A/n- Phew! It took me a pathetically long time to type this. I apologize!!!! -_-`

By this time I have decided on all the pairings and I wish to know if my lovely intelligent readers can figure them out themselves so that I don't have to spell it out for them. ^_^

Any complaints? Please drop of a review/flame and I will gladly answer accordingly! On to the show!

A Hard Training Session

The boys - ahem - men waited impatiently for the ladies to put away their new clothing and come down. They stood gathered around the Titan's vast training grounds.

It was a large, grassy clearing with a miniature rocky gorge at one end and a forest of trees on the other end. Beastboy explained that their training grounds were meant to prepare them for fighting on all sorts of terrains. To the tantei's amazement, the Titans could also freeze the ground over completely or make it generate intense heat.

Finally, the girls returned.

Rin was now dressed in a more feminine and much smaller version of Sesshomaru's clothes. Of course, she didn't have the fur or armor, and instead of dark red and black, (I think that's the color, correct me if I'm wrong) the designs on her kimono were a light orange-yellow.

Shizuru had changed into a Chinese style fighting outfit similar to Kurama and Genkai's.

Botan and Yukina still wore traditional kimonos, but these had a few alterations. They were more form-fitting, to increase stealth, and there were high slits on both sides, to give greater freedom of movement.

Everyone else wore their usual training garb.

They all quickly agreed to form three groups: Reiki, weapons, and sparring. Genkai took Yahiko while Yusuke took Kenji to work on their reiki.

Yukina, Botan, and Rin needed to learn weaponry. Sesshomaru took Rin aside, Hiei entrusted no one other himself to teach Yukina, and Kurama taught Botan.

The others paired up and began to spar, learning each other's strengths and weaknesses.

After they spent an hour meditating, Genkai began to sense Yahiko's reiki increase to dramatic proportions.

"Get up, Yahiko and take a defensive stance." Yahiko gave her a semi-stubborn glance that reminded her of a much older Yusuke, but he obeyed.

"Do you want me to draw my sword?"

"No. Try and defend against my attack using only your reiki." Yahiko looked a little skeptical when her right index finger engulfed itself with bright blue energy.

"What if it doesn't work?" She didn't answer.

"REI GUN!" she yelled, pointing at him while a huge blast of reiki exploded from her fingertip.

Yahiko spiritually reached for his new-found reiki. It was there, but even by relying on pure reflexes and instincts, he didn't know how to use it for this. He evaded the blast, but still ended but with a deep scratch on his left arm.

Forgetting what Genkai had said, he quickly drew his katana with his right hand. Genkai prepared a second blast, even stronger than the first and shot it at him through her finger.

With a weapon in his hand, Yahiko gained a tiny bit of confidence. He faced the blast and did the only thing that made sense to him.

Instinct took over and he pushed all his reiki into the blade in his hand and cut through the Rei gun blast. Genkai stood, shocked when a yellow reiki blast sliced through her own, negating it immediately.

However, the yellow energy kept going and hit her before she could completely brace herself.

The effort had exhausted Yahiko and he fell to the ground unconscious. Genkai, although not really hurt, was also passed out.

"YAHIKO-SAN! MASTER GENKAI!" yelled a worried Shizuru, who had been getting some water when she passed the disaster.

With the help of Beastboy, she took the two of them to their rooms to sleep off the effects. Yukina came up briefly to heal Yahiko's injured arm and make sure there would be no lasting injuries.

While this had all been happening, Kenji was about to scream in frustration.

His `teacher' had the attention span of a small, fluffy bunny, and about one third of its patience. Every so often, Yusuke would fall asleep while meditating, stare at the girls training, or just look off into space.

About the time when Genkai and Yahiko started using their reiki, Yusuke caught on that his was pissing his student's off.

"Sorry," he said, with some actual conviction. "I didn't sleep very well last night…"

Kenji nodded and watched Yusuke face work out an idea. "We can do the same thing grandma over there is doing. I'll aim at you with my rei gun, and you just try not to get shot. Got it?"

"Like I have a choice," said Kenji with a little sarcasm.

Kenji took out his katana and got himself into a defensive stance, as Yahiko had done just a while earlier.

"SHOT GUN!" Yuske cried, shooting barrages of reiki blasts at the startled red head. Kenji used his godlike speed and dove out of the way.

He decided to try the same thing Yahiko had done. He grasped his katana tighter and felt for his reiki. It took a second, but he found it. Kenji reached for it with his mind, but it wouldn't come.

One of Yuske's blasts had snuck up on him, and, with no other choice, he tried to cut through it. Key work: TRIED.

With a crash that turned his stomach over, Kenji's katana blade broke in two. He was left holding the hilt of his favorite katana.

The normally calm teenager stared in disbelief for a split second before he felt his body begin to tremble.

Sapphire-blue eyes soon glowed with sapphire-blue light.

He felt rage build up inside of him. Not at Yusuke, he had only been trying to help, but at himself for letting the only thing he had received from his father, be destroyed.

Eyes still glowing, he also began to realize his reiki was almost squirming around inside him as though begging to be let out.

Yusuke watched the composed boy fly into frenzy at the loss of his sword.

"Oh shit"- he was cut off by a massive blue energy blast that exploded from Kenji's quivering form.

Managing to brace himself, he was still blown a good fifty feet away from where he had been standing. He smelled smoke and looked down.

His green jacket had been pretty much disintegrated off his body and his pants were only just concealing him. (Yusuke fans may take a moment and drool now)

The forest around him hadn't faired much better. Several trees had been uprooted or at least broken.

Kenji sat in the middle of it all, looking dazed.

"Kenji!" Rin came over clutching a stitch in her side as she ran. "Are you all right? Please look at me!"

Kenji looked at her with clueless eyes. They focused only on her face until finally, recognition dawned.

"Rin! What happened?" She brightened and instantly hugged him.

He was half surprised at her boldness, and half surprised at the damage he had inflicted everywhere. Yuske limped forward with a few burns on his leg, with a playful grin on his face.

"Tomorrow, Genkai and I switch."
