Again, Angelica took everything I wanted to say. xD I agree with her, as I don't think Kagome and Kikyou are even essentially the same person. Neither are Yasha and Inuyasha (though Yasha retained his memories) which is sad, because the one Kagome wants is Inuyasha. =( Also one thing that's been bothering me... How in the world could Inuyasha and Kikyou reproduce if she's dead? o_O Inu, you nechrophile. XDDD

Another great chapter. Now I'm really curious as to what Inuyasha wanted Sesshoumaru to give Kagome or tell her. Can't wait to read more. Bravo, as always! ~Angela~

I feel sorry for Kagome poor thing. I think Kagome's memory is like a broken flashlight and she's in a dark tunnel and the flashlight works some of the time. It could be frustrating (sp?) and Mika, Yasha and Kagome's mother are holding the charged up batteries. White Lies is a good name for chapter 8. I can't wait till I find out what Inuyasha told Sesshomaru. Please update soon. Oh, for got to say GREAT CHAPTER :)

I enjoyed that we got some insight into how Jii-chan feels about Inuyasha's choices. And I loved the fact that while you are weaving this idea that this outcome was pre-ordained, that the individuals involved had choices in how the circumstances came to be. I can't imagine anyone is too thrilled with Inuyasha on either side of the well (except Kikyou). Kaede is probably beating herself up to an extent for not being more clear and subsequently her words wound up being used in a way she never intended. I also picture Sango being especially outspoken and angry. Ah well, maybe I'll e-mail you my full thoughts on that issue. Just wanted to point out that you did a nice job portraying the reactions thus far. As for the rest, I'm intrigued. Kagome's point has always been that even though she might share a soul with someone, her memories, circumstances, and choices make her a completely different person than that last incarnate. Yasha seems to believe that the soul is the same and the memories and choices are just a shell for it. I've always thought that Kagome's real issue was that she wanted Inuyasha to be in love with her personality (i.e. her memories and choices), and when he simply saw her as Kikyou reborn it broke her. In a way, Yasha is doing much the same thing, and I wonder if she'll accept it from him, especially given that he's not like her and Kikyou in that he has memories of being Inuyasha. If he can remember being Inuyasha until the day Inu died, do you think Kagome might feel like she's his second choice, or rather second wife, regardless of the fact that Yasha has never been married? I'm super excited to see how this all comes together!

Another great chapter. I wasn't seeing it as a bashing Inu Fic but that boy did need to have a wrap now and then to his ol' noggin'. LOL I agree that with 500 years something is bound to change a tad in Sess, everyone changes. Hope the family emergency is all good now? Hope everything is fine? As always, bravo, Amber! ~Angela~

I wasn't sure how I'd take to the amnesia concept since so many authors use it. However, you're very up front with the characters thinking that they can sneak some love back into Kagome for Yasha so that when she remembers, she won't be able to out-right reject him. But I love the twist that even though she has amnesia, her heart still knows that he's not exactly what he appears to be. I'm a little surprised by Kagome's mother's reactions after going back to re-read. She seems like she's lecturing her when the last thing Kagome needs is more guilt. On the other hand, it seems very real because that is a parent's first reaction - to advise their child of what's best, even if they don't want to hear it. It's just an interesting controversy. I'm also interested in how the rest of Kagome's family feels about Inuyasha now that everything is over with. Do they despise him for casting Kagome aside like trash? And in reply to your AN's about not bashing Inuyasha; no, it's not bashing. Inuyasha's childhood didn't lend itself to teaching him how to care for other people's hearts. I'm so happy someone else picked up on the fact that Inuyasha generally treated Kagome worse than any other woman and cited a reason for it rather than excusing it. I can't help but think it would be awesome if after he was with Kikyou, he started doing the same thing to her with the comparisons, only this time with Kagome as the "better" one. It makes sense to me because while he treats Kikyou better than anyone else he's ever met, you can only play a role so long before your real personality shows through. I'm not sure if Kikyou would have been okay with who he really was. Okay, now I'm ruminating. Hope your family emergency is not too severe!

Poor poor Kagome... I also wish she didn't have to take that soul back. Kikyou was (let's all face it) a bitch, and it's truly not fair that she had to be the reincarnation of such a horrid woman. Maybe that's a little strong, but for this fic, I think that opinion is safe to stand. Yasha seems sweet, but he's just not Inuyasha. It's not going to go smoothly between those two, methinks. =/ At least the amnesia might let them get off on a better, more friendly foot. Nice twist. =) Our dear Aiko has my sympathy as well. She's been almost like the Exorcist mom in some of her dealings. XD

Well now, someone has finally written a story line that I've been wondering about for a long time. It not only deals with the after effects of basically living through a war, while being mentally and emotionally abused, and abandoned so often that the fact she has fractured just like the jewel is no surprise. I wonder, are you planning on bringing the jewel back into the picture? After the way he sent her home, no time to rest, no time to say goodbye, no recognition of all that she contributed to basically saving the world for both Youkai and Ningin, there isn't any wish that he could make that wouldn't be tainted with selfishness. Wouldn't the jewel also go back to Kagome, that in itself would be a HUGE complication given that she is so fragmented at this point. Ah, I am lovin this story. It is making me THINK, and I really want Kagome to be OK.....she is just the kind of daughter I would want to have, if I hadn't had a son, that is. I found your stories by accident, and have been hooked ever since. I bow to your skill, and hope your muse never leaves your side.
