I didn't know what I was going to get when I clicked on this fic. At first looking at the first page I was about to pass it over, but then I decided to give it a chance, and I wasn't disappointed. I found myself reading till 6am in the morning wishing I wasn't to tired to read more. Your writing style is amazing, and the story was compelling. For once I wasn't guessing where everything was leading and actually was surprised by turns the story took. In fact, I loved your writing so much I went ahead and purchased your book 'The Angel Within' And I look forward to reading it when it arrives. Thank you so much for your story, and good luck with future ones. I'll be looking for more fiction from you in the future.

That was another sweet ending. I completely understand Duo's need for independence and difficulties of asking for help when you're so sure you can do it. I'm just glad that the reds didn't cause any serious damage that could've left him bedridden or worse dead and without heero. *smiles* In thoughts with this story, wish me luck in my own independent endeavor.

some serious catchup - ch.34: that was a beautiful ending and i'm sorry i'm just getting to read it now. ch35: The way dDuo dropped to his knees at Heero's playful but whining 'i have a hardin and don't know what toi do with it look' i wanted to scream, Duo made it seem like it was a chore, something he obligated himself to do. *shakes head* I know Heero is looking into duo's business especially if he can only see him a few hours at a time. Now Duo's taking those damn pills. no no... it spells disaster. What happen to Howard? couldn't he give the kid a hand, spare parts, a ship in a mutual business arrangement- while Duo runs his routes he can keep an eye out for scrap? gotta go...

This has been one of my favorite GW stories. I was a bit shocked to see that you first started this in Sept 2002. I can hardly believe that I've been reading and writing GW fics that long, probably longer. The ending of this story was true to the rest of it as it carried the same bitter-sweet angst. Duo was irrevocably damaged by the govt. and you didn't smooth over the problem by giving him a cure and the happy ever after, though it was a satisfying end. It only makes sense that Duo expects to live a shorter life, considering his poor health. Thanks for another entertaining read. I always hate to see your stories come to an end.

*goes all gooey* Lol, I just had a thought: Duo's competitors are in for a nasty shock. Yeah, he's back, good as before...and this time his big tough Preventer boyfriend is helping him. Something tells me that anybody trying to harrass Duo directly will be having their own heart attack shortly ^__^ Sorta sad (but probably realistic in the context of the fic) that Duo needed drugs to feel like he could top Heero. Hmf, maybe one day (hint hint). For Heero, that would be proof of real progress.

Oh jeez, here I thought one of my favorite fics was really, really finished, and now you had to pull it off the shelf, blow the dust off the cover, and thrust poor Duo smack into another pile of sh.. crap! I have a feeling I'm going to need to have to dig out that large box of Kleenex again.

I feel like this story deserves much more attention than it has gotten. I liked it very much, not as much as Lawless Hearts, but it was still great. It was interesting and different to see the g-boys presented this way. Duo's troubles were especially heart-wrenching. But YAY!! *Cheers* There was a happy ending, and that's what counts!! Overall good job. ~RL~

I think that this is a wonderful fic. I've never seen or read anything Gundam before, but I love the way you make them so real, and Duo so sad. Keep writing!

This fic was torture to read, as I found myself angry at all of the crap that Duo was dealt. It seemed like he'd barely get out of one situation when something worse would be dumped on him. I was howling when Duo suddenly thought of chihuahuas and rottweilers in Chapter 32! I'm going to have to re-read the last few chapters, because I really didn't see where Sally had the right to put all the blame on Duo. Sure, he was vocal about his likes and dislikes, but it didn't seem like he did anything to warrant the treatment she gave him. He did what needed to be done to get the mission accomplished. I felt ill when she said Heero would get the medal and Duo would get the dishonorable dismissal. I'm not convinced; it just seemed like one more time that Duo got the shaft. How he managed to bounce back through all the bad hands he was dealt was inspirational. Oh well; the ending was encouraging. As usual, this is an amazing story.

I loved this series, as you know. ^_^ Is this really the end or is there more brewing in your mind? I can just envision Duo sitting at home, trying to be patiend and understanding while waiting for Heero to come home from a long assignment and suddenly Zechs shows up to make a little trouble for the two love birds. What do you think, is there more to their story?

'"Damn, I'm good," Duo muttered. "Famous last words."' LOL! As well as the 'sucky day' remark. That was good. That was fun. The rest was TENSE! And the ending was touching, in a realistic 'not fairy tale ending but within a stone's throw' way. Good read! Thanks for posting!

What a place to stop!! I love Duo's piloting abiliites and how he tries to keep pace with Heero. He's so used to heero, I wonder if he knows how few men out there *can* keep up with the perfect soldier? I love Heero, too, so solid and sweet and strong. I do agree, however, that the suicide missions must stop.
