A/N: everyone knows progress takes time, so please give me some and I am sure this story will come to gather in time.

Chapter 3 The week before.

The train ride came soon enough for the five girls. Everyone had brought at lest two weeks supply of clothing, all except for Kayla. She had brought everything with her. She shighed sitting in her wheelchair on the loading platform being the first to have arrived. Rei was next up and gasped when she saw the amount of ludge being loaded on the train. "is something wrong?" she asked her friend once she realized whose things were being loaded.

"I am just fine." Kayla replied in a low voice. I just took the time to realize, that this is my chance to make things right a chance to move on with my life. Who knows, my destiny isn't written in stone, and I want a chance to find true love." She explained. "I am not some doll that can be controlled. I am still a sailor scout, but, its time I moved on with my life." She added.

"Kayla are you sure this is what you want?" Rei asked hugging her friend. "because if so I am behind you all the way." She said hugging her friend tight. "But what might I ask brought all of this on?" she just had to ask.

"Well it has a lot to do with the dreams I have been having. I just have the feeling what I am doing is right, that my heart will find true love, and the answers to all my questions. If nothing else, it it's a chance to start over and get out of the home that has caused me nothing but pain and hardship." Kayla said a little more confidence in her voice.

Rei smiled as the rest of her friends arrived. "so lets go then and find a ew start. Maybe your right Kayla-Chan is right I feel it in my heart too." Rei stated as she helped her friend to her seat explaining to everyone the conversation that had taken place before they had all arrived.

The train ride wasn't as long as everyone had expected. Kayla and Mina had slept through the most part. Rei found a book to read as did Ami and Lita was thinking of all the different things she could prepare for her friends when she found out where the kitchen was where she was going to stay. Kayla feel out of her seat when the train came to a stop in the station. "Where are we?" she asked in a sleep filled voice.

"At our stop." Lita said as she helped her friend up.

Rei led the way being the first to spot their escorts. "Wow whoever organized this thing sure must be loaded, or they sure have a lot of style." Mina gapped eyes wide and sparlking in shock from the sight that reached her eyes once she woke up. The station was of chores croweded due to the normal flow of traffic, but the path was cleared for them. Kayla didn't have to wait for ramps or help because it was offered before she could open her mouth to ask. "This person, or group of people sure know how to handle a handicapped person." She mused allowed to herself putting her hands up when she felt someone else taking over for her.

"So where are we staying?" Ami asked their guide.

"You five lovely young ladies have the honor of staying in Mr. Kaiba's estate as his special guests. Every one of you will be given the option of Dueling, and each person will receive one of Mr. Kaiba's state of the art dueling discs, which will be given to you tonight after the public announcement of the terment has been completed." The suit explained.

"Why thank you sir." Rei replied for the group as their stuff was being loaded in the car. She smiled helping her friend to stand, making sure she would be alright and helping her into the car knowing Kayla had a hard time with them. The ride to the mantion was uneventful and no one really spoke. Lita set her sights on the kitchen once she had unpacked her things dying to start cooking right away. Kayla found her bed very inviting even though she had slept most of the way there. Rei was looking for a room where she could build a fire for meditation, while Ami searched for a library in the huge house. Their host was not at home at the time, and the girls didn't mind much knowing that he was still in school on the side as well as running the company that was sponsoring the terment. Mina was having a great time running about checking out the house, never being in one that size before.

It wasn't until much later that their host arrived at home. The first person he came across was Rei, who had found what she was looking for. When Seto first saw her, she was sitting in front of the fire she had created chanting and moving her fingers. He sat and watched her for a few moments amazed by how she was able to stand being so close to the fire, and yet, she didn't appear to be hot, but growing strength from it. He left the room and headed into the kitchen for a drink, where Lita was Just finishing up one of her works of art sort of speak. He blinked and quietly left the room wanting to get back to the room that Rei had slected to do her fire readings in order to maybe watch her at work some more. By the time he had returned however, Rei had finished and was putting out the fire. "Oh Hello there Miss, you be one of our guests. My name is Seto Kaiba, and I am sorry I wasn't home in time to properly greet you and your friends." Seto intrduced when Rei turned to where she could see him.

Rei Jumped a little at first before speaking. "Oh I am sorry I didn't see you. Nice to meet you, I am Hino Rei." She introduced. "I am sure my friends are about if you would like to meet them. She added with a smile.

"Well how about this, I'll give you a formal tour of the house, and I'll say hi to your friends if we run into them along the way." Seto found himself offering. ::What is it with me?:: he thought to himself as he watched rei. ::Why am I acting this way twords this girlk, I can't still.. no that was another lifetime:: he added as a mix of thoughts rushed through his head. One thing was true, he couldn't be so cold harted around her, when he saw her, it was like he had forgotten how to snap.

Rei smiled at him softly seemingly not afraid by him. If it were anyone else she would have been cold, but something told her that she couldn't. ::What is wrong with me::: she thought as she found herself speaking aloud. "sounds nice." She replied softly.

Seto nodded and did as he had planned. Along the way they found Ami still reading a book like always, but even though Seto was being polite, each time he looked over at Rei he couldn't shake the odd feeling that he had seen her before somewhere. ::Something about her…:: he thought as he stopped in the kitchen. "I made lunch for everyone." Lita chirped when they entered.

"Sounds great to me Lita Chan." Rei commented trying to get her own thoughts of Seto out of her mind. ::I know we have met before:: she kept thinking, that is until it hit her. She took Lita by the arm and pulled her to the side for a moment. "Scout meeting tonight." Rei whispered low enough so only lita could hear.

Her smiled and nodded before she set the table waving by mentioning to Rei and Seto that she was going to track down the others. She was already out the door and didn't hear Rei call that Ami was hitting the books again sort of speak and that she could be found in the library, but the brown haired girl already knew where to find her friend. Seto smiled and took a seat taking a bite of some of the food Lita had left behind. He didn't notice at first Rei sit next to him until he saw her slender arm cross his line of vision reaching for one of the muffins Lita had left. He smiled to himself, not understanding why or where these odd feelings were coming from.

The day went on pretty much like that. Seto had become so distracted he lost track of time completely, something that was unusal for him. It took Mokuba, his little brother reminding him of the announcement for him to remember what it was he had to do. He waved bye to Rei and tod her where she could go to see it up close. "Ok I'll be there, give me a few to get Kayla started and awake though." She told him as she headed for her friend's room.

It took Kayla almost an hour to become alert and awake enough to hear what Rei was trying to explain to her, but never the less the young girl got for the most part what she needed to know or what she thought she needed. Rei sighed and gave up knowing waking Kayla was going to be a lost cause. She figured since the dreams had been keeping them up most of the night Kayla's already damaged body had caught up to her and not even her dreams or pain from her muscles could bother her sleep. However, Rei was able to get the young brown haired girl up out of bed and into her wheelhair. When she was more awake she was able to hear what was going on.

"Greatings everyone. Welcome to the up coming battle city terment. It will begain in exactly one week from tonight, and this means that you have to hury to pick up your dueling discs and redigister to get started. I have picked all of you based on your skills as duelists. This will have new rules which will put the duelist kingdom terment to shame. For example, when you lose a duel, you must turn over your rarest card to the winner of the duel. Also in your duel disc box is a rule book. For those that annot read print, I have enclosed the book on a special card when placed in the duel disc will display a set of rules ment for them and ONLY them. I can see every duel that takes place, and my little brother Mokuba will be hitting the streets to help me out making sure no one tries to skip out on my rules." Seto's voice said as it rang out over a loud speaker. "More details will be given tomarrow night, but this is just an intro for those that need to back out now. Last warning." He added.

"Wow I didn't know so much was involved in something like this." Lita commented as she Yawned. " WWell guys I think I am going to turn in for he night I think that I would like to explor this place a little tomarrow before things become hetic when the duels start, no one would want to walk around in it unless they were dueling.

"Good Idea Lita-Chan, I think I agree, a good night sleep will do us some good I think." Kayla put in.

"You have no room to say that, You have been sleeping all dam day long as it was." Mina retorted.

"OH don't start guys.. " Rei interjected before Mina's mouth got Kayla really upset.

The next morning proved to be much better then the night before. Most of the rain had dryed up from the early after noon showers, that the girls managed to miss by a few minutes when they were arriving. Lita woke bright and early preparing breakfast for everyone and then some before getting dressed in something a little cooler then what she used to cook in. She then knocked on Ami's door and informed her that she had made breakfast and was on her way out for the day and would be back late. The redisent book worm simply nodded and promised to tell the others of Lita's plans before she herself took a shower and got some breakfast before Kayla and Mina could get their hands on it.

Lita found the town more wonderful then she had first thought. She thought the train ride was butiful, but the town itself was alive with morning activity. Students were hurring on their way to school and adults were rushing off to their jobs. The air was filled with the smells of fresh baked goods and flowers growing outside various shops. She took a deep breath enjoying the fresh cool air of the morning. She sighed stepping aside when she saw a girl literly dragging a boy by his neck down the street. Her sigh of frustration turned quikly into one of anger when his protests reached her ears. "Hey you let that boy go!" Lita shouted as she took chace.

The girl stopped waving the boy around in her haist to see who it was that had the nerve to stop her from doing what she did every morning just about. "What do you want?!" she shouted back.

"Drop him!" Lita shot back pointing a hand at the girl.

"Or you'll do what?!" the girl shrieked shaking the oy more every time she spoke a word.

Lita ran at the girl and flipped her over her shoulder causing her to drop the boy in the process. The girl rooled over and kicked at lita trying to cause her to fall, but Lita dodged that with ease, and was able to kick her right back. "You should know better then to treat people like that. That boy isn't some object you can toss around at your own free will!" Lita spat turning from the girl and offering the boy a hand up.

"Thanks for helping me with Tea, she needs to learn when I say leave me alone, that I mean it." He said with a sigh.

"NO problem little one…" lita said rufling the boy's tri colored hair.

` "Hey stop that" The boy laughed. "I have to get to school, I hope to see you around though, names Yugi." He called after running to school so he would make it by first bell.

Lita smiled and walked off in another direction pausing when a blonde oy caught her eye for just a moment. He was on his way to school and Like Yugi he too was running late for school and that was why she didn't get a good look at him, however she saw enough to send one thought through her mind ::he is so cute.:: Lita sighed also feeling that she would never see him again, but she would soon discover she was so wrong.

Later that ight when she was on her way back home, after the sun had set and the street lights had come on, Lita passed by an ally where a duel was taking place. She saw the boy from that morning with the blonde hair standing on side while a man hiding himself in a black cape stood across from him. She watched as the two players battled it out, but her eyes grew angery when the blonde lost and the capped man and two of his friends begun to attack him. Lita stood bak and moving her hands Just right a bracelet glowing as she spoke. "Jupiter Power Make -UP" she called softly as her transformation took place. Once done she stood behind the hooded figures Yelling at them to stop. "Hold it right there! I am the sailor scout of thunder, and I say on behalf of the planet Jupiter, I shall punish you!"

Lita's speech caught the attention of the men and they left their target alone fist landing on the back of the neck of the man that appeared to be the leader. The two others both lept trying to catch the senshi off guard, but with no luck. Her green boot kicked one square in the balls while her white gloved hand punched the other in one of his temples, Lita herself Landing on her feet not even breaking a sweat. The boy looked up in shock as the strange girl cleaned up the dropped dueling cards and handed them back.

"Why thank you so much for helping me out." The boy said with a sheepish grin on his face one hand scratching the back of his head absently. His eyes kept roaming up and down her body finally stopping at her green eyes. She stood tall in a Green ad white sailor style suit, a green chocker around her neck and her arms up to the elbows with white gloves with green trimming where the ended at the elbows. On her feet she wore green comboots like things that went to just above the ankle. The wind blew her hair out of her face, and you could see a gold tereia in the center, was a green jewl that seemed to sparkle when the streetlight hit it. His mind went to mush when her voice reached his ears.

"No problem I was happy to do it, Just call me sailor Jupiter." Lita responed.

"and you can call me yours." Joey replied his since leaving him as he kept eying her.

"Um ok.. I'll be seeing you around, maybe later, I really need to be getting back and you best get to that hospital, your sister is cunting on you." Lita reminded.

"How did you?" Joey asked in shock coming to his sinces clearing his head.

"That is easy, I over heard most of your conversation while you were dueling that creep. I am sorry that you were forced into it, but those creeps won't be back." Lita stated.

Joey nodded and raced to the hospital Just in time to cath his sister right before her surgery. :: Serenity I am coming for you:: Joey thought as he made it just varely in the noik of time. Due to the delay Joey almost missed it but luck was on his side and he made it. Once his sister was in, he called Yugi and told him of his adventures which included how he met Lita and how he almost never made it to the hospital.

Yugi sighed in relief once his friend was ok. He wasn't able to talk to long due to the fact Tea was breathing down his neck again. :: I wish she would leave me alone:: Yugi though with a sigh as he hung up the phone telling the bitch what she wanted to hear, figuring she was still friends with Joey. :: got to figure out some way to ditch her, :: Yugi thought as he headed to his room.

::Well I since the girl from our dreams is here in town:: Yami told his counterpart reading his mind sincing the young boy's distress.

"I wonder where to find her though, maybe she ould help you with your past. I am not sure, but with the dreams we have been having they depict some past" Yugi said aloud lying face down on his bed trying to avoid Tea al together.

::But the only problem is I can't pinpoint where she is, though I feel she is near here.:: Yami replied.

"Well didn't Kaiba bring five new girls into his home during the terment, as a way of thanking for coming since ot all of them are duelists. You see I saw a picture of a girl when the guy was showing the profiles. It said she had the option to duel, but it was most likely she wouldn't." Yugi pointed out as a thought. "I'll give him a call to see if she is there, its probly our best bet. Maybe we can get her to come over and sopend the day with us." He added.

::Can I meet her in your place Yugi because I feel I am having some dreams of my past through you." Yami asked.

"Well it makes little since, but I'll track her down and then we will see from there." Yugi replied as he picked up the phone…
