Wow. Each chapter really makes me feel the characters' pain.
Duo's regret, his bitter appraisal of all the pilots (except Quatre), and his attempt to find temporary solace or escape in a bar once again spoke volumes of his pain.
I just loved Heero's reaction to Duo's telling him that he was just a quick lay. It's nice to see that Heero is capable of greater depth at times, too - even if he struggles with it himself. That scene made my eyes a bit watery!
Even when Duo is bitter about his "friends" - it's obvious he understands them all too well.
I do certainly look forward to the next update, as always! |

You are doing such an great job with this story, sorry but I can't help but hope Heero changes and wins Duo. Your writing makes me feel the suffering Duo is going thru. I really hope it works out well in the end. Will watch for more chapters. |

That was absolutely gut wrenching. I could NOT stop crying when I read the part where Duo got what he wanted...sort of...and yet forgot why he was doing it.
Yes, a bastardized Duo, but my gosh, he really does love Quatre. And love brings out both the best and worst in us...possibly more so than revenge.
Just from this one chapter alone, I kinda would love to see Duo and Quatre together, although I suppose it may be rather unrealistic. But my heart pines for Duo's happiness, and if despite everything that happened with everyone else...for Quatre's as well.
Man, the lump in my throat hasn't died down yet. The emotions stirred in Duo have really affected me, showing that you did a helluva job with that scene.

This is the type of story that makes you sigh at the mere complexity of it. -big sigh- I'm glad Duo grew back some of his compassion. I can only wonder how this will end. |

this is an awsome story. id write ore but i put nailpolish on. i think its dry but still... i want duox heero or wufei !!! lol i wish duo could just coe out and say everything or run away from them all. make them see what theyve done!!! |

OMG!!! That WAS bastardous!!! LOL!!! I loved it! The angst was real, and I felt it all. I can't say I really blame Duo though. It may seem unfair now, but if you think back to all the shit they did to him, I say it's pretty fair. Why not put them in life threatening danger? They were in it everyday of their war lives. Duo can do it just once. No one'll get hurt. Lol. Can't wait for the next chap!!! |

this is the absolute best fanfic that I have ever had the pleasure of reading... Man, the ending was great! Hell, the whole story was great! You have an amazing way of conveighing (pardon my spelling) the ideas that go through Duo's head. The story was a tad bit depressing, mind you... But what the hell, I'd give it 100 out of 10 if there was such a rating. |

It wasn't as bad as I thought from your intro. I feel absolutely awful that Duo feels the need to resort to this. I'm glad Quatre believes him...I think that, despite his lies, he needs to know that someone does.
Hell, Heero and Wufei believe him, too.
My heart bleeds for Duo in this story. I know that it may ruin the entire mood of the story, but I hope that, if things don't end happily ever after (and do they ever, really?) that at least people find acceptance.
I loved Heero's answer to Duo, much more so than Wufei's. His statement that he needed Duo, and not knowing more than that...it actually got to me! That and Duo's real tears during the whole thing.
It's a powerfully written story, heart wrenching to say the least, and I find myself almost on the verge of tears at times.
Well, again, I hope that things end, if not happily, then at least they end well. |

Damn....That was intense. The part where Trowa confronted Duo just made me sick. What the *%^#$* did Trowa think he was doing?!! Duo need to run away, and just...I dunno isolate himself. They can't keep him there!!! This is effing abuse!! You got me all pent up now! -screams- I - I can't even think straight anymore. Update soon. |
