Shane pulled the door shut behind him letting out an irritated groan after it clicked.

“That chick, I swear to god…” He sighed. “I don't know what that kid sees in her, but whatever,” He mumbled. Shane didn't really think Tony would listen, and sure enough it didn't look like he was, after all he was talking mostly to himself. But Tony was listening, and although he didn't like the fact that Shane was so obviously jealous, he wasn't about to let it get in his way, by this time nothing could.

“So anyway, good to have you back,” Shane nudged Tony's shoulder with a smile, one hand on his hip.

“Hell yes,” Tony agreed putting a hand on his shoulder as they started walking toward the exit.

“Why did you go all crazy on him anyway?” Shane asked off-handedly. “Jason, I mean. It's okay if you don't wanna tell me but I don't think it was for that reason alone. Just because you two weren't getting along or what?” He stopped, stopping Tony with him. Those were the words Tony wanted to hear the least, and for that reason the ones he wanted to hear the most, he needed something to push him along into letting it out.

“Look, Shane,” Tony rolled back onto his heals and started fiddling with the end of his shirt as he often did when he was nervous. “You really mean a lot to me, and I don't mean like… someone to help me with my homework and let me copy it and stuff. But you're like, my best friend, and have been for about eleven years now. And then with Jason and everything when you came back… I thought I'd lost that to him, and it just—,” Shane put a finger over Tony's lips. While Tony had been rambling on about answering him, Shane had stepped forward, eliminating any space that had formerly been between them. Tony's breath hitch and he shuddered, feeling a soft hand brush across his thigh and up to his waist. He was frozen stiff as Shane leaned forward, passing his lips, to Tony's disappointment and let his warm breath flow over Tony's neck.

“There's something you should know about Mark,” Shane whispered as he laced his fingers with Tony's, his mouth millimeters from, if not touching Tony's ear. Tony felt a chill run down his spine and arched his back slightly, swallowing his saliva in a large gulp. “He tells me everything,” Shane moved back in front of his face so that their eyes locked together, catching Tony's confused gaze.

“Son of a bitch!” Tony cursed himself, realizing finally what Shane was telling him; Mark had given him up already, that ass! The thought abandoned him when Shane all but tore his jacket open and attacked Tony's collar bone where his neck met his shoulder, licking and sucking and biting in a smooth rhythm, sure to leave a mark. Tony gasped with pleasure the moment he felt his skin pulled between the teeth of his friend. Shane nibbled gently on what he had, wanting at least a moan, though he may have settled for a second gasp. He placed a hand on either side of Tony's waist, stroking the sides of the lean body with his thumbs as his mouth moved further up the neck.

Tony threw his arms over Shane's shoulder and let himself be taken, after all he knew quite well that Shane was a top boy, and very dominant. With that, Shane had also told Tony his weakness in the thought that they'd never be in bed together anyway. But he'd wait for the perfect timing to take over; right now he was enjoying his time as a toy. Shane pushed him hard against the wall and locked his lips against Tony's, hands creeping slowly underneath his friend's shirt.

“Tony,” He broke the kiss. “As much as I like a good hall way fucking, we need a closet or something, you never know who might see us,” Shane's head was nestled against Tony's shoulder and is hands on his friend's thighs as he spoke, quite reluctant to have stopped. Tony let out a sigh and kissed Shane's neck just below his chin, he nodded in agreement. While holding each other against the wall, cuddling, if you will, the both agreed to simply take it back to the tent, but after training, lunch wasn't going to last too much longer, unfortunately they were going to have to wait.

On the way out, Shane had his arms slung over Tony's shoulder (though Tony wished he'd put it around his waist.) Shane just happened to glance over to see the red and purple marks that ran from Tony's right ear to his collarbone.

“You got a nice hickey,” He chuckled with a smile, quite proud of the mark he'd left. It was large too, after all Shane had gone on with it for quite sometime before stopping.

“Figures,” Tony smiled, inching closer to Shane with every step, wanting their bodies to be touching. Finally, he overcame his usual lover shyness conflict and put an arm around Shane's waist pulling him over so there hips bumped one another as they walked. Shane noticed this action completely, looked up at him and smiled with a bit of a laugh, twirling a finger to his hair. Tony was unsuccessful in holding back a smile, but kept his eyes on the ground as he blushed.

“Well anyway,” Shane began. “This mean we're together?” He stopped walking and turned toward Tony, wearing a loving smile. Tony smiled back and nodded.

“I'd hope so,” He shrugged, letting his hands lay on Shane's waist. “Long as I get to be on top,” He chuckled. Shane thought about it for a moment, he'd been giving it since his first time, hadn't taken it up the ass since sixth grade. But he had to grant Tony's request, he knew how straight guys worked, and he knew more how Tony worked, he loved to do the fucking.

“Sure,” He smiled. “Use your own condoms, though.” Tony raised an eyebrow, condoms? Sure he'd brought some, but Shane wasn't supposed to know that, how'd he find out? “Honestly Tony,” Shane continued. “If you didn't want me to find them you shouldn't have left the box hanging out of your bag. Does Trisha know you brought them?” Shane started rocking back and forth in his boyfriend's arms, wearing a smile.

“No,” Tony looked down. “I had to buy a new box just so she wouldn't notice, you never know what'll happen when you're going to be gone for five years…” his voice trailed off. “But about Trisha,” He bit his lip and locked his gaze on Shane's shirt for the sake of avoiding his eyes. “I still like her, you know, I love her. But I love you… and I don't really want to leave her,” He sounded ashamed. Shane wasn't exactly thrilled to hear this, but he was forced to understand his friend's position. He probably had more of a life with a women anyway, especially a sweet, respectful woman like Trisha was. But Shane wasn't about to date a man whom he knew would never be all that he wanted, he'd known for quite sometime that Tony would be very unlikely to do so, but now he knew.

“Tony,” Shane paused. “I think…” He swallowed. “I think you should stay with Trisha,” He took his hands off his friend and nodded. “She's right for you. I've always liked you Tony, but you know two men don't have to be gay to love each other,” Shane paused, that had come out completely wrong. “I mean, even if they are, it's called friendship, I can love you just as much as a boyfriend, as a best friend,” He bit his lip. “Am I making any sense?” He smiled crookedly with a small shrug. He was somewhat making sense, but not by much. Still, Tony understood what he was trying to say, they were never meant to be more than friends.

“Yeah. I guess you're right…” Tony's voice trailed off. He supposed it was for the best, as he had just been reminded of how much he loved Trisha. Perhaps it had been the time without her, the desperation had taken over and he just wanted to love again. Did that mean he'd never really liked Shane that way?

“Over the years I think I've learned to like you as just a friend more than anything else. I'd be damned if I found anyone as crazy and messed-up as you,” Shane laughed. Tony chuckled along with him, it wasn't what he'd thought would end up being a perfect ending, but it was exactly that…

As if.

“So anyway, I guess I'm not getting ass fucked tonight after all. Wanna get back to lunch?” Shane shrugged, wearing a smirk. Tony shrugged as well, but only took a step before he stopped and wrapped his arms around Shane, giving him a friendly bear hug. Shane hugged back despite the suddenness, and then they headed back to the lunch tables, chatting along the way.

“Tony! You whore!” Mark barked the minute he saw the marks on Tony's neck, Shane standing next to him. “Look at that thing! How you think you're gonna hide that?” He was laughing between words, despite the fact that it really wasn't all that funny.

“I'm not,” Tony sat next to him at the table. “If Wayne sees it he'll just scold me and keep his eye on my neck to see if it ever happens again, which it won't. `Cause I've just been reminded that I'm in love with a pretty girl back in the states,” Tony looked at Shane with a smile and a wink. Shane winked back, plopping down on the bench next to Tony. Clark was immediately jealous, he and Shane had only broken up last night and already his ex was giving other guys love bites that were shown off right in front of him, it was disgusting.

“Wait, so you two aren't like together?” Mark questioned, thinking formerly that everything between them had been worked out and they'd go all the way with a happily ever after.

“No,” Tony replied shortly. “I love Trisha, and whatever gave me the nerve to think I could cheat on her out here is gone now. Unfortunately it left after Shane gave me the hickey,” He chuckled. Clark started stirring around the slop on his plate, not wanting to be involved in the conversation.

“Yeah,” Shane mumbled. “And I'm interested in someone else anyway, as you all may know,” He shrugged. Tony rolled his eyes but made no negative comments, he was quite over the fact that Jason was stealing his position as the best friend, because he knew it wouldn't happen. He was Shane's best friend forever, and something told him that Shane wanted more than a close friendship from Mr. Canton.

“What is it with you and snagging straight guys, can't settle for the gay ones? You know, hang out in Cleveland by the gay bar, watch `em go in and out, see which one's you like, tightest asses and all,” Mark chimed. There was a chorus of laughter around the table from everyone but Clark. “I'm willing to bet that Shane could pick up any single gay boy out there,” He added.

“Not just the single ones eh?” Tony added. Shane didn't take it all that seriously but he did see it as a compliment and decided to go along.

“Yeah you know it Mark, you and your picture of Jet Li hangin' in your room,” He added.

“Hey! He's a damn good actor, fighter whatever,” Mark justified.

“You don't know a damn thing about the guy do you?” Raj laughed.

“Yeah, `cept that he's got a nice body,” Shane added. Somewhere in the conversation Clark reached a point that he couldn't take it, and sprung up in his seat, stomping away on his own. The manner in which he'd done this caught nearly everyone's eyes, but they were all clueless as to why.

“Let `im go,” Raj said harshly. “He's being difficult, he always is,” He sounded irritated, he really hated Clark, it was final. Shane felt sorry though, knowing the good chance he'd done it out of jealousy, but after Raj's words he figured it would wear off eventually.

“So you really like this Jason kid, eh?” Tony asked him with a shrug as he gulped down a sip of water.

“Nah, he's in love, look at him,” Mark chuckled and pointed. Shane blushed and stared down at his food, he hadn't recalled this feeling since sometime around when he'd broken the news to Tony. “See, you see that?” he pointed, referring to the blush. Shane wanted to tell Mark to shut up, but he took his own advice instead.

“You seriously like him that much? I mean he's so much different than you are,” Raj asked. Jason was different, very different, in fact he and Shane had barely anything in common. One was a very laid back kid with nearly perfect grades and a calm, soft personality, abstainer and strong Christian. The other was an Atheist whore who liked nothing more than getting himself in trouble. And let's not forget sexual orientation, but like they say, opposites attract.

“I don't know what it is,” Shane let out a sigh. “As soon as I saw him, it was like… well he's just a nice lookin' kid for one thing. And I think I like him because he's different. Either way one of these days I'm getting him out of his bed and dragging him into mine, provided it's not a hospital bed like it has been lately,” The laughter began again, and the subject was quickly changed due to the former one wearing out.

Things went well for the next two and a half months for the most part. There was news that the war wasn't far from over due to Germany having conflict with North Korea. There hadn't been any battles, or even any signs that the two countries were at war at all. Spies brought back information saying that they were still at the same base, but hadn't made a move on the American troops apparently. Hopefully a treaty would be worked out soon so that all the young men and women could get back home to their families and lives, or at least back to the army reserve.

But there were twenty-four lucky soldiers that would be going home that very day when the plains arrived, and each and every one of them was damn ready to get out.

“There he goes again,” Jason rolled his eyes as the six under the pavilion watched Shane as he stroked the back of the small, black fox, speaking words that none of them could understand at the distance. Shane had been on his way over to see them, but had run into a furry friend along the way. He handed Emo a piece of leftover dry meat from his jacket pocket and tossed it at the animal's feet. The fox was still a bit jumpy, and only allowed Shane to pet it if it got a reward. And on top of that, Shane was the only one that he would go anywhere near.

“How much do you want to bet he's gonna wanna take that thing home with him this afternoon,” Raj said as Shane gave the fox a short wave and headed over to the table where his five friends sat. Mark mumbled the word `freak' under his breath when Shane waved to the animal, rolling his eyes as well.

“How much you wanna bet he will,” Tony added. “He'd leave his clothes out in the woods and keep the fox in his suitcase. He's that desperate,” He said nodding.

“How do you know that?” Jason turned to him. Tony looked up at Shane as he sat down between he and Jason.

“He told me,” Tony smirked. Shane was a bit confused but decided not to comment; after all he was unaware of the subject.
“He tells you just about everything doesn't he?” Mark chuckled.
“Mhm, That's right, Mark, be jealous,” Tony winked back and most everyone at the table let out a bit of a laugh.

“So, who's ready to get the hell out of here?” Shane chimed out. A few of them said `aye' as eight hands flew up into the air, two of which being Tony's.

“Okay, so this is how it's goin' down. We get back, unpack and get settled and all, Mark and Tony come over to my place. Jase, you give David my phone number, and explain the situation. He calls me, so on, etc. we got a nice little vacation all together,” Shane explained.

“So, wait, if Teresa, Clark and I are all staying at your place, why do we need Davy?” Jason asked. He didn't like his uncle all that much after all, something he failed to mention. And there was a certain thing about the man that he didn't want Shane to know.

“Someone's gotta bring you peeps over there, sure as hell ain't gonna be me,” Tony answered. Jason shrugged in acceptance, it was settled, there was no way around him.

“Are you sure you have enough room for all of us? Don't you have a sister?” Teresa asked.

“Hm,” Shane grunted. “Five beds, two couches, and Tony and Mark might even just stay at their own houses some nights, should be plenty of room,” He didn't like talking to Teresa, and always had a bad attitude when he did so. She usually had something negative to say to him, she obviously didn't like him, so he didn't like her back.

“Two hours to departure, we got the whole day off, what are we going to do just sit here?” Tony leaned back, his toes hooked on one side of the table so that he didn't fall off of his seat. His head was inches from the ground, floating above the grass and his hair hung down to just barely touch it. Shane smirked, looking down at him in the random and awkward position. He turned himself around and through a leg over Toy's thighs, moving over so that he was sitting on his lap, facing him with his legs spread around him.

“Oh please…” Teresa rolled her eyes as she mumbled, burying her face in her hands.

“Dunno Tony, as of now just sitting here sounds good to me,” Shane said, resting a hand on either side of his waist. Tony stared up at him for a bit and then sat back up so that his face was right up in Shane's, wrapping his arms around Shane's neck.

“You keep doing shit like this you're going to force me to cheat, Irresistible son of a bitch,” Tony said using a soft, almost sultry tone. Shane chuckled, crossing his arms in front of his chest. The others around the table were just downright annoyed. The two of them had been acting this way since they decided they both liked each other, but couldn't be together; acting like fuck buddies if not lovers.

“Hey you two, before you start making out can I just say that the rest of us would like to go through our lives without having to watch some gay porno or whatever,” Jason cut in.

“Oh, I'll show you some gay porn,” Shane smirked and winked at him humorously. Jason rolled his eyes and pushed him in the shoulder with just enough strength to knock him off Tony's lap and onto the ground beside him. Tony let out a laugh and jerked away when Shane tried to hold onto his shirt, almost taking him down with him. Shane had fallen with one leg stretched across Tony's thighs, his face pressed into the dirt and one arm crunched between his body and the dirt. Seeing his position most of the others got out a laugh as well, but Jason just smiled, very satisfied as to what he'd done.

“All right,” Shane said pulling himself to his feet with Tony's help. “I don't care how much of an innocent little cupcake you are, you're gonna get it now,” He approached Jason with his hand in a fist, wearing a smirk. Jason knew he was just joking around and turned around in his seat, a small wicked grin of his own sneaking over his lips. Shane leaned over him, the tip of his boot barely a millimeter away from Jason's. He gripped the edges of the table and leaned over so he was right up in Jason's face. Jason suddenly became aware of his situation, and felt all together vulnerable.

“Shane?” Tony said in full attention. He recognized the look in Shane's eyes, the same look that Shane had always given him just before…

Shane jerked forward and locked his lips against Jason's firmly, kissing him as deep as possible without making entrance. Jason's eyes widened at largely first in surprise, but later the rolled back due to the sensation.

“What are you doing!” Teresa pounded on Shane's shoulder, pushing him away. “Get off him, freak!” She screamed. Shane broke the kiss immediately upon feeling the protesting fists of an angry girlfriend, bruising his arm.

“You sick bastard!” She scolded, holding Jason close to her. Jason was gasping, staring up at partly Shane in question but mostly fear, that was never supposed to happen, never.

“It's been a while since I've tasted a cupcake,” Shane winked. “Still tastes good. I'm gonna go get all my stuff together if you guys don't mind,” He concluded and then turned to leave. Okay, he felt a little guilty, it hadn't been exactly right, but it was one of the greatest things that had ever happened to him.

“Well…” Raj swallowed. “That was… unexpected…” He rubbed the back of his neck. “You okay Jason?” He asked. Jason looked back at him and nodded, technically he was fine, minus the shudders and chills running all over his body. He felt downright ashamed, and confused as to why he'd enjoyed it at all, which he surely had.

“Look at him, he's stunned, looks like he's been struck my lightning or something,” Mark laughed. Teresa rubbed his shoulder and leaned over to try and look him in the eye, but Jason's eyes were focused on the ground.

“I don't blame `im, Shane's a damn good kisser, he could seduce a straight abstainer out of his pants if he ever got the balls,” Tony chimed out. Jason froze stiff, a straight abstainer was pretty much exactly who he was, but then again apparently Shane didn't have `the balls' yet.

“He's damn right,” Clark replied.

“Hell yeah,” Tony nodded. “Of course Jase was probably too freaked out to notice,” He added. Jason shot a glare at him immediately, sure, he could call Tony his friend now, but that was wear he drew the line.

“Don't call me that!” He growled, referring to the small nickname that a older man had bestowed upon him weeks before while camping out in the woods.

“What, only Shane's aloud to call you that?” Mark squinted.

“Yeah, Cupcake,” Tony mocked.

“Hey!” Teresa hollered. “Cool it, we all know Shane was just being an ass hole, just drop it,” She ordered, and they did. It was silent for a few minutes, before an entirely new conversation had begun.

“Hey Jase?” Shane poked his head into the tent. Jason looked up immediately, a bit startled by his entrance.

“Uh, Hi, what's up?” He mumbled as he shoved his clothes into the duffle bag at a faster pace, he didn't want to see Shane at the moment, he didn't want to see anyone really, just to be alone.

“Listen, about earlier, I really wasn't trying to make you uncomfortable, I was just messing around. I honestly do that to most people I know well…” He froze, that had come out so wrong. “I mean no, I don't really… I mean I do, sometimes, not everyone… but, I just… you're more important to me than the rest,” He'd messed up his wording once again, but decided just to let it slide this time. Jason was looking at him with a rather sympathetic expression, as if he understood. He really didn't understand, after all Shane was stuttering like a child, but he could tell he was sorry.

“It's all right. I know it was just a one time joke kind of thing, I know it won't happen again, I'm totally cool with it, as long as it doesn't happen again,” Realizing he was repeating himself he stopped. Shane's heart sank, he wanted it to happen again now that it had, more than anything. Wanted it to happen right then, right in that tent while they were all alone, he had to lick his lips just thinking about it.

“Well anyway, cool,” He said, trying to hide the sorrow in his eyes. “Everyone else is packed, the planes will prob'ly be here in about ten minutes, better hurry it along,” He patted Jason's shoulder, thinking about hugging him but deciding it wasn't the best time. Jason nodded and turned back towards his packing as Shane exited the tent.

“Oh, Shane!” Jason called to him.

“Yeah?” Shane poked his head back inside hopefully.

“Emo?” Jason asked shortly. Shane smirked at him and simply winked, of course he was taking the fox home. It may have been a little over the edge, taking a wild animal from it's habitat, but Shane never had been truly careful enough to consider something like that.

The feeling of getting on a plane, knowing that they were heading home was a sensation for all seven of them. Security wasn't heavy, so Shane was able to get the suitcase onboard without trouble. There were seventeen other mean and women headed home as well, but two plains, so Shane, Jason, Teresa, Tony, Mark, Raj and Clark got the entire back half of one of the planes to themselves. At times they chatted, part of the time they slept, and just basically hung out like they normally would during the four-hour ride back home. Shane checked up on Emo every fifteen minutes or less to make sure he was okay, and for the post part he was doing well in the moderately large suitcase, lying in the corner, curled up. But the fact that over one period of time the food they'd left inside for him had disappeared, was a good sign.
