I had my suspicions from the start that it would be Duo, even though I was hoping it wouldn't be. I love the twists and turns in this plot line, the way you grab and hold the readers interest with those twists. Despite not wanting it to be Duo, I have to commend you in the obvious time and planning you have put into this fic, it really shows. It's hard to find a fic that grabs the attention and holds it all the way through; you have managed to do that and do it well. I'm now really curious as to what Duo's reasons are for this 'insanity'. It would appear to me that 'Shinigami' is more than just a title to Duo, he's become a 'real' part of Duo's psyche. Thank you for writing and sharing such a deeply involved fic. I appreciate the time and effort that you have put into this and eagerly await the remaining chapters and explanations. Shen ^_^

Thank you. Not for bad things happening here in general, of course, but for how you've handled this issue. I've been reading this story for some time but I've been reluctent to comment, since I was afraid it'll turn into one of the stories where Duo is that sweet little inocent wobbly (and I was getting just the opposite wibes from him - in this story - all along). Don't get me wrong, I like Duo in canon, but this is a continuation and I can understand you've made him 'grow' a bit (well, a lot) even if it is in a very evil and possibly mad direction. I actually found your Heero/Ralena sweet, if slightly doomed. It was obvious why they were together and why it didn't work like it should and most importantly you didn't push some unneccessary horrible guilt on one of them (it's Relena usually in stories I've read before). You've tackled a difficult and very dark theme and so far it's working admirably.

Well, I was very much enjoying the story until the last two chapters. It's a shame you went that direction. A suggestion - it is considered polite etiquette in the GW fandom to list the sexual pairing in the story. Some people absolutely do not like 2x1, and a warning is generally appreciated so that part can be skipped over, especially when it's practically rape (Heero being drunk constitutes impaired judgement). Good luck with the rest of the story. I won't be reading anymore.

Oooohhhh... I had worried it might turn out this way. And now I hope that maybe it's all a huge misunderstanding...though...that seems very unlikely. *bites lip* In any case, this is a thoroughly compelling story, and I simply cannot get enough of it! Such edge-of-your seat tension!

I hope that the next section comes out soon because you have had me in agony every since I read this. I had been suspecting for a while but didn't want to believe and I still don't I keep hoping that it isn't him that its a dream or something similar that somehow it will all work out. Good luck with the next part you have a lot to live up to if it stays as good as it has been.

*is hyperventilating* I had a horrible feeling it was Duo but I hoped it wasn't! I noticed all the signs but, (like Heero) ignored them. Ooy, I have to read the end!

Well, I was kinda getting the feeling you were going to go there and hoping I was wrong. So disappointing!! I was hoping for a Heero/Duo get together; not gonna happen now though. Oh well, it's your story.

Whoa. Talk about the Butler Did It. Granted that Duo's been a selfish-but-helpful bastard for most of the story, but I still figured he'd be an Essentially Good Guy. Heh, makes even Wufei seem nice in comparison.
