Chapter Summary: 2 days later, after the end of school Jou is sent a letter of Graduation, recommendation and graduation party. Throw up your hats and cheer on!

WARNINGS: might have grammatical errors.

Notes: Guys I'm sorry about the cliffy on chapter one...but I did post chapter 2 almost immediately, hope you forgive me...I decided it was a great idea, to put up something fun before I get writers block on this particular fic or chapter. I promise the third chapter will be a bit longer than others will. I re-edited this fic as you see, and hope you enjoy it so very much.

Ps. I will try not to put an author's note at the bottom of every chapter.

Jou's padded feet walked on the smooth tile of his small apartment, in black bunny slippers, going to open the door, for his daily mail. He opened the door for a petite woman, to shove mail in his hands, he blinked and mumbled sourly “someone's in a bitchy mood...” he said while shuffling through his mails.

“Bills, graduation mail, bill, graduation party, bill, letter of recommendation...” he said absentmindedly dropping it on the glass center coffee table, and just lay his head on the couch tearing open the letter of recommendation.

He ripped through it so fast it almost tore; he finally opened it as he murmured through the letter

“Dear,

Joey Wheeler you have been excepted to the school of The Art Institute of New York (AINY)as a new student.I am very happy for that you are joining the teamand I know you are delighted to be accepted, how ever you will have to fill out the forms at the bottom of the page to be fully accepted thank you and welcome toAINY.”

Jou dropped the letter and ran around his apartment jumping up and down, like a maniac.

He called everybody he knew, his sister, and of course, the gang, they cheered him on, and he was so happy.

He went through his other mails. He opened the graduation letter,

In addition, a popping red ribbon in front of him, it said

“Jounouchi Katsuya you are a finalists in the graduation, cheer on and be happy!” from there it sang a little funny song.

Jou opened the graduation party envelope, and it seemed this party was opened to every graduate, only.

Jou kept that on his table, and he was so happy. He called Yugi again, and heard that he got one too.

It was time to go to bed for one, and he slipped into the comfortable green sheets, with a black comforter, covering his clothed form. He was about to put off the side table lamp, when he spotted the white covered yearbook, he smiled, and looked at Kaiba's words

“I know we must not get along so often or at all, in high school, but it has been a pleasure knowing you Jounouchi Katsuya, you are very flamboyant and loquacious (that's probably why I insulted you so much) keep your head high, and never let your guard down.

Seto Kaiba.

Jou blushed and put off the lamp, and smiled into the night, and slept into the world of dreams & rainbows, thinking only about one, Seto Kaiba.

Jou looked around anxiously, he was looking for something or rather...someone...he sighed.

“This is no use,” he murmured under his breath

 

 

September thought that she'd remembered

He was looking for Kaiba and he was not there for the graduation, even at the calling, the principal had to drop of his plaque and certificate of at Kaiba corp.

He walked on sadly, but he had to put up a cheery smile, and take his certificate at the podium, when he took it he bowed and went back to his seat.

Yugi looked at him. “Jou don't feel so down, it's graduation! Surely, everyone is happy at graduation...” he consoled rubbing his back in circles.

Graduation Party

Jou had changed before the party into a black turtle belly top, tight as hell leather black pants, and knee high boots, with a black trench covering on top.

He walked in and went straight to a bar of expensive liquor.

The Party was being held at `Red as Wine' it was an expensive party club, but that makes it even more awesome. Jou did not know who exactly rented the place for this party, but the person was very rich.

Jou snorted and looked at the `Verdi' he was drinking, and dropped it on the table. He finally looked about the club and was amazed at the decorations. The place was so red! (Because it was their school color, red and green so...)

Jou looked at the people on the dance floor looking for his friends, when he saw Yugi waving at him at some booth.

 

He smiled and immediately went over to them and saw Tristan and Duke making out.

“Tristan weren't you just fucking some blonde bimbo yesterday?”

Tristan broke of his make-out session to look at Jou

“And...”

“Never mind, just go back to your make out session...”

Yugi held Yami's hand, brought him to the dance floor. Jou groaned

“Not you guys too...” they nodded and he looked at Bakura, Ryou, Malik & Marik.

He closed his eyes and flopped on the booth.

When he friends were practically drained, Jou was apparently sleeping

“Do you think he's dead?” Bakura poked at Jou's skin

“Nope” they poked at him until Jou woke up very angry, holding an apparently broken edge of the glass cup he was using before, chasing them.

“Come back here you morons, what kind of wake-up call was that?”

Jou got tired and just went back to the bar. He ordered another glass cup of Verdi, looked at the people around him, and went back to his drink.

“Stressed?”

Jou snapped his head at the direction of the voice, looking at a person with sapphire blue eyes.

“Yeah...I thought this party was supposed to be pumping and everything but it's boring...”

The blue-eyed fellow looked at Jou and started salivating.

“Is it because you don't have anyone to spend it with? Maybe that's the reason...”

“Probably...”

Jou finally got a good look at the person, and saw only a shadowed face caused by the darkness of the bar area. In the light, Jou saw he was wearing black pants and a night blue button down silk shirt that contrasted to the pants with the club lights.

He was wearing a Navy blue beret on his head, hiding specks of red hair, at least that what it looked like to Jou...with the blinding red lights...

Seto saw Jou checking him out and smirked inwardly. `Guess he's impressed'

Jou sipped his drink until it was finished and ordered a glass of `Arbanel white Merlot'; he looked at the light red color of the drink and gulped it down eagerly.

Seto just watched him at the corner of his eye

“You have a good choice of drinks, you have a collection?” Seto asked intrigued

“Actually yes, my dad used to drink a lot and he had style so he bought expensive drinks, from there...it's none of your business anyway...” Jou snapped. He was slowly getting tipsy.

Seto noticed by the way, his eyelids drooped with each drink when he wanted to order another shot of `David Sherman Paul Vodka', he stopped Jou from gulping it down, and dragged him to the dance floor.

“Hey let go of me, I don't even know you...” Jou protested

Kaiba smirked “Oh you know me alright; it's just within a matter of time...”

Jou didn't feel like shouting anymore because he had a huge headache so he held onto Kaiba so he would not fall, Kaiba took all of that opportunity and drew him close to his heated body, it took all the will power in him not to ravish him on the dance floor.

They did the salsa, tango, rumba, samba, foxtrot and more...Seto was tired by the time he finished dancing. When one of Jou's favorite American came up, he was definitely awake and was willing to Dance with Kaiba, whispering the songs in his ear.

Am I throwing you off?

Jou was more awake and upbeat, Kaiba removed his beret unintentionally, and kept it on the stool, Jou gasped, and plopped down on his stool covering his mouth with his palm.

He was shocked; he had just danced with one of the hottest people in this club.

Kaiba saw what he was looking at and shoved the beret right on his head, to cover the slip, but Jou already saw and knew.

He just removed it and looked at jou.

Jou was now drinking his vodka, looking at anywhere but at seto.

“You're going to have to talk to me sometime...” Seto said

Jou ignored him, and kept on sipping his drink. When he thought he was full he was about to grab his trench and go home, but seto held him back

“Look, talk to me...it's not that bad...”

Jou released his wrists and walking out of the club, when he was out of the club he ran to the park.

Kaiba stood there debating with himself

`Should I go or not...why would I even want to go after him? He's not my type, he is loquacious, bratty, very noisy, I can't possibly be falling for a person like that?!! But why is he ignoring me all of a sudden?' he decided to run after him to get some answers.

`I should have known it was him, blue eyes...if that stupid club light wasn't in my way this would be easier to deal with' he bereted himself and curse at himself for his lack of intelligence.

He wanted to smoke, he checked at the sides of the pockets, when he found one stick he growled, and shoved it into his mouth.

He looked for lighter, but there was none, when someone came up to his face and lighted it for him.

Jou looked agitated still, and refused to talk to seto, he rocked his leg back and forth on the bench he was sitting on. He heard a flicker of the lighter, looked over the other side of the bench, and saw Kaiba smoking a cig

“I thought you said it was bad for you `it would give me lung cancer'” he mimicked seto's voice as he said before

Seto laughed, and breathed out a puff of smoke

“Whatever, I was trying to get your fucking attention anyways”

Jou raised a brow “now you swear when did that happen? Seto kaiba swearing, I thought it was low of you...”

Seto snickered “actually no one has seen this side of seto Kaiba before, yep I'm fucking seto Kaiba I'm supposed to do everything right? right. Fucking perfect” he blew a puff of smoke from his nose, and smirked

Jou just sat there, head in his hands and cig in the other.

“Why did you run away from me?..” Jou raised his head and laid it at the trunk of the tree, the bench was situated under

“I guess I was shocked and scared... I didn't know how to react and I guess I ran away just so I could get away when facing you...”

Seto came to seat beside jou. He looked him in the eye

“Are you afraid of me jou?”

“You crazy? Fuck no!”

“Good”

They sat in silence until seto spoke

“What now...”

“What do you mean?”

“What's going to happen to us? Is this a stirring of a relationship? Is this just a thing that we just keep between us, and never to mention?”

Jou looked back at him, sadly

“I can't start a relationship even you wanted it, even if I wanted it, I have my life ahead of me, and I don't want to get cooped in domino for so long. Besides, that I have to go to university, and I leave tomorrow”

Seto bent down his head, to stop the oncoming tears.

“Where are you going?”

“America, the school is supposed to be nice...”

“Okay, I guess this is goodbye then...”

Seto stood up ready to walk away when Jou held his arm, and crushed his body to his in an attempt to catch his lips.

He held on tight and sucked on his lips until seto coaxed his mouth open for jou to suck on his tongue. They where lazily circling their mouths and licking haphazardly.

Jou went to work on seto's lobe and found it quite tasty.

They French-kissed for a few moments before breaking off for air, Jou held Kaiba for moments then he let go.

“I'm sorry seto but I- we can't do this anymore; I don't want to break your heart further”

“But if you go away you'll break my shatter my heart to pieces” his voice broke at the last sentence

Jou rubbed his back “its okay, Seto I'll be back but I'll miss you...”

Jou kissed him on the cheek, and left. Leaving Seto in the middle of the night, trying to hold back tears.

Jou woke up in the morning dead tired, with a massive headache he took some Advil, to calm down. He went back to sleep, he woke at 12:00pm, his plane would be leaving at 3:00pm sharp, so he had pack everything and fast!

And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives

But when we leave this year we won't be coming back

By the time he took a shower, brushed, and wore khaki pants and a white polo...it was 1:50pm.

 

As we go on, we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change, come whatever
We will still be, friends forever

 

He cleaned up his apartment leaving it spotless, everything was still there...he phoned yugi to come pick him up at 2:50pm sharp.

He had already told his Landlady about the apartment, that she should not hold him for any charges, that she should cancel any bills, until he was back in Domino, she agreed happily.

So if we get the big jobs and we make the big money
When we look back now, will our jokes still be funny?
Will we still remember everything we learned in school?
Still be trying to break every single rule
Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man?
Can Heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan?
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye

And this is how it feels

It was already 2:30 and jou was running all over the place, ten minutes later he calmed down a bit. He took around two luggages and a carry on.

Yugi picked him up, and they went straight to the airport. He kissed them all goodbye, yugi being the sensitive person he is, cried for a bit then managed to stop before Jou got on the plane. He waved them one last goodbye, a white yearbook in between his armpit; he smiled at them sadly, and went on the plane. The only thing the gang witnessed was the swoosh of the airplane passing by them, along with a piercing blue- eyed sad man watching the scene at a particular window at Kaiba Corp.

 

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow?
I guess I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women and men
Will the past be a shadow that will follow us round?
Will these memories fade when I leave this town
