Hiei glared at the video game screen as he repeatedly tapped the little red button to make his character kick and hit. He'd never really cared for video games but it had been some type of weekly ritual for them to get together and go to the arcade so he'd learned to live with it. The only game he really cared for was the one far off in the corner of the arcade that he hadn't bothered to learn the name of. All he knew was that you continued to beat the hell out of the opponent until they died and you moved on. The graphics were bad, the phrases said once won or lost were also lame, but he didn't care because it had blood and death in it.
Kurama sighed as he looked at his friend from the wall, his arms crossed loosely over his chest. He didn't care for video games either and also didn't feel like playing them much. Except for the one with the little goblins which he'd easily beaten a total of eighty-nine times, but all those were currently occupied. Yusuke was playing one of those driving games, as was Kuwabara who sat in the one next to him. Kurama turned his lovely green eyes to a system as one of the games he actually liked opened up. He decided against walking over to it however, the red head remained by the doorway. He wasn't sure why but he didn't feel like moving, maybe because he didn't like the idea of someone slipping into the arcade to cause a problem.
He jumped as he realized someone stood beside him, tearing his gaze from the outside sunlight.
“Hn, what are you doing?” Hiei asked as he stood beside Kurama, his hands tucked in the pockets of his jeans.
“Oh, nothing,” Kurama replied looking at Hiei, his voice a little breathy.
“That's a lie,” Hiei said in his low voice and his red eyes narrowed, “You're watching for him, aren't you?”
“For who?”
“Don't try to fool me, you know who just as well as I do,”
Kurama sighed half heartedly, Hiei was right, he did know who, “Not intentionally. Just…a natural notion,”
“You have a natural notion to watch out for me?” Hiei asked, perking a brow. Kurama sighed lightly.
“In a way,” he said and shrugged himself away from the wall. He and Hiei had been with each other for a while, not officially, but flirting was obvious.
“Hn,” Hiei said and walked past Kurama.
“Hiei,” Kurama said and caught the demon's arm. Hiei looked at Kurama's hand, then up at Kurama. The red head looked from side to side, then back at Yusuke and Kuwabara, when he saw the two humans were busy with their games he slipped his hand into Hiei's and pulled the teenager outside the arcade and into the ally beside it.
“Well what is it?” Hiei asked. Kurama sighed a little, letting Hiei's hand go.
“I don't know. I just don't like to see you hurt,” Kurama said, letting his soft eyes lock with Hiei's. Hiei's eyes seemed averted, like he wasn't really paying as much attention to the teenager as he was to the two ends of the ally. Kurama touched the bottom of Hiei's chin and held his crimson gaze, “Hiei.”
“Fine, whatever,” Hiei said and turned his eyes away. Kurama lightly kissed his cheek.
“Let's go back inside,” Kurama said and turned back for the arcade. Hiei couldn't help but watch the sway of the slender teens hips as he walked. It was because of his father he was bisexual. He'd had female crushes as he grew up, but what is father had done to him that he couldn't help but feel sexual towards males as well. Something he hated his father for even more, as if he was considered screwed up enough.
Kurama glanced his smooth eyes over his shoulder at Hiei and smirked softly as he noticed his friend's eyes on his hips. They swayed the slightest bit more without letting it be obvious he was taunting. Hiei growled to himself, damn Kurama for playing him like this. Damn it to hell.
“Kurama, stop it,” Hiei said and let his gaze move to the arcade as they walked back inside.
“Stop what? I have no idea what you're talking about, Hiei,” Kurama said innocently as he noticed Yusuke and Kuwabara. The two perked opposite brows as they watched. Kurama laughed a bit and Hiei crossed his arms, glaring off to the side.
“Enjoying the view?” Yusuke asked.
“Hn,” Hiei said his voice still in `growl' mode. Yusuke sniggered and Kuwabara laughed a bit. Hiei shot them both a glare and they stopped suddenly in their laughing.
