Yori froze. Did she just say what he thought she said? Running his hand over her cheek, he bent forward and cocked his head. "Love?"
Alana pulled her ring off making sure the see that the door was locked. She pulled his ring off as well and set them both aside. "Yes," she whispered just before her lips met his in a loving kiss.
Yori moaned softly as she kissed him. Love.... He'd never thought.... He wasn't the brightest cat in the litter, but even he knew he wasn't a great catch. How could he have managed to get someone as wonderful as Alana to love him? Wrapping his arms around her, he laid back down on the bed and pulled her on top of him. No matter what, they were going to do this together.
Alana moved her hands up to his ears and started rubbing them just the way he liked it. She couldn't remember when exactly she fell in love with him, but it was obvious to her that she was the night after Blue Yori left her. She wasn't sure if she loved Golden Yori but she knew that if he continued to do the things he was as of late, it wouldn't take too long before she did.
Yori purred as she rubbed his ears, and soon they were making love. They stayed wrapped in each other's arms for an hour before the video phone in the room began to beep. Yori kissed Alana as he pulled on his pants and sat at the edge of the bed to answer it. "Dad?"
"Yori...I..." He stopped as he took in the scene. "Well, I talk to the president. After quite a few heated discussions he has agreed to give you both immunity for now."
"For now? What does that mean?"
"It means that we should be grateful we got that right now. He's going on the news to give the statement in just a few minutes." His father began shuffling through stuff until he pulled up a file. "I also got the report they did on the Eldarian and humans, but I think it can wait until this settles down."
Alana wrapped the sheet around her body. She moved next to Yori. "No, tell us now. We should know. And how long will the immunity last?"
He nodded and opened up the file. "The official reports state that it is impossible for Eldarians and humans to have children. Their DNA sequences are too different," he told her. "As for the immunity, as long as you don't kill anyone or do anything worse then sleep with each other you should be okay."
"But since we can't have children, then it should be ok for our races to be together. This is still good news. It's just like...a gay couple...they can be together but no children can come of it. There is no excuse why the law can't be lifted now," Alana said grabbing Yori's hand. "This is good news," she repeated.
"Weren't gays also looked down upon?" Yori asked.
"Yes, but at least they weren't killed for being together. Well, aside from a few instances. This is moderately good news, however, I would preferred something a little more...substantial. The president is going to speak about that as well today. Hopefully that combined with your relationship will serve to hit home with people."
"When should we have a speech about us going public? Have you arranged for you daughters to be safe?" she asked. "I won't do it until they are safe."
"My daughters are already on their way to stay with me," he told her. "I'll make certain that they are safe. As for your speech, let the president make it clear that neither of you are to be harmed. Tomorrow is when you'll make your speech."
Alana nodded. She took a deep breath to relax. It was then that she realized she was only wearing a thin, white sheet through the whole conversation. She blushed and moved a little behind Yori. "Thank you for your help in all this..."
He shook his head. "Don't mention it. I'm glad to help. Stay there tonight, and in the morning you can return home or do as you please. I'll schedule your speech for noon tomorrow." With that the screen went off, leaving the two young lovers in silence once more.
"Well that was mortifying," she whispered and laid back on the bed.
"Which part? The part where dad realized we were sleeping together or the part where the president is going to tell the whole world that we've been sleeping together?" He laid on top of her, kissing her and stroking her hair. "Or the part where dad saw these through the sheets?" He poked at her chest.
"Why don't you dig a hole and put me in it?" she groaned. "I can't believe you didn't try to cover me up. I thought Eldarians were territorial when it came to their lovers."
He smiled and nuzzled her neck. "We are," he told her. "But I didn't realize it until dad signed off and I saw your reflection in the screen."
"It's a little late now," she groaned.
He smiled into her neck as his trailed kisses to her lips. "You'll live," he whispered.
She smirked. "Are you trying seduce me?"
His ears perked up. "Well, I was trying to do what the other me does," he said, his cheeks flushing.
Alana laughed. "Ok, listen. You have your style and he has his style. I like your style on you and his on him. Why are you trying to be him?"
His ears laid flat against his head. "Well, he said that what he did made you... hot," he said slowly. "So I wanted to try."
Alana sighed. "Yori...there are some things that you are better at than him and some things he is better at than you. Just leave it at that ok?"
He frowned, but nodded. "Okay," he said. His sad face quickly turned into a smile as he leaned forward and kissed her cheek. "Want me to lick you?" He asked teasingly. If there was one thing his other half couldn't compete with was how good he was with his tongue.
She smiled and an eyebrow lifted. Yes, there were some things he was defiantly better at.
The next morning, Alana spent with Yori. They laid in bed holding each other as noon got closer. "I know you want to be there today, but I really need Golden Yori to be by my side today," she said against his chest while laying over him.
He sighed, but nodded. "I know," he whispered. Kissing her, he closed his eyes and shuddered as his golden eyed counterpart took over. He groaned and stretched, running a hand over her back he smirked. "Great, I get here just in time to miss all the fun."
"Eight hours wasn't enough to last you?" she said smiling at him. She rubbed his chest. "I missed you that morning. Why did you leave? Do you just fuck me then walk out?"
He shrugged. "I'm not really the 'morning after' kind of guy. I enjoy the moment. That's about it." He moved some hair out of her face as he hungrily kissed her. "But no, eight hours wasn't enough. I'm going to start getting that cat nip in bulk."
Alana laughed. She kissed his forehead and sat up. "We can do a quick round before we have to go. Try not to make me sore," she said.
He smirked and wasted no time pushing her down on the bed and pinning her arms. "I make no promises," he told her as he trailed hungry kisses over her body, his teeth leaving tiny impressions as he started.
Nearly two hours later they were standing behind the stage. Alana was pinned to a wall behind the curtains, hidden in the shadows from everyone while she waited for them to call her and Yori on stage. Yori's hands wear in hers and he was nibbling on her neck while she bit her lip to keep quiet. All she had said was that she was nervous and instantly was pushed against a wall where Yori promised to take her mind off things.
He smiled as his hands roamed her body, grabbing, squeezing and rubbing. With her pinned against the wall, he moved his knee between her legs and rubbed while his teeth gently sank into her flesh. He was about to just tell her to strip when he heard his father's speech begin to wind down. "Almost time," he hissed into her neck.
Alana sighed as he slowly pulled back from her. "Yori..." she whispered. "I think I'm falling for you," she said.
He smirked and ran his hands over her to straighten her clothes. "You already told me that you loved me." Well, part of him anyways.
She moved his hand to his cheek. "I really hope you understand how much you, as an individual, mean to me."
He looked at her with curiosity. "And just how much is that?" His voice was soft, but there was still and edge...a hunger to it.
"I don't want to lose you. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I no longer had you in it," she said softly. "I use to despise you...but now...I'm really glad you are in my life, Yori. I know I've said that to Blue Yori a lot while we make love, but I never told you."
He caressed her face and brought her up hard against him as he kissed her. "Good. I want you to remember that tonight cause I'm loading you up on cat nip and we're trying anal." He winked at her as their names were called. It was their time to shine.
Alana only blushed as he pulled her on stage. She took a moment to compose herself. She thanked everyone for letting her be there and she looked at the cameras as they flashed in her face. She started to explain everything that going on. After a long time of talk, she reached over and grabbed Yori's hand. The crowd gasped and there were mummers.
"I guess...in short, the rumors are turn. Yori and I are together," she said.
The crowd started going crazy. News crews were shouting questions and others were calling her names like whore and traitor. Food and cans were being thrown at them and Alana stepped back, holding tightly to Yori's hands in fear. This was looking a lot like her second speech.
"Hey!" Yori snapped. His claws came out as he slashed through a bottle that was thrown at them. One yelled at him and he responded by flicking him off. Real prince like.... "Listen, I know most of you don't like me, and the other half would like to see me dead. The simple fact of the matter is this, I love her." He pointed at Alana, and the entire place went dead silent. "And she loves me. The president himself announced that nothing bad could come from humans and Eldarians being together. So why in the hell should you care what we do? Shouldn't you be more concerned with the gangs that run your streets, or where your kids are then who I'm screwing in the privacy of my own home?"
Yes, real prince like. Yori grabbed Alana to him and kissed her, dipping his tongue deep into her throat as he looked at the people. "This is who I have sex with. This is who I'm going to have sex with. This is who I'm going to marry. You got that? Nothing you can say or do is going to change that."
No sooner did he say that then he heard the 'click'. Pushing Alana out of the way he started to jump, but the bullet slammed into his chest. Almost instantly he could tell that something was wrong. His body didn’t want to move right. It was as if something was stopping him. He crumpled to the ground as the world faded to black.
Alana's body slid across the stage as Yori pushed her away. She stood after a moment and shook her head. Looking over she saw Yori...he wasn't getting up.
"No..." she whispered. Running to him she got to the ground and pulled his head in her lap. Blood was everywhere. "Yori...please...get up...." she begged as her tears blinded her. "Please...don't leave me."
She hugged him to her and cried harder while screaming out for help. People were screaming and running around and she felt like she wasn't being heard. Did anyone care? Did anyone understand? Did no one know she was losing everything she loved most in the world?
His father knelt by him, yelling at the paramedics who were standing by not doing anything. They just stood and watched as Yori laid there bleeding. Even the cops didn't do anything. It was one thing when a human's life was in danger, but this was an Eldarian.
"You fucking cowards!" she screamed at them. Gently she laid Yori down and ran over to the paramedics. She snatched the gear from them and rushed back over to Yori. Her hands shook and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop crying. "It's ok...I'm going to fix you, Yori..." she whispered. Her voice shook as she cried. She looked at the medicines and things and started reading. Her hands threw things she didn't need. Looking at Yori she did her best with what she hand, covering herself in blood in the process. Finally, she stopped the bleeding and gave him a shot to enhance his healing. Slowly, the wound started to close and she pulled him into her chest again, praying he was going to come back to her."Please wake up, Yori. Please...I need you," she cried. Nothing she said, nothing she did seemed to help. He wouldn't move. She screamed as she held him to her and pleaded with him again to get up, to stay with her.
Alana pulled her ring off making sure the see that the door was locked. She pulled his ring off as well and set them both aside. "Yes," she whispered just before her lips met his in a loving kiss.
