And Tsuneo's family kami has finally made an appearance! Sometimes
we are indeed all tools of destiny. Sitting back and waiting for
something to work itself out on its own, it doesn't always work
that way. Sometimes it's destiny that we interfere, that destiny's
plan all along, in order to accomplish what needs to be done, is to
have somebody interfere and do it. In the end everything happens as
it was meant to. Looking forward to the next update! :-)

Bum Bum Bum...looks like we're about to find out just what it is
Kazuo is plotting. I feel sorry for Sadayori. He meant well;
everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is that he wants to do
what's right for his grandsons. Like Kazuo said, to a point it's
free choice, and we can all choose which path we'll take, but those
poor boys, they don't have much of a choice of *anything* right now
with that monster of a father ruling their lives. It's funny, in a
non-humorous way, just how many people are like that in real life,
who chase their own good luck away with how evil their hearts are
whilst turning around and blaming all their problems on
everyone/everything else. *sigh* At least it looks like things will
work out for Maeme and the boys in the end. After everything they'd
have to deal with, they deserve some good luck, indeed. And LOL,
poor Inuyasha. I 'sort of' feel sorry for him. *snickers* I don't
know why, but I hear English Dub Naraku's voice taunting "Choose,
Inuyasha" from the old Adult Swim IY commercials, LOL.

Sooooooooooooooo glad I can review this story over here again! WAY
too much has happened since my last review to try to touch base on
everything, but since my last review was about Maeme I guess that's
a good focal point. Definitely looks like I was wrong that there
was nothing anybody could or would do for her. And nobody really
knew just how bad her situation was, either, although they
do now and I'm so glad that even the gods are on her side
and on this most lucky day of the year it looks like something will
finally be done about Seiji. Besides all that, it's lovely to see
that wedding finally come to pass. Today's talk of Chiya does
remind us that she's still brooding over in that house by the
river, but ah well, we don't need to see those details.
She's sniveling to herself 'woe is me' and working on her spinning.
That situation will work itself out in time, but the situation with
Seiji and Maeme is FAR more important. I'm definitely looking
forward to seeing what happens next!

If he were my neighbor, I'd hang out with him. He's got my kind of sense of humor, ;-). And awww...poor Maeme. Too many women are in her situation, even now with the laws changed, but back then, there was pretty much nothing anybody could or would do for her, so that has to be rough, knowing everyone knows but also knowing that it's her husband's right, her lot in life, and while it's sad there's almost no way out of it. No wonder she sings of being a caged bird with clipped wings. That's how I'd feel in that situation, too. The first part with Kaede, Kagome and Inuyasha was cute. Especially the end of that scene, where Inuyasha was getting pestered by the kids, LOL. The second scene with Miroku and the others was wonderful, especially that blessing he did right at the end. Well done! Cute scene, with Inuyasha getting Daiki to settle down. I like that he showed some of his inu-youkai side, barking nonchalantly to the dog, and being so casual about it afterwards, too. I can totally picture that if Kagome hadn't been on the ball to already be so accepting of her husband's canine half, and had instead of just asking what happened had looked at him with a funny look, taken aback by his barking, that Inuyasha would have in turn had a confused look and been like "What?" LOL. I also liked how he used his speed to make Daiki run smack into him, and the boy's oblivious state, even to Kaede who he'd previously almost crashed right into, and Inuyasha's threat that he can run way faster, so he'd better not run away again. It was a very good moral to teach. A man pays for what he takes. Daiki ate the treat, so now he's got to pay the price, and if it was worth it well then so be it, but if not, then maybe he just might learn not to do it again. I can understand why Inuyasha doesn't want to go to that place, and I also understand why he'll pretty much have to. Doubt he's told Miroku the real reason why he doesn't like it, and has only mentioned the smell, and so of course the monk will trap him into it, not really aware of the deeper emotional issues. Nice to see that Sesshoumaru was looking out for his little brother, at least when he had to. If the brat starved to death 'cause he was too weak or stupid to fend for himself, well then that's what he gets, but being murdered by a monk, that wouldn't have been fair, so I can see why Sesshoumaru would interfere, even with his skewed logic of not really wanting to have anything to do with Inuyasha. Even though Inuyasha's existence was an insult to their father's blood (in his eyes) letting a human kill him would have been a much bigger insult, for sure. The tender Inu/Kag moment was nice. Also liked him talking to Kazuo at the end there. Must be nice living in a village where the resident god actually exists and has shown up to say hi on occasion, LOL. You don't see that in very many mythologies. Greek, maybe a handful of others. I love the lore of Japanese kami. I love Kazuo specifically, LOL. He's a kooky old man.
