I agree with xFinalActsGirlx, your stories are totally addicting! Once again you surprised me, which is a good thing! It's fun guessing at what's going to happen next, but it's also fun being wrong because the author was less predictable than it appeared. Beautiful new update! Oh boy howdy is Sesshoumaru going to want to kill him again after this night is over! LOL, or whenever it is that he finds out Inuyasha is still alive...and covered in Kagome's scent. At least Tetsusaiga is protecting them for the time being. On a side note, I guess I'm sort of glad that Sesshoumaru is trying to do right by Kagome...but come on, fluffy! Why torture yourself? Just give up one of your two women and then you get to have the other one free and clear! The one you really want! Hopefully he'll come to that realization before killing Inuyasha again, although something tells me Kagome won't let that happen. Either Kagome won't or the jewel won't. Yay! A new chapter! I guess my fears have been laid to rest that what happened to Inuyasha hurt Kagome too badly if this is the next day, although that also means Inuyasha didn't go on a crazy full-youkai rampage storming the castle. Perhaps the power of the jewel merely prevented him from dying, so that he passed out for a time but will wake up later surprised that he's still alive? I never thought Sesshoumaru was the bad guy, per se...it does indeed sound like he's doing everything for the greater good, despite his possessiveness. He knows that Inuyasha is Kagome's true mate, so that's a good thing, but it seems to me that he's primarily rejecting that union because he thinks that Inuyasha, as a hanyou, is not truly strong enough to control the power of the jewel. I guess it'll take Inuyasha coming back from the dead and some kind of crazy bat-shit happening that he controls to convince Sesshoumaru that the Prophecy knows what it's doing, LOL. But I'm really loving how this story is unfolding, and how dare Kagura! I get that she wants Sesshoumaru and she's pissed off about Kagome and the Prophecy because if it weren't for them Sesshoumaru would be hers, but that doesn't give her the right to attack Kagome so openly, and good for Sesshoumaru sticking up for Kagome. Whether he likes it or not, she is his mate, at least right now. ;-) | Title: Evil as you are beautiful!

Really terrific chapter. Your pacing is good, with Sesshoumaru's response being swift and terrible for both of our lovers. I could see his youkai saving him and matters taken out of his control. Love the way they remain in character with Kagome trying to stay loyal, Sesshoumaru being honorable- despite that he doesn't want the obligation any more than Kagome- and yet still an asshat. Inuyasha's different, but still recognizable. He just has a lot more self confidence regarding Kagome and her desires than we're used to. Oh crap...another thought just occurred to me. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. But Sesshoumaru had been able to feel what was going on with Kagome and Inuyasha, sort of, because of his connection to the jewel. Because the jewel's power had flared up within Kagome or whatever and they are connected, right? Because he'd had that swore red spot on his chest. What if...with Inuyasha getting run through (straight through the heart no less) Kagome feels it because of a new connection that had formed as a result of Inuyasha getting some of the jewel's power despite her attempt to stop it? What if Sesshoumaru goes back home to find Kagome doubled-over in pain or unconscious? I mean, I have no idea what you're planning, so you go ahead and do whatever you were going to, but I have already been caught off guard by more than one curve ball in this story when I thought I'd known what was going to happen and that potential curve ball just jumped out at me. See what you did! It's hours later and I still can't get this story out of my mind! Damn you! Holy shit! Okay, well it looks like some of the power of the jewel went into Inuyasha after all, even though Kagome thought she'd stopped it in time. We have both the flickering light that shouldn't have happened and Inuyasha's experience of feeling heat from the kiss travel into him, down his throat, and that ache in his chest as evidence. But as he's laying there dying, I wonder if it's the power of the jewel that's going to save him, or if he's just going to transform, like lilyyasha said. Maybe the power of the jewel will give his youkai side a little nudge, if he's never transformed before? It certainly sounded like neither of them thought he had the ability to turn full-youkai, to either save his life in such situations or otherwise. If Sesshoumaru doesn't know he can transform that would be awesome, for his full-youkai self to show back up for revenge. Not powerful enough to control the jewel, ha! Take that! Hot damn! I noticed a couple of typos here and there but for getting this beauty out to us without further delay you are forgiven! Glad you had her figure out the hanyou/human thing so fast; we don't need a long drawn out manipulation when we want to get to the good stuff! Sigh...denial is such a powerful thing. Kagome knows damn well what she feels for Inuyasha. Hell, she was even fantasizing about him during sex with Sesshoumaru! Don't tell him that or he'll never let her live it down... But I can understand why she keeps on trying to convince herself it should be impossible. What she doesn't know, yet, is that Inuyasha was one of the other four who could have been her mate, so if she can break free from Sesshoumaru she could legitimately be his. And I agree with Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru is not her true mate because otherwise she wouldn't crave another, and Sesshoumaru wouldn't crave Kagura. Hell, even Sesshoumaru knows that he's not really Kagome's true mate, having put off mating her as long as possible before finally caving for the good of the world. Not that he'll let her go without a fight, possessive bastard. I agree with Shizuka Kaze, Kagome almost definitely will forget to bathe in her haste, and that'll be our cue to sit back and watch the fireworks, LOL. Oh, w-o-w... I'm speechless! Is it just me, or did it just get really hot in here? And all that without a single article of clothing being shed! Great job! And wonderful potrait of Inuyasha and Kagome; you keep them in character but still manage to add a unique twist to everything. How can Kagome not recognize the bond between them? She should have more familiar with the Prophecy than anybody else... Oh, I can't wait to find out how Sesshoumaru reacts when Kagome returns to the castle and he smells Inuyasha all over her. Oh, God I'm completley hooked. I swear, I feel like this story was customized for me... it has plot, sex, Sesshoumaru/Kagura, power play, etc all written to perfection. One question though: can Inuyasha change to human whenever he wants? That would be so cool, he can ensnare Kagome with different characteristics that are all him, but something tells me he's going to be in a world of trouble when she finds out. *evil cackle*.
