I loved that Shippo was getting teased about the fundoshi though, that is pure hilarity. I expect that he should get points deducted for hitting the "subject" with a bucket though. He should get scolded for not coming up with a more original idea. Keep them coming.

Your flavors are much better then Hojo's. Though I can see Inuyasha not eating cake for a long time because he is wary of what the flavor might be. It was a funny piece though. I do also foresee another broken date in Hojo's future.

What's the matter with everyone else? Anyway, on "The Way to a Girl's Heart", ha! That's what he gets for just up and eating her cake like that. One could wonder at the trouble that would ensue if Inuyasha had taken it upon himself to eat something of Mrs. Higurashi's, instead. Although, if we read between the lines, I'm sure Inuyasha could smell both Hojo and Kagome on the cake and had realized it was a gift to her from the 'weak human', which was probably the real reason why he was seemingly so thoughtless in the first place. As for "An Unfortunate Assignment", I love how Miroku tried to twist it all to be poor Shippou's fault, just because he hadn't been forewarned. What's Miroku doing still groping other young ladies now that he's a married man, anyway? Or does this take place in limbo somewhere between chapters 506 and 558? All you said for the setting was that it's set after 506, so I was just wondering how far after. No girls around tended to suggest, at least for me, that it's later when Miroku and Inuyasha are out on assignment somewhere, and Shippou just happened to be tagging along. Either way, great work on the last two installments. Keep 'em coming!

I can totally see this actually happening, and in some small way it's sad, to know he had to become so tough and independent from such a young age, but considering the hand he was dealt, I applaud his demeanor in this fic. Smooth confidence, knowing how much more powerful he is than the puny, honorless humans that would rather slay a child than offer him something to eat. And look, he didn't kill anyone, just punched the one guy out real hard. Probably broke his jaw, but otherwise I'm sure he'll be fine. Even as a ten-year-old boy, Inuyasha truly was the better man.
| Title: Very well done... Reviewed By: SplendentGoddess [MediaMiner Member] On: September 02, 2009 02:16 EDT Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 10 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 10 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: They were all very good, so I've decided to leave a comment encompassing all of them. I love how in "The Other Side" the dimensional portal gets explained away without explanation. Oh, there's a dimensional portal, oh okay, it all makes sense now, LOL. I also loved what Sango pulled at the end there, Miroku deserves to stew over that one for a bit, though I hope she doesn't make the poor guy suffer too long. I think "Making Up" came out beautifully, even if the whole thing wasn't as funny as you were originally going for. It was still a nice 'how d'you do' for all the Inu/Sess fics out there. I'm not usually into the 'talk show' themed crack-fic idea, but "The Jakotsu Show" was funny in its own right. I really loved the two different Kagome introspectives in both "My Little Bubble" and "Am I Tarnished?", though if I had to pick a favorite between the two it would be the latter, and not just for the smut factor, but basically because it's sort of like the happy(er) sequel to chapter four. And speaking of sequels, I want to see what happens next in "Evil Has No Age Requirement", that one was pure genius. I totally empathize with Inuyasha in "My Empty Head" because that's exactly how my mind works whenever I want to stop thinking about something. Was it intentional that your last line in that chapter matched the next chapter title? Either way, "Happier This Way" clearly had nothing to do with the preceding chapter, and I find myself wondering how on Earth Rin got a hold of the sacred jewel, and why it was just lying there in the first place. I also found it ridiculously amusing that she basically turned into Elmyra Duff. I hope some other readers out there are also familiar with Tiny Toon Adventures and will get the same visual I did. Poor Jaken better hope he never does change back, or it'll be somebody else's slow and gruesome death that Sesshoumaru will start plotting. Last but not least, "Selfishness" *sings* "And I will do anything for love...but I won't do that!" I know some people are having fun with that challenge and are changing things up a bit, but I loved how your last chapter of this collection (for now) stayed loyal to the original feelings of the song. He will do anything for Kagome, except let her memory go. I'm glad to know that twenty-five moons from when this chapter takes place his waiting by the well will finally be over. All in all, very well done. I look forward to future additions to this collection.
