Red cautiously opened the box, remembering Lance's instructions. The figure inside was small, but he smiled brightly as it was revealed. It was complete.
It was so easy to do this, and there wouldn't even be any blood on his hands.
He smiled, picked up his yellow compact mirror, flipped the top open and waited. Lance's face shimmered into view moments later.
“Yes, Red?”
“Message received.” The Champion smiled. “I'll do it.”
“As you wish.”

It didn't take more than a few seconds. He looked at the wax figure of President Goodman, before he flicked his fingers. A small spark of black lightning lanced through the structure, shattering it to pieces.
It was done.
It was so simple. Wax was magic, but all Chosen learned magic, and he was Chosen, and he hadn't even had to make the figure. The spell had been an ancient one, but it mattered little, as it was still effective.
Red was happy.
His power was for destruction, really. Charlotte found trouble, and Lance could try to purify it if he wished, but when there was no other recourse, they would become his Shield and Sword and he would destroy the evil. It was his task, after all.
He cleaned up the shards, visualized the power of Frameshift in his mind, and watched as they faded away.

It was easy to paste the famiscile of grief on his face the next day at Goodman's funeral, and he felt Lance behind him, supporting him, and the barest whisper of `well done' ghosting in his mind.
He smiled.
