Yu Yu Hakusho: The Black Roses
A/N: Yes, I LIVE!! GO ME!
*Ahem* Well, yes, it's been awhile, but I've been busy and such. I've combined two chapters into one. Deal with it.
Chapter 6:
Battle in the Shadows
Juu smirked at them, reaching into his hair and pulled out a scythe*, sighing. "So be it," And with that, he rushed forward. "You three think you can challenge me? All of you have already felt my sting, do you actually think that you can stand a chance?" And as they rose their guard to block his scythe, he dissapeared, reappearing behind them, swinging his scythe.
Sefiin had expected as such, and grabbed the two of them before jumping out of the way, the scythe grazing his leg as he jumped. He grunted and turned to Juu, who just ran forward, dissapearing, but instead of reappearing in one definate spot this time, he kept on dissapearing and reappearing. He always had loved to use mind games.
"Can you hit me? Come on, come and try! Hit me! Are you afraid?" He taunted them through the neverending shadow, and Jenta fell for it. She charged forward at the shadows, and immediatly returned from the opposite side of the circle of shadow. Her clothes were torn, and she was a bloody mess. She collapsed to her knees, looking to Sefiin and Halo for a moment before passing out. A cold laugh echoed through the circle.
"And unless you want to wither away and die here, then I suggest you try and escape as well, although I can't promise that you won't get hurt as well." The shadows seemed to smirk as they focused into one area, turning back into Juu. He had ripped the blade part off the scythe and threw it like a boomerang at Sefiin. Halo, knowing very well that Sefiin would be the only one able to even fight Juu evenly, stuck his arm out to block the blade. It lodged itself deep into his arm, and after grunting he fell to the ground on his knees, staring at Juu.
"You bastard...He'll kill you...He'll end this..." Halo muttered before passing out as well.
Juu smirked and took the useless scythe handle and threw it to the side, it plummeting from that tall ledge down into the Makai. He dissapeared and reappeared directly behind Sefiin, grabbing onto his arms. He bashed his head into Sefiin's, knocking it forward. He kicked Sefiin right in the middle of his back, letting go as he stumbled forward. Sefiin put his hand out and a bunch of material from the ledge formed into his spear, the Rue Fall. He quickly turned around and charged at Juu. He tried thrusting it through his head, but by the time it would have made contact Juu had already dissapeared.
He held his Black Rose Staff, charging forward and purposely slipping at the last moment, sliding under Sefiin's legs and whacked him in the back with the staff. He swung it forcefully, it basically slapping Sefiin around. He then took the staff and thrust the bottom of it through Sefiin's stomach, withdrawing it quickly. He stood there, stunned for a moment.
By now, Halo and Jenta and reawoken, and saw Juu impale Sefiin. They slowly, yet silently snuck up behind him, and Jenta kicked him in the back of his knees, making him collapse to the floor. Then Halo grabbed the blade of the scythe out of his arm and began stabbing Juu with it. Everywhere. In his back, in his legs, in his arms, right inbetween his eyes, anywhere he could get to, seeming to think that Sefiin was dead.
After being basically destroyed, Juu laughed. "You fools...mere dogs can't defeat me..." He dematerialized and as the shadows focused to another part of the ledge, his voice rang out, "That which defeats a monster," The shadows condensed into him, smirking with a bloodlust, "Is always a man."
But, before he could strike, Jenta's body froze. Halo jerked around, trying to find the reason. But, without wasting any time, he grabbed both Sefiin and Jenta, and dissapeared into the night.
Juu smirked, looking up into the air at two floating figures, "Welcome back, old friends!"

Oooooh...it's over. Deal with it. This fic is drawing to a close. A couple chapters to go until I start 'Roses of Red and Black'
