest that surrounded the house.

" I can live with this but let's check out the attic first." Drake said as they walked back into the main area that made up the entry point of the third floor and Misato reached up for the draw chain that when pulled caused a set of collapsing stairs to form a ladder up into the attic.

" YO MORTHERFUCKERS CHECK THIS SHIT OUT! " Drake called down to them as he raced up the ladder to enter the attic fully with an awed tone voice and they all went up the ladder one by one and once they where up there they saw that the attic room was about a hundred and twenty feet by about a hundred and fifteen feet with a high ceiling and the flooring was done in teak wood, the walls where done a in thick bamboo and looked like something out of an early pre-second impact ninja movie that spoke of a stern but oddly relaxing and meditative sate of mind.

" I have got to have this room, no two ways about it! " Drake said with a smile for he was very happy, in fact this was the happiest he had been in a long time.

" Well Drake if this is the room you want your welcome to it I guess we'll keep the other room as a guest room. " Misato said with a smile for she was glad to see that Drake was enjoying himself for it was a far cry from the darkly sarcastic and mopey mood that he had been in when she had first met him.

When they made there way back to where the moving men where sitting and having a smoke brake Misato saw some teenage boy standing there talking with the moving men.

" Captain Misato Katsuragi? " The boy asked as he walked towards her so that Misato could see he was dressed in the uniform of Speedy Zip Delivery Services and told him that was her name.

" Well Captain I have a letter here that you have to sign for. " the boy said as he held out a clipboard for her and Misato took it, signed her name to the papers that where on the clipboard and handed it back to the boy who tore a copy of the paper she had signed and handed it to her and then handed her a letter with her name on it then walk over to a bike that was parked to one side, hoped on it and sped off.

Misato looked the letter over and saw her name printed on the middle of the envelope but there was not return address, she opened it and read.

" Captain I hope you find this humble home suited to your needs."

Misato just shook her head as he begain to wonder what kind of game the commander was playing with her but decided to think about that at another time for she had a lot of unpacking to do and walked over to the moving men and begain to tell them where to bring the boxes.
