Thank you for confirming that Kagome is mentally ill and depressed in your story, as well as OOC. The brutality she suffered has made her suicidal too, according to your new chapter. Depression is a destructive mental illness and it appears that your OOC Inuyasha has broken her completely since she is willing to stay with him even though he violently and repeatedly violated and brutalized her over a long period of time. And right after she breaks down and asks if she is only a sex slave to him, he grabs her, forcing her to hold still while he molests her with his hand. He's still violating her and yet she takes it. And also, thank you for explaining that she is an animal, unable to think for herself, and that she is ruled by her instincts that force her to stay with a 'mate' who treats her horribly. His only thoughts seem to be about sex and he doesn't seem to care if she wants it or not. I guess that's his instincts too, since they are both animals, right? Would you stay with a man who participated in gang raping you and then held you captive, beat you regularly, and used your body brutally until you associated sex with pain and blood (your description of how Kagome thought of sex)? I want an honest answer from you, because if you say 'yes' then I think you need therapy.

I'm not sure how I can say this without you writing it off as a 'flame,' but it honestly needs to be said. I understand that you want to show that Inuyasha is capable of love and that Kagome wants to be accepted, however, it seems as if it's glazing over the fact that he raped her, brutally at that. Even if he is her life mate, I think it would take ALOT more than what you have shown to have her come around, if at all. The amount of beatings and rapes she had gone through are enough to completely destroy some people, so I'm pretty unhappy with the fact that the power of OTP seems to be the only reason they are together. I'm not saying your fic isn't well written, because it is and most of the time I'm a big fan of yours, however I feel as if alot of the time you don't seem to fully comprehend the reprecussions of the acts committed against some people. But otherwise, keep writing and you'll find yourself in good hands.

wow...what an depressing ending. :( i really hope inu makes it all better!! and kagome not to feel so worthless anymore. :( but the beginning was extremely sweet! ^_^ i was so happy that the two of them finally made up. :D but i suppose all lovers must have their spats, ne? ^_^ beautiful writing. and beautiful job of handling the flamers and negative reviewers. *grins* keep writing hun!! i hope to see more updates and soon!

I love your story...I have been looking for a good story with drama but is not so depressing and dark. And I found it. I am sorry this is my first review. I am busy as a student in college. Anyway, I love your story and look forward to your updates...Even though I am upset with InuYasha, because he is so mean, but can forgive him. Kagome is a bit more shy than her actual character..but I understand why...I am not sure what to say other than I love it..its a bit soon to give an assumption and evaluation of things. Thank-you for writing.

This story is interesting and I look forward to reading new chapters, but I wonder if the other youkai from the first chapter are going to show up, and if they do what's going to happen, and who will Inuyasha side with. I do feel Inuyasha is getting off way too lightly for what he did,and I would love to see him get his comeuppance at the hands of Kagome should she transform into her uncontrollable demon form. He has as of yet apologized to Kagome for everything he has done to her or for what his friends have done to her. Also how do they know that the kid is really Inuyasha's. I do enjoy the story , few people can write as well as you.

Again, great addition & thank you for such a fast update. I love the changes in InuYasha & I like that he decided to live in the castle at least for now. I feel bad for Kagome. Izayoi should be more helpful. Kagome doesn't come from a well to do family & trivial things like floral arrangements are hard for her. She needs to find things that interest her & will be important to her, such as training. Anyhoo...I'm proud of InuYasha especially when he didn't strike her or get angry when she had that tantrum. On a side note, I like everything about your story. Dark, angsty fics aren't for everyone but I love them. I wish you hadn't revealed so much about your story's intent. I like not knowing where the story is going, it keeps things suspenseful & makes it more exciting. But i understand why you did it. Can't wait for the next!

I understand that Kagome is now mentally ill and possibly brain-damaged from her torture at Inuyasha's hands (that's the only explanation I can think of for why she would stay with him, and she's reverted to animal-like behavior even though she's half-human so it must be permanent damage from his abuse and her trauma), but I don't understand why his family is trying to make her stay with the sadistic psychopath. It makes no sense. They've seen for themselves how he abuses her and already know that he raped her (along with his cruel friends), so why would they subject her to more pain? There is no way a woman would forgive a man for such treatment unless she is mentally ill. The Inuyasha you have created here is cruel and hateful. As a reader, I was hoping Kagome would kill him, or Kouga or Sesshoumaru would kill him and save her. I certainly don't want her to be forced to stay with him. There is nothing sexy about her situation or the cruel person abusing her. It would have been better if she died, then she would not have to suffer more pain at the hands of such a selfish, loathsome person who continues to use her for his own gratification. And his father is cruel too. He saw his son's abuse of the woman but locked her in the room with the sadist anyway. The poor girl would have been better off dead.
