Part 11

A Little Secret

 

 

****** The House In The Early Morning ******

 

As the sun arose in the east the wooded area around a certain house came to life as small woodland creatures awoke to greet the rising sun, the air was crisp and clear as the rays of the sun warmed them and within the house the occupants begain to stir from there slumber.

 

****** Misato's Room ******

 

Misato slowly opened her eyes as the alarm clock continued to ring stridently causing her to open her eyes with a groan, she did not get back from Nerv until about one thirty or so in the morning and now it was six fifteen as she looked at the alarm clock from under the covers and gave the harmless alarm clock such a dirty look that one would have sworn that it would have melted right then and there.

Misato slapped the snooze button on the clock to silence it and sat up to let out a yawn before she scratched her crotch like a cave woman and slowly stood up.

" Damn it I need more sleep. " she muttered to herself and begain to get dressed as she looked out of her window to see a chirping bird sitting on a tree branch with the bright sunlight shining down on it.

" What the fuck are you so happy about? " Misato said to the bird in a snarly tone of voice and felt the urge to shoot it as it continued on with it's singing.

Once she was done getting dressed she made her way into the kitchen for her morning beer in a very foul mood.

 

****** Shinji's Bedroom ******

 

Shinji opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling that he was slowly becoming familiar with and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, " Why do I have the feeling that today is going to really suck the root. " he said to himself as he continued to stare at the ceiling then with a yawn he got out of bed and begain to get dressed as a sense of apprehension filled his heart as his alarm clock continued to ring before he stopped getting dressed to take a moment to shut it off.

Once he had his school uniform on Shinji gathered up his school books and tucked them into his black book tote and took one last look around his bedroom and contemplated staying home from school but he knew in his heart that he could not put it off any longer and vowed to face what may come head on and made his way down stairs.

 

****** Asuka's Bedroom ******

 

Asuka opened her eyes, let out a long yawn as her alarm clock continued to ring, after turning off the alarm clock Asuka got out of her bed and rubbed the sleep from her eye, she saw that the sun was shining though her bedroom window and walked over to bask in the sunlight as she looked out her window.

" What a lovely day. " Asuka said to herself as the sunlight warmed her body and she yawned once more as she became fully awake.

" Today is going to be a good day. " Asuka said as she begain to strip out of her pajamas and was in a good mood for some odd reason not that she was complaining about it as she got dressed in her school uniform, once she was dressed her looked herself over in the mirror and saw that she was looking fine.

" Asuka you just to beautiful for your own good. " she said to her reflection with a sappy grin on her face then gathered up her book tote that held her school books and made her way downstairs for some breakfast.

 

****** Gwen's Bedroom ******

 

At the sound of her alarm clock's chiming Gwen opened her eyes, let out a groan then drew the blankets up over her head to try and squeeze in a few extra minutes of shut eye but knew in her heart was time to get up and did so with a long yawn, after getting out of her bed and shutting off her alarm clock she rubbed the sleep from her eyes as she got her brain in gear and walked over to her bedroom window for a quick look outside and to enjoy the warmth of the sunlight that was streaming into her bedroom.

As she let out another yawn Gwen saw two gray squirrels race up the side of the three that was by her window and watched them as for a few minutes as the raced around the top of the tree a few times before streaking back down the trunk of the three as her mind begain to wake up fully, she then begain to get dressed.

 

Once Gwen was dressed she saw that her hair was slightly messy and picked up a comb up from the desk in her room and ran it though her hair as she watched herself in the mirror in one corner of her room, a few strokes of the comb later her hair was nice and tidy, " Much better. " Gwen said to herself as she looked away from the mirror and begain to gather up her school books.

 

****** Rei's Bedroom ******

 

Rei was laying face down on her bed and was slowly writhing on her bed and there where small groans that where escaping from her as her body arched with more intensity with each passing moment as she rolled over onto her side.

Her body let out one great spasm and was still for a few seconds before her eyes shot wide open in slightly fearful confusion as her alarm clock continued to tell her that it was 6:45am in the morning.

 

Rei sat up on the bed in confusion as she tried to recall the strange dream that she was having before she woke up and all she could remember about it was that it had something to do with PenPen, anchovies and a glass tube.

* Enough of this. * Rei thought to herself as she got out of her bed and turned off the alarm clock and begain to get dressed in her school uniform but try as she might she could not put the strangeness of her dream out of her slowly awaking mind as she finished getting dressed and rubbed the sleep from her eyes before she gathered up her school books and placed them in her black tote bag and made her way down stairs for breakfast.

 

****** Drake's Bedroom ******

 

Drake awoke from the usual nightmare but strangely enough the nightmare had been different even though he could recall how it had been different from the usual nightmares that he suffered from as his alarm clock continued to ring.

" What the hell? " Drake thought groggily to himself as he felt something strange between his legs and slowly draw back the blanket and to his disgusted surprise he saw that there was a wet spot on the bed between his legs that was covered in some strange white sticky stuff that also covered his happy sacs and his manhood.

" Oh what the fuck is this shit! " Drake said to himself as he wiped some of the white sticky stuff from the bed and rolled it around on his finger tips as he felt his guts churn in disgust, he wiped the stuff from his finger tips on the sheet of his bed, got out of his bed and pulled out the sheet from under the mattress of his bed and cleaned himself up as best as he could, " Looks like I have some laundry to do when I get home. " he said to himself as he grabbed the alarm clock from the edge of his desk and threw it across his room to vent some of his disgusted anger and felt a little better when the alarm clock stuck the far wall of his room and was silent, then he unplugged it to be on the safe side and started to get dressed as his black mood became all the more foul at the sight of the sunlight that was streaming into his room from the window.

 

Once he was dressed Drake gathered up his things for school and knew in the back of his mind that today was going to be the shits and made his way downstairs to get the show on the road.

 

****** The Kitchen ******

 

When Gwen came down to the kitchen she saw a very disheveled looking Misato sitting at the table with a can of beer in her hand, " Your on your own for breakfast. " she said to Gwen who took a moment to look around the kitchen and saw that Shinji was sitting down to a plate of toast and a large glass of milk, Rei was eating from a plate of her leftover vegetarian pizza while Asuka was rooting though the cupbroads for something.

Gwen made her way to the fridge to fetch some eggs out of it for her first plate of fried eggs made by her as Drake came into the kitchen and made his way towards the cupboard that held the nearly empty jar of insta-coffee.

 

Hey Drake are you ok? " Shinji asked as he saw the pissed off and strangely guilty look on Drake's face,

" Ya Ya I'm fine! " Drake snarled as he walked past Asuka with the jar of insta-coffee in his hands and from his tone of voice Shinji, Asuka, Rei, Gwen and Misato knew that contrary to his words Drake was not fine in fact he looked like someone had really gotten on his bad side and decided to leave him alone save for Misato who told Drake he was on his own for breakfast who grunted and nodded his head towards her as he put on a kettle of water to boil.

 

" Now's the time to strike! " Dark Shinji wispiered into Shinji's mind as he finished the last of his toast and looked at Asuka for a moment and saw the happy look on her face and felt a stab of anger at the sight of it, he quickly swilled down his milk and was leaving the table when Misato who after letting out a beer belch asked him where he was off to in such a hurry.

" I forgot something I need for school and then raced up the stairs to his bedroom to keep them from seeing the evil smile that was forming on his face.

 

Rei watched as the other children went about making there breakfast and for some odd reason she found herself watching Gwen who had a frying pan on the stove top and was turning on the heating element to fry her eggs, Asuka was taking out a box of pancake mix then walked over to the fridge to get some milk to make her pancakes, Drake was finishing up making his coffee and took a long drink from it as he sat down at the table and she picked up another piece of her cold pizza and begain to scarf it down and found that cold pizza was to her liking.

 

****** Shinji's Room ******

 

Shinji took the bag out from under his bed and took the bottle out from it and walked out of his room and in Asuka's bedroom.

 

" Now where would they be? " Shinji asked himself as he looked over Asuka's bedroom for a moment then walked over to the set of dressers at one end of her room and begain to open the drawers one by one until he opened the one drawer that held row after row of neatly folded pink panties, " Payday! " Shinji cackled to himself as he took one of the pink underwear from the pile and laid it out on top of the dresser and looked over the bottle he had brought from the pharmacy and read the label on the bottle.

 

* Dr.Chu's Liquid Heat Rub *

 

Shinji read the back label on the bottle of heat rub and found that it was clear, odorless and non-sticky, with a sick smile on his face Shinji undid the cap to the bottle and took the pink underwear and poured a few drops of the liquid heat rub on the crotch of the underwear then quickly screwed the cap back on bottle then begain to wave the underwear in the air to help dry it, a few minutes later Shinji put the bottle of heat rub down on the dresser top and folded the sabotaged underwear and put them back where he had found them and grabbed the bottle of liquid heat rub and went back to his room to hide the bottle.

 

" Well Asuka is always going on about how she's such a hot eva pilot now she'll have the chance to live up to that claim. " Shinji snickered to himself and on his shoulder Dark Shinji was smiling like a loon as was Shinji and nodded his head in approval at what Shinji had just done and Shinji took a few minutes to laugh as he had a mental image of Asuka rolling on the floor in pain as she cupped her burning twat and screaming her lungs out.

 

A few minutes later Shinji walked back down to the kitchen where he saw Gwen standing over the stove with a smoking frying pan in her hands and calling to Misato for help and enjoyed the slightly panicked look on her face, Rei was still munching away on the last slice of her cold pizza while Asuka was making the batter for her pancakes, he sat down at the table to wait for everyone else to finish there breakfast and had to fight down the all most overwhelming urge to smile as he watched Asuka who went about making her breakfast unaware of the pain the lay in wait for her in the underwear drawer thanks to his evil plan.

 

Rei finished her pizza and left the table to stand outside as she waited for the others to finish there breakfast she looked up into the bright, sunny sky and saw a few clouds moving east due to a gentle, warm breeze and lost herself in watching the clouds as sat down on the front step of her house.

 

Asuka was putting the batter into a frying pan after Gwen had finished making her second batch of eggs after having brunt her first batch and for some odd reason she started humming a tune as the batter begain to fry.

Misato who was nursing her second beer of the day was still in a rough and rotten mood after she had to show Gwen how to fry an egg and she could not believe that at her age that Gwen could not do something as simple as fry an egg.

When she heard Asuka's humming she shot a side long glance at her and had to fight down the urge to tell Asuka to put a sock in it, as she wondered what the hell had Asuka in such a good mood and told herself the first thing she was going to do when she got back home from driving the kids to school was to take a long soak in her bathtub and then sleep for six hours or so.

 

Drake finished his cup of coffee as he calmed down from the strange experience that he had awoken to and looked over at Asuka who was humming, " Hey Asuka what's up with you? " he called out as he got up from his seat to make himself brakefast as a very cranky look crept over his face.

" Nothing that you need to worry about. " Asuka said with a slight snarl over her shoulder as she went about making her pancakes and from the snappish tone in her voice Drake knew that any further communication with the red headed eva pilot was doomed to end up turning into a full blown shouting match, " Fine, fine I was just asking no need to bite my head off. " Drake said with a surly tone of voice as he got a bowl out of a cupboard to make a quick meal of cold breakfast cereal and Asuka bit her lower lips as she fought down the need to smack Drake in the face for ruining her good mood with his piss poor attitude towards her, " If that's going to be your attitude towards me then shut your mouth, I don't need it! " Asuka said with scowl on her face and a very hot tempered tone of voice.

" Both of you put a sock in it, it's to early for this shit! " Misato growled loudly as she gave both Asuka and Drake a look of death, Drake shook his head and tuned out both Misato and Asuka and made his breakfast then sat down at the table and begain to eat.

 

Shinji just sat there watching the show being played out in front of him and smiled to himself as he continued to think his dark thoughts about Asuka.

 

****** Outside Of Tokyo-3 Number 1 Public Jr. High School ******

 

Shinji felt his guts roll with fearful dreading as he walked towards the main entry way of his school for he could see out of the corner of his eyes the looks that the other students where giving him when one of the boys leaned over to wispier something in his friend's ear.

 

* WACK! *

A fist came out of no where and knocked the boy to the ground as all eyes turned to see who had hammered the boy to the ground as did Shinji and saw Touji standing over the boy with a deadly look on his face.

 

" That's my friend you are talking about fuck nuts, if you wish to keep living I suggest you shut the hell up!" Touji snarled loudly as he looked up from the boy that he had just decked and started to give the rest of the students that where standing there with shocked look on there faces a * If you talk about my friend your asses are grass * look and slowly the gathered students begain to leave the area including the boy who had been hammered on by Touji who had a split lip.

 

Shinji looked at Touji for a moment in disbelief as he came to realize just how much of a friend Touji was for this had been the first time anyone had stuck up for him and he was confused by the strange emotions that where welling up in his heart and mind.

 

Touji cracked the knuckles of the hand he had belt the mother mouth boy with as he walked over to Shinji with a smile on his face, " Hey Shin man how the hell are you doing? " he ask as he stood in front of a slightly overwhelmed Shinji, " I'm fine Touji but did you have to really belt that guy? " he asked and Touji who threw and arm around Shinji's shoulders giving Shinji a fright.

 

" Hell ya, I'm not going to have some low life punk bad mouthing my best friend. " Touji said for he did respect Shinji a lot for in the six months that they had known one another Shinji had given him some advice when he was having a problem with his folks that had help to make his home life much better also as the two boys got to know one another they found that they complemented each other because there personalties where so different, Shinji who was quiet introspective and knew how to deal with personal problems was a grounding stone for Touji who was fairly aggressive and outspoken but had a hard time dealing with his emotions in a constructive manor, where one was weak the other helped the other to deal with that problem area in there lives for Shinji had learned to be more outspoken and more assertive from Touji where as Touji learned to stop and think with his mind instead of his heart though there where times when each of them fell back to there old ways before they had met one another.

 

" Thanks Touji it's good to know that I have such a good friend as you watching out for me. " Shinji said as Touji quickly removed his arm from Shinji's shoulders and the sped up to catch up to the others.

 

Gwen was talking with Asuka about after school clubs when Kensuke walked up to them with a nervous look on his face, " Hello Gwen I-I-I was hopping that I...um could talk to you for a moment if you don't mind." Kensuke stammered slightly as Asuka and Gwen gave him a cruel look.

 

" Look Kensuke I don't want to talk to you so go away and quiet bugging me! " Gwen said with a sharp tongue that caused Kensuke to gulp slightly as the two girls glared at him, " You heard her take a hike! " Asuka said as he gave Kensuke such a piercing stare that one could have sworn that his head was about to pop under such a baleful gaze, " W-W-W-Well i-i-i-if you..GULP! don't want to talk I'll leave you be, sorry!" Kensuke said as he bowed before the two fuming girls and quick left them before they ended up putting him in the hurt locker as they drew back there lips in a snarl, looking like there where ready to bite his head off.

 

" Can you believe that boy! " Gwen said with a slightly outraged voice as they watched Kensuke's retreating from, " Well I don't think you'll have any more trouble from that stooge. " Asuka said as they continued to make there way to there classroom, picking up where they had left off in there conversation before Kensuke had interrupted them.

 

Drake was mentally reviewing his homework for his japanese class when he Shinji and Touji walked ahead of him and called out to them and picked up the pace when they stopped and looked over to him.

" Hey guys how are you doing? " he asked them and when Touji and Shinji told him that they where fine they three of them walked towards the main entryway to there school as they begain to talk about there classes when they where joined by a visibly shaken Kensuke who looked like he had come face to face with the grim reaper.

" Kensuke what's wrong with you? " Shinji asked as the four of them made there way up the stairwell to the second floor where there home room was.

" Ahh it's nothing really Kensuke said with a slightly dejected tone in his voice that told the three boys that there was something was deeply troubling him.

" Come on man spill it. " Touji said as they walked down the long hallway towards there homeroom and after a few seconds of hesitation Kensuke told them what had happened when he had tried to talk with Gwen.

 

" Like I told you she no good for you man. " Drake said with a slightly unkind grin on his face, " But she's so beautiful and I bet she's smart as well. " Kensuke said with a lost puppy dog look on his face and Drake make a gagging sound.

" Oh man you are one sick puppy, she's as attractive as week old shit, take my word for it she a bitch, I know because I live with her, she'll just chew you up and spit you out. " Drake said as he shook his head in pity when Shinji asked him if she was really as bad as he said she was and Drake gave Shinji a very brief run down on the way she had acted when they had first met and how she was when they had moved into the house before Shinji had joined them.

 

" I know she not that bad I can just tell. " Kensuke said with a slightly flustered tone of voice a they entered there homeroom and Drake just shook his head for he knew that it was pointless to argue with Kensuke who obviously had a terminal case of the love jones for Gwen and they took there seats and begain chatting with one another though the classroom's computers when Rei walked into the classroom and sat down at her seat and was looking out the window for a few moments, her mind was coasting as the other students talked with one another.

 

Hikari walked into the classroom to do her duties as the class rep when she stopped up short when she saw the object that had been causing her such turmoil and it took all of her will power not to brake down and cry as her stress levels went though the roof, she was so wrapped up in her emotional turmoil that she let out a startled yelp as Mr.Hugoa walked into the room and almost walked into her.

After recovering from her surprise she did her best to call the class to order but failed miserably in the end she told the students to sit down and shut there traps in a snappish tone of voice.

For a moment the students looked at her in surprise for they had never seen her so wound up before and decided that it would be a wise idea to take there seats as Hikari stood there with a deeply troubled look on her face, once the students where seated and the class began Asuka sent a message to Hikari's computer terminal " Hikari are you ok? " and Hikari ignored the message as she looked at the one student who had caused her so much grief though no fault of his own as her emotions raged out of control.

 

Asuka sent another message and begain to worry when that one went unanswered so much so that she wanted to walk over to Hikari's desk and asker what was bugging her but she knew better then to do that so all she could do was sit there and worry about Hikari who was looking like a week old dead cat and she wondered not for the first time what was bothering her friend.

 

Gwen was watching the teacher when she saw a line of text scroll across her desk's computer monitor and did her best to read it but could not even though her lessons in the japanese language was getting easier for her she still was having difficulty put the characters of the kanji to the words in english so after a few minutes and still being unable to read the message she ignored it and continued to pay attention to the teacher as the class went on.

 

As the teacher droned on Drake begain to doodle on the blank page of his text book as his mind drifted on the train of thoughts that had him drawing some rather erotic things in his text book as his mind showed him a few lustful images of Misato as the teacher continued to speak about how second impact changed the world geo political scene which was ignored by the students as there minds where placed on hold by the droning voice of Mr.Hugoa.

 

" Mr.Frost can you summarize what we have learned here? " A voice said that snaped Drake out of his lusty daydream as he felt the eyes of the rest of the students on him, " NIPPLES! " Drake squeaked then slapped his forehead with the heel of his right hand as the students burst into laughter, his face turning a beet red as it sunk into his flustered mind as to what he had just blurted out.

 

Mr.Hugoa gave the embarrassed Drake a stern glare, " Come with me! " he said to Drake with a low growl in his voice for if there was one thing he hated, more so then the other teachers at the school was a foul mouthed student disrupting his class.

 

Drake knew his goose was cooked as he stood up from his desk and his humiliation increased ten fold as the students begain laugh even louder when they saw the bulge in his paints as he walked towards Mr.Hugoa who had two water filled buckets in his hands, Shinji Kensuke and Touji where thankful that the teacher had not called on them for two of the three stooges had been in a similar frame of mind as Drake had been and they felt a small amount of sympathy for there friend who was led out into the hall by a slightly irate Mr.Hugoa and was told to hold the two water filled buckets at waist height as he reflected on his failure to pay attention to the lesson that was being teached.

 

Gwen and Asuka where in a agreement that Drake had gotten what he so richly deserved as they felt disgusted by Drake's display of vulgar perversion as he was led out into the hall and they gave each other a knowing look as the teacher took Drake out into the hallway and smiled at his misfortune.

As she watched Drake being led out into the hallway Rei was confused for ever since the strange incident in Drake's room she was forced to reconsider what she knew about him, when she had seen Drake pitching a tent in his paints she could not help but to wonder what he had been thinking about when he got busted for not paying attention to the lesson that was taught and she leaned over to look at Drake's open text book and cocked her head to one side as she looked at the crudely drawn erotic art work in his text book and saw that his artistic skills left much to be desired, then she looked back to front of the class as Mr.Hugoa came back into the classroom and resumed teaching the lesson at hand.

 

Drake was pissed off as he stood there with the buckets of water, mostly he was ticked off with himself for having made a fool of himself in the classroom, " Fuck what the hell was I thinking. " he snarled to himself and felt a stab of guilt for he knew what he had been thinking about and he felt his face heat up with embarrassment as the same erotic images that had gotten him into trouble replayed themselves out in his mind and he felt even more shame because he knew that if anyone saw him standing there they would see the erection that he was sporting and they would laugh at him.

 

* Think unsexy thoughts, think unsexy thoughts * Drake thought to himself as he stood there in the hallway, his arms straining to keep the buckets in the air when suddenly a mental images of the commander in the buff flashed across his brain pan and it took of his will power not to vomit his guts out as his pecker dropped dead at that nasty mental image.

 

Once Drake got to mind back under his control he could not help but to think about how long he was supposed to stand there like the fool that he was and cursed the teacher quite soundly as he his anger started to boil over.

Drake ground his teeth together as the weight of the water filled buckets begain to sap his strength but stood there none the less because he knew that if he put down the buckets and the teacher caught him without them in his hands he would get into more trouble so he would endure this punishment as best as he could

 

Mr.Hugoa finished the first lesson of the day and was getting ready to start then next one when he got up from his desk and walked out into the hallway and saw that Drake was still standing there with the buckets in his hands and at the height of his waist.

" Mr.Frost I take it you have had ample time to reflect on you transgression? " he said to Drake with a stern tone of voice as he looked the boy right in his eyes and gave him a reproachful look.

 

Drake fought down the urge to drown the teacher in one of the buckets of water, " Yes sir I have and it won't happen again. " he said but could not keep a small snarl out of his voice as he met the teacher's gaze with a blank look on his face.

" Very good you may rejoin the class. " Mr.Hugoa said, knowing that Drake hated him at that moment but he was certain that he would not only behave himself but he would pay attention to the lesson that he was about to teach and walked back into the classroom with Drake tailing behind him.

 

When Drake entered the classroom he saw a few of the students in the back row snicker slightly and his face turned a few shades of red as he put the buckets back down beside the teacher's desk and made his way to his desk, when he got there he felt his guts churn slightly at the sight of his opened text book that held his crude drawing of a naked woman and blushed even more as he wondered how many of the other students that where around his desk had seen the drawing and said down.

After Drake colsed his text book he saw Rei's eyes shift over towards him and blinked his eyes for he could have sworn that Rei had smiled at him an he quickly bowed his head low in shame.

 

Asuka was chewing on a finger nail as she told herself that she was bored out of her mind as Mr.Hugoa gave her and the rest of the near comatose students another helping of * How second impact changed the world * lesson when she looked over towards Shinji who was resting his head in one hand as he leaned on his left arm and had such a bored look on his face that he made Asuka look as lively as a mexican jumping bean on speed.

Asuka looked at him unsure as what to make of him, ever since he had come back from the Nerv mental ward he had shown her more back bone in the last few days then he had shown her in the last four months since they had met, part of her felt a sense of loss because she came to realize that she could no longer consider Shinji her personal chew toy and a strange feeling of budding respect for him that cast him in a new light in her mind when she suddenly got a nasty idea to help relief her boredom and the lingering worry she was feeling because of Hikari's seemly radical change for the worse and begain to type away that the computer on her desk.

 

* Bored, so bored! * Shinji thought to himself as he fought to keep himself from yawning in the middle of the torturous lesson when out of the corner of his eyes she saw the picture of a vagina that was fully dilated in the act of giving birth to a child in full color and up close and personal like when suddenly the arm that he was resting his head on went weak with shock at the sight of the picture on his computer screen and the forward and downward momentum of his falling head cause the rest of his shock weakened body to fall out of the chair he was seated on with a loud cry of surprise as he hit the floor of the classroom drawing the attention of the rest of the students over to him.

 

" Mr.Ikari what is the reason that you find it necessary to lay down in the middle of the classroom? " Mr.Hugoa asked as he gave Shinji a scowling glare as Shinji got to his feet, Asuka meanwhile was typing away at her computer to get rid of the image on Shinji's computer.

Shinji looked at Mr.Hugoa who had a * Well I'm waiting * look on his wrinkled face, " Umm..Well I'm not feeling to good and I got dizzy for a moment and fell out of my chair. " Shinji said as he sat back down at his seat and some how me managed to keep a straight face as he lied to Mr.Hugoa hoping like hell that he would believe him as Asuka smiled to herself because it seemed to her that she could no longer berate Shinji or put him down without him getting back in her face about it but it seemed to her that she could fuck with his mind and get away with it and that made her feel a whole lot better.

 

Mr.Hugoa gave Shinji a slightly thoughtful look for a moment for Shinji was not his star pupil or anything like that but he did behave himself and did his work with no complaints so he decided that he would cut Shinji some slack, " I see do you wish to go to the nurse's office? " he asked Shinji who thought about the offer for a moment after all the school gossip had it that the school nurse one Miss.Goslain was a very sexy woman who had a thing for the young students that she would attend to both male and female.

But Shinji did not have any desire to see her again due to the embarrassment and shame of having her tend to his injury before he got sent to the Nerv medical ward, he had been unconscious at the time she tended to his wound and if he had not be he would have been in to much pain and embarrassment to take note of her.

 

" No Sempi I'm sure that I'll be fine now. " Shinji said as he offered Mr.Hugoa a weak smile as he did his level best to keep calm as he continued to lie to him.

Mr.Hugoa gave Shinji one final disproving but understanding look and got back to teaching the lesson.

 

Gwen who had been watching Shinji as he fell out of his chair and wondered if Shinji was going to be ok when she heard some one snickering beside her and when she looked over towards the sound she saw Asuka sitting at her desk with a loony smile in her face as she continued to snicker to herself but before Gwen could asked her friend was so funny the bell begain to ring signaling that it was time for lunch and she gathered up her books and made her way out of the classroom to catch up with Asuka so she could ask her what was so funny as they ate lunch together.

 

****** The Lunchroom Of Tokyo-3 Number 1 Public Jr. High School ******

 

Touji, Kensuke and Drake where sitting at a table eating and talking about what they where going to do after school as they waited for Shinji to join them when Gwen and Asuka sat down at table next to there's and watched as the two girls begain to talk to each other when Shinji came to there table and sat down with a tray loaded with food.

 

Rei walked over to the eating area to find herself a table where she could be alone with her thoughts as she ate her lunch when Hikari walked pasted her to join Asuka and Gwen and just about walked into Hikari who had come to a sudden stop as she dropped her tray that hit the lunchroom floor with a loud clang that got the attention of the other students as she stood there starring at Shinji was giving her a puzzled look as he saw the look of fear, misery and utter confusion on her face, Rei some how knew that something interesting was about to happen and decided to stand there watch what was to happen.

 

Shinji saw tears starting to form in Hikari's eyes as she looked at him and he felt very uncomfortable with the look he was getting for her but something told him that the class rep was in some deep trouble and that it had something to do with him.

 

" Hikari what's wrong? " Shinji asked as he got to his feet and walked towards Hikari who was now trembling before him as worry for her surged though his heart and mind.

Touji, Kensuke and Drake got to there feet as they watched Shinji walk towards Hikari who was not only trembling but her haggard face was as white as a blood drained corpse as they felt a profound sense of doom in there hearts, Asuka and Gwen got to there feet as well as they to felt the same sense of doom as they boys did but for some reason neither they or the boys could take a step forwards save for Shinji who was standing less then a few inches from Hikari who was trembling so badly that they thought she was having an epileptic seizure of some kind.

 

Hikari was so overwrought with the fear, self loathing and shame that had been slowly eating her alive over the past week or so that when Shinji asked her what was wrong with a kindly and deeply concerned look on her face she lost it big time.

" I'M SORRY, FORGIVE ME I WAS THE ONE THAT HURT YOU! " she wailed at the top of her lungs and all activity in the lunchroom came to a crashing halt as Hikari continued to sob loudly and tears streamed from her eyes.

" I DIDN'T MEAN TO IT JUST THAT EVERYONE WAS CROWDING AROUND ME JURING THE FIGHT AND I PANICKED A-A-A-AND......" Hikari could not continue with her confesion as she relived the terrifying moments of the fight that had involved the entire class as Rei and Asuka sought to kill one another and all she could do in the massive knot of failing limbs and flying fists was to reach out and grab on to anything as blind fear consumed her and unfortunately what she had grabbed onto with all of her fear driven strength was Shinji's testicles and did not realize that she had crushed one of them to a bloody pulp until well after the fight had broken up, as Shinji was being taken away to treat his injury Hikari looked down at her right hand that felt wet and saw that it was covered in blood.

For a moment one very confused and badly frightened Hikari did not know what to do when she suddenly ran from the classroom as Mr.Hugoa was trying to bring some order to the students who had been caught up in the free for all as she had been as well as to get to deal with Rei and Asuka who had started the fight in the first place made her way to the nearest girl's washroom to clean the blood from her hand as her mind was racked with guilt for she was not a violent person and she had just committed an atrocious act upon one of the students that she respected and unknowing to her had a small crush on as the image of Shinji's pain twisted face was shown to her over and over again by her mind and she nearly scrubbed her hand to the bone to get rid of the accusing blood.

 

After crying her eyes out in the girl's bathroom she managed to make her way back to the classroom as she tried to put what she had done to poor old Shinji into perspective but failed as she became a basket case as her guilt and self-loathing for what she had done to Shinji ate away at her mind and soul like a strong acid as the shock of what had happened robbed her of her rational thought and all she could do for the rest of that day was go from one class to the next and sit there as she mind continued to mercilessly berated her for what she had done, when she got home she ran to her room and cried for a full four hours as her mind became a ruinous mess of guilt, hatred towards herself and despair as the shock of what had happened juring the fright wore off and she was confronted with the enormity of her crime filled her mind with bloody images of Shinji who was a ruined mess of pain and misery laced flesh.

 

As the days wore on Hikari's parents knew that something was terribly wrong with there daughter and try as they might they could not get Hikari to tell them what was wrong with her despite there best attempts

at being understanding and kind, this created a whole new set of problems for her as well as they had no idea of how to help Hikari as she pushed them away without really meaning to.

 

Things had gotten so bad with Hikari that she could not sleep because of the nightmares that waited for her she stopped really taking care of herself for the most part so she looked slovenly and disheveled so much so that the other students could see the change in her as she went about her day as best as she could until this point in time where all of her fears, self-loathing and misery broke over her troubled mind like a tidal wave.

 

Shinji just stood there starring at Hikari who was sobbing like a baby as a mixture of shock, fear and rage washed over him, " KILL HER! " Dark Shinji raged into his ear and for a moment he could do nothing but stand there with his hands balled into fists as his mind could not comprehend what Hikari had told him for in his mind Hikari had always been a soft spoken woman save for when she had to bring the students of there class to heel as he looked at her sobbing face he saw in his mind's eye a young woman who could not hurt a fly who was always respectful upright and proper who did not go around crushing a boy's nuts out of spite or sadistic enjoyment.

 

Touji took a step towards Shinji and Hikari unsure as what to do about this situation when he felt a hand on his shoulder, he looked back and his eyes widened in shock as he saw Drake standing there with a hand on his shoulder, shaking his head slowly but what gave Touji the willies was the fact that Drake's eye where dead white with black veins running thought them and all he could do was stand there and stare at him in shock but in the back of his mind he knew that this was something that Shinji and Hikari had to work out on there own despite the fact that his heart was screaming for him to go to Hikari and comfort her, so in the end he stood there watched his friend and the young woman that he had strange and sometimes fighting feelings for as they stood there in the middle of the lunchroom and bit his lower lip in nervous fear.

 

Somehow Hikari found the will to look at Shinji and saw that his face was a cold lifeless mask of stone and she knew that what ever he did to her she more then deserved as her feelings continued to rage out of control.

" DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO ME, BEAT ME, HURT ME DO WHAT YOU WILL FOR I MORE THEN DESERVE IT! " Hikari screamed as she waited for what ever punishment that Shinji had in mind for her as she stood there in anticipation of the righteous pain that was due to her for what she had done to him and part of her was sickened by the slaveish craving for Shinji's retribution but part of her knew that he would be well within his rights to take vengeance on her and that part of her won out over the need for self preservation as she saw Shinji standing there, trembling with barely contained rage as his eyes bugged out of his skull.

 

Asuka and Gwen where flabbergasted by the scene being played out before them, Asuka more so then Gwen waited to go to her friend but found that she could not as she felt fear at the sight if Shinji who's was as blank and lifeless as Rei's face that had a look of dark and deadly rage in his eyes that scared her and a deep sense of shock for she never would have suspected that Hikari had been the one to have hurt Shinji so badly as well as a sense of relief for she now knew what had been driving her friend crazy, so she stood there unsure as what to do about his situation as the lunchroom was filled with a dreading anticipation as to what was going to happen next.

 

Suddenly the stillness of the lunchroom was shattered by the clang of another dropped lunch tray and all eyes turned to see Rei standing there, reaching out towards Hikari with her right arm drawn back, her right hand formed into a fist and they could see the look of anger in her blood red eyes.

" NO! " Shinji shouted as he put himself between Rei and Hikari with the same cold dead look on his face that Rei had on her's.

" I promised to protect you, she has hurt you and therefore she must be punished! " Rei said in a cold tone of voice that gave all them a chill shave for Shinji who looked right into her eyes, " That is not for you to decide Rei! " Shinji said with such a malevolent tone of voice that Rei slightly recoiled in fear at the steel in his voice as they stared into each other's eyes in a battle of wills that would forever change them all.

Slowly Rei lowered her arm and unclenched her fist as she found herself unable to withstand the sight of unholy rage in Shinji's eyes.

 

Slowly Shinji turned and face Hikari who was trembling in fear, slowly Shinji reached out with his right hand and placed the first two fingers on his right hand under Hikari's chin and tilted her head up so he could look into her fear widened eyes that where still wet with her tears of sorrow as he board his rage fill gaze into them as the war within his mind, heart and soul was being fought, Dark Shinji snarled at him to take his vengeance that the dark side of his soul demanded as the tension in the lunchroom was kicked up another notch.

 

As Shinji looked into Hikari's brown eyes he could see the look of shame, self-loathing and fear as well as her submissiveness to him and his body trembled as the confusing feelings of his own fear at the dark rage that was eating him alive with the desire of revenge that chilled him for he had never been this enraged in his entire life as the raging storm of his out of control emotions reached it's peak.

Shinji drew in a deep breath and held it as his eyes looked right into Hikari very soul and saw every hope, fear, desires, dreams and nightmares that made her what she was as he came to a decision, his heart racing out of control due to the enormous strain of the emotional conflict that had been fought in his mind and soul.

 

" I forgive you Hikari, I know you never would have hurt me on purpose. " Shinji said as he let his breath out and he found that he could not strike her down with all of his hate and rage as he came to realize that it was not his way to take revenge on an innocent person and watched as Hikari let out a long cry of desperation and shock as he gave her the closure to this dark and terrible time in her life that she had been seeking ever since the fight had taken place, she pulled him close and begain to cry her eyes out as the emotional roller coaster she had been riding for the past week or so came to a crashing halt, Dark Shinji screamed in futile rage as the angel of Shinji's soul bashed him back to the dark recesses of his mind and soul because of his kindness had won out over his need for vengeance.

 

Touji watched Shinji held Hikari close to him and the two of them started to cry as the stress and emotional turmoil that they had been under since he had been injured was dispelled by an act on kindly understanding and he tried to take a step towards them as his fearful concern for Hikari spurred him on but came to a stop as the hand on his shoulder tightened it's grip and he swung around to tell Drake to let go of him or he would bust him in the chops but came to a stop as he came face to face with the same freaky eyes that he had seen before at first he thought he had been seeing things when he saw them the first time but now he was not so sure.

 

" Don't interfere- " Touji heard Drake say but his voice was all wrong for it sound like it was older then the sands of time themselves "-This must play out as it was ordained to. " he added and Touji felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end as blinked his eyes then was cast in to confusion as he saw that Drake's eyes where back to there normal cobalt blue and they where lifeless as if the lights where on but nobody was home and shrugged off Drake's hand that slowly felt to his side

 

Shinji broke from there embrace and looked in Hikari's eyes as her sobs start to subside.

" Hikari I'm going to need some time to deal with this so I ask that you give me the time I need ok? " he said to Hikari who had a confused and fearful look on her tear streaked face and for a moment he could not continue on with what he had to say to her and he looked around and saw that everyone in the lunchroom was watching them and felt a deep sense of shame for some odd reason but he knew that at this point in time he had to be strong as he looked back at Hikari.

" I can't call you a friend right now because I'm still a little shaken up about this whole mess and this is not something that I'm going to be able to get over any time soon so that is why I asked you to give me the time I need do you understand? " Shinji said hoping like hell that she would understand his point of view on this matter and felt a surge of relief as Hikari nodded her head then Shinji did something unexpected he leaned over and wispiered something into Hikari ear that caused her to blush slightly and this caused Touji to let out a small growl for he was not certain but he could have sworn that Shinji was making a move on Hikari and if that was the case he was going to beat the ever living shit out of the boy he once considered to be his friend.

 

Shinji turned to walk out of the lunchroom and came to a stop as he faced Rei who had an unreadable look on her face and in her eyes, " Rei I want you to promise me that you will not harm Hikari because if you do I don't think I could stand to be around you, what happened to me was an accident that's why I have not taken revenge on her do you understand what I am saying? " Shinji asked Rei who just stood there watching him and Hikari for she still could not understand why he had stopped her for punishing Hikari for what she had done to him and she had to think about what Shinji had said to her for a few minutes.

 

" Very well even though I do not understand why you have forgiven her I will not harm Mss.Horaki as you have asked. " Rei said in a flat dead tone of voice then turned to get another tray of food even though she so disparately wanted to question Shinji as to why he had forgiven Hikari for hurting him so badly.

 

Shinji let out a sigh as he walked out of the lunchroom for he had not only lost his apatite but he found that he need get some fresh air to help clear his mind of the lingering emotions that where still in his heart and where starting to drive him a little buggy at that point in time, as he walked out of the lunchroom he could feel the stares of all the students on him and was thankful to get away from them.

 

Asuka and Gwen where the first to recover from the shock of Hikari revelation and quickly walked over to there friend unsure as what to say to Hikari who took a seat at the nearest bench and was wiping away her lingering tears, " Hikari why didn't you say anything before? " Asuka said as her mind was still reeling from her best friend's admission of guilt for she was just as shock as Shinji was but there was a part of her mind that wanted to smack Hikari out of what she did to Shinji and that strange feeling also caused her a certain amount of confusion as she watch Hikari look at her.

" You don't understand I just couldn't say anything I-I-I..." Hikari tried and failed to explane to Asuka and started to cry once more leaving Gwen and Asuka standing there wondering how the hell they could help there friend.

 

Kensuke and Touji where watching the three girls and where debating if they try and help Hikari when Drake suddenly asked what was going on, Touji and Kensuke looked at him as if he was on crack well Touji more so then Kensuke for he was still kind of freaked out by what he had seen of Drake's eyes and told him that he could cut the crap for he knew what was going on.

" Look Touji I don't know what you talking about so could you please explain what the hell is happening around here? " Drake said as he felt a slight stab of fear for his mind was a complete blank as he tried to recall the last ten minutes that had passed and Touji could see the look of fear in his eyes.

" You mean you don't remember what just happened? " Kensuke asked in a disbelieving voice as Drake nodded his head slowly and Touji gave him a fishy look.

 

Kensuke looked over to Touji, " Do you want to explain it or should I? " he asked his friend and Touji said that he would tell Drake what was going on and they both saw the look of relief in his eyes as they sat back down at there table as the other students in the lunchroom went back to eating there lunches.

 

After Touji was done explaining to Drake what had happened to Shinji and how Hikari was involved they saw a deep and thoughtful look on Drake's face, " Hey Drake what was with the freaky eyes and voice? " Touji asked and was not to surprised when Drake told him that he had no idea of what he was talking about, wisely Touji let the matter drop as he saw a look of anger, fear and confusion become deeply etched on Drake's face.

 

The three of them sat down and picked at there lunch as the Hikari, Asuka and Gwen talked among themselves and they wondered what the future held in store for them as they dealt with there feelings of fear and confusion as best they could.
