This is the Sess/Kagome ending to my story Flickering Flame. But there will be another epilogue chapter after this…

Chapter 19: I Love You….

That hand belonged to none other then Inutashio. Kagome glanced up at the man that she called a father and tilted her head to the side in a cute confused sort of way. Inutashio just chuckled at the look on her face.

"I think you may want to get up…Your cousin needs to breathe." Inutashio stated good naturedly.

Kagome blushed slightly before smiling demurely.

She got off of Kyuui and apologized. He simply shook his head and said apology accepted. Kagome smiled and said thanks. She looked at everyone quite curiously. Then when everyone was completely quiet wondering what kind of victory Kagome would be celebrating for defeating Hades. Thinking she would want a party they weren't prepared for what Kagome did say next.

"I'm Starving." Kagome said proving that point when her stomach growled; quite loudly at that might I add.

Everyone fell down anime style at that.

Kagome blinked stunned at everyone's behavior.

"What?" Kagome asked.

No one replied.

Kagome shrugged and went down to the kitchens to get some food for her starving stomach. After all she deserved a nice, warm, home cooked meal after her very long and tiring battle.

After Kagome had eaten her fill which was quite a lot she decided that a bath was in order. She sped off to the hot springs in the middle of the maze in her garden.

She sighed as she enjoyed the steaming waters. She sighed again a sound of pure pleasure. She cleansed herself thoroughly before stepping out of the springs and dressing into a beautiful ice blue kimono. It was light blue much lighter then her hair with silver and darker shades of blue snowflakes. Her crimson eyes soft and warm.

Kagome then proceeded back to the castle where everyone else was. Before she could get even halfway there she was stopped by Sesshoumaru. He was definitely a work of art in his pristine white kimono. But something was troubling her friend.

"Sesshoumaru…What's wrong?" She asked concerned.

Sesshoumaru looked at her and sighed softly.

"Kagome…" He whispered.

Now kagome was thoroughly confused. She had these little question marks appearing around her head in confusion. She then looked all around and was wondering if anyone else was named Kagome. Or if she had done anything that could get Sesshoumaru all worked up but her mind drew a blank.

"Huh?" was all kagome could ask.

"Come…Lets talk." Sesshoumaru said and began walking. He walked straight back to the hot springs where kagome had just returned from.

"Uh…You wanted to talk?" Kagome asked a bit unsure of herself.

"Yes…" Was all that the cold Youkai Prince said.

Kagome waited patiently for 5 minutes for him to say anything else. When he didn't kagome was starting to get a bit agitated and worried. Meanwhile Sesshoumaru was sweating a bit wondering how he was going to tell her the truth behind his feelings. This was going to be a challenge for him no doubt since he didn't really know how to speak his feelings since he has never had this problem before.

"Kagome…I have to confess something. Please don't interrupt me." Sesshoumaru said his voice shaking slightly. All Kagome did was nod quite scared at what he had to say if it was making even him nervous.

"I…Need you. I want to be with you. I love you with my entire being." Sesshoumaru said. Kagome was going to interrupt but Sesshoumaru shook his head signaling her not to because he was going to continue. "I've loved you since I first met you. How could I not. I always wanted to tell you but I was scared. Then Hiei came. It took everything I had not to kill him for trying to take you away from me and then for hurting you. So tell me Kagome…Do you accept my heart, my love, my life, my soul, will you be my mate? If not…Well…you're the only person that all of me will belong to…Forever." Sesshoumaru said.

Kagome stood there shocked into silence. Even though in her head she was doing a little happy dance. Sesshoumaru took her silence as a rejection and said.

"I see…I'll see you back at the house." Kagome shook out of her shock and dashed after the hurting Inu-Youkai.

"Sesshoumaru!!" Kagome yelled as she pounced on him from behind.

She landed on his back and flipped him over so she was straddling his waist and gently claimed his stunned lips with a hesitant kiss. The kiss soon became anything but hesitant. Sesshoumaru responded instantly and started kissing her back with years of pent up passion. Kagome moaned slightly into the kiss. Kagome nibbled his lower lip and soothed it with a lick causing Sesshoumaru to whimper slightly into the kiss. Sesshoumaru coaxed her to open up to him which Kagome did willingly. He slipped his tongue into her mouth as his tongue and hers started to have a mini-war.

They broke off for air soon panting. Kagome looked deep into Sesshoumaru's molten gold gaze and smiled at the handsome Prince.

"I love you Sesshoumaru. You shouldn't assume that I would turn you away…ever. I don't know when or how it happened but it did. I'm never letting you go…I accept all that you are if you accept all that I am. Be my mate." Kagome said.

Sesshoumaru smiled a true smile full of bliss as he kissed her softly and said "Of course my mate."

"But…We have to complete the Mating, my dear. I've waited long enough." Sesshoumaru said.

"Indeed." Kagome said as she led him back towards the hot springs.

Kagome smiled at Sesshoumaru coyly. She turned to him and dropped her kimono and pranced into the hot springs sending Sesshoumaru a less than innocent look.

Sesshoumaru's eyes took on a very lustful look and he shed his clothes within seconds and pounced onto the beautiful princess earning a small squeal. He tackled her in the water and playfully wrestled around with her. Kagome and He wrestled for the better part of 10 minutes before Sesshoumaru pinned Kagome to a rock in the middle of the springs.

He then licked at Kagome's face and neck. Kagome giggled and returned the favor by nipping at Sesshoumaru's pointed ears. Sesshoumaru growled his pleasure out to the young demoness. Sesshoumaru's hands roamed Kagome's perfect curves. Her perfectly round breasts fit perfectly in his hand as the perked from the attention and cold. Her lower half was still submerged in the water.

Kagome visibly shuddered as Sesshoumaru's clawed hand ran down her stomach and belly button down to her core. Sesshoumaru was suddenly flipped over.
