THis story is interesting indeed! I never would have thought of Onigumo being InuYasha and Shippou's guardian...I also think the setting and the story line itself is highly original!! Great Job. It's also nice how at the beginning ,you made each chapter a seperate POV...I've always been a fan of first person POV, but I must admit that it does have it's limitations. YAOI scene was.....well...that was hott...I've read a couple of fics where InuYasha was bi-sexual, are you taking that same route as well?? Well, I must say great job, and I await your next update!! ~VelvetNight

Funny how the insights of others can bring back memories and cause the empathy of one's soul to reach out to another. Great story. I look forward to more.

I have to admit that I usually don't read rape/abuse stories, but the manner in which you handle these issues were very well executed. I really like the interaction between Inu Yasha and Shippou, there's both well characterized despite the setting and circumstances. The only thing I don't completely understand at this point of the story is Inu Yasha's lineage. Was Omigumo his biological father or a step parent and if he is Inu Yasha's real father than does that mean his mother was a demon in order for Inu Yasha to be a hanyou? Perhaps you can offer a little more clarity on this in the future. I previously assumed that Omigumo was Inu Yasha's step father until the recent flash back scene where Inu Yasha actually called him daddy. Anyways, I can't wait to read what you have in store for the future chapters. Keep up the good work and update ASAP, please and thank you. Oh, if you still need a beta, I'm willing to help. I currently beta-ing for another author so I do have experience. Just let me know what works for you, email me at aidlbia@yahoo.ca.

I can beta for you. That is, as long as you don't mind me printing it out, writing all over it, and scanning it. Then sending you a scanned copy. I think it's better if people know what's been changed, and also something I like might not be what you like etc. etc... This is a wonderful chapter, seems like the story's really starting to get the ball rolling...or maybe it already was and I just missed it cause I'm kinda zoning.... I don't quite understand what 'Nuya' has to do for Miroku though....a touch confusing that is.

Ok I would like to say that this is one of the best stories I have ever read and think that you are doing great. Now with that out of the way How dare you accuse me of copying somone elses writing I HAVE NEVER EVEN READ A STORY TITLED SOLICE OR WHATEVER! AND EVEN IF IS THE SAME BEGINING WHATEVER!!!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT READING AND YOU WOULD HAVE REALIZED THAT MY STORY WAS FROM MY OWN HEAD!!! I DO NOT APPERICATE BEING TOLD I COPY OTHER PEOPLES WRITING! GOT IT?! and matbe you should think about this, some peoples stories sound alike but you need to read more then the beging to understand. what's that saying oh yea DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER! And even if you hadn't accused me of plagerizing how dare you talk about my writing that way you could have said it nicer you don't see me doing that to people do you even those with terrible stories. Sorry that this came so late after your review I should have said it sooner... MUCH!

*sob sob* That part about the whispers was so sad! *tears up tear-soaked tissue* It was almost exactly like the parts of my favorite books that talk about how Cat feels about his mixed-blood. *sniff* Very well done.

Your efforts on this chapter certainly produced a great end result! Your use of Inu-Yasha's 'voice' to tell the story is...I hesitate to use this word, but it fits...masterful! Lavender

This is really impressive. Normally, I avoid abuse fics like the plague - they seem to be, by and large, seething hell-pits of poor characterization, melodramatic angst, and naive willingness to skim over the sheer, brutal ugliness that such situations really are. However, you seem to have done the impossible - you have here an abuse fic that is horrific in its detail and peopled with non-OOC characters with reasonable motivations. (Inuyasha's personality, though represented differently from the customary depiction, is, given the circumstances of his upbringing, immediately recognizable.) It also has genuine suspense - it's been a long time since I last read a fic and was genuinely worried about what was going to happen to a character. This has sheer affective force behind it in spades. Only thing I'm having a bit of trouble swallowing is the characterization of Kikyou. However, in a fandom in which Kikyou is frequently warped into a vicious, psychotic ditz, this characterization is still above par. It's not true to her original character, but, hey, Kikyou as kinky dominatrix isn't something I've seen before, and it's a far more interesting and intelligent characterization than many others. So, hey. Congratulations, and please keep it up.
