I remember this fic from a long time ago, very nice (and surprising) to see it updated. It's always good to see another author who properly understands Inuyasha's relationship with Kikyo (in my completely unbiased opinion, of course ;)). Though I'm also inclined to think Inuyasha and Kagome are fully aware of each other's feelings and have been for some time, but I'm much less obsessive over that detail, and uncertainty-angst has its charm. According to my limited knowledge gleaned from wikipedia, you seem to have a good grounding in Japanese lore going, too. Though I'm not sure how pervasive the concept of bushido was during the warring states era. There were writings about it during the time, but I had the impression too few actually followed it until it became law in the Edo period.

I had almost completely forgotten this story but I am so glad that I reread it from the begginning. I love this fic. It is so true to Kagome and Inuyasha. you express them so when and really put into picture what is going through their minds. The example with the fish is definatily true and is something that anyone could use to reflect on their life. I really did enjoy reading this chapter and hope to read the next chapter soon. ^_^ ja mata!

After reading many fics that absolutely reeked of mediocrity, it's absolutely refreshing to see that someone still understands the impact of genuinely good writing! Good gracious, you're alive! I hope life has been treating you well and I'm going to selfishly admit to being glad you've returned to the fandom. Some interesting plot threads have come into being: the specificity of the kiso horse--how will that be used; InuYasha having a run-in with a charmingly tolerant goddess who has the ability to clarify his deepest desires through parable; Kagome becoming claustrophobic because of her own thoughts and emotions...it's a melting pot of newborn plot threads! You characterizations remain well spun and believable and show great dynamic potential to grow and adjust as the story needs with equal believability. My curiosity remains peaked and my attention was easily reengaged through the fluidity of your written voice and the accessibility of your dialogue. Most of us, I'm sure, will quietly pray it won't be too long until you take up your place at the loom and continue weaving these threads into a new tapestry for us to enjoy =) By the way, as a compulsive perfectionist snob: I didn't notice any problems with anything in the chapter spelling/grammatically/or otherwise ...not that I was reading looking for them or anything, i was excited to see an update for you. I just tend to notice things out of habit :sweatdrop: can't help myself xD Glad to see you back, hopefully to stay for at least a little while. Happy spring ^^ ~angelica

So, so glad you picked this up again! You have wonderful storytelling skills, the emotions and setting are absolutely lifelike. Love the insights into K and I deeper thoughts. They are both uncertain without being juvenile. I can't wait to see where this goes, please give us more, and soon!

You are a truly amazing author!!! Your imagery is extrodinary as well as your dialogue. I love it how you weave bits of Japanense and culture in to the story. The one thing that amazes me most is how in-character and in depth your stories are. You have everyone's personality down to a tee. The characters reactions, thoughts, concerns, and feelings are like those of real people. It's just breathtaking. You are definitely one of my favorite authors! :)

Your writing style is so fluid and accessable; I've enjoyed this so much. Nice idea about Eri and Hojo- I can't wait to read more about it; although, perhaps something really marvelous is capturing your attention in real life (wink), since you haven't managed an update since January. Also, for whatever strange reason, I happen to think that a guy buying clothes for his lover is INSANELY sexy. Don't know why, I just do. I can't think of a single improvement that you could make, well, other than finishing it if you ever get the time. Also, I found your work by referral from the Argentenian that wrote "Love Potion". She says you co-wrote that, and I must say, it has a unique style- parts of it read like poetry. Couldn't find the Trusuprise YOU mentioned, tho. Anyhow, thanks for a wonderful start to a great fic. Even if I can't do creative writing myself, at least I've learned something.
