Yori ran as fast as he could. He tried to think of the easiest way to get hurt. As he ran, he stopped and looked at something that seemed familiar. A human bar. Had he been there before? Shaking his head, he smiled. Perfect! Scampering up to its doors, the scanner began to warn them that an Eldarian was trying to enter. Stabbing his claws into the scanner, he went inside, smiling as all the humans glared at him.

"Hi!" he said cheerfully.

"Yori!" Alana screamed. She looked at some people who were falling behind her. Probably waiting for her to get in an alley way all alone. "Yori!" she screamed again now drowning her face in tears.

She couldn't shake that look off Yori's face right before he left. "Yori..." she whispered and looked around. People were crowding in on her.

Yori was sent flying out of the bar as a gun went off in his chest. He landed on the street, groaning as he started to sit up. That hurt. A lot. Where was his other half? Why wasn't golden him taking over? He opened his eyes to see the humans grabbing stuff to beat him with. Maybe Golden Yori would come out once he realized that he wasn't going to defend himself. Yes, that might work.

As the humans began to kick at him, punch at him, and in general beat him...he heard Alana. What was she doing out there? She should have stayed inside. Yori sat up even as a board was broken over his head. "Alana?"Someone smacked him in the face with a gun before shooting him in the leg, he let out a small hiss of pain. They were going to have to do much worse if the other him was going to come out.

Alana screamed as they pushed her against a brick wall. The saddest part were that they were all human males. Her own kind. She struggled to stand and wiped the blood from her lips. Using the wall to steady herself she looked at the as the zoned in on her.

"Fucking slut! You give our kind a bad name!" one of them yelled.

He went to hit her and she ducked. His hand slammed into the wall and he yelled out. Alana kicked him back. She wasn't going to give in. She would die fighting.

"Fucking bitch! Just rip her fucking clothes off and we can show her what the hell it really feels like to be a slut!" he yelled.

One of the grabbed her arm and she didn't have time to hit him before another one grabbed her other arm. She kicked and yelled, bit and scratched, but their were too many of them. She could hear their laughing and the sound of her clothes ripping.

Yori heard her yelling. What were they doing to her? As the guys from the bar tried to beat him, he hoped up and easily vaulted over them. He was going to have to get an Eldarian or another alien to do more damage to him. The things they were shooting him with just weren't doing much other than hurting. Running on all fours, he hurried to Alana's scent. Humans were attacking her. They were ripping off her clothes.

Yori felt his heart beat quicken. Where was Golden Yori? Pain. Hatred. Blood lust. These were his emotions. Not Yori's.... He didn't know how to deal with them. That was what his other him was there for. As he stared there, he didn't bother to think. With a growl he jumped onto them. He back handed them away from her, growling as his claws sliced at their flesh. They were calling her bad things and stripping her.

"She's mine!" He growled, the hair on the back of his neck stood straight up as he crouched before her. "You don't touch her!" The guys from the bar were heading their way. He had a choice, try to bring back his other self or get Alana out of there. It wasn't much of a choice.

Alana held onto Yori's neck as he lifted her up and ran off. "You left me and you promised you wouldn't," she said. She cried out as he jolted her by accident. Her body was only aching more now.

"I wanted to get the other me back for you," he said. He jumped over a human was trying to stop them. "I never wanted you to get hurt. I just thought that if I did maybe he would come back." He held her close as he ran back to their apartment. He didn't make the mistake of going straight there. Instead he doubled back once or twice before finally going to their room. Setting her down on the bed, he kept apologizing over as he knelt in front of the bed. It was taking everything he could not to go back and kill those guys who hurt her.

He didn't know how to deal with his anger like this. He wanted them to pay. He had their scents. He could track them. He could make them suffer.

She sat up hissing and whimpering. Looking at him, she started to cry. Her hands went to his face and she kissed his forehead. "Stop it, Yori. Stop being so reckless. Stop doing things for me. All I need is you, ok?" Her hands moved to his shoulders. "Look at you, you are a mess. I can't keep worrying about you, Yori. I'll die with all the worry. I can't keep doing this. You have to try harder. Try harder to not be so reckless and naive."

She pulled back as she cried. "Did you think I wouldn't go after you? Did you think I would just let you go hurt yourself? Did you even think about how much it hurts me to see you like this? You have to try to think before you do things, Yori...because I can't do all of this on my own. I can't take care of you and myself all alone. I'm just sixteen...I don't know everything yet." She sighed and started pulling his shirt off. "We need to get you cleaned up."

He kept his eyes on the ground as she pulled his shirt off. He hadn't thought. That was the problem. He never thought before he did anything. He just did it. If he wanted to make Alana happy, if he wanted to keep her from worrying then he was going to have to start thinking more. He was going to have to take care of himself so that she wouldn't have to take care of him.

"I can treat myself," he told her as he tried to get her to lay back down. "I'll be fine. I heal quick, and they didn't hurt me as much as they needed to." He picked the remnants of her clothes off of her, frowning as he looked down at them. "Those humans attacked you because of me.... Because you're with me."

Shaking his head, he tried to smile. He didn't want her to worry. "I'll be more careful. I won't do anything reckless. I promise."

Alana looked at him. Her eyes hurt. "The last time you made a promise, you broke it before you even had a chance to keep it," she reminded him.

He bit his lip and nodded slowly. "I won't promise," he told her. "Cause promises get broken.... But I will try, really really hard. I don't want to see you cry.... And I'll do whatever I can to keep you from crying."

"Then start thinking more and stop trying so hard to find him." She sat up again and ran her hands over his wounds while watching them heal. She leaned her head against his chest. "I've accepted the fact that he's not coming back...you should accept it too..."

He wanted to tell her that he would come back, but he didn't want to argue. He wrapped his arms and held her. He was quiet. The only sounds was that of their breathing. After a few minutes he had to let her go so that he could do something. "You might wanna close your eyes," he told her. His claws grew slightly as he began to dig out the pieces of metal and lead that had lodged in his skin. He didn't want his skin healing with them still lodged into him. That would be bad.

Alana didn't close her eyes. She watched him dig them out. After seeing his guts, she was sure that nothing could turn her stomach. As soon as he got the metal out, the wounds start to heal. Alana stood want walked to the bathroom. Pushing buttons, the water came on. She ushered him in and watched him strip. He got in the tub and she ran the portable water head over his body to get the blood off him.

Handing him the water head, she took off her panties and bra then got in with him so he could run the warm water over her.

Yori moved so that she could lean against his chest. Already his wounds had scabbed over so he wouldn't bleed on her. Holding her to him he gently ran the water head over her to get the blood off. While he did so, he kissed her shouldered, neck, and every other inch of her could his lips and teeth onto.

Alana cried on him hoping that with all the water they would blend and with the smell of blood, the salt of the tears would fade. She cried over the loss of Golden Yori. Every time she thought of him, she wanted to cry. Every time she thought of his absence, it only added to the feeling of unwanted tears. Her heart felt like it had a hole in it, then again, she might have only had half a heart left. Yori might have the other half. She ran her hands down his back as she rested her head on his chest. He was so warm and welcoming.

Yori's body tingled as he held her. When she touched his chest, he felt it get all warm, just like before. Setting the water head aside, he pressed his lips to hers, nibbling on them slightly. His hands traced her body, pulling her, beckoning her closer into him. "I love you," he said. He didn't say it because she needed to hear it. He just said it because he enjoyed saying it. He enjoyed knowing that she was his. That she loved him as well.

She nuzzled her head in his neck just as he did to her many times before. Her hands rubbed his ears lightly before stepping out and walking back to the bedroom to get dressed. After dressing she crawled in bed and held the covers open for him, inviting Yori to lay next to her.

After the bath, Yori dried off and put on some boxers. His lips curved into a smile as she invited him to sleep next to her. Crawling into the bed beside her, he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into him so that he could hold her.

A month later Alana laid beneath Yori on her stomach. He rested on her back while breathing heavily. A part of her wanted to sigh as he lightly licked her cheek. It was Blue Yori...just as it had been all month. She had tried all Golden Yori's favorite positions including then one from tonight with him behind her. Nothing had pulled him out. He was really gone.

Again, Yori licked her face and nuzzled her neck. She couldn't help but smile. She really did love his tender touches after sex.

"We gotta try that one again," he said with a smile as he nuzzled her. "That was fun." He purred softly as his hands traced over her back. A month without his other self had passed. They were still the most hated people on the planet, but others were starting to come out too. Apparently there were others having affairs with Eldarians, and only as of late they had made themselves known. Things were changing, slowly but surely.

"And the one from yesterday. I liked that one too." His tongue ran over her neck and ear where he gently began to nibble.

Alana only nodded. Because of the resent outcome of human and Eldarian relationships, people were sending her and Yori gifts and inviting them to go out with them. Of course, it was a thank you for paving the way for the new couples. Not one of them had kids, however. And most of them had only been together for a few weeks, to a few months. It had started snowing a few weeks back, but they hadn't left the house much.

Alana turned in Yori's arms until she was on her back with him on her chest. She didn't have the heart to tell him that most of their sexually experiences where some of Golden Yori's favorites so she wasn't doing them the first time with him. He had seemed so happy as of late and she wasn't sure if it was because he was always cooped up in bed with her or because he was the only voice in his head.

Yori smiled down at her, his tongue running over her face before he kissed her and let his tongue explore her mouth. Pulling back, he nuzzled her once more. "Tomorrow I gotta go get my collar adjusted," he told her. "Dad says that I need to be registered nationally since the president is trying to push for us being able to vote."

He nuzzled her chest, stopping only to turn and cough, shuddering lightly as he did so. "I think that peanut butter fish I ate was bad." He stuck out his tongue. His tummy hurt.

Alana laughed. "I bet. You eat the weirdest things," she said and pushed him off her. She walked to the bathroom and ran the genetic neutralizer over her stomach. No beep, like always. She knew that she didn't have to check since she couldn't get pregnant with him, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure. She tossed it to him. "Here, use that real quick. I'm going to make us some snacks," she said and slipped on a house coat before going to the kitchen.

He nodded and looked at the device. Running over his stomach it beeped. He looked down at it curiously. She had never told him what happened when it beeped. He was gonna press the button again to see if it would beep again when she called to him. Tossing it onto the bed he pulled on his night pants and shivered. It was getting cold out. His kind wasn't exactly fond of stuff that was wet and cold.

Alana licked her finger then smiled when he came in. "Try this," she said and let him lick her other finger. "I ordered the cookies uncooked. It's the dough. I read somewhere that eating cookie dough was really popular back in the 21st century. I like it," she said. "What do you think?"

He licked the dough off her fingers, his eyes grew wide and his tail began to swish furiously. "That's really really good!" He took her hand and began gently gnawing on her finger to get more of the cookie dough. Why didn't they make this anymore!?

Alana blushed. That was...kinda kinky. She pulled her hand back. "Stop it..." she laughed and handed him the bowl of dough. "Get your own hands doughy."

He looked at the dough, then at her, noticing the blush on her cheeks. Sticking his finger into the dough, he nibbled on it for a moment. Smiling he rubbed it on her neck. "It tastes better on you," he said as he moved in close and began nibbling and licking it off of her neck.

Alana moaned lightly. She let her eyes flutter closed. Lightly she pushed him back. "We've been going at it like rabbits for days...I need a breather..." she said. Lately all he wanted to do was have sex. It was strange.

He pouted and moved back. "Okay," he said, not bothering to hide the fact that he was pouting. He grabbed the bowl of cookie dough and hugged it to him. "But I'm taking this for concil...for con...to make me happy!"

Alana watched him walk back to the room. She washed the rest of the dough off her and opened her house coat lightly. Her hips held scars from Yori's claws and she still had little scars on her neck from his fangs. All thanks to Golden Yori. She smiled as she ran her hand over them. He wouldn't have taken that as an excuse to get out of sex. By now he would have her addicted to Eldarian cat nip. She thought that as the days went by, she wouldn't miss him so much, but here she was...thinking about him more and more everyday and of the things he said right before he got shot.

She walked back to the room and smirked when she saw half the cookie dough gone. She took it from him. "You'll make yourself sick eating too much raw things," she said. Reaching down she grabbed the neutralizer off the bed and moved beside him. "Did you use this yet?"

He whimpered as she took it away. "But it's so good!" When she motioned to the neutralizer he nodded, not really paying attention. His cookie dough was getting away! Sitting back on the bed, he groaned as he laid back and rubbed his stomach. "Maybe you were right," he said slowly as his stomach rumbled. "Too much of a good thing is bad."

"Did it beep?" she asked.
