Chapter 13: Realizations

Patients bustled in and out of the public section of Minatoku hospital, a large contrast to the private wing of the hospital where all is calm and quiet, that is until a stretcher is wheeled into the private wing with orderlies yelling instructions while a young woman holds a bag up in the air with a tube leading down to a young man's arm which is covered in blood.
Dr. Haruki, head of the hospitals surgeons comes running out of his office to see what the fuse is all about, but stops dead in his tracks when he sees the blonde haired youth on the stretcher. He points to a nurse and tells her to ready one of the operating rooms, but is told that another surgeon is on his way, the doctor shakes his head and tells the nurse to have someone call that doctor because he was taking on this patient then told her that if the doctor said anything about this that he could file an official report against him later and with that he's gone to be prepped for surgery.
The young nurse blinks for a moment before scurrying off to do what the doctor told her too.
In the waiting room area of the hospital the doors burst open with a young man and several females following behind him. He stops and looks around before marching up to the nurse's station and slams his hand down onto the counter in a fit of impatience.
“Where is Nate Tsukino? How is he doing? What's going on?” The young man barks at a young, brunette nurse that currently has a look on her face that says she'd rather be anywhere else right now.
“He's in the operating room right now. Dr. Haruki is working on him right now. As far as I know, he's listed as being in critical condition right now,” the nurse states while blanching at the intense look on the shaggy, blondes face. “I'm sure that he'll be with you as soon as he can. Please take a seat until then.”
Haruka lets out a soft growl before she walks over to a vacant chair that's next to Michiru and sits down in it while Michiru places a comforting hand on her fiancé's shoulder and looks over at the other girls with a worried expression on her face which matches the other girls.
“I shouldn't have brought, Usa with us,” Haruka states before placing her face in her hands and lets out a deep sigh.
“It's not your fault, Ruka. You didn't know that this was going to happen. None of us did,” Michiru states before wrapping her arms around the distressed woman beside her and leans her head against the other girls shoulder.
“Has anyone seen Rei? She should've been in the waiting room since she road with Nate to the emergency room,” Minako states after a while of silence and looks around the room for their raven haired friend.
“Come to think of it, we haven't heard from her since she ran into the spa's security room with Nate in her arms,” Makoto states while placing a finger against her lips in thought. “Maybe she went home to get washed up or something.”
The other's nod their heads in agreement before they fall back into a silent wait. Each of them wondering what was going to happen to Nate and where Rei had gone off too.
HR
In a wash room off from the waiting room a black haired girl stands looking in the mirror. Her eyes are blood shot and there are treks under her eyes from the tears that had been falling there recently. A blood covered hand reaches out to turn on the faucet before hands are scooped under the running water to splash on the girls face.
She pulls her hands away and looks down at the blood that is now running down the drain, turning the water to a reddish hue then she slowly slips down onto her knees and a keening wail breaks the silence of the room.
`That could've been me! That should've been me! But it was Nate instead. Why did he do that? I thought he hated me!' The same thoughts turn over and over again in the raven haired girls head.
So caught up is she in her thoughts that she doesn't hear the door to the bathroom open and someone slip instead before stopping with a gasp.
Makoto stares at the blood covered Rei who is currently sitting on the floor crying, with her face buried in her arms. She walks quickly over to the girl and kneels down beside her before pulling the distressed girl into her arms. At first Rei fights against the person, but then relaxes when she hears Makoto's caring voice whispering in her ear.
The young girl buries her face into Makoto's shoulder and cries while whispering the questions that have been plaguing her mind ever since the shooting. So soft are her words that Makoto doesn't even realize that the young Miko is talking.
Sometime of sitting on the floor, Rei's tears die down to where she hiccupping slightly. She pulls away from Makoto's shoulder and takes the offered handkerchief that her friend produces so that she can wipe her face. Rei lets out a soft sigh and stares at the wadded up cloth in her hands before turning her head up to look Makoto in the eyes only to see that her friend had been crying as well.
“Why did he do it?” She whispers before looking down at the handkerchief that she's wringing in her hands.
“Why did he do what?” Makoto asks with a look of confusion her face not knowing what her friend is talking about. All she knew was that Usagi had been shot and Rei had carried her to get help for the injured youth. She didn't know who shot her or why, but she had a feeling that it had something to do with Rei.
“Mamoru cornered me when I went outside to get some fresh air. I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd go for a walk. I figured I would be safe since we were at the spa, but he was there. He wanted to talk to me about something, but the look in his eyes and the feel of his aura made me run. I got to the edge of the spa where the koi pond is and I tripped. He was on me in an instant and had me by the arms shaking me, telling me that I had to get close to Nate, because I would be Nate's downfall. I didn't know what he was talking about and I told him so. I told him that Nate hated me, but he replied that Nate had saved me from the flock of girls the other day so that meant he respected me. He then threatened me by saying that he would send his goons after me and they would do alot more then just rough me up a bit. I've never been so scared in my life and the look in his eyes where manically, but then we were falling to the ground and when I looked up there stood Nate-san and boy did he look pissed. I could tell from the look on his face and the tone of his voice, but there he was and it really surprised me. I couldn't believe that he would come to my rescue twice in one week. Anyway, Nate-san motioned me to get behind him and that's when Mamoru pulled a gun and shot him. He was going to knock him out with the side of his gun and I couldn't have that so I found a branch that was laying an inch from me, picked it up and bashed Mamoru across the side of the head. After that I picked up Nate-san, boy is he light, and took off to find some help. The rest you know,” Rei explains while tears begin to run down her cheeks once again. “I thought he hated me. Why did he come to my rescue again?”
Makoto pulls her friend into another hug and strokes the back of her head while placing her cheek on top of it. “Because, when you think about it, Rei, he doesn't really hate you. You just sort of annoy him, but that's to be expected. You two didn't meet under normal circumstances and it's what makes you two get into fights like you do, but I can tell you this, Nate is a very honorable man. If he saw that you were in trouble he'd come to your rescue no matter what. That's just who he is. Hell, I'll bet that even if Mamoru was in some grave danger he'd help him out, though it would take him longer to actually do that, but he would. It's because he has a sense of integrity that none of us has ever seen before and that's what makes him so special to everyone that he meets. It's also why he's my best friend and I'll stay by him no matter what.”
Rei looks up at Makoto and leans her head to the side for a moment. “Do you love him?”
“Yes, I do. He's the brother I always wanted, but never could have. That's why he's so special to me,” Makoto whispers softly while looking down at Rei's tear stained face. “It's why I don't like seeing you two get into fights, because while he's my brother, you're my sister and I love you both equally.”
Rei nods her head coming to an understanding. It's because of the love that Makoto has for the two is why she's always trying to break their fights up and why she will never side with either her or Nate. `And I suppose that anyone that would do something like for someone like me, isn't all that bad to begin with,' Rei thinks before she's helped up to her feet by Makoto.
“Come on. Let's get you cleaned up and out of this bathroom before everyone thinks I fell in or something,” Makoto states trying to cheer up her melancholy friend.
Rei offers her friend a small smile before they begin the process of getting rid of the blood that's on her skin and hair before they walk out of the bathroom together and towards their friends that are waiting for news on the young blonde's condition.

The night wears on, with the girls sitting in very uncomfortable waiting room chairs. Every once in a while, Haruka would get up and begin to pace, much to the annoyance to the other girls in the room, but none of them state what is on their minds after the last outburst from Haruka when a nurse tried to get them all to go home and wait for the doctor to call them.
Usa's father and grandfather had arrived sometime in the night, but no one could remember when. There was much hugging amongst the group before they all sit down in silence once again to wait for the arrival of the surgeon. Each of the girls is lost within their own thoughts when Michiru offers to go down to the cafeteria to grab something to drink for them all. They tell her what they want before she bodily drags the pacing Ruka from the room stating that the doctor probably won't come while they are gone and if he does then she was sure someone would come get them.
The girls nod their heads and only after stating that they would come running did Ruka go off with Michiru to get coffees, teas and a soda for the group. Once the couple has left the waiting room, Rei gets up from her chair and goes over to a window to stare outside at the early morning light that is starting to light up the outside world. She leans her forehead against the chilly window glass and closes her eyes against the fatigue that is overcoming her body. She stands like that for sometime until she feels an arm placed around her shoulders. She looks up to see, Ruka standing beside her and blinks her eyes in shock.
“In all of the rush to get here, I don't think that I got the chance to thank you for getting Nate to safety as quick as you could,” the young man states roughly while staring outside for a moment then looks down at the girl beside him. “I know my nephew really well. I've lived with him most of his life and for him to throw himself into a situation that might become deadly says something, but I wont tell you what that something is. What I can tell you though. Is that, you should give him a chance. He just might surprise you.”
Rei nods her head dumbfounded for a moment before being pulled into a soft hug that's quick, but for some reason, it means the world to her.
HR
Dr. Haruki, let's out a soft sigh while he scrubs himself down before walking beside his patient to her room. Once inside the room he stands beside the bed in his pale green scrubs and jots several notes down onto a small clipboard. Checking the morphine drip and the patients pulse, he adds several more sentences until he's satisfied with his work. Handing the clipboard to a nurse, he is given some time alone with his young charge.
The doctor takes off his glasses wiping the excess water from his eyes. It pained him to see the girl in such a state. After a few moments of quiet contemplation, he leans down and places a tender kiss on his patient's head before finally leaving. Closing one door and opening another, he enters the private waiting room, where a group of people are gathered. Being a personal friend and their family physician, he was well acquainted with almost all of them in the room. Anyone who needed medical attention had come straight to him and the hospital was partly funded by the family in exchange for it, though he had often stated it unnecessary despite relying heavily on the funds given. His eyes settled on a face he hadn't seen in quite some time.
Usagi's father walks over to the man and grasps his hand in a firm hand shake, but is pulled into a hug by his long time friend. They stand there for some time before the other man takes a step back.
“How is he?”
Dr. Haruki looks around at the anxious faces that are staring his way.
“He's damn lucky. The bullet didn't hit anything vital. There was some internal bleeding, but we got that under control. The bullet passed cleanly and other then a lower cracked rib from where the bullet had grazed it, he's going to be fine, but he's still very lucky. Another inch to the right and the bullet would've shattered his spinal cord. Right now he's resting and is under some heavy medication for the pain.”
Sighs of relief are heard while the group leans on each other, happy that it wasn't worse then it could've been.
“Can we see him?” Haruka asks with an anxious look on her face.
Dr. Haruki shakes his head. “Not right at the moment. He's still heavily sedated and won't be awake anytime soon, but then I'll let you all go in. Though it's going to have to be two at a time and if he shows any signs of fatigue then the visitors will have to leave.”
Everyone nods their heads in understanding before allowing the doctor and Usa's father talk quietly while the other drift off to get something to eat, go to the bathroom or just walk with anyone that's going somewhere to get the feeling back into their legs after sitting for so long.
“How bad is it really?” Usa's father asks and watches as Dr. Haruki lets out a soft sigh.
“She's really lucky, though she may not feel it at the moment. But if it wasn't for her martial arts training and her strong bones, she would be a mess right now. The gun shot was quite severe and there's deep internal bruising around the bullet wound. I would estimate that it would take a couple of months to heal properly. Once the muscles have healed and the inflammation has come down then we can begin some physiotherapy.”
The doctor pauses.
“I'm more worried about the psychological damage. Often victims of attacks become fearful, isolated, angry or despondent. Usagi may need therapy to heal correctly.”
The older man lets out a sigh and nods his head before looking up at his long time friend. “Who would do something like this?”
The doctor shakes his head. “Someone that's really desperate to hurt your daughter, my friend and I think you already know who that is.”
Hiro nods his head and grinds his teeth. “Yes, I think I already know whom and all I need to do is ask the person that brought my daughter to safety. Will you excuse me for a moment, Ruyji? There's someone I need to talk to.”
Ruyji nods his head and watches his friend walk off towards the cafeteria where they had seen Makoto, Rei and Minako walk off to. `May the Kami have mercy on the soul of whoever did this, because there's going to be hell to pay,' the doctor thinks to himself before he walks off out of the private waiting room and towards his patient's room.

After finding out that Usagi was alright people begin to trickle out of the hospital to go take a shower, get some sleep or to get something better then the hospital food to eat. Hiro had cornered Rei and asked her calmly if she knew who had shot Nate. Rei had nodded her head and told the boys father about what had conspired at the spa. Hiro then thanked Rei profusely for helping his son, going so far, as to hug her tightly against him before he turns on his heel and makes his way towards where his father is currently standing. They speak in low tones before they walk out of the cafeteria. Rei furrows her brows together, but just shrugs her shoulders and accepts Minako's offer to take her home so that she can get a shower and a change of cloths. Rei makes Minako promise that she'll bring her right back to the hospital once she's done. Minako smiles and nods her head before they troop out of the hospital.

At the mansion, Shinzu is waiting impatiently for her family to return so that she can find out how her idol is doing. She was dropped off the night before at the mansion with Haruka stating that she would be bored if she went with them to the hospital. She would have put up a fuss, but the stern look on Haruka's face told her other wise and she complied with the wishes of her aunt before being ushered away by a grave looking Luna who offered to make cookies with her since she refused to go to bed.
The young girl had fallen asleep at the counter while waiting for Luna to start wiping up the next batch of cookies and with the help of Artemis the two got the girl ready for bed and under the covers before she could wake up.
Hiro had given the two of them the night off, but they stubbornly wouldn't leave until they knew the condition Usagi was in. With Luna going as far as telling the master of the house that they were beyond the point where the two of them considered them as employers, but more along the lines of family and she would be damned is she was going to leave when the girl she thought of as a daughter was in the hospital with a bullet wound.
Hiro and his father looked over at Artemis who had nodded his head in agreement with Luna and crossed his arms over his chest in a quiet gesture of resilience before looking around to the rest of the staff who nod their heads in agreement with Luna as well before the shell shocked man lets out a sigh and tells them that they would call as soon as they heard anything before leaving the mansion in the capable hands of the ever stubborn Luna.
Luna was currently sitting beside the just woken up Shinzu when the family burst through the doors of the mansion. Each one of them looking like hell warmed over several times. The head maid sent the other maids scurrying around when she saw the state of her charges and led them into the kitchen for coffee and whatever else they wanted.
Haruka and Michiru sit down at the table while Hiro tells Luna that he'll take his coffee in the study because he and his father had some business to attend too and that she should come into the study within a couple of minutes so that he can update the head maid on the condition of his daughter.
Once he's gone the door bursts open and standing in the doorway is Nanami with a furious look on her face.
“What's going on? What happened?” She spurts out while walking through the house and towards the kitchen where a tired Haruka and Michiru sit. “I got your call and got here as soon as I could. How is she?”
“A lot better then we thought she was going to be,” Haruka states while rubbing her face with a hand and lets out a sigh. “We're going back to the hospital as soon as we get something to eat and a quick shower.”
“I still think that you should sleep, but I understand why you aren't,” Luna states from where she is standing behind a counter while pouring tea for Michiru and coffee for everyone else.
“Hotaru said the same thing, but then she won't stay and sleep either, so why should any of us?” Haruka asks before yawning. “She's in the shower right now then she's going to explain to Shinzu how Usa's doing. I really don't want to be in that situation. Sit down, Nanami and we'll explain what we know right now.”
HR
“But why can't I see her?”
“Because, Shin, she's very hurt right now and they aren't allowing visitors at the moment,” Hotaru states while rubbing her face then runs her fingers through her still damp hair.
“But everyone else is going back to the hospital so why can't I?” Shin asks with a pout on her face and her arms crossed over her chest.
“Well that's because all we'll be doing is sitting around waiting for her to wake up. You'll be bored because you won't have anything to do and you don't want to upset Usagi do you?” Hotaru asks before biting her lip to keep back a sob at the though of Usagi lying in bed with a bunch of things hooked up to her.
“Yeah, I guess you're right and I don't want Usa to be upset with me,” the girl states while Hotaru leans over to pinch the girl's nose gently. Shin chuckles and then begins to laugh when Hotaru playfully tickles her from behind hoping to distract her from the few tears that were currently slipping down her cheeks. After a few moments, she quickly wipes the tears away and pats the small girl who was still hunched over trying to catch her breath.
“Now finish your homework. I've got some work to do before we go back to the hospital,” Hotaru states her voice cracking slightly.
Her father was coming up the stairs when he sees Hotaru rushing out of Shinzu's room and shakes his head slightly before letting out a small sigh. `Always trying to be the strong one,' he thinks to himself before slowly making his way towards her room to speak to his daughter about everything that was happening and hopefully to reassure her as well. He may not have wanted daughters to begin with, but they were still his children and he loved them just the same.

Haruka stood looking out the window at nothing in particular while Michiru sat on the sofa in quiet contemplation. There was really nothing either of them could do and that was the biggest problem for Haruka. She felt like a failure since she had been unable to do anything for Usagi. She should have known better, she should have been more aware, after all she was the one that took Usagi there with her to begin with. Her green eyes narrowed as a ball of rage was building within her. She wanted to lash out, to strike down everything in her path and kill that bastard that had the nerve to even think about harming her niece in any way, shape or form. To rip him apart, gouge his eyes out and beat him till his very last breath. Such an animal didn't deserve a prison sentence or whatever crap her father and brother would dish out. No, he deserved death or torture for that matter.
“Haruka.”
Haruka turned and looks over at Nanami who stands ready to go out with her biker helmet in one hand. Nanami wears a black and white bandana on her head, with black leather gloves, a black biker jacket thrown over her left shoulder, jeans and boots. She looks as if she was ready for a fight instead of going to a hospital.
“Are you coming?” Nanami asks while inspecting one of her gloves before looking up at Haruka with a dark look in her eyes.
“Yeah, we're ready, but why are you dressed like that?” Haruka asks with an eyebrow raised at the woman standing in front of her.
“After I'm done at the hospital, I'm going to go and break into Chiba's place,” Nanami states as if it's the most natural thing in the world. Michiru's eyes pop out in disbelief. She looked at the actress wondering if she was joking, but found that she was being deadly serious.
“For what?”
Michiru turns to look at Haruka, who seems genuinely interested in what Nanami was proposing. Didn't they realize they were talking about doing something illegal, which meant trespassing on private property, breaking and entering; they could be arrested, tried and possibly even go to jail.
“To get to that bastard that shot, Usa, of course. I just so happened to over hear uncle in the study with Hiro. Chiba-baka states that his son was with him the entire night and that he wasn't anywhere near the spa.”
Haruka blinked at her oddball cousin wondering why she hadn't thought of that herself, before the rest of what her cousin had said absorbs into her mind and her eyes narrow dangerously.
“Sounds like a plan.”
Michiru got up quickly and was about to protest when another voice interrupted them.
“You will do no such thing.”
All eyes turn towards the doorway. Haruka frowns when she sees her father standing in door way, his impressive and imposing six foot four frame filling out the doorway. Despite the white crop of hair on his head, the man still possessed the stamina, build and energy of a twenty year old. Careful eating habits, discipline and plenty of exercise keeps him in optimum health. It looked as though he had just come from a meeting, because he was now dressed in a business suit. Sharp grey eyes looks down at Nanami and Haruka warily.
“Uncle?” Nanami questions not understanding the logic behind her Uncle's words.
“You heard me,” he states before turning around to leave only to stop when Haruka speaks.
“But you know what he did to her! And yet you are gong to do nothing?” Haruka asks sharply.
“I never said that I wasn't going to do nothing, Haruka. I'm just stopping you two from doing something foolish. I will take care of it because it's not your fight and that's all you need to know,” he states before leaving the three women in a state of shock.
The three women look at each other before letting out a sigh and shake their heads.
“Well, I suppose we should go get Hotaru and be on out way,” Haruka states her eyes still glinting dangerously at the words her father had told her.
“I'll go get her and we'll meet you in the car,” Nanami states before leaving the living room to get her younger cousin.
Michiru looks over towards Haruka before getting up from the sofa and takes her fiancé's hand within her own. “You know he's right. It would've been foolish for the two of you to go after Mamoru. He deserves everything he's going to get, but not at the expanse of the two of you going to jail as well.”
“Yeah, I know and I do understand his logic, but at the same time. I feel so helpless,” Haruka states in a sigh with her head lowered so that Michiru can't see a tear that slowly slips down the normally stoic girls face.
“I understand, Ruka, I truly do. I don't like sitting here doing nothing, but we have to let your father handle this one, because you know as I do, that he's the only one that can,” Michiru states while placing a hand on the other woman's cheek to bring her eyes up to where she can see them before she leans in to give the woman a kiss. “Everything will be alright.”
“I hope so, Michi. I really do,” Haruka states before the couple leave the living room and walk towards the car where they wait for Nanami to gather up Hotaru. Ami would've been coming with them, but there wasn't enough room and so she had already gone over there with Setsuna who felt guilty about not being in the waiting room earlier with them, but she was working at the time when the call came in from Haruka.
A couple of minutes later Nanami came out of the mansion with a sniffling Hotaru and helped her get into the car before the family made their way towards the hospital in hopes that Usagi had already woken up.

Rei sits in the waiting room, looking out the window at the sun slowly setting in the distance. The entire day they waited for Usagi to wake up, but so far she hadn't. The doctors were becoming increasingly worried as was the rest of the group. Though the doctors kept telling them that it was natural for the body to sleep in order to repair itself, but they look of worry in their eyes told a different story at least to Rei it did. She wasn't sure about everyone else.
Finally after some more waiting Dr. Haruki came rushing into the waiting room telling everyone that Usagi was finally awake and was currently drinking some water albeit slowly due to her injury, but she was awake. He then turned towards Rei and motioned for her to come with him. Slightly surprised Rei follows the doctor towards the room that is currently holding the injured boy and he opens the door for her before motioning for her to go in.
“He was asking about you,” the doctor states when he sees the look of shock on the girls face.
The girl nods her head before entering the room only to gasp when she sees the pale look on the boys face in the bed. She slowly makes her way into the room and sits down in a chair that's next to the bed and wrings her hands worrying about the boy in front of her.
The young boy cracks a small smile before trying to lift himself up higher on the bed, but winces in pain which spurs Rei into helping the injured boy before taking her seat once again.
Usagi lets out a sigh before turning her eyes towards Rei once again. “I wanted to thank you, Rei-chan, for your help the other night. The doctors have told me that if it wasn't for your quick thinking I might've been worse off then what I am.”
Rei winces at the rough voice that comes from the blonde youth and nods her head while biting her lip. “It's me who should be thanking you, Nate-san. If you hadn't come along,” she begins, but is stopped when the blonde raises a hand.
“Call me Nate, please. There's no need for formality when one saves my life,” Usagi states with a slightly smile on her face.
Rei chokes back a sob then nods her head. “I can that, but only if you'll do the honor of calling me, Rei. After all, you saved me first. If you hadn't come along, I don't know what, Mamoru would've done to me.”
Usagi waves a hand in front of her and lets out a rough chuckle. “It was nothing, Rei, really. I just came along at the right time, that's all.”
“No, it was more then that. You risked yourself to help me. You didn't have to, but you did,” Rei states before getting up from the chair then leans over to give the blonde haired youth a hug, but then pulls back in surprise only to cover it up with a shake of her head. “You seem like you're getting tired. I'll go get the doctor so that he can see if you are up for any more company. I thank you once again, Nate, for you're help.”
Usagi smiles at the girl before nodding her head then watches as Rei leaves the room to go find the doctor.
Once she's found him, he goes off towards Usagi's room to check up on her once again. Rei watches the doctor leave before making her way towards the waiting room where she informs them that the doctor is currently checking to make sure that his patient was alright with another visitor. Once she's finished telling them that she heads outside for some fresh air.
She stands beside the doors of the hospital, leaning her head against the wall and closes her eyes for a moment before sliding down the wall to sit on the concrete.
`Oh kami! Nate's a girl,' is her last thought before she passes out.

To Be Continued…
HR
To all of you that have reviewed the last chapter. I thank you! Now, you know the drill. Read and Review! I love reviews! Especially new ones! Lol.
HR
Angel: I'm glad that you thought the last chapter was worth the wait for! That's great to hear and I hope that you enjoy this new one! Cause I sure as heck enjoyed writing this one! Thank you for the review!
Riku: Awww. I'm sorry for making you die with out an update. I hope this one helps as well. I promise not to allow the world to come into play to much! Heh. As always it's great to get a review from you! Thank you!
meet-nightmist: Oh no! I didn't mean to make you panic! I hope you didn't think I was going to stop writing this one! I solemnly promise that I won't stop writing this unless something dire makes it so that I can't. lol. I know that Usagi being shot wasn't something anyone was expecting, but I always like putting an interesting twist on my stories that and it sort of set me up for the age old question. “When will Rei figure out that Nate is actually a girl?” lol. Now as for the other pairings question. That will be within the next couple of chapters. This one also helped set that up as well. Don't worry about Mamo-baka! He's going to get it this time for sure. Heh. I am so looking forward to writing that chapter! Thank you for the review and I hope that you enjoyed it!
Aleric: Yes, it has been a while since I updated this story. Sorry about the wait, but I'm still here! Yay! Lol.
Hmm. Yes, Mamo-baka just seems to show up at the wrong time and ruin everyone's plans. He's like a bad penny. Lol. He's an ass and I sort of like portraying him as one this time. It's so satisfying. Lol. Once I'm finished with him. He'll be wishing he was in the story Mamoru Must Die! Hehe.
Well I can't really answer the question if she'll be upset. You're going to have to read the next chapter, but I think I gave a pretty good indication on how she's dealing with it. Okay, so to answer the question about her remembering her past with Usagi, well that won't be for another chapter or so, first I have to get her to except the idea. Lol. She's so stubborn.
I'm going out on a limb here and thinking that maybe you might have meant Yomiko instead of Shinzu. Now as for that question well I never really thought about that. I hadn't thought about how I was going to explain the problems between the two, but you gave me an idea. Heh. Thank you! And once again, thank you for the review! I look forward to hearing from you again!
Stormforce: Before I begin, I'd like to thank you for your review for it gave me a lot to think about once again. So with that said lets get onto the answering! Lol.
Well Taru couldn't ask because she was with Rei and them so that would've been sort of weird plus she was involved in the scheme to get Rei and Usagi together so she was with the girls instead of with Haruka, Michiru, Shin and Usagi. As for Usagi not asking well I wouldn't want to ask either. Especially if it's with your weird aunt and her fiancé who knows what they would get into! Lol.
I'm not really sure what gave me the idea to use the American names. I was sort of racking my brains to figure out what to call them, when it just sort of came to me. Though using Hotaru's last name was because that is her last name, but I'm not using it in the story and Serena because that's Usagi's name in America. I do like the name Amara and figured that since Hotaru was adopted by Haruka and Michiru in the original version that it would be sort of cool to use that and I just like the name Ten'ou for some reason. Lol.
There is a reason that I had Haruka go over to the table, but that won't be revealed as of yet and what she said will be revealed as well. Sorry, but I really can't to into to much detail on that one. Lol. Other wise it'll give away the next part of the Matchmaking scheme. Heh.
Ahhh you are right! I can't answer those questions. All I can is that you are going to have to wait until Usagi recovers to see what's going to happen there! Lol.
Basically he was there to try and get Rei to do what he wanted which is pretty much to be Usagi's down fall. He's a creep and I sort of enjoy writing that he's a creep! Lol. I do intend to explain why he was there in possibly the next chapter and if not that one then the one right after. After all, he has to pay for what he did!
Well I hope that this chapter has answered those two questions. Lol. Yes, Usagi is alright and yes, Rei figures out that she's a girl. Dun dun dunnnnnnn! Lol.
I hope that the conversation I wrote between Makoto and Rei at the beginning answered the question as to how deeply Makoto feels for Usagi. I said that I would do that and there it was. It just came to me because it fits. Rei was asking why he helped her and Makoto just had to explain about Usagi's integrity. I couldn't have set that up any better then I did! Thanks for the idea!
Lol. I'm thinking that since it was all Haruka's idea that it was indeed her idea to have the wigs! Heh. Cause that's just the way Haruka is.
I'm so glad that you feel that way! I'm just happy that this story is such a big success. When I first started writing this I wasn't sure since it was loosely based after Lostraius's story. I had a feeling that it not possibly be well liked because of that, but wow have I been wrong! I'm having a blast writing this story and everyone's reviews are such an encouragement for me to write more! Thank you once again for the praise!
FeralDemonArtemis3.0: Your review was the first one I got and wow! That was some review! Lol. Yes, Usagi is going to come through. I couldn't kill off my main character now could I? lol. Now as for Rei saving Usagi, well what can I say? Heh. I just couldn't resist, because I have to stay true to her original character idea and though they fight I truly believe that she does feel something for Nate/Usagi even though she doesn't want to admit it.
I hope that the hint I gave you about her finding out was what you expected. I think you might be surprised about the next chapter, but I'm not giving out any more hints then that! Lol. Awwwww! You're making me blush! Lol. Thanks for the review! You rule as well!
Alright I think I've rambled enough. Lol. So enclosing of this very wonderful and tear jerking chapter, I'd like to take the time to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for reviewing this story! It means the world to me! Until next chapter!
