This was a sweet little update. Whoopsie on the window! Glad Mrs. Higurashi seemed to be so understanding, and I liked Jii-chan's brief splutter at the news that there are more youkai out there than he thinks. I'm glad Inuyasha's willing to be so patient with Kagome, even though it's clearly torture for him. It's easy to understand things from both of their perspectives. I'm sure it'll all work out, with time. Looking forward to the next update!

Ooh, this is interesting. I have to admit, from reading the summary I was sure this was going to be a pretty cliche and boring fic, but I'm happy to say that I was wrong on both counts. I like the tone you've set in this fic quite a bit... it's nicely engaging without dwelling too long on any one point or dissolving into piles of angst, angst, and more angst. And you've got a beautiful descriptive vocabulary; some of the passages that caught my imagination the most were simple, descriptive scenes, such as at the beginning of chapter 8. Great stuff, I can really picture the scenes you set in this fic. You've also done a good job expanding on Kagome and (especially) Inuyasha without detracting much, if at all, from what we see in the canon (up to the point of divergence, anyway). I liked that they still squabbled and struggled to understand each other, but it still feels like they may be inching toward progress in their relationship. Anyway, lest I ramble on and on and on, I enjoyed this fic a lot (in fact, I read it from beginning to end in one shot, which is unusual for me; usually I tend to take a lot of breaks while I'm reading). It wasn't at all how I thought it would be, but I'd definitely say that's a good thing!
