Neat! Nice explaination of what is going on in the author's notes. It is nice to encounter an author that has some experience with what they are writing about. I've taken martial arts and sparing practice is the part that I am the worst at. I am always worried about hurting the other person even if the other person is my "little" brother who weighs about 70 lbs more than I do and about 8 inches taller. There is a HUGH difference between knowing the theory and actually applying it to someone. I'm hoping that if I ever get into a situation where I need it that fight or flight reflex will kick in and I can do something about it. In actual comments about the story: Interesting how the healer felt brave enough to be sarcastic about Kagome with Sesshoumaru right there. I'm somewhat surprised that Sesshoumaru let him get away with it. Though it looked like Sesshoumaru wanted to go hunting instead. I also like the ending comment where the "lady" training would be worse than other training.

I just wanted to say that I really like this story. This chapter doesn't stand out any more than the rest but I would be remiss if I didn't review somewhere a story that I enjoy so much. I am glad that you are making how Sesshoumaru and Kagome get togeter believable. I also like how Kagome starts out on traditional training and that doesn't work so they move to more untraditional training. (Reminds me of some of Mercedes Lackey books where the rulers had to learn a bit of untraditional training from a Mercenary because not everything is nice out there. It is a completely different mind set) It is interesting that Kagome thinking too much is part of the problem. Maybe she doesn't want to hurt Rin. She may do better with a different sparing partner that she isn't so concerned about hurting. Anyhow good job and please keep it coming.

I've thoroughly enjoyed your fic, taking no consideration what so ever to the fact that it is your first. It makes me smile and frown the way a good story should, and is believable the way anything worth reading is. My compliments and highest regards to the author. Post script: Arigato (the last letter is often time left unpronounced in the Japanese language) Sesshomaru: The Killing Perfection, from the root word "maru" or "of death". Hi Darkjewel, I Really like your story, Really - Really!! It started out like a lot of other stories out there but in chapter three and four you departed from the standard 'oh poor, poor Kagome' routine, Thank God! I don't think you should worry about the 'ooc' thing especially with Sesshomaru, we get to see so little about his 'character' in the anime that it really leaves it pretty open for interpretation. And I think your characterization of Kagome is Great. I am really enjoying your story so don't let a lack of reviews get you down. I've noticed before that a story on mediaminer will get a lot less reviews than the same story on fanfiction.net or even a Single Spark, so don't feel bad about not having a lot of reviews. Blame it instead on mediaminer readers who can't type or something. Anxiously awaiting more…. I hate when Sess/Kag fics bash InuYasha so badly, I love how you handled it. I think you've got a good start for a good story, and I shall be waiting for your updates eagerly. One question though...how did Sess get his arm back? It's driving me nuts(I hate picking at people's stories, I'm just curious)...maybe an author's note or a flashback to explain? *puppy eyes* I hope you get a few more reviews to encourage you to keep going. As I said, I really like what you've started. Good luck. =)
