And so the plot thickens...Sydnie comment, "He did nothing!" That makes me wonder...I already have an idea about what Cal the ass did to her, but as for cain I think it's exactly what she said, "He did nothing!" Anyway I can't wait until it all comes out. keep it going Sue!!

Well, I hope posting it did make you happy, 'cause it sure made me happy!! I knew we'd see those handcuffs again. Hmm...about Cain doing nothing gives me the impression that maybe something happened to her that could have been prevented, but it wasn't. Well, I'm off to read Torrent now haha!!

I love the story, but I'm so confused! Cain hates Cal, but he's obligated to look into the murder. Sydnie hates Cain, which may explain why she was with Cal in the first place, but apparently they had a big enough falling out that she needed or wanted to kill him. Bas and Sydnie supposedly hate each other, but they still seem to like each other at times. I really don't get Sydnie. She's mad at Cain for not doing anything for her, and yet when Bas tries to do anything for her, she bites his head off. Is it that she doesn't want Bas's help, or that she doesn't want anyone's help? Guess I'll have to wait and see. It's so rare to see a female cat called a female dog, isn't it?

oh my! syd doesn't like cain at all huh?? Sounds like she needed him or better yet a crime was commited against her and no one was there to avenge her...no justice for the overlooked in society sort of thing. Makes me feel for her, b/c I can feel the hate and the anger in her passion filled responses to Bas' questions. Syd is a fighter b/c she has to be, it seems that the only way she has kept it together is to be tougher than anyone around her, so she doesn't get hurt again...this poor girl is sheltering a lot of pain. Wow, you've only posted what five chapters of this fic yet I feel like I can relate to syd so well. Bravo sue! You have once again managed to create a believable very human character. I'm sure that I will enjoy reading this fic, although I'm sure I will cry as syd's pain is revealved and her wounds eventually healed. You are amazing, and I'm ready to sit back and enjoy the ride of P5. ~frankie

Sydnie's a very prickly cat but I think all cats are proud in their own way. She sure is making life a little difficult for Bas but I love it when you make your characters hate each other in the beginning before making them fall head over heels in love with each other. :)

aww! lol... poor bas, he tripped on his shoelace... ;) and you know, what are they thinking? he might as well let her know that he's ...'heir to the throne' so to speak. she's gonna know when she gets there. she has a nose. and she's gonna be royally pissed when she finds out. but maybe (if they even make it to maine) she'll like gin. cause everybody likes gin!
