Saya: I've had about enough of this. What's up with her lately?[Author ID256: at ]

Shin: You hear that? *the group strains and can just make out a faint sob. Moving toward the sound they find DL stuffing her face in the kitchen.*[Author ID512: at ]

Shu: What the hell?[Author ID256: at ]

DL: *Looks up a huge spoon poking out her lips. She pulls it out digging back into the ice cream in front of her.*[Author ID512: at ]

Anubis: What are you doing?[Author ID256: at ]

Shin: DL what's wrong?[Author ID256: at ]

DL: Nothing I said, now leave.[Author ID256: at ]

Nasty: How can you say nothing's wrong when you're eating ice cream by the gallon? *hold up empty cookie dough ice cream container.*[Author ID512: at ]

The trio's gaze hung on the motionless masho who had suddenly appeared before them. Blood pooled around him as Saya took note of the gashes in the armor of Yami.[Author ID512: at ]

^Doku…Gen… Oni…^ Saya blinked looking at the two troopers wondering if they had heard the voice. [Author ID512: at ]

^No it's Yami, he's calling to the other seasons.^ Ojo explained. ^Go to him.^ [Author ID256: at ]

Saya nodded and started toward the masho before either trooper could stop her.[Author ID256: at ]

"Saya, wait!" Ryo shouted as Saya bent down next to Anubis.[Author ID256: at ]

/Yami! What has happened?/ Saya asked, not sure if the armor's spirit could hear her. Ojo and Shinu had explained bits and pieces of her armor's powers and she knew that eventually she would be able to mentally communicate with the yorois' spirits but she wasn't sure if she could yet. So far Ojo had been the one to talk to the armors through her. /Yami, where are the other-/ Saya stopped short as she was engulfed in darkness. She instantly found her self before the barrier that lead to the Youja Kai. Beyond the unseen barrier she could see the three other yorois' auras, but there was something wrong. Their normally bright auras were cloud by a thick gray mist. The mist engulfed the auras directing them.[Author ID2304: at ]

Her examination was cut short as a low growl filled the darkness around her. Saya pulled back from the barrier looking around as the darkness grew thicker.[Author ID512: at ]

^Saya, it's Anubis,^ Shinu warned as the low growl turned into a fearsome bark. Saya spun around, ^Leave, hurry!^ [Author ID512: at ]

Saya nodded as the barks multiplied, burning red eye peering at her through the darkness. Closing her eyes Saya yanked her mind back from Anubis's. Blinking she found herself back in the yard worried eyes focused on her.[Author ID768: at ]

"I'm fine," Saya responded to their unspoken question as she looked back down at the masho. [Author ID512: at ]

"These cut look like Naaza's," Ryo commented as the back slider door was thrown open. Saya glanced back to see the other troopers and Nasty racing from the house. Nasty stopped short when she caught sight of the masho while the other three continued toward them.[Author ID1024: at ]

Saya rebalanced her self and started to stand when Anubis's hand shot out snagging her wrist. Instantly the two swordsmen reacted, their swords swinging down blades centimeter from the masho's neck.[Author ID768: at ]

"Wait," Saya breathed as she noticed that his eyes were still closed, eyelids flickering.[Author ID512: at ]

"He's dreaming," Shin whispered.[Author ID256: at ]

"Who gives a shit!" Shu bellowed already in his sub armor reaching down for her hand when Anubis's eyes shot open. The emotion she saw in his express shocked her as he released her hand. She tried to stand only to fall backward on her butt. The masho's face shift changing from shock and fear to anger as his eyes narrowed on the swords at his throat. [Author ID1280: at ]

"Where am I?"[Author ID256: at ]

"Dude, stupid question!" Shu snapped back, as Saya pulled her self to her feet. The masho of Yami growled before speaking again.[Author ID512: at ]

"How did I get here?"[Author ID256: at ]

"That's what we'd like to know," Ryo responded his hands tightening around the hilt of his swords.[Author ID512: at ]

"You mean you didn't teleport here?" Shin asked surprise evident in his voice.[Author ID256: at ]

"Why the fuck would I!?" Anubis snarled.[Author ID256: at ]

"Well we sure as hell didn't. What's the last thing you remember," Touma asked his wryness forgotten as the mystery of Yami appearance grew. The masho was silent either he didn't remember or he didn't want to tell.[Author ID768: at ]

"The other mashos did this didn't they?" The warrior only grunt at Saya comment. [Author ID512: at ]

"What do you mean?" Touma asked, looking from the warrior on the ground to her.[Author ID512: at ]

"I saw it… something, back in Tokyo. It was a dream like the ones I had while you guys were fighting Arago. I saw Gen's aura but it was being swallowed by a grey mist. He was in pain. And then just now I saw them in Youja Kai. Their auras have been corrupted somehow?" Saya explained slowly trying to remember what she had seen.[Author ID1024: at ]

"If that's so then perhaps they are being possessed."[Author ID256: at ]

"Possessed, but Touma by whom,"[Author ID256: at ]

"Lady Kayura!" Came the direct answer, jiggling of the monk's staff signaling his arrival with the white tiger at his side.[Author ID512: at ]

"I was wondering where he went," Seiji muttered before his eyes returned to Yami.[Author ID512: at ]

"Kayura?" Ryo repeated suspiciously.[Author ID256: at ]

"But the mashos follow her why would she possess them?" Touma asked. "and better yet how?"[Author ID512: at ]

"With the help of a spirit locked away since before Arago's rule," Kaos answered as he continued toward them.[Author ID512: at ]

"A spirit!" Saya whispered her mind going back to what she'd saw.[Author ID256: at ]

"But why would Kayura want them possessed?" Shin re-asked Touma's question. [Author ID256: at ]

"Because we were planning on leaving Kayura," the masho admitted. "Could you please remove your blades?" The Ryo and Seiji looked at each other before pulling back so that the masho could sit up. [Author ID768: at ]

"Leaving Kayura! But…"[Author ID256: at ]

"You brought me here, didn't you?" Anubis snarled as the troopers parted for Kaos.[Author ID512: at ]

"Yes, it would not due to have you possessed as well Yami no Anubis."[Author ID256: at ]

"Why didn't you help the others?" the masho asked blood oozing from the wounds he received.[Author ID512: at ]

"I did what I could."[Author ID256: at ]

"Useless as usual." Anubis start to stand and instantly the trooper took defense stances. "Relax brats, I'm going back to Youja Kai."[Author ID512: at ]

"No you must not, Yami no Anubis. You are not strong even to battle against all the forces Kayura has gathered. I have brought here to await the coming battle."[Author ID512: at ]

"I will do no such thing, I am returning."[Author ID256: at ]

"And what will you do when your return? You can't honestly think that you'll be able to rescue your fellow mashos," Kaos continued when he didn't get answer. "I have brought you here because you will need the troopers help."[Author ID768: at ]

"Hey! Hold on a minute Kaos," Ryo jumped in.[Author ID256: at ]

"You can't expect us to help him," Shu added. The monk watched the troopers before motioning for Anubis. The masho hesitated before moving toward the taller man white haired man.[Author ID768: at ]

"I will not force you to aid in this matter," Kaos said as he turned from them, "but refusing will not save you from the battle that is to come."[Author ID512: at ]

Saya felt the energy vibrations that she had come to associate with telepathy buzzing around her before Ryo called, "We not afraid Kaos, we simply don't understand what going on."[Author ID768: at ]

"Not that that has stopped us before," Shin muttered gain a few sideways glances.[Author ID256: at ]

"I'm afraid I can give you no more answers," the monk responded.[Author ID256: at ]

"But that doesn't mean you don't have them, does it?" The man only glanced back at the archer before continuing toward the forest Yami and Byakuen on opposite sides of him.[Author ID768: at ]

"This is get too damn complicated, Shu?"[Author ID256: at ]

"So what do we do?" Seiji asked.[Author ID256: at ]

"The only thing we can do?" Touma scowled at the back of the monk.[Author ID256: at ]

"NO! Not waiting! I hate waiting!" Shu wailed throwing his hand up to the sky.[Author ID256: at ]

"We have no choice," Ryo sighed. [Author ID256: at ]

Saya looked at the ebony haired leader before looking back to the three distant figures. They stopped Anubis dropping into a sitting position at the edge of the forest his body fading into the trees' shadows. [Author ID768: at ]

/Yami?/[Author ID256: at ]

^He is not ready,^ the eerie voice of Yami responded.[Author ID256: at ]

/Not ready…/ [Author ID256: at ]

^He is not ready.^ [Author ID256: at ]

/Not ready… to be judged?/ Saya brow wrinkled as the armor of Yami continued to repeat that single phrase. [Author ID512: at ]

"Hey!" Shu called from behind her his arm wrapped around her shoulder. "What's the matter?"[Author ID512: at ]

"What?" Saya looked up at him trying to clear her head.[Author ID256: at ]

"Are you worried about him?" Shu continued as the others attention fell on her.[Author ID256: at ]

"A little, but not for the same reason you're thinking. It just… I don't know." [Author ID256: at ]

"What is it?" Touma was now in front of her. Saya looked passed him to Yami.[Author ID256: at ]

"I don't know." She finally admitted with a sighed.[Author ID256: at ]

"Well we're done for now. Touma why don't you take over now? It will be dark soon anyway. And after dinner Shu and Shin will work on your defense," Ryo instructed.[Author ID512: at ]

The group nodded as Touma took Saya's hand leading her back into the house.[Author ID256: at ]

^I'll see if I can figure out what's bothering her,^ Touma called.[Author ID256: at ]

^It's probably back lash from her battle with Shuten," Shin suggested. They had talked about the battle back at Saya's apartment over breakfast. She had basically just told what happened, nothing more, nothing less, but Shin could tell she was keeping things from them. /Just what this group needs another loner./ Shin glanced over a Seiji who was staring back toward the forest. Shin looked around at the remaining warriors and Nasty. [Author ID256: at ]

"I'm going back in to finished dinner." [Author ID256: at ]

"I'll help, Shin!" Shu suddenly exclaimed. [Author ID256: at ]

"Oh no, you stay put, I'm making spaghetti tonight and no matter what you promise, can never stop yourself from eat all the noodles."[Author ID512: at ]

"That's cause their so-. I mean no I won't."[Author ID256: at ]

"Yes you will, why don't you stay out here and help keep an eye on our newest arrival," Shin said quickly as he retreated to the house. [Author ID512: at ]

"Oh fine." Shu grumbled.[Author ID256: at ]

Lord Kenbukyou strolled through the camp. He knew that in second now Kayura would appear. He had sensed his brother's power and Anubis's disappearance. Smiling to himself he realized that things were going just as they should. Soon all the pawns would be in their places and Youja Kai would belong to him. /Though I will miss you my dear Kou-kun and you too Kokuen-ko./ The lord glanced down at the dark grey tiger. The tiger of course had no idea what his master was planning and Kenbukyou wanted to keep it that way. He'd never understand his master motives. /But it has to happen./[Author ID1792: at ]

"Lord Kenbukyou!" Kayura pissed voice came from around the corner. Kenbukyou stopped and waited the dark priestess to rounded the corner her three masho and one spirit trailing behind.[Author ID768: at ]

/There he is, Arbinary./ Kenbukyou was thankful for the mask on his helmet as a smirk spread across his face. /Now that I know who you are…/ The lord contemplated striking the spirit right there but then he have Kayura to content with beside he was quite sure that the spirit he saw was only a shadow of the really spirit who was most likely hiding inside Kayura.[Author ID1280: at ]

"Prepare your warriors we leave for Ningen Sekai."[Author ID256: at ]

The masho of darkness watched as the youngsters separated a couple going inside while Korin, Rekka and Konga stayed. /Keeping an eye on me. Good it would be foolish not to./ Anubis cast a glance at Kaos and Byakuen. Closing his eyes Anubis could see this same scene only hundreds of years ago. /Back when my hands were not coated in blood./ Despite everything though Anubis did want to go back to that time. /I was far too naïve./ [Author ID1280: at ]

His eyes reopened landing upon the trooper of light. His hair being jostled by the winds as the tree shivered much like the man hidden within their shadows. /What would I give to run my hand through your mane? Everything…I would do anything to have you and yet I refuse to take you. How the hell did this happen? And why did I let it continue?/ Anubis sighed his confusion about the bearer of Korin rising to the surface. [Author ID1280: at ]

"Yet you can not stop." Anubis nodded sadly. Much to the masho surprise he heard the monk laugh. Not a mocking laugh nor a humorless one just a simple laugh. [Author ID512: at ]

"Do not worry about it. Such things happen to us all. My brother is proof of that. You can not help who your heart yearns for."[Author ID512: at ]

/My… my heart or my groin./ Anubis looked back up to the troopers Kongo and Rekka sparring as Korin looked on. Slowly the blonde head turned toward him.[Author ID512: at ]

/Frightening and yet reassuring the eyes of lavender. My salvation and my damnation all in one. That is what you are going to be to me Korin. I can sense it… Seiji./[Author ID512: at ]

Touma watched as Saya gripped the weight her arm tightening as she lifted it. [Author ID256: at ]

Touma wasn't really concerned about Saya`s health, she was an athlete. She play basket ball on the variety team, took Tae kwon do and karate for over three years and sprinted for the track team. She was simply needed to learn technique and what better teachers then Ryo and Seiji. This time was more a chance for Touma to try to figure out what was going on in her head. Saya tended to keep her problems to herself, not wanting to bother others. Not for the same reason Touma did though. Touma didn't want to be a burden so he kept things to himself were as Saya kept things to herself because she did wanted to figure things out on her own. She was independent to a fault refusing help even when it was obvious she needed it. /The both of us has such complicated past./ Touma had been rescued from his father and mother by the Fauns and Saya had lost her father and mother and after that she abandoned the family she had left choosing to go life alone. "So," Saya began as she tested the free weight. "What were you thinking about?"[Author ID256: at ]

"Sure." Saya answered as she finished another set.[Author ID256: at ]

"Is it Anubis?"[Author ID256: at ]

"Maybe." Touma stared at her.[Author ID256: at ]

"What I said you could guess I didn't say I'd answer."[Author ID256: at ]

"Brat." Saya smirked at the archer tease.[Author ID256: at ]

"Yeah well, just let me figure this out and then I'll tell you what's wrong. Right now there are a million thoughts spinning around in here," She tapped her head. "And none of it is making any sense."[Author ID768: at ]

"Then let me help," Touma said sitting down next to her. Saya sighed reaching for the bar, but Touma caught her wrist. "Let me help, you sort it out." She looked into his eyes her brown ones clouding before she shook her head.[Author ID768: at ]

"I don't even know where to begin."[Author ID256: at ]

"Just start talking."[Author ID256: at ]

"Fine," There was a pause as she closed her eyes. Touma could see her mind working as her eyes flicked under their lids. [Author ID512: at ]

"It's Shuten, I can't figure out what happened. I lost controlled of the armor and Shinu was going to kill him and I remember thinking `good, he deserves it', but at the same time I was screaming for Shinu to stop. And then I finally regained control… It like my mind was being pulled in three different directions. But that's it, isn't it. My bodies not entirely mine. Shinu and Ojo's are a part of me. It is so damned confusing, but at the same time I can feel them, conforming to my mind. Ojo keeps saying that soon will be one, but I'm worried that as we become one I'll lose myself to them. Especial Shinu! He scares me. I can feel the blood that coats his spirit and I can't help feeling it going to rub off on me. I'm rambling," she stopped suddenly her eyes opening.[Author ID2304: at ]

"Saya," he wrapped his arm around her pulling her closer as he kissed her temple. "You're too strong will to let anyone or thing control you of that I'm sure." Saya looked up from her feet her eyes focusing on his face her eyes searching. Before her head tilted toward his lips puckered and instantly Touma took what was offered him. Tongue slipped passed lips exploring slowly before pulling back. Touma eyes opened to grin down at a blushing chibi like face. "Oww Touma, let g-" Touma slipped down cutting off her whine as he pulled her closer tilt she was sitting on his lap. /This is nice./ She kissed back grasping his collar. [Author ID512: at ]

"You kidding? We work on my french?" She said innocently batting her eyelashes.[Author ID512: at ]

"Your french! Is that the best you can come up with?" He laughed as he flipped his bangs from his forehead only to have the return instantly.[Author ID512: at ]

"On sure short notice yes, but give me a minute and maybe-"[Author ID256: at ]

"Sorry no can do, babe," Touma replied quickly as he lowered his lips seizing hers again. [Author ID512: at ]

The group ate nosily noodle covered in delicious red sauce slipping passed lips as Seiji looked on. He could vaguely hear Shu teasing Saya and Touma after he caught the two of the `making out' down in basement. /Don't think about it./ Seiji was still having trouble dealing with what he caught the two of doing in Saya's room. /Stop it, it was just kissing for god sakes. They are dating and…/ But that was just it he didn't want them to be `dating'. He didn't want Touma to be with anyone other them himself. Seiji glanced back toward the forest's edge just making out the figure of Yami and Kaos. His form hidden in the shadows that were quickly lengthening, swallowing the day. Seiji felt a shiver pass over him as his eyes brushed over the masho's outline. [Author ID2304: at ]

"Seiji will you give it a rest," Shu blurred, snapping Seiji stare. The blonde turned and gave Shu his best `leave me the hell alone' look before turning back to the window.[Author ID512: at ]

"Relax Seiji I doubt old wolf breathe will do anything with Kaos out there," Ryo said walking over to the light trooper.[Author ID512: at ]

"I know, but it's just unnerving having him so close," Seiji sighed looking back at Ryo and beyond him Touma and Saya sitting side by side. /Besides it take my mind off those two./ [Author ID768: at ]

"Yeah especial with the way he obsess over killing you," Shu grabbled out receive a quick punch in the arm from Touma while Nasty pinched him other arm. "Oww!"[Author ID768: at ]

"He is rather obsessed instead he, but right now I think he has other, more important things on his mind," Shin added.[Author ID512: at ]

"Yeah I don't know if their bond as strong as yours but something tells me that Anubis is pretty upset over what's happened to the other mashos," Nasty commented, receiving nods from some of those in the room. [Author ID768: at ]

"Especial since they were betrayed by someone they trusted," Ryo said.[Author ID256: at ]

"That was just stupid of them, Kayura about a trust worth as a pet scorpion."[Author ID256: at ]

"I don't know Shu, something about that seems wrong." Shin brow wrinkled as he stuffed some bread into his mouth.[Author ID512: at ]

"I don't know," Shin said swallowing, "It just don't see it."[Author ID256: at ]

"You heard Anubis they were planning to leave her," Touma reminded him.[Author ID256: at ]

"That's right and Kayura had a fit and possessed them," Shu nodded.[Author ID256: at ]

"But that's bring us a whole knew question," Touma started. [Author ID256: at ]

"Who's this spirit Kaos said is helping her." Ryo said talking a seat on the kitchen table.[Author ID512: at ]

"It's not a Nether spirit," Saya added, her voice certain.[Author ID256: at ]

The outside flood light clicked on lighting up the backyard. Shu stood up shoving the last of his noodles in his mouth as he did. Swallowing in one big gulp he hit his chest help the food go down before turn to the girl.[Author ID768: at ]

"God Shu, next time just us a blender," Shin grumbled at the way Shu stuffed his food down without even tasting it.[Author ID512: at ]

"In some county belching is considered a complement," Shu defended his bodily functions.[Author ID512: at ]

"Whoa! Shin!" Anubis looked back up to the deck to see the girl, Saya, Tenku and… /Korin…/ The blonde looked up from the tumbling duo to stare straight at Anubis, navy eyes meeting lavender. A black void rose from the ground under the girl welling up around her before rush into the sky. A second later the black energy dropped upon the girl covering her is sharp black armor. Etchings on the armor catching the flood lights as she reached behind her pulling the bow from her back as Konga charged. The girl hopped backward as Kongo swung his staff at her. "Saya stop!" Saya kept dodging even as Suiko snuck around behind her. Saya ducked another of Kongo attacks as she back up right into Suiko. "Ah! My dear, Yami I'm glad to see you again," Kayura called as the horrid of monsters stopped behind her. Yami glanced around the field to see the other two masho's already engaging the troopers.[Author ID768: at ]

"You bitch! Stop this! Release them!" Anubis yelled trying to keep an eye on Rajura who was preparing for another attack.[Author ID512: at ]

"I think not! And soon you and the troopers will be joining them." She laughed as Kenbukyou emerged from the darkness. [Author ID512: at ]

He glanced over at Anubis his eyes sharp as the flood lights cast an unnatural glow across his armor. [Author ID512: at ]

The lord raised his hand and instantly Anubis was reminded of Rajura. Spinning he caught Gen's blades across the chest. He flew back impact of the ground before skidding a few yards.[Author ID768: at ]

Pulling himself to his feet he saw Rajura charging, his lifeless eye locked with Anubis.[Author ID512: at ]

Suddenly Rajura was clobbered from the side by an orange blur.[Author ID256: at ]

The lord of the east watched Kayura headed into the battle. Smiling as he sensed his brother appearance behind him.[Author ID512: at ]

"He will be very upset when he finds that you have left him here," Kaos said sounding almost sad.[Author ID512: at ]

"Yes, I thank you for this Kenbukyou."[Author ID256: at ]

"Thank me, my dear brother are you getting sentimental on me?" Kaos was silent for a long moment the sound of battle filling the void.[Author ID512: at ]

"Once the realm is seal, you will not be able to open it again. Ningen Sekai and Youja Kai will finally be separated."[Author ID512: at ]

"As it should be. Rest assured you are leaving Youja Kai in very good hands," the lord smirked.[Author ID512: at ]

Sighing Kenbukyou waved his hand signaling for his warriors to return to Youja Kai. [Author ID512: at ]

"Oni no Shuten!" The masho spun to her as she crossed her swords in front of her, like Ryo had taught her. "What has happened to you?"[Author ID512: at ]

"Saya! What the fuck are you doing?!" Ryo shouted as Shuten pulled back his blade flinging it toward the girl. Saya eyes flew opened as she blocked with one sword spinning out of the way before sprinting toward the masho. Ducking under the chain as it was swung toward her. "Oni," she mouthed as the two pressed against each other. "You're trapped!" Saya gasped as Oni shoved her backward yanking his sickle back into his hand. Ryo, tired of watching attacked Shuten's back. Shuten spun blocking Ryo's right sword as the left cut toward his mid-section. The blade cut into the demon armor, but not through it. Ryo was mildly surprised not to hear so much as grunt from the masho as he tumbled to the side from the force of Ryo's attack.[Author ID1536: at ]

"What the hell was that?!" He snapped his worry getting the best of him.[Author ID256: at ]

"No it's more then that, Ryo this is complete different from Arago, their not being controlled through their armors but through their bearer. In fact the spirit that controlling them has locked the armors' spirits away."[Author ID768: at ]

"Koraisen!" Ryo and Saya's eyes flew back to Shuten as he spun his gama kusai before thrusting it into the earth.[Author ID512: at ]
