This is really a great fanfic! I absolutely adore Sesshoumaru, but I get tired of Sess/Kag fics, cause I think InuYasha and Kagome belong together... and lots of other reasons. I love Vanessa! She's not annoying, she's not overly extraordinary (like has weird powers that suddenly show up in Feudal Japan). I love the way you have portrayed Sesshoumaru and all the stuff you came up with to fill in his life. One thing that totally baffles me is... why didn't Kagome bring her a map or a globe? Why didn't she ask for one? I know the shortest distance would have had much too extreme weather... but still... It would have been cool to show Sesshoumaru a globe anyway I think...

I totally love this fic! I'm especially amazed by your ability to take an OC and breathe life into her! She is the most un-Mary-Sue OC, and your portrayals of the Inu gang are spot on! I only ask that you please, please, please update! I know that you have a personal life outside of Into The East, but I don't want to be left hanging. This is one of my most favorite fics, and I'd hate it to be left abandoned (yes, I'm selfish, I know...) Well, I wish you luck in the fic, and if you haven't updated because of personal problems, then I wish you luck with those too. -miucoo

Well, I've explored some fanfic and usually just ended up laughing at how it just seemed like someones own personal fantasy with an obsessed over character but this is totally different and I am so impressed. I've been facinated with Sesshoumaru as a character and what he's really like and what made him what he is and I think you've really made it all work. Too many people rushtheir characters into a relationship and then it just seems to hollow and empty. Sesshoumaru is NOT a character to fall that easily. It takes a lot of "brooding" from him first. The twist to take her to the Americas is quite unique, I was not expecting that and you surprised me with the trapped in the dream too. I am most impressed and eager to read more. I found your story a couple months ago but just started plowing through it recently when Sesshie was injured. You've really developed the characters into believable relationships and have held onto Sesshies character while openning him up to a human which is something I thought most difficult. I have even had a chance to watch your writing style progress and I think you could have a future in writing. The switch between Vanessa and Sesshoumaru is quite effective. The only negative I could probably give is that I want to be your proof-reader to iron out some little oopses (well, it would maybe get it to me sooner too because I want to read more). I'm eager to see this story to the end because I have a slight suspicion that you are leading it towards an end that I have considered for a story with the great Lord Doggy myself. Keep it up. I'm not one to normally comment but I wanted you to know that you are a great writer. Not that many others have not told you this but I think you definately have promise in literature outside of fanfic if you ever consider it. Thank you very much for the entertainment and more true Sesshoumaru.
