Sniff
Kurama put his arm around his mate's shoulder and pulled her closer. She put her face in her shoulder and arms around her waist. “There, there Lisha, it's ok.” He rubbed his hand up and down her arm.
“I-I-I know `Rama, I just, m-miss them.” She pulled a small cloth out from her small black purse and whipped her tears out of her eyes. “She made the flower embroidery on the corner, and the string of greens all the way around.” She sniffed again and put her face back into Kurama's side.
“It's very lovely Lisha.”
“Thank you, but I'm afraid that it's my m-mama that you should b-b-be telling.” She sniffed and started crying again. “'Rama, could you give me a minuet? Please?”
He let his hold on her go. “Of course, if you need me, I'll be right behind you, a little ways back.”
Lisha nodded and stepped foreword. She kneeled down and bowed slightly over. It was difficult with her large stomach. “Mama, Papa, I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to upset you guys. That was Kurama, my mate, but you'd know it as husband. He's a youkai, kitsune. He says that the term for what our children will be is called hanyou. It's been kind of a warm winter, I'm glad. I'm due in about a month, our first child, you're grandchild. I wish that you could be here, I really think it'd be better if I had my mama there with me.” She rubbed her hands over her stomach. “But then, if you guys hadn't gotten into that accident, I never would have met `Rama. I guess what you say is true mama, `everything happens for a reason'. I lost my parents, but I found a life mate and gained a child. I really miss you guys, but I'm sure that I'll make a great mama, `Rama sure thinks so.” She smiled. She leaned foreword and adjusted the flowers that Kurama had bought to plant in front of the grave. “It was his idea to buy flowers, but I made sure that they were alyssum, your favorite because they grew nearly anywhere and all you had to do was water them.”
Kurama heard what she said at her parents' graves thanks to demonic hearing. He smiled and held his arms crossed. He stood back and waited for her to finish.
“I hope you guys are happy wherever you are. I won't see you for quite some time, I hope.” She smiled and leaned back, but realized that standing was a futile effort. “Um…'Rama?” She called behind her.
He walked foreword and stopped right behind her. “Is something wrong fair lady?”
Lisha blushed at his comment. “Uh…I, er…kinda, you see…I can't get up.”
Kurama smiled and held in a chuckle. “Here, allow me to help you.” He bent over and scooped her up bridal style. Lisha `eep'ed and threw her arms around Kurama's neck. “Where to now fair lady?”
Lisha giggled and buried her nose in his shoulder. “Let's go visit with Lindsay and Mark. I haven't seen them in ages.”
“As you wish, hold on.” He ran off towards the apartments. When they finally arrived, he had to hold her around the waist to make sure that she didn't wobble and fall down. Lisha hit the buzzer, but got no response. Kurama closed his eyes. “Lisha, maybe it'd be best if we just go back to Genkai's place, they're a bit…busy.”
“Busy? How?” She blinked at him.
Kurama sighed, sometimes her innocence was inconvenient. “They're…they have a previous engagement.” Lisha simply tilted her head to the side. “Lish,” he leaned over into her ear. “They're in the bed.”
“They're sleeping?”
“No.”
She thought for a moment. Kurama watched in fascinated amusement as her face went from deep concentration, to realization, to weirded out with a small tinge of a blush. “Oh.”
“`Oh'? Is that all that you have to say?”
“Yeah, just `oh'. Let's get back to the temple.”
“Of course.” Kurama picked her up again and ran back to the temple.

Azriel looked over at her mate. “Hiei, what's wrong?”
Hiei crossed his arms. “What exactly are they doing?” He asked confused.
“It's a ningen thing, mostly girls do it. To remember loved ones that have passed on, they visit their grave and pay respect. Some do it just by showing up, others talk to the lost ones, and others plant flowers, or leave gifts.” She looked at Hiei's face. “Something wrong?”
“We just acknowledge that someone has died. There's the mourning period of two days, then it's over, you never mourn over them again, and you don't `pay respects' either. Once someone dies, that's it.”
“See, I knew youkai were evil cold heartless bastards.” She smiled at him.
“But I'm your evil, cold, heartless bastard.” He slung an arm around her waist and pulled her closer.
“That's right, you're all mine.” She smirked and slipped her arms around his neck.
“Possessive are we?” He leaned his forehead against hers.
“You wouldn't have it any other way.”
Hiei chuckled. “No, Yame, I don't believe that I would.” He leaned foreword and closed the gap between them.
Hiei chuckled. “No, Yame, I don't believe that I would.” He leaned foreword and closed the gap between them.

Lisha crawled out of bed and crept to the dresser. She reached up and grabbed her cell phone. She flipped it open and tapped in the number.
At the other end, a disgruntled Lindsay stumbled out of her room. She walked over to the phone, tripping over the table in the process. “Hel-hello?” She said stifling a yawn.
“Lindsay?”
“Lisha, it's” she glanced at the clock “three in the morning. What do you want?”
“A cheeseburger.”
Lindsay fell onto the ground, her head hitting the wall. “Lisha,”
“Yes?” she replied with an innocent tone.
Lindsay rolled her eyes. “You called me,”
“Yes.”
“At three in the morning,”
“Mmmhmmm.”
“To tell me,”
“Yeah,”
“That you want, A FUCKING CHEESEBURGER!?”
“Yup, that's about it.” Lisha smiled happily.
Lindsay ran a hand through her hair agitated. “Now remind me why you can't just have Kurama go and get it?”
“Because I already sent him out for a taco!” Lisha said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Please Lindsay, I went out for you!”
“But I wanted normal food that you can find at any 24 hour convenience store! Lisha just go back to sleep and get a burger in the morning or something.”
“But,” Lindsay heard her sniff. “I want one now.”
She banged her head on the wall. “Dammit Lish, don't start crying.” She heard a few more sniffles. “Fine, I'll get your stupid cheese burger with everything on it. I'll even throw in fries and a soda if you'll shut up.”
“Really? Thank you so much! I love you Lindsay!”
“Right, you only love me because I'm getting you food.” Lindsay heard a giggle then the line went dead. She grumbled as she went to her room and grabbed suitable clothing to cover herself and keep the February winds from her. She scribbled a quick note to Mark explaining where she was in case he or Sukira woke up.
