Chapter 4: A.M.W.

It was Friday night at Amber's house. The entire anime gang was there. "So, does anyone have anything to say before we watch Yu Yu videos?" asked Amber.

"Um…I do…" said Sarah.

"Ooh, what?" asked Amanda.

"I kinda…Well, you know the short boy? The one Kenny introed us to?" she started.

"Yeah…did something happen between you and him?" asked Kassi.

"Well…he snuck up behind me in the woods behind my house today…"

"What happened, tell us!" shouted Kenny.

"We talked for a few minutes…and then he kissed me…"

"Are you sure you didn't kiss him?" Kenny sounded skeptical.

"I swear, he kissed me!" Sarah defended herself.

"Okay, okay. I was talking to Kurama, though, and he hinted that Hiei is very…closed off," Kenny said.

"Oh well, time for the movie!" Amber popped in the movie, and they all sat around the room watching, but one girl remembered her encounter with a certain bad-tempered Koorime…

~~~Flashback~~~

"Alright, who's there? I can't see you, but I can tell you're there." Sarah stood with her hands on her hips.

Hiei jumped out of a tree he had been sitting in. This stupid noisy human had woken him from his nap. He recognized her from the school.

"Oh, hi," she said, recognizing him too. "You're Hiei, right?"

"Hn."

"I take that as a yes. What are you doing in my woods?"

"Your woods?"

"Yeah. My family has owned this land since…1893, I think."

"Hn." `Stupid humans,' he thought.

"Anyway, what are you doing out here?"

"None of your business."

"Technically, it is. This is my land, you're trespassing."

`She's either very brave or very stupid to accuse me of something…' Hiei thought. "You're…" he started, then stopped when he saw how she was looking at him. "What?"

"Nothing," she lied quickly. `Man, he'd freak if he knew I liked him…'

Hiei had read her mind and just stood there.

"What?" it was Sarah's turn to ask.

"Nothing," he answered back.

They just stood there, staring at each other. Finally, Sarah said "Umm…I should be…"

She was cut off by a mouth closing over hers. Her eyes widened and she pushed him away. "I have…to go now…" She ran off. Hiei just stood there, working things out in his own head for a few minutes. Then he walked out of the woods, toward the place the rest of the S.D.s were staying.

Sarah sighed and started watching the movie. They all fell asleep after a few more hours.

"You understand your job?" a hushed male voice asked.

"Yes sir," answered a younger voice.

"Good. You start tomorrow."

"Yes sir."
