A/n- Alrite, the only reason I broke down and updated was because I have already written about three more chapters and I really need to type at least one down.

Tense Introductions

The door was answered a few seconds after Yusuke rang the doorbell.

A teenage girl of about 17 opened it and nearly everyone fell over in surprise.

Yahiko and Kenji's jaws dropped open and they both wondered in unison. `This is what women wear?'

Kuwabara, Yusuke, and Youko in Kurama's mind had a different reaction too. Their drool was leaking out of the corners of their mouths. (Youko was doing this in his cool, dignified way of course.)

She had long, silky crimson hair, straight and down to her waist. Her eyes were huge and a bright jade green on emerald. Her skin was an other-worldly orange tan color and she wore a body-hugging outfit that showed a lot of it. The strangest thing about her though, was the fact that she was floating about three inches off the ground.

"May I assist you?" Her voice was delicate and sweetly naïve. Youko spoke to Kurama.

<"Beautiful! Let me bed this one, please? I promise I'll even let you have the first 10 minutes!">

~"No!! She's not our type! She's far too innocent…."~

<"I suppose it would be no good to point out she has a lovely body, therefore she IS my type…">

~"Youko, get your filthy mind out of the gutter!"~

<*pout* "FINE!">The kitsune gave a teasing flip of his long yard of silver hair as the conversation closed. Not for long though.

"Star? Where are you? You missed me wiping the floor with Beastboy again…"

The boy's staring as well as their drool refused to stop as another girl glided down the stairs. She was also hovering about a few inches off the ground and looked to be related to the first.

Instead of crimson hair, this girl had smooth, glossy black hair to her waist. Her eyes were sharper and more striking than the other's, but without the complete fullness. They were a very light lavender-purple. She had the same skin color as the first girl, but something about her made her seem much darker.

She was slightly more mature-looking as well as more dangerous judging from the sharp spikes decorating her jewelry. Her outfit looked similar to the other one, but where the first girl's was green, hers was purple.

Both were equally beautiful, but in completely opposite ways.

Youko would not be silenced this time. His bribing attempts for freedom were beginning to edge on desperation and every few minutes, he would send Shuichii Kurama dirty images through telepathy. He prayed no one would notice his fierce blushes.

They invited the group inside and the first young woman introduced herself.

"I am called Starfire, and this is my older sister---"

"Blackfire." Blackfire actually touched down on the ground and, to Youko's excitement, approached him.

He remembered western culture and shook her outstretched hand. His concentration wavered in surprise at her unnaturally strong grip. It was a little too quick, a little too firm, and it sent pleasant chills down his spine.

Yusuke introduced the crowd including the ones from different realities who were surveying the inner-tower with interest. Even Sesshomaru could barely suppress his awe with the giant computer monitors and the various beeping tracking devices.

Starfire was very pleasant all through introductions and was somehow able to remember everyone's names.

Blackfire and Kurama caught each other's eye a few times. The last time, she refused to back down when she was shocked to find a strong glint of gold in the handsome redhead's eyes.

The normal emerald green hue returned, but she couldn't tear her gaze away. He was simply too hot for words. His skin was much paler than hers, but still with a tanned undertone. She could tell from the way he moved that not only was his grace unnatural, but quite deadly. Youko was going insane.

<"Just TWENTY minutes!!>

~"NO!!!"~

<"TEN! FINAL OFFER. And I'll do it in your body!">

~"…….NO!"~ Kurama would trust the silver fox demon with his life in battle, but around women, he could never let his guard down. Especially since his other half knew nothing about the concept of mutual consent.

Halfway through introductions, Yusuke couldn't fight the temptation. He `accidentally' swept his hand on Starfire's ass. She squeaked in shock.

"Ah! Someone's hand is on my grabnax!" (I think that's what she called it in one episode, if not, please correct me! ^^)

Blackfire immediately abandoned all flirtatious glances with Kurama and stiffened in anger. She slammed into Yusuke with enough force to leave a bruise even on the hardened spirit detective's body. Her eyes glowed purplish-pink with her righteous fury.

"Do not TOUCH my little sister." Her words dripped venom, and although he couldn't say he was sorry, she saw that he had the grace to look ashamed.

Her battle aura faded and she let him go. Yusuke apologized.

"I'm sorry Starfire. I didn't mean to disrespect anyone…" She gave a relieved, but somewhat wary smile.

"My sister is a little over-protective."

Her understanding astounded him as did her choice of words. He would have been on the receiving end of about three slaps from Keiko.

He suddenly understood then that he couldn't flirt with Starfire like that. She was too kind. She deserved better. Yusuke did something very out of character for himself.

He solemnly took her delicate hand and brushed his lips on it. The room fell dead silent.

Genkai, much to Yusuke's annoyance, began to chuckle merrily.

"Well, perhaps all your manners are not hopeless. You only needed a pretty girl to jolt you into being polite…" She decided not to say that she knew it was not merely politeness.

Yusuke looked up to see Starfire's face flushed quite prettily.

"S-Shall we p-proceed?" she stammered out. He flashed everyone a lazy grin causing them all to gape even more, with the obvious exception of Hiei and Sesshomaru.

They all entered the next room where Beastboy was playing a one-player game on the gaming system. He looked up as they entered.

"Uhm, I guess we made some new friends?" He looked at Yukina, Rin, Shizuru, and the still unconscious Botan; he smiled. "Pretty friends."

Starfire introduced them to Beastboy one by one.

"Most of them speak little English, I'm afraid." Beastboy said it was cool, while Yusuke and Kuwabara inspected his gaming system with awe.

"Damn, that's quite the system you've got there!" Beastboy swelled with pride.

"Of course, dude! And we've got the sweetest game for it too!---"

"You idiots are making it impossible for me to meditate…" said a dark, but feminine monotone. A petite figure moved forth from the shadows…
