~ KAIBA MANSION: SETO KAIBA'S BEDROOM ~

It was morning. The staff members had returned the night before, and were currently sleeping in this particular morning since during vacation 'Kaiba-sama' slept in as well.

Seto looked at the clock on his nightstand. It read 5:53 A.M. His spacious room was dark and completely silent except for the sound of his breathing. Oh, and of course the breathing of his newfound lover.

Li was sleeping with her head and right arm resting on Seto's chest while her left arm was spread before her with her hand resting next to Seto's head. He wanted to kiss that hand. He could feel her chest expanding and shrinking as she breathed. That in combination with her heartbeat soothed his soul. He had woken up an hour ago and just stared at her, thinking.

The object of his thoughts was finally his. There she lay in his arms, his and Mokuba's savior. He knew he loved this girl, and the love that had been returned to him the night before was like nothing else he had ever felt. He wondered if this is what others felt through friendship and trust. An undeniable feeling happiness rested in his heart. Was this true happiness? Now that he had this feeling, he didn't want to lose it, and he would do anything to keep it.

He continues to stare at the captivating girl. Seto ran his hand through her silky, raven locks. She was his. Those crimson eyes were his. The demonic/angelic beauty was his and his alone.

He chuckled to himself. Li was demonic and angelic at the same time. She had midnight hair, canine teeth that were a little too long and red eyes. But her pale skin seemed to give her a divine glow as if from an inner light. You'd never really notice that fact about her teeth unless she'd want you to and her eyes weren't harsh with the edge of insanity. They looked soulful, and as if she were thinking.

Seto was obsessed with this girl, and he would do anything for her.

It disturbed him that Li could probably easily bend him to her will. He would do anything for her just to make her stay with him. The girl stirred in his arms.

Li was tired, but felt amazingly good all over. Her eyes slowly fluttered open and looked at Seto with those amazing scarlet eyes. Cerulean eyes stared back at her, as if they'd been watching her all night. They looked at her in awe and, stranger still, love. Seto placed a hand under her chin and kissed her softly. The kiss was sweet and gentle, so much unlike the personality of the boy so many had been led to believe. As he pulled back, he said in a low voice, "Ohayo (Good morning)". He held her close, like he thought that if he let go Li would disappear. She remained quiet. She was a bit confused as to why Seto Kaiba was in bed with her, and then the events of the night before came rushing back to her. She blushed brightly. Seto smiled. "Did you enjoy last night?" Li merely looked away and nodded. A frown now replaced his smile. He took hold of her chin and turned her head. "Look at me and answer my question truthfully." Li looked at him with wide eyes. "Was last night a mistake to you?" Li hugged Seto and buried her head in his chest. Then she looked up at him and said, "Of course not! Last night was probably one of the best things I ever did." Seto bent forward and kissed her, then got up.

"I'm going to take a shower." He grinned slyly. "Care to join me?" Li shook her head and glared at him. He just sort of laughed and entered the bathroom.

Li started to get up to, when she realized how sore she felt between her legs. She winced, got up, and limped towards Seto's discarded robe. She wrapped it around herself and examined her koibito's room. It was furnished with pinewood and black and blue silk. The seen reminded her of a forest at night. The place felt a bit gloomy.

Seto finished his shower and it was Li 's turn.

As Li stepped into the bathroom, Seto started to change into some clean clothes. When he was finished, he pushed a button on his intercom. He was contacting the kitchen. "Koji, are you there?" "Hai, Kaiba-sama." "I want you to start breakfast for two right away." Koji replied in a confused sort of tone. "Two?" "Yes. I have a guest here." "As you wish Kaiba-sama."

Soon after that, Seto heard a blow drier go on in the bathroom. Then he saw Li step out in his bathrobe. The way the robe hung on Li's smaller frame made it look like an evening gown. The front was open so you could see the area between her breasts and her firm stomach down to her belly button. Her hair flowed around her in soft waves and she had a faint blush on her cheeks because of the way Seto was looking at her. He walked over to her and wrapped one arm around her face while the other was on her cheek. He kissed her. Seto wished that he could just continue kissing her, but he knew he couldn't. He finally pulled away from her and let Li get dressed.

They walked down the stairs and through twisting hallways and corridors. An ordinary person would have gotten lost, but Seto had memorized which hallways led to which doors and which doors led to which rooms. Li was almost dizzy as Seto finally dragged her into the dining room.

The dining room was very large, with a high ceiling and one of those really long tables. There were window lining the walls that went halfway down the walls in length. There was also a large crystal chandelier hanging above. Seto sat at the end of the table, and gestured for her to sit next to him. As she sat down, a woman wheeling a cart came through the door.

While the woman was setting down plates of sausages, bacon, pancakes, scones, and fresh fruit, she was studying Li. The whole staff was curious who the guest was, and she was to give them the most detailed report she could possibly give. They were mostly curious because the master of the household never had guests of his own, unlike his brother, unless they were women he had slept with. But the strange thing was, he never had breakfast with them, he usually just sent them off before he ate. She set down a pitcher of juice and a teakettle along with a pot of hazelnut coffee. "I'll leave the tray here in case you want more." Li said, "Thank you." The woman looked at her as if she had one eye and said, "You're welcome." 'Nope', thought the woman. 'She's definitely not like the other women.' Before the woman left, Seto stopped her and said, "Tell Yashiko my sheets need to be changed." Seto said this as if it was routine, but Li blushed like mad and ate her breakfast. "Hai Kaiba-sama."

It seemed that Li and Seto would eat in continual silence. Seto, however, was staring at Li while he ate. "Could you pour me some orange juice?" Li started at the sudden break in the silence. She shifted a bit under the gaze and poured a glass of orange juice.

Seto just kept staring. He loved the skilled and graceful way she poured the drink, as if she were a geisha. Her whole movement suggested grace.

Li took a drink from her own glass. Her throat was very dry because she hadn't had anything to drink since early afternoon yesterday when she was eating her lunch, plus the added vocal work from last night. She blushed at the thought. She'd never thought she would've ended up with a lover. But a thought sprung from her head. What if the words he had whispered so affectionately in her ear the night before meant nothing to him? What if he didn't really love her, and she was just another one of his conquests?

It was Li's turn to disturb the silence.

"Seto," she started in a serious but soft tone," do you really love me? If last night was just a one time thing," she said as she stood from her chair with her head cast down, "I think I should leave now and we should both forget about her whole thing." Then in a movement as fast and sudden as lightning, Seto was out of his chair, hugging Li from behind as if for dear life with his head buried in the crook of her neck.

When he heard those words, Seto was overcome with emotion. His body quickly responded to his emotions and he was up in less than a second.

He was weeping at the sudden emotion of despair flooding him into the fabric of the girl's shirt. "Don't you dare!" he sobbed. Li's eyes were wide. Seto Kaiba was crying! She almost couldn't believe it.

Seto continued. "Don't you dare leave me now when you have given yourself to me. You are mine, and you will leave when I say you can leave." Li was a bit frightened by those words and stiffened in the arms of the seemingly insane CEO.

Seto, however, payed no mind to her actions and hugged her even tighter. "Do you know what I think of you? You are a temptress of the body and a seductress of the mind. Every move you make, every touch you give me makes me hot as hell. Your soothing, truthful words and your sweet voice rape my mind. You are a pure bodied Jezebel(1). You are my angel and my demon. You give me comfort, yet torture me at the same time. It kills me to be in your presence, but I can't bear to be without your touch. I would never let you leave my presence, but I am in debt to you for saving both my brother and I, so I would do anything you asked of me. I would tell you my weaknesses, let you manipulate me, and I would love it all as long as you were by my side. I curse you for having restored emotions within me, yet I bless you as well. Your voice sounds as sweet and alluring as a siren's song, and though you would lead me to my doom, I would crave you all the same. I can't stand you, but I need you. I hate you, but I love you."

Seto quickly turned Li around in his arms so she was facing him. He had one hand behind her head and one around her waist, then he crushed her lips with his own, his kiss filled with passion and desperation at the same time.

By the time he removed his mouth they were both breathing hard for lost breath. Li placed her hands on either side of his head and looked at him with a sad and shocked expression. "Don't say such things about me. I'm just a simple girl-" "No! You are not just some simple girl!" Seto shouted an interuption. He crushed the smaller girl to his chest. Li was startled. "You're so much more than that. You are an angel, and a demon. You are a saint, and a witch. You are my lover, and the one I love in a way I thought I never could. You have given me your heart, I can sense it, and I will never let you take it back. I will do anything to keep it. And you," Seto's face could now portrayed his emotions. The once icy expression was no longer there. Seto had such a look of desperation and insistence on his face. "You have my heart, and I gave it to you because I love you, and if you leave here, my heart will die, and I shall never love again. So you can't," he leaned his head down and pressed his forehead to hers. He said in an almost angry voice. "You can't leave."

Li held the man she loved. She had never thought she would ever love a man in this way. "I promise I will do my best to love you always."

Another promise made, and another promise to be tested.
