Soryou had grown quite a bit during the last year. Being hanyou, she couldn't conceal her ears, but that didn't discourage Lisha from taking her out places that a normal child would with Lindsay and Hotaru, Lindsay's daughter. Soryou looked exactly like her mother, save for her small fox ears.

Lisha stood in her room in front of her closet. Kurama had once again left on a mission, so she had no second opinion of what to wear without running the risk of walking in on Yukina and her mate. “Maybe I should visit that bar.”

“I'm mated with child, there's no way I can go there anymore.”

“But, I only just filled more into my curves, I look even more delicious.”

“I haven't gone there since I was twelve, and that was to help papa unload.”

“But I'm over 21 now.”

“It'll make me seem un-faithful.”

“If he's not here to take car of my needs, that's his own fault.”

She reached into her closet. She pulled out an off the shoulders long sleeve red shirt and a black mini. “Yeah, he said he'd be here whenever I'd need him, and he's not here.” She slipped into the clothes and walked out the door. She grabbed her knee-high boots and pulled those on. After she grabbed her purse she went down to Yukina's room and gently knocked on the door.

Yukina came out, pulling the bow into her hair. “What's wrong Lisha?”

“Would you mind watching Soryou for a bit?”

“Not at all, may I ask where you're going?”

“Just…out for a bit of fresh air, take a walk…I might not be back till morning though.”

Yukina flipped her hair off her shoulder. “Have a nice time.”

Lisha bowed and left. She walked the route to the one place that could give her the release that she sought and stood in front. `Slurshis.'

She walked in and sat at the bar. “What'll it be little lady?”

“52 west and a shot.” She said simply.

The bartender's eyes made their way up and down her body. “Lex 41?”

“Mmm, 46.”

He handed her a shot glass filled with the alcohol. “A good challenge for me. I like your style missy, you new around here?”

“Partner's MIA, catch my drift?” Lisha crossed her legs and leaned against the counter.

“Naughty little girl.” To which Lisha simply smirked. “I'll throw the word around a bit, you'll be in that little room in no time.”

“Thanks.” She slipped a few bills onto the counter as he walked off.

After about a half hour, someone approached her. His hair was short and black, and his eyes were dark brown. “Hey, need a lift?” He leaned casually against the bar.

Lisha turned and smiled. At least he wasn't ugly. “Depends, where you headed?”

“I was thinking about checking into a local motel? How about you?”
“I don't know, I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying.” She turned around and leaned against the bar.

He pulled out a wad of cash. “Does this tickle your fancy?”

“Mmm, now you're speaking my language.” She hopped off the stool and hooked her arms around his after he slipped the money back into his pocket. “Let's save money and use the `little room.'” She led him out back and up the stairs to the proper rooms.

---------

The shouts and cries were lost in the soundproofed walls as they both reached climax. Once the aftereffects wore off, he got out of the bed and went to his clothes. She climbed out on the other side of the bed and started to dress. “You're my favorite, Muzai.”

Lisha pulled her skirt on and smiled. “You're one of the best paying regulars Sammie. I won't be in for a bit though, the MIA partner is coming back today.” She pulled her boots up her legs.

“That's a shame, it won't be the same with you gone.”

She slipped an arm around his waist. “Don't worry, I'll be back soon.”

He slipped the money into the front of her shirt. “Best keep your hands off, this is the last of today's money.”

She giggled and climbed out the window, followed by the guy not long afterwards. She quickly made her way down the street to the corner store. She went in and grabbed a few bags of chips and a bottle of soda water. “That it for you ma'am?”

Lisha leaned her head in her hands. “A bottle of aspirin would be nice.” She mumbled.

He nodded and slipped the bottle into the bag as well. She reached to grab her money to pay for it, but he stopped her. “Don't, you've still got plenty of credit.”

“Thanks.” She took the bag and headed for Lindsay's apartment. She knocked softly on the door. Lisha opened, and looked shocked to see her friend at the door. “Hey, the water's out at the temple, can I use your shower?”

“Sure, come one in.” Lindsay moved to the side to let her friend in. “Don't mind the mess, Hotaru still doesn't like to clean up after herself.”

Lisha smiled and stepped over the mess. “She's nearly two isn't she?”

“Yup, you need anything?”

Lisha shook her head and went into the restroom. She stepped into the shower and left the water over her until she felt safe that the guy's smell was off of her. She came out of the room and went to the door. “I'd stay longer, but `Rama's coming home today, I'll see you guys later!” She skipped out the door and down the steps.

When she made it to the top of the steps, the first thing she saw was Kurama standing at the door. “'Rama!” She ran over to him and launched into his arms and gave him a long kiss.

He caught her easily. “It's nice to see you again too, Lisha.” He said after they broke the kiss. “I wasn't gone that long was I?”

“Two weeks is a long time `Rama.” She jumped off of him and skipped into the house. “I'll make a special lunch just for my `Rama. You'd better eat it to!” She ran off into the kitchen. She leaned against the counter and let out the breath that she had been holding. He didn't suspect anything, or if he did, he didn't show it.

Kurama walked into the house and sat down on the couch next to Yukina. “Yukina, if I ask you a question, would you answer me honestly?”

She looked at him. “Of course Kurama.”

“Has Lisha been acting a bit…off?”

Yukina thought for a moment. “Well, she does seem to go for walks quite a bit late at night. She's been doing it for about two years now. Whenever you're out on the missions she goes off. I think she has trouble being along for too long.”

Kurama nodded his head and took in all the information. But it didn't explain what that man had said last night. “I'm going to go make sure Lisha doesn't blow up your kitchen.” He got up and went to said room.

He found Lisha standing on the counter digging through the cupboard while the pan she had on the stove was bubbling over. He walked over to it and turned off the fire. “Ahem.”

She stopped her futile attempt to find the garlic. “Hey `Rama, uh, could you drain that for me.” She pointed to the pot that had the fire turned off, but the contents were still floating around in the water. He took the pot and drained it like she asked. “Thank you!” She leaned over and planed a soft kiss on his cheek.

“What is this?” he asked as he poured it back into the pan.

“Uh…it's supposed to be meat and cheese ravioli, but the pasta bread stuff wouldn't cooperate.” She shrugged and poured the sauce into the would-be ravioli. “It should still taste good all the same.” She picked up two bowls and spooned the food into them. Kurama grabbed two forks and followed her to the table. He took a bite. “Well?” She looked at him with hopeful eyes.

“It's quite good.” He gave her a reassuring smile. They ate the rest of the meal in a comfortable silence. After they had cleaned up, they went to sit together on the couch. “Lisha, has something been bothering you?”

She sat up out of his arms quickly. “Why would something be wrong?”

“Yukina told me that you've been walking out by yourself a lot whenever I leave on a mission.”

She nodded slowly. “I am, I just need to think outside of the room.”

He leaned his elbow on the couch. “And you have to go out all night?”

Lisha put her hands over her stomach. “It's hard to be in the bed that we share alone `Rama. It leaves me feeling empty.”

“How exactly do you get rid of that empty feeling? Hmm?”

“I go for walks around in the forest. Last night I wanted some soda water, so I went out and bought it.”

He looked around. “I didn't see you come in with a bag.”

“I must've left it at Lindsay's house.”

He stood up. “What were you doing way on that end of town Lisha?”

“I was visiting my friend, and-”

“I thought that you said you went to buy some soda water!”

“I did! I went to Lindsay's to use her shower and left the bag there!”
“Why would you need their shower when the one here works perfectly well?”

“I don't know! I felt like it!”

Kurama grabbed her wrist and lifted her off the couch. “You're hiding something Lisha, what is it?”

“Why would I hide something from you?” She squirmed and tried to get out of his grip, but he didn't let go.

“That's what I'd like to know.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a paper folded up. “I found this on a bar's board. May I ask why your picture is on it?” He let her go to read the paper.

“Oh, my-”

“Still say that you're not hiding anything from me?” His growl sounded.

Lisha crumpled to the ground. “It's your fault!”

He grabbed her wrist and lifted her up. “My fault? How the hell is this my fault!”

She shook the tears out of her eyes. “You weren't here when I needed you like you promised you always would!”

“I'm out keeping you safe!”

“From what? Other demons? I can do that for myself asshole!”

His hand went up and made contact with her face. She recoiled back to the wall. He followed her and put his nose close to hers. “You belong to me, and only me. Your body is mine. You are not to sell it to others for pleasure that they do not deserve. You'll do well to remember that, got it?” She put her hands on his chest to try to push him off of her. He grabbed her wrists and held them above her head. “I asked you if you understood me bitch?”

“Yes.” She mumbled.

“I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that.”

“I said `yes'!” she screamed with the tears streaming out of her eyes.

“Good.” He let her go. She fell to the floor in a small heap. Sobs racked her body as he left the room to go to the forest.

-----------

Azriel started running faster through the forest. Hiei increased his speed to catch up to her. “Yame, what's the hurry?”

“Something's wrong Hiei! I just know it!” She stopped running and looked down the tree. Hiei landed right next to her. “I-is that Kurama?”

Hiei looked down and nodded. He hopped down the tree in front of the kitsune. “Any specific reason that you're in your fox form.”

“She's been disloyal to me,” Kurama growled and sat on a group of tree roots, “and had to be punished.”

“Who-?”

Azriel didn't wait for the fox to finish and ran to the temple. Sorrow hit her as soon as she opened the door. She winced, it was too strong for her to walk through. She closed the door and sat against it. “Lisha, what exactly have you been doing while we were on those damn missions?”
