Normal POV

“Inuyasha! Something really important has come up!” Kagome shouted, as she got closer.

“Huh? What's so important that you have to run back here?” Inuyasha asked Kagome when she was within hearing range.

She stopped in front and leaned over to catch her breath. For about a minute she was like that. Inuyasha, not known for his patience, became irritated. He was about to yell at her to tell him when she grabbed onto his sleeve and pulled him into the hut. When they entered she saw that the others were there as well.

`Good. I can just tell everyone at once,' Kagome thought to herself.

“This is unusual? What brings you back so soon Lady Kagome?” Miroku asked.

“I've got some important news, and it's not good!”

“What is it Kagome?” Shippo asked.

Kagome and Inuyasha sat down with the others and she begun to explain to them what happened. She first told them about the collapsed woman and the tone of her skin. Then how she sensed an incredible power that could only be the jewel shards. None of them believed that it could have been jewel shards, than again they all knew that she was able to sense out the jewels power. What she told them next was even harder for them to swallow. She told them how she saw a Saimyosho luring three boys and that they may in some way be involved with demons, but that part even confused herself.

“Wait a minute Kagome. I thought you said demons didn't exist in your time? And aside from that how could Naraku even be there?” Sango asked.

Kagome thought about that question for a minute. There was no way for her to explain, expect for one thing that she didn't even want to imagine as the possibility. But as it turns out Miroku beat her to it.

“As much as I don't want to think about it. There could be the possibility that we never kill Naraku,” Miroku said with a grim look on is face.

“What! Don't be stupid Miroku! How could we not kill him!” Inuyasha shouted out in anger.

“Yes. I agree with Inuyasha on this. There's no way that could happen. We've come so close on many occasions,” Sango said.

“I hate to say it, but, that's actually what I was thinking too,” Kagome said with despair in her voice.

Kaeda had remained quiet as they thought things over and expressed there feeling on the situation. She brought a hand to her face while in thought, trying to block the others out. Finally, she cleared her throat and the others got silent.

“I believe it would be best if ye, Inuyasha and Lady Kagome, go to the present and see what these strangers that Lady Kagome encountered have to say. They my have more information that could better explain this problem,” Kaede said.

“Actually I was already going to meet up them. That's part of the reason why I came back. I was going to have Inuyasha come along,” Kagome said.

“What? Why do I have to get dragged into this!?” Inuyasha complained.

“Would you rather I go alone?”

Inuyasha stopped himself from answering and instead got up and walked outside.

“Well we better hurry. I don't know when they'll be expecting us but I get the feeling it's going to take a while to reach the place that they want to meet up at. See ya guys,” Kagome said, getting up as well.

They said their good byes and told her to be careful. She reinsured them that they would be fine and walked out. Inuyasha was waiting for her outside and let her climb onto his back so that he could carry her. They reached the well in no time and jumped in. When they reached the other side Kagome ran into her house.

“Hey! Where are you going?” Inuyasha asked.

“To find out where they want us to meet them.”

Genkai's Temple

“I see. So this girl was able to both see and identify that demon insect that you three were chasing,” Genkai repeated, to make sure she got it right.

“Yes. She also seemed very interested in how we were able to see it ourselves. I think talking to her could prove to be very useful. If she knew what it was than she might know who this Naraku is as well,” Kurama said.

“Hey Kurama. Do you think she'll come alone?” Yusuke asked.

“Probably not. I think we should be prepared incase anything should happen.”

“I don't care if this girl brings someone with her or not but if a fight breaks out you better not damage my temple,” Genkai said, more so to Yusuke than Kurama.

“Don't worry grandma. Nothing's going to happen to your stupid temple. Now Kurama. How strong do you think she is? And if she brings someone or more how strong do you think they're going to be? Cause I couldn't really sense anything from her,” Yusuke said.

“There's no way to tell. It would be best if we didn't take any chances,” Kurama said.

“Man this sucks. I can't do anything,” Kuwabara complained.

A Few Hours Later

“Where the hell is she!?” Yusuke yelled, showing his impatience.

“Calm down Yusuke. I'm sure she will arrive any moment now,” Kurama said.

“Well she better! I may have said later but not this late! If she doesn't,” Kurama then interrupted Yusuke, while he was in the middle of his rant.

“Quiet Yusuke! I think I sense someone. It feels like demon energy and it's quiet powerful, maybe around our level. I think I also sense someone else with it. But it feels like spirit energy. Maybe it's the girl,” Kurama said.

Yusuke smirked to himself. Seeing this Kurama shook his head and let out a sigh.

“Yusuke. You do know that we're trying to avoid starting a fight, right? We need to find out what they know,” Kurama said.

Meanwhile

Inuyasha sniffed the air carefully. He had let Kagome climb off his back before downing so. Kagome looked at there surrounding while he was busy.

“Ok. I smell some scents now. You did say they were human right?” Inuyasha asked.

Without looking at him Kagome answered.

“Yeah. Why? Are there demons up there as well?”

“I… don't know. There are human scents that lead up these stairs but there's also one that's not really human. I mean it does still smell human but I get a feeling that it's not at the same time,” Inuyasha explained.

“Than we'll have to be extra careful,” Kagome said.

They proceeded up they stairs, looking around themselves the entire time. When they were able to see the top they stopped.

“Kagome stay here. I'll go on ahead to make sure it's safe.”

“But wait Inuyasha! If you go on your own than they might attack. They don't know you!” Kagome yelled as Inuyasha ran for the top.

When Inuyasha reached the top he got ready for anything. With his right hand placed on the hilt of his sword he scanned the area. He noticed right away two teenage boys standing by steps to a temple. The one wearing green was pointing his right index finger at him and the one wearing red was reaching into his hair.

“Who the hell are you?” Yusuke asked.

“What are you going to do if I don't say? Continue to point at me like an idiot!” Inuyasha shouted at him.

“Oh I'll show you!” Yusuke yelled, running at him.

“Yusuke stop! I said we weren't trying to start a fight!” Kurama yelled.

But it fell on deaf ears. Yusuke continued to run at Inuyasha. Deciding that he wouldn't use his sword Inuyasha leapt towards Yusuke, fist raised. Yusuke stopped and waited for Inuyasha to get closer. When he was Yusuke rolled out of the way and Inuyasha's fist punched straight into the ground. Ready to counter he ran up to a surprised Inuyasha and delivered a powerful right punch of his own. His fist connected with the left side of Inuyasha's face and sent him flying back some.

Too surprised by Yusuke's speed and strength Inuyasha was unable to prevent his fall and hit the ground with a hard thud. Inuyasha sat up and shook his head. His ears twitched when he heard the boy, now known as Yusuke, yell something to him.

“I'll ask you one more time and if you don't answer than I'm going to get serious because now isn't the time to be playing around,” Yusuke said.

Inuyasha got up to his feet and stared Yusuke down. He spit some blood out of his mouth before responding.

“Heh. You move a lot faster than any human I've seen before, and stronger too. But now that you've punched me do you think I'm just going to forget about it!” Inuyasha shouted while he reached for his sword.

Seeing that the demon was reaching for its weapon Yusuke pointed his right index finger at him and braced it with his left hand.

“If that's the case than I'm not holding,” Yusuke said.

“Good!” Inuyasha shouted as he drew Tessaiga and charged.

Yusuke started to slowly gather his spirit energy into the tip of his finger, not wanting to alert his opponent. Inuyasha prepared to use the Wind Scar as he ran, but before he could even get close to ready he was stopped in his tracks. He heard in the distance a voice yell something. Before he knew it the rosary beads around his neck lit up and pulled him down and face first into the ground. Yusuke would have broke out laughing if he knew what just happened. Instead he lost his concentration and the spirit energy he was gathering dispersed.

“What just happened? I didn't do anything,” Yusuke mumbled.

“Inuyasha! I told you not to go on ahead! Now see what you've done! They probably think we're their enemy now!” Kagome yelled as she stormed over to the fallen hanyou.

Kurama walked over to Yusuke. When he reached him he was tempted to hit Yusuke upside his head but decided not to.

“Yusuke. I thought I told you that we were going to try and avoid fighting,” Kurama said, annoyance clearly filling his voice.

“Yeah well I needed to vent out some anger. Besides he called me an idiot,” Yusuke said, trying to defend himself.

Kurama let out a sigh. He knew it would be pointless to continue further. So instead he walked over to the arguing hanyou and girl. When he reached them they stopped and glanced at him.

“What do you want?! Can't you see that we're busy!” Inuyasha yelled.

“Inuyasha! Knock it off. Eh I'm sorry for him. He rushes into things without thinking most of the time,” Kagome said.

“Yeah!”

“That's alright. I know someone that's exactly the same way,” Kurama said with a smile.

Just then Kuwabara came bursting through the temple doors. He wasn't sure what to say when he came out and saw everyone. So he just asked it.

“What's going on?”

“What does it look like dofus. That girl's here and she brought a friend,” Yusuke said.

“Hey! Just because I lost my powers Urameshi doesn't mean that you can call me whatever you want! I'll still bash your head in the ground!”

“Sure, sure. Whatever Kuwabara,” Yusuke said, completely ignoring him.

“Well I'm sure it would best if we took this inside and got situated. Come this way,” Kurama said, leading Kagome and the still angry Inuyasha.

Yusuke kept a close eye on Inuyasha as they stepped inside. Once everyone was inside they went to the living room area of the temple. Waiting there was Genkai.

“I thought the plan was to not attack them dimwit.”

“Hey! Leave me alone. He started it anyway,” Yusuke said, crossing his arms and looking away.

“What! You came at me first you bastard,” Inuyasha yelled.

Both Kagome and Kurama calmed their respectful friend down, in hopes that it would prevent another fight from occurring. It did and Yusuke sat down next to Genkai, along with Kuwabara and Kurama while Kagome and Inuyasha stayed on the other side of the room. Both sides stayed quite, not sure who should start first. Finally Kagome spoke up.

“Ok. So we're here now so tell us how you know about demons,” Kagome demanded more than asked.

“We will shortly. But it seems we are still missing one person,” Kurama said.

Before Kagome could ask the door opened. Inuyasha and Kagome both turned and looked to see who and the person standing there looked to be in his late teens, early twenties. He had short brown hair, the word jr on his forehead, and a pacifier in his mouth.

Instead of giving his usually “yo” Koenma looked at the two guests closely. It appeared like he was trying to figure something out by staring at them. Finally Inuyasha let out his anger.

“Hey! Stop staring at us!”

That seemed to bring Koenma back to his senses. But instead of saying hello he said something else, which surprised everyone.

“Inuyasha?! How are you still alive?!”

It left everyone speechless. The YYH gang was left speechless because they now weren't sure what was going on and Inuyasha and Kagome were confused as to how this stranger knew who Inuyasha was, let alone what he had just said.

“Who the hell are you and how do you know my name?!” Inuyasha asked/yelled.

Koenma took time to recover himself. After clearing his throat he calmly turned to Yusuke and asked, “Where did you find these two?”

“Well we actually met that girl earlier today, but that demon didn't show up until she met up with us here. Why?”

“Hm. I see. But this is impossible,” Koenma mumbled.

Thanks to Inuyasha's sensitive hearing he was able to hear what Koenma said. But rather than speaking out loud, like usual, he thought to himself.

`What does he mean impossible? Besides that how does he even now my name? And what's with his scent? He doesn't smell human or demon?'

Before Inuyasha could say anything out loud Koenma turned and looked at him hard. As a result Inuyasha glared at him. Kagome just sat there with a dumbfounded expression while looking back and forth between Inuyasha and the others.

“Wait a minute. What's going on here?” Kagome asked.

“That's what I want to know too,” Kuwabara said.

“Koenma. Would you care to elaborate what's going on?” Kurama asked.

“Yes I will. You see after this incident started and you informed me I decided to go through some old records. When I was searching through the files, which for this case goes back five hundred years, I discovered something. What I found was actually information on the group of people that I told you about. Out of curiosity I looked through their files. One file however was incomplete so we have no clue who that member was but the rest was still in as good condition as could be,” Koenma said.

He paused momentarily to catch his breath.

“Now what I'm finding interesting is that going by the photos that we have and the information it appears that a member of that group is sitting right in front of us.”

Yusuke and the others, more so him and Kuwabara, made an outburst of some kind, where as Inuyasha and Kagome weren't sure if they should hurry and get out of there or stay and find out where this would lead to.

“Just who the hell are you people?! How do you know something like that anyways?!” Inuyasha yelled.

“I will explain everything to you under one condition,” Koenma said.

“And that would be?” Kagome asked.

“You must first tell me how he is here. With out that information I cannot allow either of you to leave. But if you tell me then I'll explain what's going on.”

Kagome moved closer to Inuyasha and the two began to whisper to each other. At times it looked like they were about to hit each other but they finally came to an agree meant. Kagome looked back to Koenma and said, “Ok. But you better keep your end of the deal.”

“Of course.”
