Rei Ayanami is easily the most introverted of the pilots. Quiet and unassuming, she's often seen and not heard. It's her defining personality trait. But little does she realize that that's about to change...

Asuka Langley Soryu consideres herself above school chores. Fed up, she decides to leave. Unfortunately, a certain blue-haired pilot just happens to be in the irate German's exit path. And if Rei won't get out of the way, then Asuka will just push her aside. After all, it's not like ol' Wondergirl will *feel* it or anything if she slipped and fell...

But Rei does feel it, and with that nasty spill, Rei suddenly isn't quite as introverted as she used to be. She suddenly feels the need to express herself and take an active part in her own life. And she begins to notice Shinji in a way she hadn't before now.

But Shinji isn't sure how to deal with this new Rei. How could she have gone from being so shy and introverted to being so outgoing and expressive? Would the old Rei ever return? Or should Rei stay the way that she is now?

And even as Shinji contemplates these things, a jealous Ritsuko plots to rid herself of Yui Ikari's clone, once and for all!
