My God! Bas has got it bad. It makes a girl all warm and mushy inside seeing how absolutly in love those two are. Yay! I do have a question though. Since Jillian is adopted, does that mean she's not Inu youkai? If not, what kind is she? This is just me being courious.

Ok...I love it! (big surprise, lol) Bas - Even though this is his first assignment as a Hunter, he's coming across as capable, decisive (Hunky!) and adorably bashful. Sydnie - While obviously deeply scarred, her playfulness is refreshing and the way she flips from cynical disgust, innocent awe, and almost preditorially sexual is keeping Bas flustered and off balance. Distracted? That's putting it mildly. She's also left wondering in the wake of his seemingly tender care of her. She doesn't know what to make of it...or him. Unfortunately, their situation makes for some rough altercations between them and isn't helping the desperate need for trust. Her life has been isolation, voilence and survival driven by revenge, and she seems apathetic about her own future beyond that goal. Whereas Bas has had a life of love and security. She must be very alien to him, a trembling mystery that has him captivated. Cain wants him to find out why she killed Richardson, but Bas wants to find out for himself, for his own peace of mind...and maybe so he'll know whose heads he needs to bash! - The phone call from Gunnar that Syd answered had me rolling! OMG!! Pictures!! I can't believe he sold it to Evan! Although, I totally believe that Evan bought it; he's such a hound. *woof*

Yay, new chapter! I love how Sydnie reacted to Gunner as a human. So he IS Toga and Sierra's son. Since he looks like Sierra and all... And the food catching thing resurfaces! *laughs* I love the resemblance between Bas and Ryomaru. Almost all the scenes with Bas and Sydnie are so sweet! The purring was so nice. So how long will it be till he tells her she's his mate? Can't wait for that chapter. Thanks so much for posting!!! ~Kat

the last chapter wouldn't let me review. Anyway great chapter!! So Bas has accepted the fact that she's his mate, man I wonder what Cain and Gin are going to say? And when will Sydnie realize? Anyway as usual great work!!
