Misery - what a great name for someone after what Kagome has been through. I like how Shippo has grown up and takes control. He learned a lot from Sesshomaru apparently. This was a good transition chapter to get them out of the shrine and somewhere safe along with acknowledging the fact that they will need to learn about the modern era. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Yay Shippou! I have to compliment you on the nice balance between darkness and light in the fic... not too much angst and gore, but not just simple, happy light-heartedness.

And in enters Shippo. Great going. It was very realistic how Kagome first felt so bad at the death of her family and then remembering her friends, and having them with her, helped her relight her fire and decide to fight. It was also good in having her have a nightmare that Inuyasha's presence dispelled. He is her protector and she is always safe when he is around. That also goes for the way that he blocks the door when she opens it to protect her, though from this person she needs no protection. With them all together the jewel is now well guarded and Kagome now has someone to help her introduce the others to modern day Japan. I still think it would be funny when Miroku sees a few blue magazines.

It is good that Kagome now has her friends to help her with guarding the jewel. She will need them more than ever now. But what happened to Shippo? Where is he? I can't wait to see what happens now that the gang is together and how Sango, Miroku and Kirara react to modern Japan. Miroku will love TV and certain magazines that he will have access to, I think, and Sango is going to love indoor plumbing and bathtubs but they will have to cope with so many people and huge buildings and all the other hazards of modern day living. And then poor Bouya is going to have to compete with Kirara for treats and toys, that should provide a few laughs.

that chapter was not upsetting at all. i was worried about shippo but he would be better able to fight if he was grown up (hojo?). . . i didn't notice any blaring mistakes but i didn't read it in 'beta mode'. i would offer my services if you're interested: when i beta read i look for spelling, punctuation, word usage, tense consistency, and flow, i will make no changes but i will highlight problems with suggested changes and/or explanations next. i will send it back to you usually within a few hours or by the next day. i do not proofread lemons. my e-mail is on my profile page if you're interested. ~ a pleasure, ginny

as a person who can not handle horror, angst and death i could only skim over it and still my guts felt like they were twisting. i did get the gist of the chapter without too much trauma, i hope as the title suggests, things will be looking up. it isn't you (your writing is eloquent and descriptive) i can and have changed the dressings on a recent amputation and cared for terminally ill relatives, but i cannot watch or read about such things... ~ here's to the positive, ginny
