So, Sesshiles has to ask for help...Inu didn't milk this enough...ya know, I'm entirely for Sess/Rin, but you don't see nearly enough Sess/Kagu on the other hand. Oh well, your story, not mine. Good background, and the mysterious Kagejiro...nice.,

SESSHY!!!!!!!! He finally makes his grand appearance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder what he's doing at Inu's place? Dang, and Rin was so close to spilling the beans....(by the way, love how you used the name Catherine for Rin, so clever!) Poor Kagome's left in the dark about all of it at the cafe. You seriously need to update ASAP please!!!!!!! AWESOME chapter!!!! (I think i may have gone a little overboard with the exclamation points, huh?)

Oh MY God! This fic just gets better andddd betterrr! argghhh you and youre amazingness never ever ceases to amaze me! Poor Kagome and poor Inu both so close to the ultimate truth and neither know theyve met before under very... different circumstances. Finally some Miroku Sango action, those two are adorable! And even though Sango seems disgusted by BDSM, she seems very dominatrix-ish to mee! *Slap* "Miroku., youve been a very bad boy." I have to say I am VERY impressed by this fic. I found it randomly one day while surfing around after you'd updated it and I absolutely love it! It's the first BDSM story I've ever read online and I think you do it really well. You seem to know quite a bit about it. From one writer to another I'm curious where you got your inspiration for this piece? Is this something that you're in to yourself or did you just do a lot of background research? Either way, well done. I really enjoy all of your literary and movie references as well. Princess Bride? Hello! The mental image of Miroku in leather with a whip saying that line aloud almost made my cry laughing. To me a mark of a good writer is one who can connect to their readers through modern references that go beyond the simple black and white of the story plot. You accomplish this with nearly every chapter so kudos to you! You really surprised me with the Bankotsu relationship though. In the lead up I was SO certain it was Kouga what with the possessiveness, the pet names, the ingrained rivalry, but I have to say that Bankotsu was a completely unexpected but pleasant surprise. I can definitely picture him in the sadistic role more than I can Kouga...it just wouldn't have suited him. My only suggestion to you would be to do a little more proof reading. In the later chapters there are a lot more typos that could be really easily fixed with a quick read through. All in all though Shades of Gray is an amazing piece of fiction. I couldn't stop reading it and it kept me up late several nights as I eagerly went through chapter after chapter. I can't even tell you how disappointed I was when I got to the end of 18 and realized that I would have to wait for more. I could make predictions about what I think is coming up next but I think you've already proven that you have the ability to throw your readers for a loops so for now I'll keep them to myself. Good luck with your writing and just know that you've earned yourself a new fan.

Ooh, for a minute I thought it would be Bankotsu waiting at InuYasha's apartment. *shudders* That would have been scary. Like he found out Yash's true identity and was there to beat the shit out of him or something. I wouldn't put it past him. lol. I thought this chapter fit it's title to the tee. Great chapter. And I loved the chapter before this one, too. I gotta say, that was some hot non-verbal interaction. lol. Awesome writing, girl! ;-) Update soon!

You freakin' rock! I loved this chapter...though the cliff hangers are killing me! Please update soon and keep up the amazing writing. I can't wait for everything to be revealed as far as Kagome and Inu finding out who each other 'really' are, Sess finding out he has a child...and what Bank is up to......

Excellent chapter. While the single storyline of Kik/Inu/Sha/Kag/Tat/Ober is a good one that has be biting my nails at moments, I do like that you have fleshed out Rin's story. Not only do I wonder what is going on with Sess and Rin and wondering why she either hid the child or lost Sess, but it also fleshes out the story and makes it all more interesting. I also like the budding realtionship between Mir and Sango in this piece. I would like to have a little more backstory on Miroku, but you have chocked a lot in so far and may not have had time. Question: I don't remember, has Inu see/noticed the scars on Kagome's back? Has Kikyou? And just what has Kikyou been doing all this time? (probably having a clandestine affair with Naraku :) ) Thanks for updating. I look forward to the next chapter. Caitriona

Yeah, that's always a good conversation starter :P Ya know, it was just around the Jade Emperor story that I realized Sessy hadn't been around, then it crossed my mind what you were building two with the Inu-youkai/Kenran thing, and I was gonna mention it here...seems kinda redundant now, so... Well, great chapter as always. I liked the Catherine thing, that like, Rin's full name? I like that, that's new.
