I'm thrilled you update so often -not complaining just excited-, nice chapter it's like waiting to sthg to happen. So Jomei's father was not better than him... he is the product of his raising and culture, a very twisted one. Sadly that is not sthg. that only occured in the past. Fanatics are everywhere and on everyera. Good work, keep going! Love your poems!

are you eliminating the 'jomei' or are you going to teach him a lesson if he isn't too far gone? the last thing one wants is to make a martyr of a madman with twisted and dangerous teachings. . . maybe his uncle can give yasha some pointers on sword techniques. . . that was a pleasant and peaceful chapter except the horror of the his sister's death. ~ thank you, ginny

Comment/Review:
With each new chapter I am being drawn further and further into your story. As I read the last word for each chapter, 'my inner child' is screaming: No, that can't be all, I want to read more of this story NOW! But the much more patient adult side of my personality knows that if I wait quietly the author will present us with a well plotted and thoughtfully written chapter us to enjoy. So take your time (but hopefully not too long since you seem to be averaging one and sometimes two chapters a week) updating. Your excellently crafted chapters are worth waiting for.

Comment/Review:
the players converge... the hoshi, taijiya and youkai i assume are meeting up with the rest of the group? are they in the same hut that yash and kagome stayed? when you mentioned that the boys had gone to off the get the water i had worried about them meeting up with the 'jomei' character. it seems that you have written this 'sect' as a malignancy that quickly spreads and no youkai will be safe from them. i was worried... a master endeavours to elicit emotion from those who view their work, in this you have succeeded. ~ thank you, ginny

wow, an amazing story. the buddhist teaching swirling around the iy world and characters, the strange interpretation of the sect, the reactions of the players, the descriptions of the world, the scenery, the action, emotions etc eloquently executed... threads of different colors, textures woven into a rich and impressive tapestry by a master craftswoman. . . i shall be in eager anticipation of future installments ~ thank you, ginny

Possibly the most original and thought provoking story I have ever read on here. Very deep, and with what looks like a powerful message shaping up. Awesome work.

This was my favorite line: "Okay, Inari, we're taking care of him," he said to the Kami who loved foxes. That is such a subtle and perfect Inu-ism; it has a slightly modern expression, a facade of tough-guy-ism, and an absolutely Feudal sense of knowing when not to mess with the Gods. Loved it. I must say, from the perspective of a sword-swinging, Tibetan Buddhist student, raving IY fangirl, this fic just hits the mark in so many ways. I like the way you've woven in the very real entwining of Buddhist practice and martial arts training. More, please!

Am really enjoying this: the interweaving of Buddhist sensibility with a very good job of characterization is quite intriguing. The conflict between the well-meaning, if not very compassionate Jomei, and the Yokai Buddhists is very original.
