Yori walked up behind her and hugged her once she got dressed. "I'll try really hard to find him once we got home," he told her. He thought that everything would be good once he got rid of his other half, but this silence in his head...it wasn't right. It hurt, and it seemed to upset Alana too.

She turned to him. "Yori...for now on...don't leave me if you are upset or mad at me. I just can't take it watching you two leave me. You and him are the only people I have in this whole world. I need you, Yori," she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head on his chest while she cried.

He bowed his head and rubbed her back soothingly. "I won't leave you," he promised her. Slowly lifting her into his arms, he gently carried her out to the car. He didn't let go over her, instead he sat in the back seat and held her as his father drove them to her house.

"I could have walked to the car, Yori," she said but snuggled close to him as she said it. She missed Golden Yori, but knowing that Blue Yori was with her gave her comfort.

"I know," he told her. "But what's the point of being together if I can't pamper you on occasion." When they pulled up to her house, he let his father open the door for them so that he could take her and sit her inside. He was the one that had gotten shot, but he was more worried about her than himself. After all, he healed quickly and she'd given him part of her organs. That was going to take some time to heal.

Alana laid back on her bed. Her hand ran over the spot Golden Yori had been with her a few nights before. When would he be back? Was he ok? Did he miss her? Would...he ever come back?

Yori went downstairs with his father and the two of them talked for a few minutes before he shut the door, leaving him alone. His head hurt...he wasn't use to the silence. Scampering upstairs, he crawled in the bed with Alana. "How are you feeling?" His eyes were wide with concern as he stared at her.

"I'm heart broken...but ok," she said. "Push the button on the video phone. It's beeping." Yori pushed it and her aunt came on the screen. She had left a message.

"Alana! You are all over the news! You are sleeping with an Eldarian!? How could you betray your kind! How could a relative of mine be so foolish!" She looked away a moment. "Get out of my house and take that scum with you! You won't get another cent from me! I wish I never made you that trust fund you ungrateful slut!" The message went away and Alana looked away.

"Call your father and ask if he can find us a place to stay until I find us an apartment. It was wise of me to get that money out when I did," she said and sat up. "Let's pack the rest of my things."

Yori looked at her and frowned. She was heartbroken? He bit his lip and went to the phone and dialed his father. He came up after the second ring, and they sat there and talked for a while. Finally he gave them directions to a place that they could stay. It was a small place, but big enough for just the two of them. Yori thanked him and hung up so that he could help her back her stuff. "I'm sorry that I can't find the other me," he told her as he went through her clothes and put them in bags.

"Don't feel like I'm not happy to have you, Yori. I love you very much and I'm very happy to know you are ok...it's just that I only have you and your other half...I feel abandoned just like when you left me." She took all the things she wanted and put them in suit cases. Her other bags were still down stairs. "If people aren't leaving me, they are kicking me out," she said. She called for a cab quickly then changed into a clean pair of clothes since she was wearing an outfit covered in blood.

Before they walked downstairs, she threw a music box her aunt had bought her at the video screen and watched it shatter. She closed the door to her room and followed Yori out.

The cab driver glared at them as they got in. He looked like he was about to say something smug when Yori flexed his claws. He decided to shut up then. After giving him the address they were taken to what would be their new home for the time being. It was a small apartment, one bed and bath with a kitchen and a living room. It was furnished, and it was all they really had at the moment. "Home sweet home," he said when they got there.

The place was the size of her aunt’s pool house, but Alana didn't mind. She walked to kitchen and opened the fridge. It was empty. Closing it, she pushed some buttons on it, ordering food to fill it. The groceries wouldn't be delivered for a while. She turned to Yori. "I guess we will have to order out."

Yori looked at the empty fridge and sighed. "Yeah...but we might want to be careful what we order in case they you know...want to poison us."

She hadn't thought about that. "I guess we shouldn't order out then...we can just wait for the groceries. You don't have to give names when you do that. They just take your order, bring it to you, then take your money."

She walked around the place looking at things. She felt like she was in someone else's home. Since it was fully furnished, she felt like she was only visiting and would only be there for a few days, but as she came to the bedroom and looked their bags, she knew she had brought everything with her for a reason. There was no going back. More than ever she wished Golden Yori was with her. He was strong and brave and he would know exactly what to say. He would have told her that they could make it and that not to worry because he would look after her. Of course...it would probably lead to sex after that, but Alana had gotten use to that. What was she going to do now that he had disappeared? She needed him just as much as she needed Blue Yori.

She laid back on the bed and curled up into a ball, ignoring the pain of her wound. As much as she tried not to, she cried. How in the world was she going to get through this without Golden Yori? Blue Yori was so naive and clueless at times that only added to the stress. If she wasn't taking care of him, she was explaining things to him like a child. She needed someone to take care of her this time and no one was there. She had lost everything she had ever known and she had lost one of the men she loved more than anything in the world. Even though she had her sweet, innocent Blue Yori, she felt so very much alone. He was so naive that she knew he wouldn't know what to do or say to make things better and it would eventually cause him to blame himself for Golden Yori's absence. She wanted to feel broken by the fact that he would feel that way, but for the first time, she just wanted to think of herself and how she felt. She had no family, no one to care for her, no one who loved her but Yori. She had someone out there who wanted to take her life and millions of others who would be glad to see her die. She wouldn't be able to go outside without someone doing something to her. At the moment, nothing in the world was fair and she didn't have anyone there to tell her what she wanted to hear.

Yori stat there on the floor on all fours for quite some time. He was trying to get his other half to wake up or do something. He couldn't understand why the other him hadn't woken up yet. He should be awake by now and wanting to take over. It was so lonely in his head without his other self yelling at him. Twice he went into the bedroom to look at Alana. She was curled up and crying, which in turn made him sad.

He didn't know what to do for her. All he knew was that it hurt to see her like this. Everything hurt. He didn't bother her when the food came. He took it, paid for it, and then tried to cook them something to eat. While he cooked, he tried to think of ways to wake the other him up. Alana had tried, but that didn't work. When else did the golden eyed version of himself do to awake?

He smiled as his tail began to swish. It happened when he got hurt!

Alana could smell food cooking and her stomach growled but she didn't want to eat. She didn't want to do anything. Just laying there crying was too much. Her body hurt like hell and she just wanted to slip away from existence.

Yori brought the noodles and chicken into the bedroom. Sitting beside her, he rubbed her back and offered her the plate. "Eating helps," he told her.

Alana didn't even look at him as her fingers played with the stitching on the bed while she cry. Her body was still in a tight ball. "I don't want to eat...not right now..." she whispered after a long moment.

He set the food down on the nightstand beside the bed. Reaching down, he kissed her cheek and held his head against her face. "I'm still here," he told her. "I won't leave. Promise."

She closed her eyes lightly as his lips met her cheek. Slowly, her hand went over his, she still didn't look at him as her eyes opened. "I'm grateful."

He bit her cheek gently and his tongue ran over her cheek, trying to lap up her tears. He wanted to comfort her the way the other him would. He wanted to be him so that she wouldn't be so sad. Why couldn't he be him? "Is there anything I can do?"

"Be yourself, Yori...just be you," she said.

He nodded against her. "I will," he told her. "I don't know what else to do but be me."

She sat up. She knew she was being selfish. Her tears were hurting him and her weakness was only making matters worse. Yori...still needed to be taken care of. She grabbed the food and wiped her eyes. "Thank you, Yori," she said and put on a smile.

He sat back on his knees as she sat up and took the food. He smiled and nodded. "You're welcome," he told her, his tail wrapping around him so that he could play it.

She had to be strong for Yori, he was fragile. She had been selfish long enough. Some other time she would have to let it all out, but not when Yori was around. He needed smiles and love. Even if she wasn't up to giving any. She ate in silence and forced herself to eat it all for his sake. Putting the plate down and smiled at him.

"You did a good job, Yori. It was wonderful," she said slowly.

He jumped up to grab her plate. "I'm glad you liked it." He smiled as he leaned down to kiss her. "You can sleep if you want. I won't disturb you. You look like you could use some sleep."

"No...it's ok. I think I'll see what's on T.V," she said and stood. She walked to the living room and sat down then turned on the T.V. Yori put the plate away then joined her as she looked at the holo screen. The news was on...and her aunt was giving an interview."What did you say to your niece when you found out she was with an Eldarian?" the reporter asked.

Her aunt was crying, but then again, she was an actress. Crying was as easy as walking to her. She sniffled and patted her eyes with a handkerchief. "I did what any loving aunt would do. I told her I was there for her and I would be there for her until she no longer needed me. After all, I raised that girl since her parents left her on my doorstep with nothing but a little backpack of clothes."

"And what did Alana do?"

Her aunt cried harder. "She took some money from my account and left without a word. I'm so worried about her."

"Do you intend to press charges?"

"Of course not!" Because she couldn't. Alana would easier tell them she was kicked out and show them the video feed from where she did it. "I would have given her more if she wanted to be on her own! I just want her to know that I miss her and that I lov-"

Alana changed the channel. Another news station. This time it had Yori on it. It was the speech they had held.

Yori grabbed Alana to him and kissed her, dipping his tongue deep into her throat as he looked at the people. "This is who I have sex with. This is who I'm going to have sex with. This is who I'm going to mar-"

This time, she turned the T.V. off.

Yori stared at the screen as she turned it off. Was that what he'd said? "Why did you turn it off?" He looked at her curiously, his tail swishing lightly as he looked back at the blank screen. "I could have seen what I said. Maybe that would help to bring the other me back."

Alana threw the remote. "He's not coming back," she said and stood. She went to the door then stopped. "God! I can't even leave this place!" She felt so angry for some reason.

Yori frowned and scampered off to his bag. Reaching in he pulled out the two holo rings. "If you want...you can," he said as he held out her holo ring.

Alana glared at the rings. She slapped them from his hands. "I shouldn't have to pretend to be someone else just to leave these walls!" she yelled. Her face softened when she looked at the hurt in his eyes. "Oh, Yori...I'm sorry..." she said and pulled him close. "I'm not mad at you. I just...hate the world right now."

Yori let her hug him, but he didn't hug her back. "I'll get him back for you," he promised. His entire body was quivering as he pulled from her. He forced a smile onto his face as he looked at her. "Don't worry! I know how to get him back." With that he ran to the door. Going outside he shut the door behind him. Getting hurt always brought his other half out. That's what he had to do. He didn't want her to be angry and sad anymore.

Alana paled when he ran out. "Oh God..." She ran outside after him but he was already gone. Running inside she called his father and let him know he was gone. She also said she was going to look for him and hung up before Yoir's father could say no.

She ran out the house yelling and calling for Yori. People stared and she knew she was asking for trouble.
