This is quite possibly the most beautiful fanfic I have ever read. The angst was done well, not sappy, and the writing and stylistic choices served to bolster the story (e.g. rather than taking away from the story, the writing style is smooth so that it is either not noticeable (a very good thing in my mind, where the reader is so caught up in the story he/she doesn't notice the writing) or else the style effectively punctuates the story by placing emphasis in just the right places -- obviously a conscious and well thought out choice on your part). I am not normally a fan of repetition but your repeated use of the reflections as to feudal era characters (e.g. repeatedly starting flashbacks/recollections with "there was once a [hanyou/kitsune/etc.]") fits perfectly with the tone of your story. I really can't say enough good things about this story, even thinking back on it as I write this review makes me start tearing up. I didn't just cry at the end of your story, I literally *sobbed* because it was so beautiful and sad. If there were some all time fanfiction hall of fame this story would most definitely deserve a spot. The writing style is superior to many published novels out there. I wouldn't be surprised if you had written original stories that have been published; I would certainly sign up to read them based on the beauty and mastery that is Fugue. Thank you for writing such a bittersweet and heartwrenching, yet utterly memorable piece.

For one, I've read this story over a year ago and STILL haven't reviewed! For SHAME!!!!!! This was just an awesom and gut-wrenching/revealing/cleansing/angsty/sexy/supercalifragilisticexpialido cious, um, WINNER! GAWD, Kagome had my heart in my throat! You made them so REAL and I had moments where I reread whole paragraphs 3 or 4 times just for the pure emotion of it! GAWD, when Sesshy rolled out, MY heart broke--over fictional friggin' characters here! LOL! But, KUDOS galore...to the 1,000,000,000,000.99% power...pi...infinity...and so on! Do you KNOW how talented you are? The best ones usually don't! You amaze me, really. GREAT story!

I don't know why, but I decided to re-read this story. It's probably been years since the last time I did, and I don't think I've so much as looked at this fandom in at least a year, but some mood brought me back around again. I have to say that I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time around. Any story that draws you back after so much time is a good one.

This story was absolutely amazing. I cried. Although, admittedly, I am an emotional person and thus crying is not necessarily new to me, it was still a beautiful story. And I happen to love stories that make me cry. By far, you are one of my favorite writers. Thank you for sharing!

SO i have to tell you that the was the most amasing story ever and i want to translate it as well, if you let me do so of course anyways OH MY GOSH i read this story for 2 days straight, i have as a favourite in my iPod Touch and i read when i was supposed to be sleeping... lol i LOVED this story i love any kind of hentai, and i love to write was well, but this one, really shows how you feel when you're doing it with a person that you like, you dont even have to love the person, just like and feel atraction for him anyways i loved your writting style, its amazing how you put (or dont put) words in Sesshoumaru's mouth and its amazing how they fit him, ok he doesnt talk that much but... its enough you know? besides, you write really well and kagome, thats how i think about her too, she may grow as a sad person, in the Tales of The House of The Moon, she became happy by the end, but she wasn't the same "Happy" (almost retarded) little girl as she was, just because of dumbass INUYASHA as always and i know it may sound bad that i think thats whats goin to happen in the anime, he may love her back, but it just isnt the right thing, so she'll give up and give him to kikyou (THAT BITCH) i hate her... anyways i love you and your fanfics, hopefully you'll keep with them sorry for takin your time xoxo

For me, this was an adventure. I sat here for hours reading this, lost in this world you have created, feeling everything Kagome felt, becoming her fully. Recognizing every agonizing depth of the endless continuity, and nothing to stop it. Needing only forgiveness. I thank you for such a beautiful fiction. It was more reality than I could have guessed.

WOW! I really LOVED this story. I kept wanting Sesshoumaru to act like a love sick puppy and come back and apologize and confess his undying love for Kagome but at the same time i didnt want him to because that simply wouldnt be him. the ending was perfect and so yeah....this was simply amazing just like ur other stories that i have read.

WOW!! This was insanely good. I've read HotM and saw a picture that's based off this fic so I decided to read it. I was throughly pleased. I especially love how you make the Sess/Kag seem...believable, even if it isn't quite cannon. And on top of that...you're Sesshoumaru is just so....like Rumiko portrays him, I can't even think straight. But when you say angst, you don't mess around. There were times when I was so depressed I wanted to jump off my balcony or something...damn, amazing to be able to invoke that kind of feeling just from a story. Kudos to you! You are an amazingly talented author and I look forward to reading anything and everything else you have to offer! ~VelvetNight

Holy Cow! That was the most inspireing fanfic I have read in a long, long time. I saw a pic on DA drawn for this story so I decided to read it. But I have to say that I am, so glad I did.Your fic was so in depth that I couldn't stop reading it. It took me forever to finish it but i'm so glad I did. I loved how you didn't have them ooc beasude tons of authors do that and it drives me crazy. And i also liked how neather of them died in this fic because when yopu wrote HotM I cryed when Kags and Sess both died! But I'm glad that this ending was so cute and left me feeling shocked and amazed. Anyway congrats on another awesome fanfic and I will definitally read more of your work soon!

*sigh* I just had to read this again. Have you ever had a book that you loved, and every once in a while, because you longed to read it again, did just that? That's what I did. I love the transformation of characters the most. And there's that added bonus that it is Sess/Kag, lol. Once again, you are a magnificent writer, and you do very well to play with the hearts of those who love this shipping. Bravissimo.

wow! this story was abosolutely amazing! THe detail adn the emotions, I was overwhelmed. I could feel the saddness so clearly. I really enjoyed this story, it was a beautiful thing to behold.
