A/n- Well, this update took a LOT longer than I expected! ^_^; I apologize to the people who were looking forward to the next update.

The holidays for me have officially started and I am leaving to go on vacation this Sunday. I MIGHT update tomorrow, but don't get your hopes up seeing as how I will be swamped in packing and other things.

More than likely, this will be my last chapter for a few weeks so I made it longer than usual. (And personally, I don't think the sizes of my chapters were too bad before.)

Among the Titans

The girls quickly made plans to go shopping the next day. The guys, probably realizing they would end up holding all the bags, refused to go with them. Besides, they needed to `Think of a game plan' as Beastboy called it.

Genkai spoke to the younger people in the tower.

"We may as well use all this extra time to our advantage. I think I can safely assume Inutaisho cannot find us in this reality, so we should train while we know we are safe. Tomorrow, we will begin training," she added as an afterthought, "After we return from the mall of course."

To everyone's great astonishment, the stony Sesshomaru backed Genkai up. He felt somewhat at ease within this strange company of people, or at least as much at ease as a taiyoukai can and still be on his guard. (That made no sense, but oh well. ^_^;)

"It may be because I am slightly more sensitive to different ki types than you all are, but I can sense strange ki coming from all of you that call yourselves the Titans." Genkai recovered from speechlessness quickly.

"Yes. In fact, and I'm sure they'll agree with me," She broke off, daring anyone to correct her, "Yusuke and myself will teach reiki development. Hiei, Sesshomaru, and Kurama will deal with weapons. Starfire, Blackfire, and Beastboy, you may feel you have no use for these `classes' but I would advise you to at least spar with us. Raven, I am truly curious about your powers. It's like nothing I've ever sensed before; perhaps you will show us?"

"Maybe…" Raven replied neutrally.

Kurama could not curb a tiny twinge of disappointment when he realized he would not be training with Blackfire. Yes, the kitsune found himself quite taken with the witty, beautiful Tamaranian woman.

Blackfire had given up her bedroom to Genkai, Rin, and Shizuru while she stayed in her sister's room for the night.

Yukina, being demon, didn't need very much sleep, so she stayed with Botan the whole night. Hiei watched over her and they were shortly joined by Sesshomaru, who had nothing better to do.

The youkai lord inspected the technology in the room with fascination (I can actually see him doing this) while Hiei eyed him warily.

It wasn't long before Sesshomaru gave a humorless, harsh chuckle.

"Relax, fire demon, I will not harm your sister. I have more honor than that."

"Trust is for the foolish… and the dead." (Do not own that line) Hiei replied shortly, but he did relax, albeit a tiny bit.

Kenji and Yahiko took the spare bedroom that had been Robin's, while Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Kurama shared the living room.

By share, I mean Yusuke and Kuwabara fought for two hours over who would get the couch. This ended with a comment, by an annoyed Kurama, that if the two of them thought they were both so tough, why did they need the couch at all? Kuwabara retaliated by saying he would probably last longer on the floor than Yusuke could.

In the end, both hard-headed boys ended up sleeping on the floor, while Kurama peacefully took up the couch.

~Fast forward to the next morning~

Everyone made the mistake of allowing Beastboy to make breakfast the next day. Tofu, soymilk, and other completely vegetarian foods lined the long table. Raven backed away from the breakfast, almost in disgust.

"In all the years I've known you, I have to say, it does not surprise me that you still haven't figured out I do NOT eat fake meat…" Beastboy just stuck his tongue out at the dark enchantress a she poured herself some coffee. A few male members of the Reikai Tantei chortled at this, but began to eat anyway.

In the middle of the meal, Botan came in, leaning slightly on a beaming Yukina's shoulder.

"Is that tofu?" she asked in perfect English.

"Yep," Beastboy said proudly. "Is your hair naturally blue?"

"Yep" Botan said proudly; everyone who could understand them sweat dropped.

After breakfast, all the girls left for the mall. (The following was written with help from a buddy of mine since I really don't do the whole clothes-shopping thing very often.)

The minute they got to the mall, they split into groups depending on what they wanted to buy. Also, they hoped that this way, they would earn far less stares at Rin, Yukina, and Botan's traditional kimonos.

Raven and Blackfire took Shizuru to Hot Topic and the tall brunette bought some boots as well as a few different shirts with witty quotes on them. Inside, Blackfire also managed to convince the two of them to buy some - ahem - intimate apparel with her.

At the Old Navy, Starfire took the rest of the group to buy some everyday clothes. When she began to worry about the expenses, Botan giggled.

"No worries, Koenma pays for everything!" The girls laughed at the thought of a very pissed off toddler receiving 5 hundred dollars worth bills for their clothes.

Rin and Yukina loved glittery or loose-fitting tops and long, modest skirts. However, while Rin shyly selected bright candy colors, Yukina went for more subtle, cool tones.

Genkai bought some casual, clean-cut collared tops in solid colors as well as a single pair of jeans and comfortable pairs of black slacks. It was somewhat difficult to find her sizes, her being so small, so they ended up going to the younger women's boutique.

Botan went a little more wild and bought several flirty tops that would have met Blackfire's approval, some designer jeans for herself and Shizuru, and an American-style jean skirt. She also bought Shizuru one casual top like Genkai's and one flirty top like her own.

They all met up in front of Dillard's and made their way into that store as their last stop.

The group was receiving many admiring glances along the way as they passed by different shops. Some guys were cat-calling, but glares from the scarier members of the group put an end to this rather abruptly.

Inside Dillard's, even Genkai had fun trying on bathing suits with the others.

"Why do we need these?" she asked suspiciously. "If we are to be training, we won't have time to use them." Starfire shook her head at the older woman with admiration.

"Master Genkai, (Genkai had told them already that she was really like ninety years old) I must inform you that, as a Titan, I know that training may not always be efficient. Sometimes, a more relaxing form of exercise is necessary to increase strength and confidence. Our favorite form, especially in such favorable weather, is swimming." She finished her speech, earning more than a little respect from Genkai herself.

In the end, only Raven flat-out refused to buy one. However, Blackfire and Botan had other plans for her.

They quickly bought some casual-looking clothes for the guys, as well as a few not-so-casual ones. A few blushes and hushed giggles later, they had all purchased the remaining necessities and they were ready to head back to the tower.

Blackfire was reluctantly dragged away from Victoria's Secret by Yukina and Rin who were, again, blushing furiously.

~At the tower~

Yusuke yawned and looked at Kuwabara. Kuwabara yawned and looked at Beastboy. Beastboy yawned and looked at Kenji. Kenji yawned and looked at Hiei. Hiei glared, yawned, and then glared again.

"The next one who yawns will be fed to my dragon." He growled, bored and annoyed now.

Everything was quiet as they all held their breath.

Kuwabara tried not to, but Hiei kept cheating and sending him mental images of himself yawning. He yawned hugely then yelled as Hiei began to remove his arm bindings.

"THAT'S NOT FAIR! YOU TRICKED ME!" Hiei only grinned evilly in reply, causing Kuwabara to yell louder. "URIMESHI, DO SOMETHING! HE'S GONNA KILL ME!!!"

Yusuke thought for a minute, then turned to Beastboy, who couldn't understand what was going on. (He can't speak Japanese remember?)

"You got any popcorn?"

"Uh, sure. Check in the pantry."

Kuwabara wondered what was going on until he heard the microwave begin to pop popcorn.

"URIMESHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!"

Suddenly, the party was interrupted, and Kuwabara's life was saved by, the arrival of the girls.

"We have returned from the mall!" beamed a much less shy Rin.

Now that she had basically `bonded' with the other girls, Rin was much more outspoken and cheerful. Kenji smiled secretly at her being so comfortable around her new surroundings. He had known she was strong.

Yusuke entered the room with his popcorn and a disappointed look on his face.

"Aw, you mean there's no dragon-eating-Kuwabara action?" Kuwabara managed to club his over the head with his fist.

"YOU BASTARD! YOU WERE REALLY GONNA LET ME GET EATEN?!" Yusuke socked Kuwabara in the jaw, sending the freakishly tall carrot-top sprawling across the floor.

The popcorn lay spilled all over the floor, long forgotten.

~Ten minutes later~

A muttering Yusuke is crouched on the floor next to an equally disgruntled Kuwabara. Both are picking up the remnants of popcorn off the ground by hand under the watchful eyes of Genkai.

"…Every single crumb, you dimwit muscle heads."

"Whatever Grandma."

"What?"

"I mean, `yes ma'am'."

"That's what I thought you said…."

A/n- well, how was that? Not terrible in my opinion, but I am half asleep right now, so what do I know?

The storyline right now will consist of Botan losing her powers for a while, training with some waff, a time-skip, a few random things I may feel like typing, some more training, Botan gets her powers back. Not necessarily in that order.

After that, I'm not entirely sure where to go with it. By that time, I may finally bring out the bad guy. More than likely, I will have a few cases of writer's block along the way so I would appreciate it if you could help me out when I get stuck.

Write a review if you want to give me a little extra inspiration to update. I realize I said that last time, but I really did have writer's block and I wasn't sure where I was going with this chapter.
